We are all worshipers of someone or something, whether we believe in Jesus or not. We give value and attention to people and temporary things because we long for something bigger than ourselves to fulfill our needs and desires.
While some of these things may be good, they can become idols in our lives, because any created thing we worship, other than the Creator Himself, is idolatry. In this message, Pastor Kevin helps us unpack the meaning of idols and worship, and how we can find rest in worshiping the only one who will fulfill our longings – Jesus.
What is the most important thing in life? Fortune, family, fame, position, power? What do we do when the things we value are threatened, removed or fade away?
We cannot choose our circumstances, or determine our journey through life, but we can choose what gets priority in our lives. The way we spend our money, use our time and order our priorities demonstrate what we really value.
To determine the values of Heaven, we look to the example of Jesus. When we seek God first, we align our values with His. In seeking one thing, everything else falls into place – putting the First Things First.
We all want order in our lives, we chase after control. Often our list of concerns and cares become deep-seated worries that dominate our thoughts.
What if there was a way to convert fear into faith? Together we’ll learn that can we trade anxiety and anguish for a calm and carefree life. In seeking one thing, everything else falls into place, fixing our eyes on that which endures – putting the First Things First.
Containers tell the story of motherhood – from a baby bottle to a sippy cup to a lunch box, a bookbag and a box for all of the things you send off your kids to college with. Moms keep kids going, moving them from container to container with the encouragement, hope and reassurance needed to keep going.
In this special Mother’s Day service, watch as Pastor Kevin and Rea share the message of hope that we can find in Christ through the story of the widow in need of oil in 2 Kings, and how we can give and receive hope in our relationships, for the conclusion of our WonderUs series.
Wonder should be part of our relationships; a shared experience. Through this series we’ve learnt that wonder can leak unless we work hard to retain it. Good relationships cultivate resilience.
Resilience doesn’t come naturally in our world. We all have external challenges and internal resistance. We can choose to learn rhythms that will increase our resilience, deepen our devotion and grow our relationships.
In our relationships we can tend to lose wonder. We can get stuck in the mundane, the routine and the ritual of relationships, instead of leaning into them deeper.
Through empathetic wonder, through stopping and asking questions, connection with others is made. Learn how to build sincere relationships filled with authentic love, by simply taking the time.
It’s easy to compartmentalize our lives: keeping our social life separate from our family life, work life and spiritual life. When we live like this we are wearing a mask and not showing others our real selves, so we aren’t allowing others to truly love us in our relationships.
In order to have relationships built on integrity, we need Jesus to be the Lord of our whole lives, not just certain parts of our lives. Learn how to live a more integrated life, a life of integrity that draws people to want to be in a relationship with you and ultimately to want to be in a relationship with Jesus.
There are areas of loneliness in every one of our lives where we either lack the relationships we long for or the relationships we have are filled with tension. There is a key to obtaining good relationships and it’s rooted in wisdom, the practice of humility.
Learn what Jesus has to say about humility and how to begin embracing it in your own life.
There is so much bad news in our world. It’s easy to get caught up in the pain and suffering that bombards social media, new channels and our lives.
Jesus came to earth to transform our lives. He came for everyone — there’s nothing that we’ve done that could keep us from God’s grace through Jesus. Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and raise from the dead — that’s Good News that gives us hope, both now and forever!

This week was a heavy one in Nashville, filled with grief, anger, sadness and even fear. Rightly so, the heaviness in the aftermath of a tragedy like what happened at the Covenant School can feel unbearable and without hope.
In this message, Pastor Kevin acknowledges the pain and heartache of the collective suffering of this event, while also pointing to Jesus, who exemplified what it is like to have hope in the midst of suffering. As we lead up to Resurrection Sunday, this message is for anyone who needs hope in a dark place.
You may have just come out of a storm, or you are in a storm now, or you are about to be in a storm — storms in life will come. Fear is the natural response to storms. We fear circumstances beyond our control, for good reason.
But, you don’t have to fear the storms. You can have peace in the middle of the storms in your life, because there is no storm that Jesus doesn’t have authority over. He can rescue you from any storm.
Have you ever felt like the gap between you and God was too large to overcome? Have you ever felt that you are in too deep in hurt, in pain, in choices that have led you to places you don’t want to be anymore?
In Mark 10 and 15, Lisa Harper teaches on how God’s heart has always been for His people – how He has always been on an all out rescue mission for us. His biggest display of His rescue mission was when He sent His son Jesus to ultimately and finally bridge that gap between our pit and the love we need to get out of it.
We can get stuck in destructive patterns, stuck in circumstances beyond our control or stuck in the moral choices we have made along the way. Getting stuck is a normal part of being human, because Nobody’s Perfect, but staying stuck doesn’t have to be your future.
Learn how Jesus came to offer to rescue you from your shame and give you a way out of your stuckness.

It’s a time of year when lots of us are considering new ventures and new routines. But it’s hard to take a step, when you’re afraid, or in the dark. If we want to take these steps, we’re going to need to be brave and resolute.

Through this Take Courage series, we’ll learn that the Bible has a lot to say on this subject; we’ll unpack the truth that Jesus himself encourages us to Take Courage.
