In this episode: Why does so much business automation feel icky, and how do you do it differently? Which tasks should you actually automate, and which ones should you never hand off?

There's a moment in every business when you realise the way you've been working can't keep working. The harder you push, the smaller the world around you gets. The more you "scale," the less you actually live.

This week on The Flow Lane, I'm sitting down with Abigail Brown, a serial founder who has built and exited three values-led businesses, including the plant-based superfoods brand Sari Foods and the organic childrenswear label The Simple Folk. Today, alongside her sister-in-law Amy Wilson, Abi co-runs Rebrandr, where they're quietly pioneering what they call the Slow Business Model. Last year, that approach grew their revenue by 181%, and they did it while staying present, healthy, and very much in their own lives.

What I love about this conversation is how honest it is. We talk about the part of scaling nobody likes to admit, that the founders who reach the next level aren't the ones working the hardest, they're the ones who finally let go of doing it all themselves. We talk about why systems are the unsexy thing that actually creates freedom, and why most of us avoid them anyway. We talk about scaling without losing yourself, your team, or the soul of what you built.

If you've been quietly burning out trying to grow your business, this is the conversation I want you to hear. It's a reminder that there is another way, and that the women living it are already among us.

You can find Abi at rebrandr.co.uk or on Instagram at @rebrandr.creative.studio, and listen to her podcast The Slow Circle wherever you get your shows.

The best wellness practitioners are often the worst marketers. And it's costing them.

If you're a breathwork facilitator, chiropractor, nutritionist, somatic practitioner, yoga teacher, or any kind of wellness pro watching less-skilled people fill rooms and charge premium prices while you struggle to enrol clients, this episode is for you. The work isn't the problem. The way you're packaging and articulating it is.

In this episode, Emma breaks down why depth doesn't sell itself, the positioning shift that turns your craft into a scalable offer, and how to build visibility and collaboration strategies that don't require you to hustle on social media all day. Plus, why your energy is part of your marketing whether you realise it or not.

In this episode:

  • Why the most skilled practitioners get out earned by louder, shallower marketers

  • Selling desires and outcomes instead of modalities and sessions

  • How to package your work into offers that scale beyond 1:1

  • Visibility and collaboration strategies that don't require constant hustle

  • Why your energy IS your marketing (and how to use that)

📩 SPECIAL LISTENER OFFER: DM Emma the word "POSITIONED" on Instagram (@emmamaidment_) and she'll personally send you her initial thoughts on your positioning. No funnel, no form, just real feedback on how to articulate what you do so the right people pay for it.

Can you actually build a business and be a present mother, or is something always slipping? In this episode of The Flow Lane, Emma Maidment shares her honest, unfiltered journey of doing both. Not the highlight reel. The real version: the guilt, the recalibration, the seasons that didn't look the way she thought they would, and the framework that finally let her stop choosing.

This is for the woman who is tired of being told she can have it all, and wants to know what it actually looks like to live it on her own terms.

In this episode:

  • Why Emma stopped trying to "balance" motherhood and business and started integrating them instead

  • The both/and mindset shift that changed how she structures her week, her offers, and her energy

  • An honest look at guilt, the mental load, and the boundaries she had to build (and rebuild)

  • What she wishes she knew before becoming a mother in business

  • How she's redefined success now that small humans are part of the equation

Should you pay for PR placement, or is there a smarter way to build credibility and visibility in your business?

Emma had a client recently come to her with a story. A friend was about to spend $8,000 on a magazine feature, hoping that somehow, somewhere, the right person would see it and it would translate into business. No strategy, no distribution plan, just hope. And it got Emma thinking about how often entrepreneurs buy into paid PR for all the wrong reasons.

In this episode, Emma draws on her background in public relations to break down the real difference between paid placements and earned media, and why one of them tends to build trust in a way the other simply can't. She shares her honest bias (she has never paid for a placement herself), while also being clear that paid PR is not inherently a scam. It has a place, but only if it's built into a bigger system.

You'll walk away with a five-part decision framework to run every PR opportunity through before you spend a cent, whether that's a magazine feature, a paid podcast slot, or a sponsored editorial. You'll also learn why the feature itself is never the ROI, and why the distribution that happens afterwards is where your investment actually pays off.

You'll learn:

The real energetic and strategic difference between paid placement and earned media, and why each one serves a different purpose in your business

The five filters to run every paid opportunity through, covering audience alignment, outcome clarity, distribution, opportunity cost, and integrity

Why most entrepreneurs are buying PR for validation, certainty, or avoidance, and how to spot it in yourself before you spend

How to become genuinely press-worthy, including the simple Google Alerts hack Emma uses to land earned features on repeat

The exact assets you need before you pitch yourself anywhere, and why making a journalist's job easy is the most underrated PR strategy there is

Whether you're sitting on an opportunity you're not sure about, or you're ready to step into more visibility without outsourcing your credibility, this episode will give you the clarity to know exactly what to do next.

Have you ever dropped your price because a lead went quiet? Or watched someone with less experience charge significantly more than you and actually get it? That moment of confusion is worth paying attention to, because the gap between what you charge and what you could charge is rarely about your skills. It's almost always about positioning.

In this episode, Emma breaks down why brand positioning is the invisible force setting your price before you even open your mouth. She explores what it really means to know where your brand sits in the market, why the signals your business sends create a perception of trust long before any sales conversation, and why the coaches who charge premium prices aren't necessarily better than you. They're just positioned differently.

Emma also gets into something that doesn't get talked about enough in the personal branding space: the difference between performing a position and actually embodying one. Because the goal was never to fake it until you make it. It was always to build something so genuinely yours that the right clients feel it before they can even explain why they trust you.

You'll learn:

  • Why undercharging is almost always a positioning problem, not a confidence problem
  • What it means to understand where your brand sits in your market and what that communicates to potential clients
  • How to move from performing your brand to genuinely embodying it, and why that shift changes everything

If this episode sparked something for you, Emma would love to hear where you feel your brand is positioned right now. Come find her on Instagram at @emmamaidment_ and continue the conversation there.

If your personal brand feels like a costume you have to keep putting on - this one's for you.

So many female entrepreneurs have a brand that looks the part but quietly feels off. The content feels exhausting to create. The clients it attracts aren't quite right. And somewhere underneath it all, there's a nagging sense that you're performing a version of yourself rather than actually being seen.

In this episode, Emma breaks down exactly why this happens and more importantly, how to fix it.

You'll learn the difference between a brand built on what you think you should be versus one built from genuine alignment, the 3 pillars that make a personal brand magnetic rather than just visible, and how to identify your own brand frequency - the energy you transmit before you even say a word.

This is the episode that will make you rethink everything you've been told about personal branding.

If you're scaling your business but running on empty, this episode is going to hit home.

Hustle culture sells a promise - push harder, rest later. But for high-achieving female entrepreneurs, that promise is quietly breaking the very business you're working so hard to build.

In this episode, Emma shares her own burnout story, unpacks the hidden costs of the grind that nobody talks about, and introduces what it actually means to work in flow, where alignment becomes your strategy, not just your aspiration.

This one will change how you think about success.

In this episode:

  • Why the "grind now, rest later" mentality is a lie scaling founders can't afford to believe
  • The hidden costs of hustle culture - from decision fatigue to energetic marketing
  • What working in flow actually means (and why it's a business model, not a buzzword)

The one question to sit with this week: "Is my business giving me energy - or living on my energy?"

AI doesn't have to mean more pressure, more tools, or a business that sounds nothing like you.

In this episode, Emma sits down with Tyson to cut through the noise around AI and get grounded on what it actually looks like to use it well - as a thinking partner, a capacity tool, and a support system that works for your energy, not against it.

What they cover:

→ The mindset shift that changes everything: AI as capacity, not productivity theatre

→ The 3 most valuable AI use cases for coaches and service providers

→ How to stop AI from draining your brand voice (and keep it distinctly you)

→ Where AI should never be used - a grounded ethics conversation

→ A simple 10-minute setup to start using AI with ease this week If AI has been making you feel behind or overwhelmed, this episode resets the frame and gives you one simple workflow to start from.

Let me say something that might make some people uncomfortable.

By 2026, information will be worthless.

Not because it is bad. But because it is everywhere.

AI can now generate frameworks, captions, business plans, funnels, scripts, emails, and entire brand strategies in seconds. The barrier to creating content has collapsed.

So if your personal brand or business is built purely on what you know, you are about to feel invisible.

Because knowledge is no longer scarce. Humanity is.

And that is what this podcast episode dives into...

Tully shares wisdom on:

  • Redefining masculinity beyond the provider role

The Shift That Changed How I Sell (and Why You’re Leaving Money & Impact on the Table)

Do you avoid selling because you’re scared of sounding pushy or 'too salesy'? You’re not alone and it’s costing you money, clients, and impact.

In this episode, I share the exact mindset shift that changed everything for me: selling isn’t about convincing, it’s about serving. When you learn how to sell authentically, you stop leaving opportunities on the table and start creating the freedom-based business you really want.

You’ll learn my simple 3-step framework for selling with ease:
1️⃣ Detach from the outcome (no more needy energy).
2️⃣ Focus on the transformation, not the transaction.
3️⃣ Make it about them, not you.

If you’re ready to attract aligned clients, grow your income, and finally feel confident selling your offers - this episode will show you how to sell without being salesy, and why shifting your mindset around sales is the key to scaling your business and impact.

When you're ready to create your own personal strategy and grow your business, join me for a soulful strategy session.

Let’s be real - building a successful business while raising a family isn’t about “doing it all.”

It’s about creating rhythms, rituals, and systems that align with your energy, capacity, and priorities, not hustle culture.

In this episode, I’m sharing the 3 rituals that help me run a 6-figure business while being a present parent (and still having space for me):

  • The sacred 90-minute power window I swear by
  • My end-of-week CEO check-in ritual that keeps me focused (and sane)
  • A simple but powerful nighttime brain-dump & planning practice based on my energy and my family’s schedule

These rituals help me stay in flow, avoid burnout, and keep growing - without sacrificing what matters most.

This episode is for every mama, multi-tasker, and freedom-seeker who wants structure without pressure, success without burnout, and systems that actually feel good.

Want to see the backend systems I use to stay organized and automate my biz while I’m off the clock?

📥 DM me Invisible Team on Instagram and I’ll send you a sneak peek inside Flow OS - my done-for-you business system.

In this episode, I sit down with the incredible Sarah Jane Cairo, founder of Spinal Energetics, for a powerful conversation that goes far beyond the modality itself.

We explore the real behind-the-scenes of building a global brand: from growing a team and scaling a vision, to navigating visibility and the emotional toll of becoming the face of a movement.

Sarah opens up about the personal cost of rapid growth, the systems and structures that support sustainable success, and what it really means to lead a business rooted in purpose. We also dive into the tension between building a personal brand vs. a company brand, and how she’s handled criticism, public attention, and staying true to her values along the way.

This is an honest, inspiring, and deeply human look at what it actually takes to grow something world-changing and still stay grounded in who you are.

Ever held back from sharing your story because you were afraid of what people might say? I get it.

Years ago, I wrote a deeply personal article about how I healed my acne and PCO naturally. I never expected it to go viral—let alone be translated into 8 languages. But what came next was an unexpected lesson in visibility… and the brutal reality of the internet.

The comment section? BRUTAL.
The DMs? Life-changing.

In this episode, I dive into:
✨ How my story spread worldwide (and what happened next)
✨ The real price of visibility—the good AND the ugly
✨ Why the fear of judgment holds so many people back
✨ The unexpected impact of sharing your story (even when it feels scary)
✨ How to confidently show up online—without letting the haters get to you

If you’ve ever second-guessed whether your voice matters—this one’s for you.

PS. if you want to see the before and after photos I mention in this episode you an find the original article here.
