Mentally in Pajama's: Recent Episodes

Eve Fox

A journey of growing up with mental illness. I came up with the name "Mentally in Pajama's" because I literally lived in pajama's for 2 years in my bedroom. Now after many years I decided to free myself from the stigma of shame and share my story and to hear from others like myself. This is a JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE for people who suffer from depression, anxiety, isolation, suicide attempts, addiction, or know other's who do suffer with mental illness. We NO LONGER have to suffer alone and in silence. It's an Illness not our STORY!

You’ve heard me talk about Teddy, he’s one of the main people during my journey and has played an intricate part of my life.  In fact Teddy is still around and will be around until the day one of us dies.  That said, be careful about what you do in your youth because it could and can follow you a lifetime.

I decided to make some changes for 2022. I want engagement and for everyone you to get something out the podcast. However I want to add laughter everything doesn't have to be so serious. We're some of the funniest people and have the best sense of humor. NOT ALL! But OMG look at the comedians, some of the best. This is a serious task I’ve taken on "stopping the shame and stigma of mental illness".  I’m going to give it my all but I need your support. I don't mean financial, I need you to listen to the podcast, join FB Group, following me on social media, and subscribing to my free monthly newsletter. The more listeners and followers the more POWER we have to make changes. #amentalmovement

The way I learned to maneuver life was and is by not letting people get close to me.  I only deal with people who are necessary.  It's not a personal thing, it's a survival mechanism.

Overcoming the stigma!  I often use the metaphor “many layers to an onion” or “the peeling of an onion”.  We all have multiple layers and with each layer we discover something new about ourselves, be it good or bad.  This episode I get into my layer of acceptance.
