Holmes built the "castle" to lure unsuspecting Fair goers to their deaths in order to sell their skeletons to medical schools, others would say that he built it so he could collect insurance money, and some believe it to be nothing but an elaborate tale in order to sell newspapers. Either way, Holmes left quite the legacy and possibly a couple of spirits as well.
