The power of pressure to be better than others. Even has a term, "Keeping up with the Jones's". Easy to get caught up in this way-of-life... but it's not the healthiest. Much nicer to see things from the point of just you. Are my needs being met? Am I happy with my home, family, friends? And if not, how can I become happy with it, without the need to be better than others.
Features thoughts on the subject. Personal experiences, and an article from Country Living about a young woman who admired being poor when young. The reason is rarely thought of, but makes all the sense in the world.

All about stress. The understanding of how fate's go you covered. And methods to make handling the stress so easy.
The specifics behind health around the mental chatter we all live with. Starting with an analogy, seeing the out-of-control chatter as waves on top of a calm ocean (that the waters under the surface are always calm). It’s Silence and Acceptance. Nate gets deep on the reasons for building these habits, and the superpowers it’ll give you in a low attention society. Final thoughts about the draw of polarizing videos and news.

From Nate, “And lastly, I’m stepping back from the podcasts. Doesn’t feel fully right in this moment. I’m in love with the idea of Powerfully Calm and will continue it though regular written blogs (www.powerfullycalm.com) and Daily Quotes on Twitter (https://twitter.com/powerfullycalm*).

A robust topic starting with the idea of non-striving. Being able to take that leap of faith into what you’re meant to be doing, instead of fighting Karma and a hostile world for a career you don’t love. Comes back to following your excitement. The field, service or job that gets you excited to wake up in the morning and do. This is what leads you to being a master.
Changing your viewpoint, seeing productivity for what it is. Not being forced to sit in an office chair for 8 hours a day, pretending to be busy when in truth your work was done an hour ago, and you’ve been playing Solitaire since. It’s knowing what’s the next step to get you to being a master in what you’ve been put on this world to do.
And a change of view on the idea of being poor. Something more accepted these days under the term of “Minimalist”. Basically, owning less stuff, making your cost-of-living lower than what you make financially. Because we need to accept this is a monetary-based world, so why not work with it.
Poor isn’t what it used to be. Technology constantly improving our lifestyles for very little investment. The poor of today living better than the rich in history, and this will continue to improve.
Being grateful for what you have, even if it’s not ideal in comparison to what some people call “being rich”. And knowing the endgame (your ideal mastery) giving you confidence on what needs to be done, and what type of person is best to share in it with you.

*“In your actions, don’t procrastinate.
In your conversations, don’t confuse.
In your thoughts, don’t wander.
In your soul, don’t be passive or aggressive.
In your life, don’t be all about business.”*
Marcus Aurelius
This week’s quote talk covers all the bases which Marcus applied to life. Each angle making for a filled up show with thoughts and methods, coming from the words of one of Earth’s most famous Stoics.
For most, the worst emotion you can feel. Nate shares his disagreement with the “pros”, saying we’re prisoners to our pasts. Pales to the power of acceptance. Also, how anger is needed to be in this current society. Methods around acceptance and how to build the habit. And Final Thoughts on the ‘hugging your enemy’ method.
Flow over Force. A wonderful way to live is promoting peace over chaos in life. What causes the chaos? Forcing ourselves into the life (we think) we want. But maybe life already has the right plan for us! If we only settled back and allowed spiritual guidance to take the wheel. This is the talk… with deep dives into the power of gratitude in bad moments, and of course… Karma.
We all have voices in our head. Sounds really crazy, but it’s not. It’s a primitive reminder of humanity’s violent past. Nate’s not sure why we needed it, but gives his opinion on it. Seeing the voice as a cute little kid who has lots of tantrums. And the natural guidance in life which comes through loud-and-clear with the calming of this Ego-filled voice.
The importance of mastery through excitement. The show is about finding what you’re best at… namely, the career you’re meant for. Using the feeling of excitement as a guide through each step, creating the thing you’ll become a master at. Most eccentric and weird, the better. With the difference between being successful and being blissfully comfortable. Final Thought is: the real reason for teachers.
The techniques to remove nervous energy from a conversation. Joys coming from deep, spaced and calm interactions. Learning from stories. Allowing guidance from above to sink in to thought. Not knowing where the moment will take you without force or intervention. Instead, letting fate guide the moment to it's needed conclusion. Bliss! And, getting out of talks wasting your life.
The cornerstone of stoicism. The best habit to gain. Spending stress on the action of others, for which you have zero control. It's insanity, especially in today's polarized and chaotic world.
How victimhood is wasted effort. Putting anger and stress on yourself against something/someone, where in most cases the object of your ire doesn't know or care. Force given out that will return.
This episode all about only controlling yourself and your reality.
Warning: This episode features a dark subject for most. Only listen if you're able to handle the thoughts that will occur.
This "life experience" will comet to an end. Anyone who's lost someone knows the feelings that come with acceptance of death. And the natural reactions that come with it. Death is a part of life; there is no life without it. However, if you believe this as an experience. Just a massive stepping stone for an immortal spirit moving through different lives... then death ain't such a bad thought.
In this episode, Nate discusses OBEs, and the not-so-flaky belief about energy packs. And bringing spiritual wisdom with you.
Visualizing the worst-case scenario takes away surprise. By understanding the occurrence before it happens, you take away the sting. But how to avoid creating the scenario (or manifestation). Nate goes into his belief in the "Law of Attraction" (with some slight changes). The factor of emotion, and the power of feeling Love. How the worst moments in life were only stepping stones. Negative visualization being a method to lighten the sting.
Displaying good character and doing good works. Good works is all around your passion in life. And passion leads to mastery, which leads to comfort in business. The difference between competition seeking passion, and others only seeking money or fame. Methods learned on how to accept the worst of competition, to push away fear and anger, replacing it with silence to allow guidance to come through. Finally, feeling love for your competitor as a way of true acceptance.
Where I started. The idea behind being Powerfully Calm. Being an immortal energy, while experiencing the natural bliss of life. The combo of Mindful and Stoic principals which resonate with my life experience. Through the best way to communicate... a Podcast.
Feeling into your pain, physical or emotional. Shining the light of focus. Calming the worst of it with no added anger or stress. So much more hits the body and mind from the stress. Thinking of all the ways things could get worse. Thinking you’ll never feel the energy of that loved one again. All misunderstood versions of loss and pain. Nate jumps into dealing with the whole of pain.
