Misola Adeyemo

Welcome to the show-up club podcast. I’m Misola and just like you, I’m on a journey to creating more freedom of my time and never have to worry about money or paying the bills again, and at the same time create impact and fulfil my purpose on this earth.

I am the founder of the show-up club, a wife, a mum, and a business strategist. In the podcast, we will share top strategies that help you show up consistently and take aligned actions to help you make your first six figures.

After 5+ plus years of starting and running multiple businesses, I learned one important fact from my failures. This is that mindset and strategy alone are not enough to build a profitable business. I help service-based entrepreneurs take their business to the next level by CONSISTENTLY showing up and taking action.

I was operating my business from a place of struggle. I struggled to clarify my message, get clients on calls, and even make a sale. Why? I wasn’t consistent with my message, I was constantly changing strategies.

Nothing changed until I applied my 60-day method in my business and everything g changed for the better. Clarity came, sales were made, growth happened, and is still happening.

Now, we are on our way to six figures and beyond. Are you in? Should we do this together?

Content is king! Content is everything.

And when you start creating content, you realise that it can be exhausting, time consuming and energy draining.

Stop overthinking content creation

How can you clarify your message with your content?

The idea is to figure out how you can best articulate your message and sell your offers. So you’ve got to be strategic about the type of content you put out.

Here are three things you need to make sure that it’s a success.

  1. You have to consistently show up!

  2. You have to be prepared.

  3. Do what works and have fun while you’re at it.

It’s possible to clarify your message by staying true to yourself and being who you are.

I recorded this episode over two months ago because my baby is well over six months old now.

But I thought I’d share this episode as I move on from sharing the BTS to now sharing more valuable and niche specific content.

Here are some key points that was discussed in this episode.

How to stay consistent with content creation.

As an entrepreneur it is very important to work in your mindset so you don’t project your limiting beliefs on your audience.

Update on the frequency of uploading content going forward.

Consistency is the order of the game and it starts with your content. I showed up consistently on Instagram for 30 days in March. Update will be shared in the next episode.

You cannot be consistent if you don’t prepare well ahead of time

Your marketing strategy is what’s going to get you in front of your people, your audience your ideal clients

Before you even talk about using ads or having a freebie, (some might even argue with you that these are not marketing strategies, they are sales strategies but I leave that to you), let’s go right back to the beginning, the foundation

  • have a solid foundation. This starts with a clear message. For you to know your message clearly you would have a deep understanding of who you are and what you want your business and lifestyle to look like.

You would also understand your audience really well. This means that you understand where they are, what problems they are facing, and where they want to be.

For example, if I come to you and say let’s start a blog or a YouTube channel because it’s a great way to grow an audience and get more clients.

You get to make a decision on this based on the fact that you understand your message, you understand your assignment.

Are your clients there?

Is this something that suits your lifestyle? Is a podcast better for you or both?

We are not questioning whether YouTube works or podcasting or whether TikTok works or not.

They all work!

What you want is on the other side of consistency

Yes, consistency is key to your success and mastery comes by consistently doing one thing for a certain period of time.

It’s all well and good, but there is a caveat to this. There might be multiple actually, but today, we will be covering three scenarios where you have to stop and re-evaluate your situation

You cannot continue doing the same thing and expect a different result.

At some point, it would be in your best interest to stop everything, go back to the drawing board or square one and figure out what needs to change, what needs to continue, and what needs to be dropped!

What are these three scenarios?

  1. Consistently do the wrong thing. Yes, you might get it or will get it right eventually, but at what cost? Find a coach or a strategist. Pay the money and shorten the learning curve.
  2. When your gut tells you that it’s time to pivot, it’s time. Ie what you’re doing does not align with you or your lifestyle dot your values. You don’t have to wait six months. The repercussion is that you are out of alignment, you are not walking in your God-ordained path.
  3. Strategically, give it six months. If it does not work, then please pivot. You cannot continue doing the same thing and expect a different result!

Today was a good good day

In this episode I spoke about the decision to postpone my launch date, the power of community, going back to corporate consulting and posting consistently on Instagram.

I also spoke briefly on how to ensure that your offer is irresistible and deliver value and impact while creating wealth for yourself.

Of course, I spoke about it from my perspective and how I was able to get it done, but please understand that the lesson in that segment is for you to understand how to communicate your offer effectively and articulately

Being an entrepreneur and showing up consistently is not all fun and games.

There are days when you cannot see the light and there are days when they can’t tell you nofin!

In today’s episode, I started the first of many where I will be documenting an audio diary of the behind-the-scenes (BTS) of me as I take my business to the 7-figure mark.

I set a goal for two years, but who’s counting?

What a great way to start this docu-series because today wasn’t a glamorous one, but it was a great day nonetheless

What do you want 90 days, six months, or even 12 months from today?

Let today be day 0 and then consistently show up from day 1.

Now how do you plan to stay consistent because a strategy without implementation is pointless?

We outlined a few ways you can stay consistent below:

  1. stay productive. What is your high-performance plan? It could even be as simple as making sure you get your 8 hours sleep because sleep is so important you know?

  2. Take aligned action and create a strategy that works for you, your lifestyle, and your audience. This is where authenticity comes in. For Eg can you realistically create a mini-course or a pdf? Yes, it’s better but are you in that position? Will your audience be okay with a pdf too?

  3. Make a decision today that you do more of the planning and even more of the showing up and implementing

  4. You should always be profitable whatever the goal is. It is a morale booster and it works like a charm any day anytime. So if you want to launch a course in 90 or 180 days, how can you be profitable while you do that work? Making money is a morale booster, it also validates your work i.e. proves that you’re on the right path

  5. Surround yourself with the right community that will keep you accountable

  6. Lastly, this is something I like to do for fun and how I stay accountable. I decide on my reward, how I’m going to treat myself at the end of that time frame after I have achieved my goal.

Even if I don’t fully achieve that goal, I will still reward myself for showing up and staying consistent

When you fill up your plate with so much tasks, it results in overwhelm and affects consistency.

Three ways you can get over overwhelm is:

  3. Prepare well ahead of time

We are approaching that time of the year when it’s time to think, reflect, and set goals for the New Year.

This episode talks about why you cannot afford to wait till January before you start executing.

I also put into perspective how subjective showing up is, so you can figure out what you need to do to get started!

First of all, is your message clear enough? I’d definitely start from there and recommend that you get started with my shine you light workshop.

When your message is wrong, you attract the wrong audience and in turn, you are leaving money on the table.

In this episode, I highlighted three steps to clarify your message. They include:

  1. Know who you are and what you want
  2. Know your audience
  3. Know what they want

This is the first step and once you know all these three, you consistently show up and communicate with them.

Your message gets clearer the more you interact with your audience.

A clear message is the first step of a solid foundation and you can get started today by signing up for the shine your light workshop: https://misolaadeyemo.com/sylorder

Are you trying to show up consistently and wondering why you feel so much resistance?

Well, it might just be that you are not taking aligned actions.

Why do you need to start taking aligned actions?

It is part of your consistency strategy.

Does your strategy align with your values?

Does your strategy align with your lifestyle?

Do you have clarity regarding that plan?

How do you take aligned action

  1. Trust yourself!
  2. If you simply do not know what strategy to implement, hire a strategist.
  3. It really does help for you to take the time to understand who you are, and what you really want. Forget about the money when doing this exercise.

Welcome to The Show Up Club Podcast.

This first episode is all about defining what the next level is for entrepreneurs. I also told you a short story about me, so you have an idea of who Misola is.

The next level is unique to every individual because we are all at different phases of our lives and businesses.

There are five different phases in your entrepreneurial journey and they are:

  1. Starter: the very first step is to do the mindset work and believe in yourself. Sounds simple? This is the most important step and is very often overlooked.
  2. Architect: what’s the point of building a house without a plan. What’s the point of starting a business without a strategy? Failing to plan is planning to fail. At this stage, you create a solid foundation for your business. I taught this extensively in my Shine Your Light workshop and you can sign up with this link: https://misolaadeyemo.com/
  3. Builder: this is when you start taking action and extensively execute your marketing strategy. It’s about consistently showing up, building your list, and expanding your network
  4. Tester: For every time you launch or create a new offer and get people to enrol, you are testing. The goal is to keep testing (launching) until you have validated your offer. And then, it is time to:
  5. Scale: This is time to scale, automate as much as possible, simplify your processes, hire your first or a new team member, and reach a larger audience, etc

For every phase, it is consistency that will make you see growth and progress. So for every stage, you need to figure out what your action steps are and then show up consistently by executing those steps
