S.3 Ep 16 Aboriginal Youth by Suicide. is 3x’s higher & higher still compared to male ratio for females. A RS shared a few words of concern about her pregnant 24 yr old with suicide. A perspective on Youth n depression especially when doing their formal education to returning home, after being away for 2 yrs.
A difficult episode as I’ve witnessed my youngest and all the youth of worked with. Idealism is shot down for a variety of issues & There’s no one to help hold them up with their health, mental health or to remain grounded from Colonialism wreaks havoc on their mindset.
S 3, Ep 14 - This is heart wrenching as nothing has changed when statistics prove neither the federal/ provincial government has done nothing except alienate our children. I share my personal aunt story of fostering held no value to The Ministry, ironically, none of that has changed in 25 years.

As a young girl we look to our parents for guidance in love & relationships, as we search as we become adults. My work w. Youth of 35+ yrs takes me to advocate when I witness some similar from the youth and family’s in my work. Just experience of a past life shared, just that.
Post-Stroke, at home it takes much longer to do the simplest errands requiring help, as a Solo-mom & stroke survivor to ask for help is so difficult to do.
It’s not positivity of moments, but it’s just a moment of difficulty not a bad day upon reflection. The Creator only gives what we are able to handle I reflect on a few moments….
Learning to accept my personal accomplishments are now different than w. 2 arms/hands/legs were … The realization Is huge as I accept this, at home w/o my sons at home
After 10 in the hospital, is learning to accept assistance at home. I’m learning to get support from my friends- gardening and cleaning

It’s been almost 30 yrs of my work in schools, a speciality in seeing The Unseen. Yet, having grown up in a vast number of elementary schools, I was seen.
For me, it’s hunger, for others, it’s lateral violence. And yet, for others it’s victims of violence… Silent Suffering is very real.
