Bible Hour is an adult class that looks at various topics from Church History to Systematic Theology.
For our final Bible Hour of the year we will see how we ended up with the 66 books of the Bible. We well also examine the reasons why we have different manuscripts. Lastly we will do some practical textual criticism so that one can see the process.
For the last two Bible Hour’s of the year we will be looking at some common objections to the credibility of the Bible. This will include claims of contradiction, how we got the Bible in the form that we have it and the variant readings.
With the many different cultures and types of weddings in our midst, how can we we ensure that we celebrate with each other appropriately? This Bible Hour we will discuss weddings, lobola and culture.

In this final instalment of our living as pilgrims study, we will consider the example of Naaman and his Rimmon worshipping master. From this we will glean final principles on how to deal with Gender Dysphoria, homosexual “marriages,” and other areas where we must interact with the world in its sin.

Jesus taught more on hell than he did on heaven. This does not make hell more important, but it does imply that what a Christian believes about it matters. In this class we ask this most conclusive question: What are the Implications of the NT Doctrine of Eternal Punishment?
Other than Jesus, no NT writer furnishes clearer and image-rich descriptions of the nature, purpose and duration of eternal punishment than John the apostle.22 In the Revelation of John, he prophetically describes a horrible end for God’s enemies. Although this prophetic book is notoriously difficult to interpret due to its apocalyptic nature, nevertheless it is relatively straightforward to deduce its intended message with regard to eternal punishment.
Having seen that Jesus taught that eternal punishment is real, dreadful and everlasting in both effect and experience, our attention now turns to Jesus’ disciples’ teaching on the subject. Paul, a major foundational figure of NT teaching, does not explain the nature of eternal punishment in as much detail as Jesus does. Instead of this, Paul – ministering to gentiles – clarifies more than any other NT writer the reasons for eternal punishment and explains the culpability of those condemned in greater detail.
