No one ever accused Suzanne of being subtle, not the shuttle driver who took her to the airport, the woman she was in line with at the grocery store yesterday and certainly not her audiences. Subtle, she is not.
After 25 years of groundbreaking, stereotype-shattering and brutally honest comedy, she’s not about to start pulling punches now.
The kid from Amish Country who began her comedy career on a dare is celebrating a quarter century of out, open, no-holds-barred comedy.
Suzanne tells the truth. The truth is life is funny, especially when it’s fermented in Suzanne’s mind. That’s why she could never be in the closet, making her a trailblazer when she started doing stand-up in the 1990s. She was the first openly lesbian comedian with an HBO Special and the first openly lesbian comedian on “Late Night with David Letterman.”
Heck, she was on Sally Jesse Raphael in 1991 on a show called “Breaking the Lesbian Stereotype…Lesbians Who Don’t Look Like Lesbians.” From “OMG, a lesbian has long hair and wears make up” to “I went to Helen and Jane’s wedding last weekend,” that’s how far we’ve come in the 25 years Suzanne has been telling her truth to audiences all over the world. Some of that is certainly thanks to her candor, courage and charisma.
Suzanne never does the same show twice. She can’t. She doesn’t write anything down. She charges boldly onto the stage and what happens is always a mystery and a delight. Enjoy a wild night of comedy in a city near you.

Billy West was born in 1952 in Detroit, Michigan. Best known for his work on Ren & Stimpy, West has a career in radio and television that began in the 1980's when he did comedic impersonations for Charles Laquidara's Big Mattress morning show on Boston's WBNC FM radio network.
By the mid-90s, he had moved to doing impersonations of Cincinnati Reds owner Marge Schott on The Howard Stern Show, giving him greater exposure. From there, West became involved with the Nickelodeon shows Doug and Ren & Stimpy.
Portraying the title characters on both shows, Billy West saw his voiceover work reach an even larger, yet younger audience. This led to Warner Bros. hiring him for the film Space Jam in 1996. Featuring Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan and the cast of Looney Tunes, West voiced Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd, two characters whom he has sporadically voiced throughout the next decade.
He is also known for his portrayal of Philip J. Fry on the cartoon Futurama, which began in 1999 and has continued on through a number of changes through 2012 and currently airs on Comedy Central. In addition he is also the voice of the iconic Red M&M.

In his seven years as the lead singer of the legendary Tower of Power, Tommy Bowes garnered nothing but rave reviews. Those in the know are aware of the talent it takes to front a ten piece band with five powerful horns, and reviewers have consistently praised Bowes’ “high
range, powerful voice, and unique versatility."
Touring almost non-stop with Tower, Tommy sang to audiences in Japan and Europe, with sold-out shows in Tokyo, Scandinavia, Germany, Italy, Paris and London. He crisscrossed the United States and Canada performing in venues from small clubs to the giant Newport and
Playboy Jazz Festivals, Milwaukee's renowned Summerfest and an appearance on Late Night with David Letterman.
During this time, Tower recorded two albums, Monster on a Leash and
T.O.P. with Tommy on lead vocals.
Influenced in his early years by artists from Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan to Aerosmith, Yes and James Taylor, Tommy played guitar and sang, working the bar scene in Boston from 1976 to 1982. In 1982 he moved to New York City, continuing along those same lines in small clubs. It was there, that he was fortunate enough to meet and work with quite a few phenomenal
musicians. He played bass, composed for and sang with the band G-Jam (later becoming Bang the Drum), which was prominent in the Village scene, from 1982 to 1986. Known for his ability to make many styles his own, he became an in-demand session singer.
In 1987, Tommy joined Funk Filharmonik as lead vocalist. He worked with them until 1989 before leaving for California and TOP. He returned in 1995, and continues to work with them today. In 2008, they released their first CD, entitled Everybody Get Down, after 24 years in existence. You can check out the band at www.funkfilharmonik.com.
In 2000, he met up with Dr. Dave Beyers, who co-founded the Steely Dan tribute band known as Stealin Dan and was invited to sit in. Things clicked and Tom was invited to join the band. Considering the fact that he was a huge Steely Dan fan and had absolutely no fear of spreading himself too thin... he jumped at the chance and began crisscrossing Long Island on
two fronts. The members of Stealin Dan eventually parted ways and split into two separate bands. FM - A Steely Dan Tribute, of which Tommy is currently a member, performs regularly in the NYC area.
Over the years, Tommy has had the pleasure of performing along side a wide range of artists including Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, YES drummer Alan White, Roger Daltrey, Dave Mason, Queen Latifah, The Doobie Brothers, Michael McDonald, Spike Edney and Jamie Moses from Queen, Mark Hudson, Greg Adams, Will Lee, Michelle Shocked and many others.
He can also be heard in some major motion pictures including,
White Palace (Universal – 1990), View
From the Top (Miramax-2003) and Shaolin Soccer(Miramax-2004).

Carrie has a lot of balls in the air.
Whether performing her hilarious yet touching solo show, “7,000 Sailors Can’t Be Wrong,” doing stand-up comedy and voiceovers, or basking in the glow of being featured in “The Aristocrats,” she’s a busy gal.
Carrie’s stand-up career was foreshadowed by her graduation from UC Berkeley with a degree in Rhetoric. She was barely able to eke out a living posing provocative questions that required no response. Apparently, there’s not a lot of call for that. While working as a receptionist a Kaiser Hospital in Oakland, Carrie began “professional party guesting,” which led to being handily escorted out of many fashionable homes in the Bay Area. A harrowing stint as the emcee of an all-male strip show made Carrie dream of spending quality time with a man who could read a book without illustrations.
The road memories: Carrie’s the only comic who can say that she opened up for both Jack Jones AND the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the same decade. But lest we forget, there are also sojourns to thirty-six U.S. states, six provinces in Canada, cruise ships, English television, and even a week in Guam. She’s headlined at CAROLINE’S, THE PUNCH LINES, THE IMPROVISATIONS, THE COMEDY STORES, and CAESAR’S TAHOE, to name a few.
In addition to the road, Carrie was regularly on television doing every stand-up ensemble show from PBS’ COMEDY TONIGHT (which she later hosted for two award-winning seasons), AN EVENING AT THE IMPROV (later hosting a BEST-OF episode), to guesting on every talker from THE SALLY JESSE RAPHAEL SHOW, MARILU, VICKI1, THE LATE SHOW, ‘A’ LIST, LEEZA, to CAROLINE’S, and COMEDY CENTRAL. Her original Comedy Tonight performance was nominated for a local Emmy award, but was beaten out by a dog show. Lots of prisoners wrote letters.
CRISTINA & FRIENDS was to be a precursor to The View, with Cristina Ferrare filling Barbara Walters’ pumps. Carrie was there too, enjoying the live talk format in addition to the clothes, hair, and makeup every day.

Cristina Palumbo was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, but has put in her time in the state of Pennsylvania as well. She is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a BS in Hospitality Management. After leaving her career as an event planner (and her first marriage) to intern for free as a 28-year-old college graduate with a dream, she found herself with a new career in broadcasting, which brought her back to her home of NYC. A self proclaimed rag doll, Cristina has been a producer with SiriusXM for 13 years, with experience to share from her time on several talk shows across the platform, but most notably on the Jay Thomas Show. During this time, she has also produced various talk shows and podcasts, such as the Chip Chipperson Podacast, for which she produced comedian and host Jim Norton for several years, and EW Live under the brand of Entertainment Weekly. Cristina begrudgingly resides in Nazareth, PA for the next 8 years until her youngest graduates high school and is survived by her loving husband, John, her 2 bonus daughters, Addison and Samantha, and their dog, Marty.

Susan Sandler’s work as a director and writer spans both non-fiction and fiction, including the screenplay for the Golden Globe nominated Crossing Delancey (based on her original play) and the award winning Friends At Last starring Kathleen Turner and Sarah Paulson, as well as projects for Sony, Twentieth Century Studios, Disney, TNT, and Columbia. Most recently, she directed and produced the feature documentary Julia Scotti: Funny That Way. Shot over five years, the film follows the triumphant comeback of comedian Julia Scotti (seen headlining decades ago as Rick Scotti) as she comes out on America’s Got Talent, her children reconnect after a fifteen-year estrangement, and she makes her return to stand up comedy. Passport Magazine calls the film “an absolute celebration that challenges stereotypes, transphobia, and agism, while making the viewer laugh and fall in love with Scotti. It’s the perfect uplifting documentary that needs to be seen.”
Sandler’s work for the stage has been produced at major theatres across the country, and around the world. Along with Crossing Delancey, her plays include Under the Bed, The Renovation, The Moaner, If I Were A Train, The Find, and The Burial Society (produced for NPR’s Playing on Air.) She is a member of the Ensemble Studio Theatre and the Writers Guild of America. Sandler’s work is published by Smith and Kraus, Vintage Press, and Samuel French Publishers. She is on the faculty of NYU Tisch School of the Arts Kanbar Institute of Film & Television. Along with her teaching, she has passionately guided NYU’s Fusion Film Festival since its inception, celebrating the work of women behind the camera, and mentoring the next generation of innovators in film and new media.
