A verse by verse walk through Scripture with the aim of seeing the Bible and it’s characters as real people, and to present Jesus in his natural context of the entire text. My hope is to introduce you to the Jesus of the Bible, not one of our own making and imaginations. This by definition will challenge our presuppositions and force us to see past our upbringing, denominations, and good old fashioned opinions.
Genesis 1 - a discussion on how God created the world and how People and Trees are linked in a theme that runs throughout the Bible.
The transition of power begins, as Saul and Jonathan are killed in battle, and David mourns their deaths.
After more attempts on David’s life, he is forced to confront King Saul and ultimate decides to leave Israel and Judah to preserve the lives of his family and men.
