In case you didn't get enough out of our other podcasts, Post America Podcast, Broad Street Breakdown and This Is Hardcore Podcast... Here we are. Richie from Post America, OG Geoff from Broad Street and Joe from TIHC come together on the show and talk the way we do when we are hanging outside of a show or on the steps of the tattoo shop. From the music we are enjoying, to deeper discussions into the culture and the history of Hardcore, Punk and metal, to things going on around Social Media, mostly staying with in the frame of the music world and some of the politics that overlap into the subculture and the world at large. The Rule of Three is a way the three of us can connect on a show where we are just talking to our friends about the stuff that sometimes ends up on our own podcasts and alot that wouldn't fit into the shows as well.

Sorry for the very long break between episodes. The cobwebs were shaken off quickly as we dove into all things Trump and political on this season finale. It was fun to sit back and go back and forth over different current events and we are working hard to get the next season underway and keep a more regulated schedule going forward.

The Rule Of Three Episode Eleven
Man we are starting to get slower with these and we don't mean to. The drums of war are beating in Eastern Europe and Richie and Joe bum OG out by arguing about it. Somehow we talk about the Gettyburg Address and the Civil War. Joe is getting banned from Russian Baths in the Far Northeast of Philly.
Did they hide the pandemic with all this Ukraine? We give up on Putin and we talk Pam and Tommy, and why Tommy Lee is a sucker. Somehow we debate the offshoot mini genre's that come from Hardcore. We are all over the place on this one, its been a bit since we got back together. Joe openly threatens an uprising if BSB doesn't drop another episode and we finish on a happy note.

The Rule Of Three Episode Nine We tackle some of the hard charging topics of the day.... The sudden break up of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Trocadero Shows, Ska vs Doo Wop, Sylvester Stallone being a Total Mayfair dude, John Corabi,. Later we went down the rabbit hole of The Witcher, Star Trek. Somehow we got onto talking about hardcore bands all end up trying to be Alice In Chains and old tv shows like Little House of the Prairie. The Big talk was on the JRE vs Neil Young dilemma which got us on the Vax or No vax shit again. Later we said fuck death metal and Richie hates Anthrax. Rest In Peace Meatloaf!

Happy New Year! Number Eight coming out hot for you. We talk about Hi Vis, an excellent band from the UK, which lead to a quick discussion on Oasis which then lead down to Immortal Technique and Jedi Mind Tricks.
The First Official Stance of Rule Of Three has been made and we are against Covid and the pandemic. We start talking politics and then we go into movies, which leads Richie into running an impromptu game of asking The OG and Joe to guess the age of actors and other notable figures. We lightly discuss Wawa etiquette, coffee and regional hot dog stands and sodas. We end up discussing racial politics in the current hardcore scene.
This has been a fun one and we covered alot of ground. Hope you all enjoy it!

Lucky number seven. The fellas got together and talked about spotify wrapped and the numbers game involved in the music today. Went through some headlines and other stuff that came to mind. Ultimately had a really good time chatting it up and may have broken last episodes "longest RO3" record. With an idea of how to keep our episodes focused and moving, we discuss the recent hardcore shows in Los Angeles and Tompkins Square Park in NYC and how the internet reacted to the shows. We get into the who and the why of some of these reactions. This was fun to go back and forth on the varying points between the shows, and the things surrounding the reaction to them and how the world has changed due to social media and the way people act online vs speak in real life.
