The Blending Corner is a podcast geared for early elementary educators that are thinking about implementing blended learning in their classroom. Created initially as a capstone project for our Masters in Learning, Design, and Technology, The Blending Corner provides the latest research on the best practices, helpful tools, things to look out for, and hot topics when it comes to blended learning. In this episode we have a new updated format with interviews with an educator! We look at the station rotation model inside an early elementary classroom. We talk about the basic stations you should have inside this model as well as important things to consider when getting started. Finally we interview our administrator on his thoughts about the implementation of blended learning.
For episode 4 we will be looking at the uses of blended learning in a K-2 classroom and how you might begin to implement it in your classroom. We look at why picking the right LMS is important, how you can increase engagement, and how to utilize data inside your blended learning.
In this episode we look at the benefits and drawbacks of blended learning and give our thoughts on why we believe utilizing blended learning is an overall benefit to the classroom. We also talk about things to think about when implementing blended learning for the first time.
For our second episode we dive into the different models of blended learning and in what settings they might be used in. We also pick which model of blended learning that we think works best in an early elementary setting.
