Enriching the lifestyle of believers. Rightly dividing the word of truth. And assuring everyone that has an ear to hear that Jesus The Christ is indeed THE hope of glory.
In this weeks conversation we closed out our series of “The Unsung Hero’s Of The Bible.” We had a very robust conversation about a very exciting and interesting person by the name of Bezalel.
Bezalel was noted as one of the all time greatest artisan’s of the Bible. He made the ark of covenant. He made the tabernacle. He made the breastplate. He made the alter of incense. He made the menorah. He made the table of shewbread and he made the veil. In Hebrew the name Bezalel means “In the shadow (protection) of God. There’s a lot to a name. When God gives a name. He gives a DNA, an identity and a destiny to the name and the being which the name is given. Therefore when a name is spoken there’s a remembrance.

This weeks discussion was about being a warrior for Christ. We talked about a priest in the Bible by the name of Phineahas.
Phineas was the third High Priest of Israel and the son of Eleazar and grandson of Aaron. Phineas was commended by God for stopping Israel’s fall into idolatrous practices brought in by Midianite women as well as for stopping the desecration of Gods sanctuary.
Seeing that nobody else was making a move to carry out the Lord’s decree, Phinehas, the grandson of Aaron, could contain himself no longer. He rushed toward Zimri and his companion (Cozbi) and swiftly puts them both to death. God will always honor those who are serious about honoring Him and His holiness; those who will take action and obey what He has commanded.
This simple act of devotion to defending God’s holiness not only turns the Lord’s anger away from the children of Israel, it earns him God’s “Covenant of peace” and a position for him and his descendants as high priests before the Lord (Num. 25:13).He removed the sins of the people. So they would belong to God‼️

This week we had another great in-depth conversation continuing our series of The Unsung Heroes of the Bible. We discussed Amos. Amos became an unsung hero because he accurately foretold the destruction of the Northern Kingdom of Israel. He was also named the prophet of doom. Amos was from the south part of Israel. The Lord called him to prophesy to the Northern Kingdom of Israel—a calling he did not expect but which he obediently fulfilled. Gods message to Amos was. the Israelites are going to face divine intervention as oppression was running rampant in Israel.

This weeks conversation was about faith, strength and wisdom. Ananias was a disciple of Jesus at Damascus mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles in the Bible, which describes how he was sent by Jesus to restore the sight of Saul of Tarsus and provide him with additional instruction in the way of the Lord. God asked Ananias to seek out Saul. Acts 9:15-16 "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name." His encounter with Paul/Saul changed his faith.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." We discussed the importance of peace. Why do we need it? How Do we receive it? What is our response? This was another power-packed conversation. I'm sure you will be enlightened by this weeks conversation topic.

Continuing our conversation from last weeks topic “Christ & The Crucifixion” the week we discuss the four phenomenal events that took place at the cross.
Event 1. Darkness - Jesus was placed on the cross at 9 a.m. (Mark 15:25), then “from noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over the whole land” (Matt. 27:45).
The significance of that is throughout the Old Testament darkness was used as a reference of judgement. Amos 5:18; 8:9
Talks about the ninth plague of the exodus. Darkness was over the land of Egypt for a period of three days—a darkness that could be felt. Also, in Exodus. 10:21-22 After the plague of darkness came the death of the firstborn sons. Likewise on the cross darkness preceded the death of God’s Son. our sins were placed on the sinless Son and God poured out His judgment on Christ, our Substitute. Darkness as a sign of divine judgment highlights the substitutionary nature of Christ’s death. On the cross, Jesus endured the judgment of God upon our sin.
Event 2. THE CURTAIN - “The curtain of the sanctuary was torn in two from top to bottom” (Matt. 27:51). The significance of that is. It’s Christ who made it possible for us, Jew and Gentile, to return to the presence of God. No one else could have done this.
Event 3. THE EARTHQUAKE - “The earth quaked, and the rocks were split” (Matt. 27:51). it’s a proclamation that Christ’s act had been accepted and we were now to live under His new gospel/law in order to receive eternal life.
Event 4. THE DEAD RAISED - “The tombs were also opened and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised” (Matt. 27:52). It’s Christ who broke the bands of death, making it possible for us to rise again. Through Christ, death is not the end and we can have hope. it’s through Christ that we can be saved from sin and death and return to the presence of God. Because of what He has done we can live His gospel and receive eternal life. What we do doesn’t save us, Christ saves us, as we do what He asks. Tune in as we break down our interpretation of the crucifixion.

What does the cross and Christ's resurrection mean for us? The message of the cross is the power of God that progressively continues to transforms us, prospers us, blesses us, heals us, protects us and makes us whole! (The true meaning of salvation is THEE wholeness of God.) Through the renewing of our minds to the message of the cross we become progressively more like Jesus and his work on the inside of us increases in it’s effect daily.
The message of the cross is the truth about what happened on the cross of Calvary. Jesus who knew no sin became sin so that we could become the righteousness of Christ in Him. Jesus did not just pay the price for our sins on Calvary, He broke the power and the effect of sin in the lives of all who would receive Him as Lord and Savior. The message of the cross is more than a story, it is the POWER of God unto salvation. In other words, those who believe, receive and embrace the revelation of what Jesus did on the cross also receive the anointed impartation contained within the message.
The crucifix emphasizes Jesus' sacrifice—his death by crucifixion, which Christians believe brought about the redemption of mankind.
To us, the resurrection is a metaphor of to die is to live. Jesus died so we might have life and life for abundantly.
Tune in as we break down our interpretation of the crucifixion.

The book of Nicodemus (written by Pilot) names the two thieves Dismas (who was crucified on the right) & Gestus (who was crucified on the left). They were poor cousins from South Israel. Gestus mocked Christ saying, “Save yourself and us!” Dismas defended Jesus in a humble manner, acknowledging the justice of God and the innocence of Christ. His response to his cousin was,
“Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” Then Dismas pleaded with Jesus to “remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
This desperate and humble cry for mercy is all that God needed to welcome him into the fold.
Jesus answered, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” This indeed was a powepacked story! A man who presumably led his entire life in opposition to God, by the great mercies of God was able to be saved in his dying moments. This demonstrates that a humble heart that cries out to God for salvation will be heard. Paradise lost & found.

In this weeks conversation we discuss the story of Rahab. Rahab was a harlot and a Canaanite. God gave her grace. After God redeemed her of prostitution she became the ancestor to King David and Jesus. She was King David’s great great great grandmother and by Jesus being the son of David that makes her his great great great great grandmother. Rahab had faith and acted on it. This is a great lesson we can learn: Rahab's story is so powerful. Like Rahab, we must act on our faith. It's not enough to just have faith and believe in God—we have to act on it through obedience.

In this weeks conversation we discuss the importance of doing being ready for whatever God is needing of you. The story of Jael is a very interesting story. She did what was necessary for the Israelites during their war with the Canaanites. God will always full His word. Isaiah 55:11 " So shall my word be that goeth for out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. No matter who the vessel is. As long as they're willing to be used by God, His word is going to be carried out.

Job 12:12-13 states "Wisdom belongs to the aged, and understanding to the old. But true wisdom and power are found in God; counsel and understanding are his." But all wisdom isn't knowledge. Wisdom IS simply applied knowledge. Solomon prayed to God asking him "Give your servant an understanding mind that is able to discern the difference between good and evil.” And God gave him “a wise and discerning mind.” Not only did God answer his prayer. God also bestowed wisdom, riches, wealth and honor upon him. We had another very insightful conversation with our good friend Elder Claude "Deuce" on this episode about wisdom.

Enoch obeyed the Lord and taught the people with power. He taught about Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, and the Holy Ghost. Some people believed Enoch and wanted to follow the Lord. God gave Enoch the authority to baptize. God promised Enoch that he would NEVER flood the earth again. Enoch walked with God. His faith was so rooted in God…God didn’t even allow him to experience death he just took him.

In this weeks continuation of The UnSung Hero's Of The Bible we discussed Josiah. We spoke on things such as Tradition, Influence, faithfulness, forgiveness and ones own faith and meaning of God. Another great point we touched on was promise. 1 John 1:9 states "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God was faithful unto Josiah even unto death. 2Kings 22:20 states "Behold therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again." Because Josiah was faithful to God, God kept his promise to Josiah by shielding him from the evil that was promised unto the land. Josiah's heart was tender to the words of God at only the tender age of 8 Josiah was devoted to serve the one and only true living God.

She showed us what it meant and looked like to be a servant and follower of Jesus. The story of her life also teaches us that God controls life and death and sometimes work through other humans to perform miracles so he can be glorified even more.

You are what you eat, you become what you do daily...All these idioms are things we've heard before. Music has as much potential for evil as it has for good. Music is the one thing that connects to our souls. It has the power to give a nostalgic montage, the power to calm our worried minds and boost our moods. We invited Edwin Quiller on to help us breakdown this topic.

6. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." In this weeks conversation we discussed the mindset. In this weeks discussion we invited one of our good friends/honorary cast members Jeremy Grimes. We had an extremely enlightening discussion on vision. We discussed how making it to the end of the assignment is far more important than the assignment. We are professional beginners, but very poor finishers. We must fulfill the vision so the mission can be accomplished and Gods purpose will be fulfilled. We also defined vision as the capacity to see the invisible. Seeing beyond your eyes and living in your imagination that benefits everybody else.

One of Paul’s famous quotes is “To live is Christ. To die is gain.”
In this weeks discussion we concluded the segment of Saul and his conversion to Paul during and after his Demascus Road experience. We discussed how normal it has become for people who struggle with doubt to strike out at others in an attempt to silence their own doubts. Saul was mentored by one of the greatest scholars of that time Gamaliel. As religious as Saul was he was spiritually unhappy. On the outside he was attempting to please God. But on the inside he was ripped apart. Rather than confronting his emptiness. Saul resorted to vicious aggression. It was on the road to Demascus where Saul had his life changing encounter. where he’ll later be known as Paul “The Apostle of the Gentiles.”

When it comes to greatness. In the grand scheme of things, NO ONE has ever reached greatness alone. It always takes a team. But with a team, how can two walk together except they agree. To successfully fulfill the plan and destiny that God has for us, we must first order our steps according to his will, plan and purpose for our lives. God promised us in Proverbs 3:6 "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." He advised us in verse 7 & 8 To "Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil." 8. "It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones." When we steer from the path that God sets for us opens the door for calamity to strike us. Gods plan for us is to be healthy and prosper. Although Gods way is NOT always the easiest way, but he NEVER promised it would be. But one thing he did promise us is that it would be WORTH IT in the end!!!
This conversation was very healthy, inspiring and informative. Take a journey with us throughout this series as we discuss the Unsung Heroes of the Bible.

Many of us can relate to feeling overlooked, undervalued and underserved. Quite a few of us can resonate with the title of being an unsung hero: One who does great deeds but receives little or no recognition for them. In this weeks conversation we introduce the new series The Unsung hero's of The Bible. In relation to the scripture Romans 8:28-30 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified." We talked about how God finds pleasure in making our names great. For it is he that bestowed the very gifts within us and opens the very doors that placed us before Great men. But in order for us to operate in those gifts and for him to open those doors we must love him and wait to be called according to HIS purpose and not our own.
These are just a few of the things we covered in this new series introduction.

Proverbs 3:5-6 states. ”Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
How far or how much are we willing to trust God with the things we consider to be unbearable? Are we willing to devout our entire lives to God or just the parts of our lives the the outside world can see? When you pray are you praying with great expectation, as if God has already answered? Or are you praying as if you’re rubbing on a lamp hoping a genie comes out to grant your wish? These are just a few of the things we covered in this weeks conversation.

Albert Einstein stated “I want to know God's thoughts, the rest are details.” To know how God thinks and operates would make pleasing him much easier and accomplishable. We have the next best thing to his thoughts. Which is his consciousness, also known as the Bible. Psalm 119:11 states, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Everything we could ever imagine in regards to Gods thoughts and his expectations of us as believers can be found in the word of God. We had a very in-depth and insightful conversation on this weeks episode. Take a listen and feel free to leave us feedback.

Have you ever wondered why gifts are purchased for a persons birthday and everyone opens them except for the person who's birthday is celebrated? Or have you wondered why everyone buys a Christmas tree on Jesus's birthday, but not on your birthday or anyone else's birthday for that matter? Well, in this weeks discussion we discussed all of those topics and so much more. According to Jeremiah 10:1-5 "Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good."

Forgiveness is a very intricate piece in living the lifestyle of Christ. It allows us to move forward on our spiritual path. Forgiveness also encourages compassion. Through forgiveness you are able to relate to others as part of the humanistic experience. You feel for others as you do for yourself. Emotionally and psychologically. In our conversation today we discussed the art of forgiving and the power of unforgiveness according to Ephesians 4:32”Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

We invited Pastor Benn back to have a discussion about Ephesians 4:11-12.
Apostle Paul wrote a letter to the Ephesians to help them understand the true nature and functioning of the church. “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:” There’s a responsibility that has to be upheld once the call is accepted. Many jump into a “calling“ without understanding it which leads them to not being able to handle it.
Tune in to this two part discussion.

Have you ever wondered if God despised mumbling, griping and complaining? Or if there were consequences for being disobedient. Deuteronomy 28:15 “But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not ahearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:” In this weeks season 4 opener we discussed the consequences of being disobedient in relation to the story of Miriam (Numbers 12). The older sister of Moses.

Understanding stewardship is understanding that your life is not your own. Your life is a loan from God. Regardless if you acknowledge this or not. To every person in His kingdom, God has given the ability to be a productive steward under His ownership.
We own NOTHING. Not even our own life because it can be taken. So tune in for this very insightful and enlightening conversation.

Favor….hmm what is it? And why is it admired and desired so often. In the Hebrew translation. Favor is defined as grace, delight, pleasure and good will. Favor can be found and it can also be obtained.Proverbs 22:1 “Loving favor is better than silver and gold.” Each day we have a stewardship with our personal lives, to surrender our lives to Gods purpose for our lives for THAT specific DAY. God gives favor to the righteous.
There are two levels of righteousness.
Positional Righteousness - when a person recognizes they are a sinner and Christ died on the cross for their sins. They accept salvation. And they come in relationship with God. God no longer sees your sins. He no longer sees your wrong. You are positionally righteous with God.
Relational Righteousness - this deals with the day to day fellowship with God. Making moral choices that are acceptable to God. You can’t compartmentalize your life because everything in your life relates to one another.

He was begging them to live holy for God. To sacrifice fleshly desires to honor the commandments of God and what better way to do that them with our lives. Check us out as we break down Pauls letter today.

Do you believe there are benefits in knowing God? If you are searching for who you are, but you don’t know who you are…how will you know when you’ve found you? What if I told you that your identity is tied to your birth ? Your identity will define your future. Therefore, if you define yourself wrong. You’ll function wrongly. If you define yourself right. You’re now on the path to functioning right because you defined yourself accurately. If you discover who God is, you’ll discover who you are.
If you ignore who he is in you, you’ll never fully discover who you are and you’ll live your life in trial and error trying to locate yourself.
2 Corinthians 5:16-17 “If any man is in Christ he is a new creation” (that’s the root, that’s the birth, that’s the new life)

This week we invited Pastor Benn back to close out the series segment on family. He shared his sentiments on how love is always the answer to bridging the gap between families. He also dispelled the belief on how just because your parents were one way, that doesn’t mean you have to carry that same weight of a burden because we all have to face the judgment seat of Christ on our own. We also discussed the difference between a stronghold and an addiction.
Stronghold - a stronghold assumes a spiritual dimension. An addiction doesn’t. A stronghold assumes there is something behind the scenes that is cooperation with something visible on the scene. That is keeping one trapped in the situation they‘re in. If the person can ever get the spiritual right. The physical has to set them free. God created us for him, but he also created us for ETERNITY!!! Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from.” God set eternity in our hearts.
So that man may not find out its meaning apart from him (God).
Addiction. Means you may NEVER get out of this. This conversation was hot from beginning to end. So once again….Welcome to The Lifestyle In Christ.

In this weeks conversation, Pastor Benn stopped by and gave deeper insight on the conversation concerning Developing Your Spiritual Growth: Family vs. Christ. The focus question was. Are there consequences when it comes to spiritual growth and family? He stopped by to let us know that one can be family by blood and by spirit. Their not mutually exclusive. And in short answer, yes there are consequences. Simply because most family can’t initially see your growth in the beginning and most won’t ever, but with consistency the rest will catch on and follow suit. We also discussed how theres also consequences when one chooses not to grow.

In continuing the series and conversation of developing your spiritual growth. We furthered the conversation towards family and the ties and strongholds that often comes with it. We also discussed the difference between family and relatives. How relatives mean you’re just simply related and how with family you have options. You can choose your family to fit your journey in life as well as with Christ.
We discussed how family is a reflection of the Trinity. We discussed Gods intentions on creating the family. God created family to carry out his truth. God uses family to teach and illustrate crucial truths to ALL mankind. There are things we cannot easily understand if we do not understand family. When God wants to teach us certain truths, he essentially says, “picture a father and a son, or picture a wife and a husband, or picture a brother and sister.” Because he made these family relationships to be universal, he can use them as pictures in every context and in every age. He starts with the things we know then uses that knowledge as a Segway to the things we don’t know.
So if we understand family, we have language and concepts that helps us understand certain truths about God and his works and his ways. But if we lose family, or redefine it, we begin to lose that language and lose those concepts.

We had another hefty conversation this week. We talked about strengthening our foundation. Which entails developing your spiritual growth. We decided to create another series. Starting with prayer. We defined prayer as an act of communication by humans with the sacred or holy—God, the gods, the transcendent realm, or supernatural powers. Found in all religions in all times, prayer may be a corporate or personal act utilizing various forms and techniques. We also discussed how the life of Christ is intended to give us examples we can follow and learn from. Prayer is one of the most powerful weapons God has given us, but knowing how to pray is not always easy. Jesus’ disciples felt the same confusion. They were familiar with the often repeated prayers. But Jesus prayed with a kind of authority and power they had never seen before — as though God was listening!
When the disciples came to Jesus they didn’t say “Teach us another prayer.” They said “Lord, teach us to pray.”
The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9–13) is Christ’s response. Its intention was not to become another ritualistic prayer, but to be an example of how to pray. Prayer is the key to the kingdom and faith unlocks the door. We all know that keys (along with faith) unlocks doors…
The first key:
Know who you are speaking to.
Prayer is a conversation with God, and every conversation begins by addressing the person to whom you are speaking by name.
1. Know who you are speaking to.
Prayer is a conversation with God, and every conversation begins by addressing the person to whom you are speaking by name.
Give thanks: God loves to see that we have grateful hearts. Praise opens the gates of heaven and should always be part of our one on one time with God.
Ask for Gods Will: being that Jesus’s life was the ultimate example for us, God’s plan for those who love him is good, and the safest place we can be is in the center of his divine will. The model prayer is not the only place where Jesus displayed a heart of obedience and submission to the will of God over his own desires and needs. When he was in the Garden of Gethsemane just a few hrs before he would be crucified he prayed “not my will, but yours be done.” We’re living in a day and age where right and wrong, fact and fiction are easily and often confused and the future is so uncertain, it can be hard to know how to pray or what to ask for when difficult circumstances arise. But as believers can find confidence in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. and knowing that he has a purpose for and on our lives Romans 8:28 confirms it “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Say what you need: James 4:2 “You do not have because you do not ask God”
Ask for forgiveness.
James 5:16 reminds us that if we want our prayers to be heard, our hearts need to be right with God and with one another. If you feel your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling, take some time to check your heart.

Continuing the conversation of fear from Isaiah 41:10-13 we invited a friend over to delve a little deeper into the conversation. We discussed how being in the will of God does not mean you won’t have trials and tribulations. You can be in a storm and in the will of God because both can happen simultaneously.
When facing fear or as some church folk say, when being in a "storm" we need to claim peace…, but in order to claim peace, we must first understand what peace is. Peace has nothing to do with external circumstances. Peace has to do with internal calm, regardless of external circumstances. We must cling to our faith know that faith is the evidence of things NOT seen. We also posed the questions...Is Gods word more potent than what you see. Will you believe Gods word or will you believe your problem and remain paralyzed in your fear.
Although the problem/fear is real. you don’t deny the problem, but what did God say???
A lot of believers are experiencing fear/problems because God wants his people to appeal to his word in the midst of their fear because the storms of life are test and test are always designed to show us the level of our faith and to develop us to the next level of spiritual maturity. God wants to grow us through our storm. When clinging to our faith, we must know that faith is not a feeling. It’s acting like God is telling the truth.
It’s time to put faith over fear. Although you can’t stop fear from coming. You can stop it from living in you. Welcome to The Lifestyle In Christ.

Welcome back family for our season premier....third season to be exact. To God be the glory and honor. For the GREAT things he has done. What better way to being season 3 than with the very thing that stifles many of us. Which is FEAR. The conversation stemmed from Isaiah 41:10-13 NLT "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
11 “See, all your angry enemies lie there,
confused and humiliated.
Anyone who opposes you will die
and come to nothing.
12 You will look in vain
for those who tried to conquer you.
Those who attack you
will come to nothing.
13 For I hold you by your right hand—
I, the Lord your God.
And I say to you,
‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you."
We talked about the many aspects of fear that ranges from the fear of death, harm, personal experiences and the fear of the unknown, just to name a few. Tune in and lend us your ear.

Continuing the conversation of the Power In You. We invited our friends Pastor Derrick Benn & Jeremy Grimes back to talk about the power within. We discussed James 1:26 & James 3:2. The power of the tongue. Understand that your words create life and end life.
When things are conflicting with your spirit it’s hard for God to allow things to manifest in your life. When you’re stronger spiritually. Then you’re able to create whatever you want. We all must learn how to start with the spirit first. Work from the inside out vs the outside in. Where everything is more effective. Once you get under the surface and correct everything from the foundation. Which is the core, the soul, the mind, the spirit, the universe. Once you fix that. You will naturally move the way you were created to move. To be everything God created you to be. On the exterior. Because the exterior is a byproduct of the mind.
Keep your spirit in tact. Make sure you’re doing as much maintenance with that and what’s feeding your spirit. Because that’s what’s going to help your mindset. That’s going to allow you to be open. Because if you’re not open or willing to be open. You’re not going to grow.

This week we invited a few friends over and shared our perspectives on faith as it pertains to mindset vs the mind. The apostle Paul gave a supreme example to the Philippians to consider. He said "Let this mind be in you which is also in Christ Jesus." We discussed. In order to have anything. Especially faith. Is to first understand what it is. Then once you understand it. You can effectively and confidently apply it.
In order for faith to be FAITH. As God defines faith. It MUST have substance. Faith involves THINGS…it involves STUFF‼️ We also discussed how faith is only as meaningful as the substance to which it is attached.

In this weeks episode we had a very insightful conversation about faith according to Hebrews 11:1-3. Faith was defined as complete trust or confidence in someone or something. Faith was also defined as a lifestyle. Scripture states, the righteous shall live by faith. Whatever faith is... It’s suppose to be a lifestyle. Not an event. Faith is not a concept you visit. It’s a lifestyle you possess. Because the righteous shall live by faith.....If you’re not living by faith. It’s because you’re not yet righteous. This is another great episode we believe you all are going to enjoy. Welcome to Lifestyle In Christ.

In this weeks two part series we discussed the importance of aligning your life according to Gods law which is his word. The focus scripture was Galatians 5:16. As believers, we are called to live in the Spirit, to pray in the Spirit, and to walk in spirit and truth. As Kingdom ambassadors, we are called to live a spiritual life and not to be full of the flesh, to bear the fruit of the Spirit and not to produce our own works of the flesh, to live under grace and not under law. As disciples, we are to walk by the Spirit for in so doing, we will not carry out the desires of the flesh.
Scripture reminds us, in many places, that we can only walk by means of the Spirit when we place our lives under His full control. We can only walk in spirit and truth when we are led by the Holy Spirit of truth and guided by His Word of truth.
To live the spiritual life that God requires of all His children, means that we should be willing to submit to His will and authority in every situation we meet... that in all our day-by-day dealings, we remain submissive to His leadings and obedient to His corrections - that we trust His Word, listen to His voice, and depend on Him alone - not relying on our own human abilities, actions, intuition, and strength, but doing only those things that we hear from Him.

In this weeks episode we discuss putting on the whole of God according to Ephesians 6:10-18
what also discussed that to put on the full armor of God means to apply all of the Gospel to all of your life. The whole armor is the expression of your full trust in God and what He has done for you through Jesus Christ. Your victory in spiritual warfare was secured at the cross of Christ and the blood that was shed there (Rev. 12:11).
To put on the whole armor means to believe all that Jesus has done (Eph. 1-3) and to live it out in daily life (Eph. 4-5). It is living in the power of everything that God has done in every area of life even when there are challenges.
We also discussed setting boundaries and much more. Tune in to get the full details of this in-depth discussion.

In this weeks episode we discussed Why doubt is not the enemy of faith according to Mark 9:23-24
What is belief?
Belief is answers no one on earth can answer. They are answers with or without empirical evidence to back them up.
A lot of church folk automatically equate doubt with sin. which simply misrepresents what doubt really is…but truly doubt at its core is simply uncertainty. Not knowing what something is. Which is perfectly humanistic. We as humans don’t have the capability or capacity to fully understand everything. Especially God. Because if God was small enough to understand. He wouldn’t be big enough to worship.
Doubt can actually lead us deeper into faith. By raising questions. Where we go to God and scripture for answers.

Colossians 1:10. “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;”
In the closing of this series discussing the fruits of the spirit. We concluded with Faithfulness, gentleness/meekness & temperance/self-control. We discuss each as follows:
Faithfulness- Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” Faith is the foundation of being a believer of Christ. Faith gives birth to power. No one can become a Christ follower without faith. Accepting Christ requires faith. Believing that Christ died for our sins and believing that kingdom of God in our hearts. To have the Holy Spirit faith is needed. To do what God commands. Faith is needed. Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” In order for faith to work..one must believe God exist and he is powerful. Believing that God exist gives you the mind to obey his word. Faith is a habit that must grow in your life. Matthew 17:20 “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
Gentleness - Jesus told us…what will become of those that are meek or gentle. Matthew 5:5 “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth” Those that are gentle and have made it a habit will not be a part of conflict. Gentleness also means you operate with discipline and refuse to allow anger to destroy you.
Temperance/ Self control - the act of restraining one’s self from tempting things or sinful things. 1 Thessalonians 4:4 “that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,”
Romans 12:1-3 beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

In this week's episode on the fruits of the spirit we define and discuss patience, kindness & goodness.
Patience, Kindness & Goodness
Patience - biblically also referred to as forbearance or endurance. Romans 5:4 NLT “And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.”
Kindness - Ephesians 4:32 “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.” To be kind is not about feeding the poor or lending money to those in need. Kindness encompasses forgiveness, praying for one another and also showing love to all mankind. The display of kindness is majorly through love. When love exist in one’s life. It makes it possible for someone to be kind.
Goodness - the fruit of goodness is the fruit of the spirit that gives the ability to do what is right. To be a good person is not limited to helping people. That is kindness. To be good is to accept what is right. To love justice, to not show favoritism and to obey the laws of God. Micah 6:8 “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” We must do justly, love mercy and have humility.

In this weeks discussion we discuss the characteristics of the church according to Philippians 2:19-22. We discuss how the church images the communion of persons which is the Trinity--three persons and yet one God. The church is one, though composed of many members just as a body is one, though composed of many parts. The church must operate as one by the unity brought through leadership. We also discuss how the true church is universal. The church is for ALL people, of ALL times and in ALL places. The church's mission is to make disciples of ALL nations and to bring the mission of Christ's salvation to the ends of the earth. The belief that salvation is available to ALL humanity is one of the most unique things.

In this weeks episode we discuss the joy of sacrifice in Christ according to Philippians 2:14-18. We also discuss self ambition. What is self ambition?
A desire to put one’s self forward and not having a spirit of humility. It focuses on the political pursuit of an office and trying tactics to get an unfair advantage over an opponent. In other words it’s putting yourself above the needs of others. Everything revolves around you‼️ It promotes strife and contentiousness. Promoting vain conceit. Which is excessive Pride or self esteem that has no foundation. In reality vain conceit is an elevated and incorrect sense of self. So in other words self ambition and vain conceit means not letting our actions become motivated by selfishness, pride or one upping the next person.
Questions we should ask ourselves
-Is my individuality building up others and specifically the church?
-Am I putting the Gospel above my preferences?
-Do I care more about how people perceive me or about how people perceive Christ in my life?
-Do people feel encouraged after spending time with me?
-How well did I serve the needs of the people around me?

In this weeks episode we define humility and its importance according to Philippians 2.
Humility is believing what God says about you over anyone else's opinion, including your own. The importance is, it requires embracing who you are in Christ over who you are in the flesh. To be humble is to be free of the concern for your own ego that you unreservedly elevate those around you.
