He’s back! In Distinct and Jovial Episode 53, Chat Stevie T re-joins Jerry and Dom for an episode that quite literally runs out of money but not out of laughter.
💬 What’s Inside?
🎬 The Vibe
A mix of travel stories, film talk, and nostalgia is all tied together with the signature Distinct & Jovial chaos you know and love. It’s fun, funny, and delightfully unpredictable.
Chapters
We’re back with another Distinct and Jovial episode; this time finishing off the Vanity Fair-style questions we started in Episode 50. And let’s just say… things got a little delirious.
💬 What’s Inside?
🌟 Plus…
Somehow, we ended up designing Star Wars ships out of food. Don’t ask how, just enjoy the ride.
🎧 The Vibe
Think old-school Distinct and Jovial energy: random tangents, questionable logic, lots of laughter and all fuelled by how tired (and slightly unhinged) we were while recording.
Chapters
For the second time, Distinct and Jovial went in person but for the first time with a live audience! Episode 51 was recorded overlooking the stunning backdrop of Croyde Bay in North Devon, complete with sea breeze, laughter, and a fair share of chaos.
💬 What’s Inside?
🌟 The Vibe
A mix of sunshine, sea air, and silliness; this episode is packed with big laughs, new voices, and the unique energy of recording together in person.
We made it to 50 episodes! In this special milestone episode of Distinct and Jovial, Jerry and Dom take a reflective (and slightly chaotic) journey through five years of podcasting. Inspired by Billie Eilish’s Vanity Fair interview style, this is our fifth year doing it. Same hosts, same questions, wildly different answers.

🎲 Blind Ranking Game
Whether you’ve been with us from episode 1 or just hopped on, thanks for being part of the ride. Here's to the next 50.
In this special episode of Distinct and Jovial, Jerry and Dom are joined by long-time friend and cricket connoisseur, Sean. What starts as a casual, new guest introduction, quickly turns into a series of jokes and puns. This is before we get onto the glory, the controversies, and the "how did we get here?" moments of cricket that Sean loves.
Whether you're a seasoned fan or cricket-curious, this episode hits for six. Of course we had to introduce as many puns into the description as possible. Also this is the first podcast with outtakes, so please enjoy them at the end of the episode.
In this special two-hander, Jerry steps up as solo host for the first time. It's just the two of us for a classic Distinct & Jovial catch-up. We dive deep into the world of DIY as Dom shares preparations for his new house, including the joys (and pains) of home ownership.
Then things take a sharp left turn into a blind car ranking challenge – we judge first, learn what we chose second. It's as chaotic as it sounds.
Also: what does the new pope have to do with any of this? We’re not entirely sure, but it made the cut.
This episode marks four years of the Distinct & Jovial Podcast! Thanks for listening! We’ve got big plans as we head into year five.
Episode 47 is just Dom and Jerry. It's a totally, back to basics, simple episode with tangents all over the place. In fact, this was the hardest episode to add chapters to ever while editing. We talk about Easter trading hours, F1, fun facts with Jerry, poignant questions, fashion, and generally just the state of the world.
It is absolutely NOT an episode to miss.
Episode 46 and Carey returns to join us, but this time on her own. We talk about so many different bits and pieces, including a movie quiz based on the opposite title, therapy sessions, all about working in a school, and general tomfoolery all the way. It's distinct and another jovial episode for everyone to enjoy.
Episode 45 with one of Dom's best friends, Steph. Steph is a teacher, who recently has dropped her hours. She talks about how #ofsted is the worst organisation known to man, the woes of teaching, and why parents can be the worst bit.
Blindly rates makes a return with some Harry Potter questions, Jerry's daughter comes up with the best insult ever, and Dom has a rant about board games. Distinct and Jovial is all here.
Episode forty four brings a Chat Stevie T take over. On this episode, we review 2024, set some goals for 2025 and what we would like to do, and then ask questions to the worlds greatest AI. Along the way, we remind ourselves of #hawktuah, #willywonka, and all the crazy things that have happened over the last year. It's a mad one!
Episode forty three brings back the legend himself, Hooper! We discuss all sorts of things, from AI, drones over America, holidays, car insurance, and the fact that he is having a baby soon! It was a very distinct and off-piste episode, and exceptionally enjoyable. We hope you love this one!
Episode forty two, and we don't really discuss in detail about Trump, but it is mentioned. What is important, is we have our very first guest on again, the wonderful Laura. She comes and talks to us about refusing to sign up to websites, toys from her childhood, and just generally being hilarious. Really enjoyed this one, and we hope that you do as well.
Episode forty one folks, and it's time to hear all about the Icelandic adventure that Dom went on. Jerry arranges a small pop quiz on the back of this. Otherwise, we have a few more Room 101 items, and a little bit about life and death.
This is it, the big one, the one you've all been waiting for. On the 40th episode of Distinct and Jovial, we have done an in-person podcast! Not only that, we are joined by the old skool krew. In this episode we introduce Ian into the conversation, discuss some poignant questions, including how to fold a fitted sheet, and play two games, including Box of Lies. This is a mad episode, and we hope you enjoy it.
Episode number thirty nine of the Distinct and Jovial podcast, and we have the source of Chat-GPT on, it is of course, chat Stevie T. On this episode we discuss: the Olympics, UFOs, sex, green flags, and Henry Cavill. Of course it's distinct and jovial.
Another whole year of podcasts, we revisited our Vanity Fair interview that we did on our fourteenth podcast and discussed all the same points that we put forward the year before. The podcast is getting exciting, and we are looking forward to all the projects we have coming up. We discuss some of these, and rant about the Royal Mail.
The wonderful Fiona joins us again on the Distinct and Jovial podcast. We discuss all of our past, and future holidays, with all of the antics that we got up to. Fiona discussed all of the learnings that she is taking from her apprenticeship, followed by some blindly rate, top 5, and interesting facts.
It's a 92 Plates take over, exactly a year from when he was on last time, as he goes over the history of the Distinct and Jovial podcast. Hooper tests Jerry and Dom's mental abilities in everything that has happened over the last three years, and finds out if we can remember all of our guests and details. Needless to say, we aren't very good, but much hilarity and reflection comes in this episode.
Swanny is back on the podcast for the third year in a row! If only he would stop having big changes in his life. This year he talks about what it is like becoming a dad and Jerry has found a new favourite food. Utter chaos as normal on the Distinct and Jovial Podcast.

As if last month wasn't manic enough, this month we have three guests on at the same time. Introducing, Tien, Carey, and Naaved, three of Jerry's friends from school. This is the most jovial podcast yet, with laughs galore as we discuss everything from Colin the Caterpillar cakes to cyclists who run red lights.
A manic month for us at Distinct and Jovial, as Dom goes into discussions over the operation he recently had. We then spend the rest of the time discussion the greatest movie scenes of all time.
In a true, Michael McIntyre Man Drawer style, the podcast is a hodgepodge of content this month. We welcome in the new year by giving a mysterious update, we go through our YouTube comments, we rate chocolate snacks blindly, and discuss the origins of the Distinct and Jovial podcast. We are prepared for that telephone call...
Episode thirty one of the Distinct and Jovial podcast, and we finally have the wonderful Samwise on the podcast. We have the infamous room 101, including Sunday trading hours, wedding mishaps, meal deals, and pizza toppings. We have solved the right way to put cream or jam first on scones. Poignant questions make a return discussing owls and penguins, the significance of sleeping habits and seating arrangements, and the definition of originality. Finally, we ask Samwise all about the process of becoming a German citizen. Jerry also dons the famous indoor sunglasses.
Episode thirty and we have a certified Dungeon Master and all around great bloke in "Pistol" Pete. He comes and gives his opinions on messing with food, quick fire poignant questions round, and teaches Dom how Dungeons and Dragons work. A true pleasure this episode was.
Episode twenty-nine, and it's the big one for Dom. Having successfully passed his 4th Degree Black Belt Grading, he discusses his next steps in his journey and his next plans competition and life wise. There is a massive rant in our biggest room 101 section ever.
Episode twenty-eight folks, and a real distinct one this month. We have Stevie T as a guest on our podcast who imparts us with some wonderful knowledge, showing us his pets, playing music, and discussing Brexit. Jerry hosts this for the first time, while Dom gets to sit back and relax.
A second episode sees the Distinct & Jovial podcast have the complete honour of hosting a guest from Ukraine. Yevhenii joins us again on the podcast to tell us again what it is like living in a country defending itself but we dive into a little around Ukraine culture and thoughts on several world events that have contributed to Russia's illegal invasion.

Another whole year of podcasts, we revisited our Vanity Fair interview that we did on our fourteenth podcast and discussed all the same points that we put forward the year before. For both of us, this has actually been an incredibly tough year so we spend time discussing what our next steps are and the journey we are going to go on with this podcast.
Episode twenty five brings another guest in Fiona, a wonderful ex co-worker of Jerry and mine who has a huge history and knowledge. So naturally, we discuss putting lipstick on pigs, a lot of food and drink, holidays, and many other tangents. Along with technical difficulties, this is another distinct and barmy episode.
We have James Hooper back on the podcast from 92 Plates for episode twenty four. This episode is complete chaos with some real deranged moments. We eventually settle down to do a Movie Review, discuss Star Wars, weddings, pizza bases, and eventually the implications of AI.
Episode twenty-three folks, and it's a complete mess of a podcast. We attempt to discuss many topics but, in the end, get a little bit too passionate about putting items in Room 101, our new segment, and the best bread to use for sandwiches. Interesting facts make a reappearance before we finish by discussing the removal of the verification tick from Twitter.
For episode twenty-two of the Distinct & Jovial podcast, we discuss the spooking conspiracy that The Simpsons is currently predicting the future that is to be. From Trump’s presidency to the COVID pandemic, we are thoroughly creeped out by these events that happen. To lighten the mood, we discuss pasta shapes and their taste, followed by the ridiculous idioms that said around the office. We finish with discussing the best nicknames in the office.
Episode twenty-one of the Distinct & Jovial podcast brings back Adam Swain, qualified PT and International Taekwon-Do Instructor, who is no longer running his own business. With the worlds finances as they are, we discuss why moving to a different job position, or not running your own business is ok. Normalising a 9-5. Jerry then quizzes us on our martial art opinions and thoughts, including on if sumo wrestling is the best or not?
The twentieth episode of the Distinct & Jovial podcast brings us back to the usual madness that we bring. We must own the technical difficulties and the problems that brings when recording a podcast over the internet. This is true evidence that we both need to be locked up in a mental asylum, with conversations on appreciation, technical difficulties, and conversations with AI.
Episode nineteen sees the Distinct & Jovial podcast have the complete honour of hosting a guest from Ukraine. Yevhenii joins us on the podcast to tell us his story of what happened on the 24th February, what it is like living in a country defending itself, and how to keep some normality during their terrible times. This was a real honour and privilege.

But don't worry, there is still plenty of joviality in this episode.
Our most famous guest on the Distinct and Jovial podcast yet. We have James from 92 Plates come and discuss all things food related. We had an absolute blast having him on for our first guest video podcast, with a really jovial episode.
After doing a whole year of podcasts, we revisited our Vanity Fair interview that we did on our second podcast and discussed all the same points that we put forward the year before. Due to technical difficulties, this has ended up being our most chaotic yet, but is just as jovial.

We discuss our favourite conspiracy theories, best food items of the month, and ways we have improved our health from the previous episodes. Finally, we discuss the recent flight cancellations and how to just generally right the world.
Our twelfth podcast episode to be celebrated where we made a whole year of podcasts. Thank you for all who have listened and watched. In this episode, we discuss all things social and alcohol while also looking at some distinct topics in the world. We give our opinions on the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp trial and the idea that Elon Musk is going to take over Twitter.
Our first video podcast where we have a battle between American and British snacks in a Snack Wars. Then we discuss other battles of items in a top trumps battle to the death between several different factions. It's distinct and it's jovial, but it also visual and reactive.
A special bonus episode of the Distinct & Jovial podcast brings the first topical discussions to our podcast and a challenge. We discuss the Will Smith and Chris Rock altercation, the death of the Foo Fighters' drummer, and the current invasion in Ukraine. There are some ridiculously distinct discussions while we are joined by Adam Swain, qualified PT and International Taekwon-Do Instructor. With all the hurt going on at the time of recording and release, we wanted to record more than ever to spread a little bit of cheer into the world.
