Pastor Jonah Stalsberg teaches from Acts 28:1-16. Today in your text I want to show you the importance of Doctrine and supernatural experiences in the life of a Christian so that you will seek everything that God has for you.
Pastor Enos Marshall dives into Acts 27, teaching from the whole chapter. You must be the light.
Pastor Enos Marshall finishes out Acts 26, teaching from verses 19-32. Your obedience to Jesus may not always make sense, but it will always be right.
Pastor Justin Hansen teaches from Acts 26:1-18. Paul defends himself against accusations by giving his testimony of transformation from a persecutor of Christians to a devoted follower of Christ. He recounts how Jesus appeared to him on the road to Damascus, giving him a new mission to spread the message of repentance and forgiveness through Jesus. Paul emphasizes that his actions are in line with the hope and promise given by God, which is the resurrection of the dead. Just as Paul was transformed and given a mission to share the hope of the resurrection, we too are called to embrace this hope and actively share it with those around us.
Acts 25 illustrates Paul’s legal struggle as he faces unjust accusations and political maneuvering under new Roman Governor Festus and King Herod Agrippa II. Despite being imprisoned for two years and facing complex legal challenges, Paul confidently appeals to Caesar, demonstrating his trust in God’s justice and sovereignty. This passage encourages us to remain steadfast in our faith and trust in God’s plan, even when facing unfair circumstances. Like Paul, we can find strength in our convictions and seek God’s guidance as we navigate our own trials, knowing that He is in control and will ultimately work things out for our good.
Pastor Justin Hansen goes through Acts 24. Acts 24 recounts Paul's trial before the Roman governor Felix. Paul defends himself against accusations from Jewish leaders, arguing that he has not broken any laws. Felix delays a verdict, hoping for a bribe, and keeps Paul in custody. During this time, Paul shares his faith with Felix and his wife, Drusilla. This chapter reminds us to remain steadfast and faithful in challenging situations, using every opportunity to witness to others and uphold our integrity, even when justice seems delayed.
Our Youth Pastor, Pastor Jonah Stalsberg, teaches on Acts 23. This passage illustrates that God views success differently than we do. In life and in ministry we often define ourselves using subjective criteria of success and that leads to an unbiblical view of what really matters. Instead God values faithfulness and obedience to Him.
Pastor Justin Hansen teaches from Acts 21:37-22:30. Acts 22 centers on the Apostle Paul’s defense before the Jewish crowd and Roman authorities in Jerusalem. Paul recounts his background as a Pharisee, his conversion on the road to Damascus, and his mission to the Gentiles. His mention of God sending him to the Gentiles provokes outrage from the crowd, leading to his violent treatment. However, Paul’s revelation of his Roman citizenship prevents his scourging and underscores his legal rights. In the story of our lives, we are not the main characters; God is. Our experiences, whether challenging or triumphant, are part of His greater narrative to reveal His glory and advance His purposes. As we navigate our own journeys, we are called to trust in His sovereignty and to play our roles in reflecting His power and grace.
Pastor Justin Hansen continues in the book of Acts, teaching from Acts 21:27-36. Acts 21:27-36 depicts the chaos and conflict that arose when Paul returned to Jerusalem. It shows how misunderstandings and accusations can lead to chaos, but Christ followers are called to cultivate peace.
Pastor Enos Marshall continues in our Acts series, teaching from Acts 21:17-26. Unity matters.
Pastor Justin jumps into Acts 21, teaching from verses 1-16. In Acts 21:1-16, Paul demonstrates his unwavering commitment to follow God's guidance by journeying to Jerusalem, despite forewarnings of hardship and opposition. His obedience reflects trust in God's plan and a willingness to endure suffering for the sake of spreading the gospel, showing the tension between divine calling and human concern for his safety.
Pastor Justin Hansen finishes out Acts chapter 20. Acts 20:13-38 captures Paul's final words of encouragement, warning, and exhortation to the elders of Ephesus, emphasizing his commitment to serving God faithfully, his dedication to preaching the gospel, and his charge to protect and shepherd the church.
Pastor Justin jumps into Acts 20, teaching from verses 7-12. God can work in miraculous ways when we are present and obedient to His call. It highlights the importance of our availability and faithfulness, emphasizing that God uses our willingness to show up as a catalyst for His transformative work in our lives and the lives of others.
Pastor Jonah Stalsberg continues in our study of the book of Acts, teaching from Acts 19:21-20:6. This passage illustrates we as Christians are to stand on the one gospel in a world that has many competing worldviews. Sometimes these worldviews stand in direct opposition to each other, and we have to stand firm in the Gospel. We stand firm by being committed to Doctrine and knowing Gods word.
Pastor Justin continues in the book of Acts, teaching from Acts 19:8-20. This passage illustrates how persistent preaching of the Gospel, accompanied by miraculous manifestations and confrontations with counterfeit spirituality, can lead to radical repentance and transformation. Acts 19:8-20 shows the importance of genuine faith and spiritual revival in bringing about profound change and renewal in both personal lives and the broader community.
Pastor Justin jumps into Acts 19. Acts 19:1-7 is about the importance of understanding and experiencing the fullness of the Holy Spirit in the Christian life. It highlights the significance of receiving the Holy Spirit's indwelling presence and power, which brings about transformation and empowerment for effective ministry. This passage emphasizes the need for believers to align their understanding and experience with the truth of God's Word, leading to a deeper relationship with God and greater effectiveness in serving Him.
Pastor Justin finishes out Acts 18. Acts 18:24-28 emphasizes the significance of learning from others and deepening one's understanding of the teachings of Jesus. It also demonstrates the transformative power of accurate instruction and the Holy Spirit's work in empowering believers to proclaim the Gospel boldly and effectively.
Pastor Justin continues in chapter 18 of the book of Acts, teaching from verses 12-23. Paul continues his ministry in Corinth and demonstrates what it takes to be a true disciple of the Lord. After experiencing difficulties, he is encouraged by God’s reminder that he is not alone and can’t be silent. This allows Paul to embrace the safety of God’s protection and embrace trust for the adventure ahead.
Pastor Justin Hansen dives into Acts 18, teaching from verse 1-11. Paul arrives in Corinth weary and discouraged, but God strengthens him so he can continue to fulfill the call God has placed on his life. When everything seems to be falling apart and the promises of God are all you have, you will find they are all you need.
Happy Mother's Day! This morning, Pastor Liz Hansen teaches from the book of Ruth.
“But Ruth said, ‘Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.’” Ruth 1:16
Pastor Justin Hansen finishes out Acts 17, teaching from verses 16-34. By observing how Paul evangelized the influential city of Athens, we find some important lessons about engaging unbelievers today.
Pastor Justin Hansen teaches from Acts 17:10-15. Paul shows us there is a higher class; a better class of believers in the Body of Christ. And they are those who come to the Word of God with eagerness, searching the Scriptures daily to see if what they’re being taught lines up with the Bible! Paul shows us what we are supposed to do with our Bible!
Pastor Justin Hansen dives into chapter 17 of the book of Acts. Teaching from verses 1-9. This is the message needed for today, the message that turned the ancient world upside down.
Pastor Justin Hansen finishes out Acts 16, teaching from verses 19-40. Paul experiences a setback but was able to recognize that God had appointed this setback for a divine purpose. Instead of running from the problem, he chose to do give praise to God and by doing so opens the door for God to do something amazing.
Pastor Justin Hansen continues in the book of Acts, teaching from Acts 16:6-18. You never know the influence you may have on another person. You never know the impact you may make based on how you live your life. You never know who is watching and how your decisions may be affecting someone else. But we know this. Think for a moment about how many people have indirectly affected your life because of things they said or did. Think about who you may have modeled your life after. Think about how other people’s actions caused you to change how you would live your life. What we see in the book of Acts are Christians making big impacts in the lives of others. Acts 16:6-18, shows us to see the power of closed doors and how God can open hearts.
It's Resurrection Sunday! Pastor Justin Hansen teaches about the importance of the Resurrection. The resurrection of Jesus Christ means everything! It means he is who he said he was, that he has unlimited power, and that he fulfills his promises. So, why does this matter for us today?
Pastor Justin dives into Acts 16, teaching from verses 1-5. Acts 16:1-5 is a striking picture of Paul’s faithfulness to the Lord’s church. Paul’s faithfulness to make disciples and be committed to doctrine serves as an example for us in our own life. Paul shows us that ministry is very relational and the foundation for our relationships are grounded in the Word of God.
Pastor Justin Hansen closes out Acts 15, teaching from Acts 15:36-41. Sometimes followers of Jesus will disagree. Sometimes we are unable to see eye to eye with another person on a particular issue, sometimes our disagreements lead to conflict. So, how do we handle conflict when we find ourselves disagreeing with a fellow believer? Acts 15:36-41 encourages us to prioritize the mission despite our disagreements.
Pastor Enos Marshall dives into Acts 15, teaching from verses 1-35. You can’t stop the message of Jesus from spreading, but you can stop being the means by which it is shared.
Pastor Enos Marshall jumps into Acts chapter 14, teaching from the entire chapter. God wants to use you to change someones eternity.
Pastor Justin Hansen finishes out Acts 13, teaching from Acts 13:42-52. If the Gospel of Jesus Christ is such good news, why does it cause so much opposition? Why is it so often the cause of conflict and even anger? Why is it that the good news of the gospel seems to divide more than it unites? Could it be that – when it is preached in its entirety – the gospel tells people the truth about them-selves? Could it be that – when it is preached in its entirety – the gospel exposes the sin, the self-righteousness, and the lost condition of all who hear it, and then demands that they respond to it? After Paul preaches the gospel, his listeners are left with only two options – they can receive Christ or they can reject Him.
Pastor Justin continues in the book of Acts, teaching from Acts 13:13-41. The claim that Jesus is the only Savior, that anyone who doesn’t believe in Him will face God’s eternal judgment, sounds narrow-minded and arrogant to most people. But if Jesus is who He says He is, and if He has died, risen, and been raised to God’s right had as the Lord of all, then proclaiming the gospel is the most loving things we can do. This good news was the reason for Paul’s mission in Acts 13:13-41.
Pastor Justin Hansen jumps back into the Book of Acts, teaching from Acts 13:1-12. God used one local church for the spread of the gospel among all nations. In the text today, we see five traits of the church at Antioch that should inspire our churches today. The mission of God will be accomplished through the church and will ultimately be dependent on His power.
Pastor Justin finishes our series on A God Sized Vision with Leaving a Legacy in Response to the Gospel Part 2. The things of this world are temporary, but true sacrifice is eternal. We can honor and serve the Lord, while leaving a godly legacy of obedience to the next generation.

Welcome to our Family Christmas at New Heights Church. Pastor Justin kicks off our month of December teaching from Revelation 22:12-17. Our God is an inviting God.
Pastor Justin Hansen continues in the book of Acts, teaching from Acts 11:19-30. The church in Antioch is born and for the first time in the Bible, followers of Jesus are called “Christians”. This new church gives us an incredible example of what a church is supposed to look like and what a church is supposed to do.
Pastor Justin Hansen continues in the book of Acts, teaching from Acts 11:1-18. Peter is obedient to the Lord, but his brothers grill him over breaking the Church rules. In Peter’s defense before the Church leaders, the Holy Spirit furnishes us with some very practical ways we can use to stay dead center in the middle of God’s will for our lives.
Pastor Justin Hansen continues in the book of Acts, teaching from Acts 10:44-48. A man of God preaches the Word of God so that people can believe in God. The method has not changed. God still uses people to spread the Gospel and bring salvation to the world. However, we cannot preach the Gospel without the power of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Justin Hansen continues in Acts, teaching from Acts 10:34-43. God kicks open the door to the Gentiles in fantastic fashion here in Acts 10. God gives visions to both Cornelius and Peter in this pivotal chapter in the history of the Church. The Lord gave Peter the Keys to the Kingdom, but before he’s able to open the door to the Gentiles, the Lord needs to strip Peter of prejudice. In this section, Peter presents the gospel in 3 movements: the life and ministry of Jesus, crucifixion and resurrection, and the promise of salvation to all.
Pastor Justin Hansen continues in the book of Acts, teaching from Acts 10:1-33. This story about Cornelius and Peter has so much to say about the racism that is still very much present in our world today. They have a lot to say about our natural tendency to think of other ethnic groups besides our own as unclean and common and corrupt. They have a lot to say about world missions and our commitment as evangelical Christians to take the gospel of Christ to every ethnic group in the world so that people may be saved from the coming wrath of God.
Pastor Justin Hansen teaches from Acts 9:32-43. No matter who you are, every one of us will feel the sting of sickness and death. Someone you know, someone you love, is suffering right now, and perhaps you are, too. In Acts 9:32–43, we find the stories of two miraculous events: a paralyzed man walks and a dead woman lives once again. These miracles reveal the coming kingdom of God. This is a glimpse of life as it was meant to be, and life as it will be for those who are in Christ. * We apologize for the technical difficulties at the end of the sermon.
Pastor Justin Hansen teaches from Acts 9:20-31. Saul had set out for Damascus intending to arrest the disciples of Jesus and bring them bound to Jerusalem to be sentenced by the chief priests. Now, instead, he is preaching Jesus! A wonderful change in his life had been wrought. This change certainly amazed those who heard him preach.
Pastor Justin Hansen continues in our Acts series, teaching from Acts 9:10-19. Ananias is a man who had a purpose. He played a part in the conversion of Saul of Tarsus – who will become the Great Apostle Paul. Saul, the fierce persecutor of the Church, finds himself hunted down by the Hounds of Heaven. The Predator has become the Prey; the Hunter has become the Hunted, in this fascinating account of one of the greatest men used of God to ever walk the planet, but it all started with a faithful obedient servant by the name of Ananias.
Special Guest, Dr. Mark Hausfeld, joins us this morning, speaking on engaging the world locally and globally with the Gospel.
Pastor Justin Hansen continues in the book of Acts, teaching from Acts 9:1-9. We experience the power of conversion, and specifically conversion as a type of resurrection in Jesus Christ, a spiritual resurrection. Conversion is a moment of one’s salvation but not the whole of it. Conversion is the moment when we believe in the name of Jesus and have faith in his life, death, and resurrection. It is in this moment our souls rise from the grave of sin and death. Luke in Acts 9 is trying to show us this with Saul’s conversion. Saul had just been complicit in the death of Stephen, and then right after, he persecuted and aggressively attacked the church. Saul caused death and was living in complete darkness and sin. Yet, it is Saul that God uses to show the power of new resurrection life.
Today, Pastor Justin talks about all the wins of New Heights Church. He also discuses our mission statement as well as our core values.
Pastor Justin Hansen teaches from Acts 8:18-25. Luke describes some of the remarkable events that happened when the gospel advanced into Samaria through the faithful witness of Philip.
Pastor Justin Hansen teaches from Acts 8:4-17. Luke describes some of the remarkable events that happened when the gospel advanced into Samaria through the faithful witness of Philip.
Pastor Justin Hansen teaches from Acts 8:1-4. The church rightly grieves over Stephen’s death, but God uses it to advance his redemptive purposes. Because of persecution the church scatters outside of Jerusalem and evangelizes in the regions mentioned in 1:8. The enemy cannot stop the purposes of God. Suffering may be inevitable, but God’s mission is unstoppable.
Pastor Justin Hansen closes out Acts chapter 7, teaching from Acts 7:37-60. We continue to deal with the defense of Stephen, a disciple and deacon in the early church, who was moving among the people performing miracles and preaching. In the latter part of Stephen’s message, we will see that God continues to speak to His people, dwell with His people, and stand with his people.

Pastor Justin Hansen teaches from Acts 5:33-42. Luke shows us that real disciples of Jesus Christ are not called to be wimps in the face of persecution. The message of Jesus Christ must be proclaimed no matter what consequences may come.
Pastor Enos Marshall teaches from Acts 5:11-16. With everything you do in this life, make Jesus famous.
Pastor Justin jumps into Acts 5:1-11. Luke has just painted a picture for us of how unity in the church will accomplish God’s mission. Now, Luke will show us how the greatest opposition does not always come from the pressures and persecution form the outside but sometimes it comes from the inside. Today we are going to see a moment of failure and tragedy in the early church, and I believe God is warning some of us directly in it.
Pastor Justin teaches from Acts 4:32-37. Luke is going to show us that through authentic unity the Church will fulfill God’s mission. The Church’s collective potential is much stronger than anyone individual.
Pastor Liz Hansen shares a special message on Mother's Day. Even in times of great trial and opposition, Christians must remain faithful to God and his Gospel, imitating Christ’s own steadfastness as He endured persecution and death for our sake.
Pastor Justin teaches from Acts 4:23-31. After being told to speak no more in the name of Jesus, threatening them if they do. When Peter and Joh returned to the company of believers, they reported how the rulers treated them. Then they prayed to the sovereign God of the universe. They remind themselves that God is in control and that no enemy of Christ could abuse his followers more than God allowed. They pray for more boldness, a prayer that all followers of Jesus Christ should pray.
Pastor Justin teaches from Acts 4:1-13. The church moves forward against increasingly strong persecution and opposition. Luke shows us that we have a responsibility to share the good news because Jesus Christ is the only hope of the world, and “there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Pastor Justin teaches from Acts 3:112-26.Peter takes advantage of a God given opportunity and stands up in front of his adversaries and proclaims that the Jesus whom they killed was indeed the suffering servant and the Christ—the long-awaited Messiah, come to save them. Luke shows us that despite the inevitable backlash that will sharing our faith may bring, we are to proclaim the Gospel and the Holy Spirit will give us the courage. And by doing so, we will be helping bring people to God and bringing God the glory He deserves.
