What does one do when they are at the cross roads between a cute lil flirt and the rest of their day? I don't know about y'all, but I turn into a nervous flubbering mess (Ha!) Let's get into the vulnerability of being a fierce, single, black woman in NYC, who loves Jesus, and is a brilliantly great catch. Woop woop! Let's get it.

This year we will be exploring the treasures of redemption (Ephesians 1:7) that we have as joint heirs with Christ. The Petite Retreat has gone by many names including the "Dream Planning Party'' by Horacio Printing and the "Golden Sisterhood Party." In the evolution of this quality time, it has become a respite from our day to day. Taking the complication out of retreating and rejuvenating. What does it look like to retreat in the middle of our busy city for a portion of our day. How do we make any space we gather in Jesus' name sacred and holy ground? Let's explore together.
I was watching a Christmas movie and the main character was explaining the meaning of Christmas to someone. She said nothing about Jesus. I was baffled! Let's get into it.

My home state, the place where I've been loved the biggest and some of my most cherished memories. Remember that as we see all of the news and coverage of Florida, many of us have family, friends, and loved ones who live in the state. While working to see change, we, as believers in Christ, are called to speak life and hope into those who call Florida home. The Earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. The Earth. The whole thing. We are praying for God's Kingdom to come and his will being done on Earth as in Heaven.
I decided not to include intro music in this episode. Sometime's our whimsy has to cut straight to the chase.

I've had the immense honor of making New York home over the last ten years. I am not the same woman I was 10 years ago. I am wiser, funnier, kinder, grittier, and all of the positive "ers" because of this risk.

The birthday blues have infiltrated Jazmine's love of celebrating over the last few years. This year God showed out in the joy and celebration departments. Healthy joy looks like carving out space to heed Holy Spirit's promptings. This year was a game changer.

Jazmine transitions from her 33rd circle around the sun into her 34th with a reflection of some what this past year has had to offer. Practicing mindfulness did not look like what she imagined, but the results are beautiful. If you need some inspiration and push to celebrate yourself, this will be a treat. =)
The point of Perfect Amount of Whimsy is to spark and share my joy with you. My mommy has graced us with her presence and she showers joy, fullness, and unconditional love like Niagra Falls. No Lie.
