This is part 1/3 of a devotion on the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4). The disciples were shocked, when they saw Jesus speaking to the Samaritan woman as the latter was known as an outcast. But Jesus -driven by His mission - was willing to break cultural barriers to reach out to the lost. What cultural expectations, unspoken rules are you willing to break to love those around you better?

As a long-time Christian, what I shared here was hard to admit. Nonetheless, honesty and acknowledgement will help us to be more aware of our actions, and the areas of our lives that we need to trust God more. So, let's check our hearts together, shall we? The truth might hurt at first, but it will set us free.
