Lindfield Learning Village is a new state school in New South Wales, Australia. We are a comprehensive, co-educational school for students of all ability levels from Kindergarten to Year 12. Our innovative educational model is designed to create independent, resilient learners who possess the learning dispositions required for success in their life within and beyond school. At Lindfield Learning Village every member of our community is embraced, valued, and known. In Episode 4, we speak with Mark Burgess, who is Lindfield Learning Village’s Secondary Deputy Principal. Mark details not only some of the key pillars of the Educational Model used at LLV, but dives into the challenges, the success stories and the importance of the partnerships between teacher, students and parents.
In Episode 3, we speak with Lou Deibe, the Primary Deputy Principal of Lindfield Learning Village. With over 15 years as a primary educator in both the public and independent sector, Lou discusses her journey in helping to build a brand new school with a future focused educational model. Lou dives into the success stories, the challenges and the tenets of LLV's New Educational Model.
In Episode 2, we speak with Stephanie McConnell, the Principal of Lindfield Learning Village. Stephanie has began her career as a High School English teacher back in 1991, and now has the extraordinary opportunity and privilege of leading a flagship school, that could become a prototype for the future of education in New South Wales. In this episode, Stephanie discusses why she believes education needs to be reimagined, how Lindfield Learning Village is doing that with it’s New Educational Model and the challenges and success stories she’s experienced along the way.
