This one is going to be really interesting, and I think you're really going to love it. My guest today has been "unemployable" since 1992, having founded four companies, mentored countless individuals, and hosted the popular Don’t Be Caged By Your Age podcast, where she helps folks dissolve internalized ageist beliefs so they can thrive after 65.
We explore a wide range of topics, but we focus on the complexities of aging, purpose, and community. We also throw in some conversation about women and sex, truly covering all the things. We confront ageism head-on by exploring the value of intergenerational relationships and the importance of maintaining your purpose throughout life, no matter where you are in your aging journey. And let's hope it's a long journey!
This conversation will help you understand the importance of self-discovery, self-love, and creating spaces where we can thrive. It is as much a celebration of aging as it is a wake-up call to get our heads right about the potential of what comes next.

Today we are talking about Marketing, Resilience, and Identity with Ella Parlor & All the things!
I met Ella not exactly through our businesses, interests, or anything else, but because we are both way into podcasts and share the same name. Today, you are going to meet the incredible Ella Parlor. This unique connection sparked a relationship leading to this conversation where we share our thoughts on much more than just our names. We jump right into identity, resilience, balancing societal expectations with personal and professional life, and defining who we are every single day.
Ella has a dynamic career in marketing within the alcohol industry. She channeled her experience into her book High Tolerance, which explores the industry's marketing strategies and examines the societal impact of alcohol. Though I still drink, I have been deeply exploring my relationship with alcohol, so the idea of understanding how its marketing impacts our choices and lives is very important to me. In this episode, you'll get a dynamic look at a truly remarkable person and her unwavering commitment to finding purpose in adversity, encouraging authenticity, and promoting a life you can love.

In this episode of the “And All The Things” podcast, I, Michaela, your host and your Joy Coach, branch out into a solo podcast that feels quite like I am walking out on a limb. I preach vulnerability, finding our voice, and taking the pause to reflect. I preach all of this, and yet…I was unwittingly ignoring all of it.
In this solo episode, I share with you my own experiences with the addictive allure of audio content, and the challenges it poses to maintaining curiosity and creativity. Despite the irony of discussing silence on a podcast, I'll provide practical strategies for integrating moments of quiet reflection into our daily routines, empowering us to enhance our mental well-being and reclaim our focus.
Even with my awareness of the profound impact that cultivating moments of silence can have on our lives, I found myself addicted to the noise - not so much the noise of our culture, but the noise (podcasts and audiobooks) that I was using voluntarily to silence my authentic voice. To make sense of this, I began to explore the concept of addiction beyond substances, examining how even behaviors that aren’t “bad or dangerous” indeed can be when they hinder our personal development.
By marrying scientific understanding with spiritual insight, I welcome you to reassess your relationship with noise and distractions, and to embrace the sanctuary of silence as a pathway to deeper self-discovery and fulfillment.
Please enjoy this episode of “Silence & And All the Things”.

Hello friends and welcome back to another episode of “And All the Things”. Today we’re going to talk a little bit about the comment I just made in the intro - that our stories evolve together when we learn and grow and serve with other people and then reflect upon it. Ed Delia is one of those people for me.
More than just a friend - more than just a business partner and vendor, he has been a mentor, a guide, and a voice of reassurance that finding my voice what’s the most important work I could do. In this conversation you will hear about the work he does as president of Delia Associates, you will hear about his creativity, life in family business, marketing with integrity, and using old world honesty. But we are also going to talk about living in wonder, the art of baseball, and identifying with yourself and your own personal brand. Without further ado, I offer to you, Ed Delia And All the Things.
Ed joined Delia Associates in 1995 and was named President in 2000, taking over from his father and founder, Michael Delia. Ed transformed Delia Associates from a traditional advertising and PR agency into a growth center for B2B brands. Foundational to the company’s success is its proprietary B2B growth platform, The Brand Leadership Solution®. Over 150 brands have been developed or revitalized using this proven methodology. Ed holds a B.A. in English from Dickinson College, in addition to a Professional Certified Marketer designation from the American Marketing Association. He is a frequent speaker to organizations and a guest lecturer at several colleges and universities.

Meet Tara Gilvar: friend, mentor, colleague, and overall inspiration✨
Tara Gilvar is the Founder and CEO of B.I.G. Believe. Inspire. Grow. a global women’s empowerment organization.
A natural born connector, Tara spent the early part of her career, after graduating from Boston College as a political science major, working in Boston politics and building national consumer brands at a national advertising agency. Like many women, Tara left the workforce to raise her children. After seeing a bumper sticker on a teacher's car that read, “Remember Who You Wanted to Be,“ her life changed. She knew she had to act.
After gathering nearly 40 women from her town into her living room to discuss the pursuit of their business dreams one morning in 2009, Tara realized, immediately, how the development of B.I.G. could provide better balance, more personal fulfillment and a sense of intellectual camaraderie that had been missing for most of her adult life. It is a concept that she has been driven to share with women around the country.

He is a marketing master, a wellness coach and trainer, and the center of a dynamically beautiful family and community. In our conversation we hit on diversity, growing roots in rocky soil, and what it means to come home. We also leave a lot of room for Round 2, so enjoy our chat, and we will have to do it again!
His Takeaway: Open the door. When you have the opportunity to see something on the other side - to understand others - to be clear there’s an opportunity to learn and grow, open the door. Stay curious.

Our guest today has been guide in so many ways for me, and her willingness to share her journey through yoga, law, and chronic illness is a gift to us all. In a recent conversation I had with Marissa McAleer, I wrote down this statement she easily recited. "I have fallen in love with the process of doing everything I can to show up with this body for as long as I can."
I was arrested in the moment by her certainty, her vulnerability, and her ability to embrace the journey - with all the bumps and limps and bruises it may bring. Marissa has inspired me from day 1, and I am sure you will feel the same!
Her Takeaway: Movement is medicine.

Some moments in life will never be forgotten. Meeting Pastor LaThelma Yenn-Batah (@Queen_Thelly) at the Easter Service at Flemington Baptist Church in New Jersey is precisely one of those moments. In an instant, I was intrigued and downright smitten, and I believe you will be too when you tune into & All the Things. Together we discuss what it means to unfreeze our imaginations and remember that God is unpredictable, so we must stay curious!
Listen in as she paints her vision of unleashing people with their gifts and talents into the world to build the Kingdom God has called us to create.
Her Takeaway: Go Find God. You will find yourself.
Maya Angelou: Our Grandmothers
