A one-liner that Tim has shared when asked why "10 with Tim" his response is that 10 minutes is more than enough! The truth is that "10 with Tim" is produced and broadcast to be an encouragement and inspiration. Uniquely this show comes from Tim's travels and his interviews are sometimes planned and scheduled. All the other broadcasts come because of opportunity, passion and the value of motivation.

Run to Win, written by Donald T Phillips is a great book on the coaching and leadership style of Vince Lombardi. This 10 minute devotion focuses on the last months then days of his life.
On Monday nights the Bulldog Football Team normally gathers for a time of devotional encouragement, scripture and motivation as we each ponder our place in life and God’s Will for us and our talents.

Presently the Union College Football Team is being impacted by the effects of Covid19. Nothing that welcome but nevertheless something that we must face and work through.
Normally our team gathers for Monday night for devotionals and given we are in quarantine, this is my personal efforts to encourage our teams, coaches, staff, fans and families at large to press on.

Rodney Everett Buttermore, Sr., aged 98, passed away in Fort Worth, Texas, at home surrounded by his loved ones. Surviving are his son Rodney Buttermore, Jr. and his wife Julia, his three grandchildren Rhett Buttermore, Ross Buttermore and his wife Emily and Medley Sabadie and her husband Blake, four great-grandchildren, his brothers Tommy Buttermore and his wife Sharon, Dalton Buttermore, his sister Ruth Alice Pope and her husband Dan. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Margaret, his son Michael, his brothers Dr. Willard Buttermore and Harry King Buttermore, Jr. and his sister Mary Jean Loving.
Rodney was born on November 29, 1922 to Dr. Harry King and Nelle Katherine Buttermore at Liggett, Kentucky. In 1940 he graduated from Hall High School, then matriculated at Transylvania University from which he graduated in 1946 and where he became a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. During World War II, he served in the United States Army from 1943 to 1945 in France, Belgium and Germany, attaining the rank of Private First Class. On June 12, 1946 he was married to Margaret Spiegel of Birmingham, Alabama. They were united for 56 years until her death in 2002.
Rodney worked first in the family coal mining business, Elcomb Coal Company, then operated Rebel Coal Company and M & A Coal Company. Subsequently he became Mine Superintendent for Regional Coal Company and Terry Glen Coal Company before retiring in 1982.
Rodney was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Harlan. He was an avid player of golf and tennis as a member of the Harlan Country Club. He was also a member of the Harlan Lions’ Club, where he performed in many musical productions.
His life will be commemorated at a memorial service at Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, Kentucky at a date to be determined later.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Harlan, Kentucky or the Camp Blanton Trust, P.O. Box 931, Harlan, Kentucky 40831.
Jesus was always trying to get folks to understand what faith was and how faith worked. So folks without much education on the subject got the meaning quickly. Others struggled to believe at all. This message is about the discovery of faith. Faith is also an amazing grace once we see it and understand it.
Peter reacted when Jesus said don't be afraid it's me on the Sea of Galilee. His impulse was to join Jesus and he did. Because Peter exercised his faith is life would never be the same

In the mountains of Southeastern Kentucky there is this special place that everyone knows as Hazard & Perry County. The name identifies the City of Hazard and Perry as the County in Kentucky.
Kendall Noble grew-up in Hazard & Perry County attending high school at Perry Central where she was a stand-out athlete on the girls basketball team. She made a big transition in life from high school basketball to Women's Division I College Basketball in the NCAA by attending and playing basketball at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Ky.
As a member of the starting five she is making a big impact on the floor as an athlete and off the floor as an academic student studying biology. She wants to be a medical doctor and I am convinced she will accomplish that goal too.
I saw three guys walking on a mountain top at a 4-wheeling event. They looked interesting. They seemed to enjoy the company they were keeping. It was a crazy hello and the beginning of a friendship.

From 1999-2002 Nate Zettler compiled impressive numbers and still holds 10 program records, including most career wins (27), most games started (45), most games completed (28), and most innings pitched (286.0). Nate's best season came in 2001 when he rocked a 9-2 record with a 2.37 earned-run average. The Bulldogs won a then program best 41 games. He followed that with another 9-2 record including a career high 77 batters struck out. Nate was the first player in Bulldog history to make his mark professionally as he was picked by the Kansas City Royals first year player draft.
