Come to Jesus Daily
Matthew 11:28 Come to Jesus daily and renew, replenish, and revitalize.
Be Angry
From Psalm 4:4-5 we learn how to be angry and still live a life pleasing to God.
There are times in life when we will be falsely accused by others. Listen to this podcast to learn how to handle it.
What or who do you first turn to when distressed? Maladaptive coping? Healthy coping? Or God who is your righteousness. First, turn to God. Second, remind yourself that the good you do comes from Him. Third, remember the times when he has provided relief. Fourth, speak to God and talk through your experience of distress.
In the midst of your mental health struggles remember: 1) Your healing will come and 2) It's purpose is so that Jesus will be revealed in your struggle and your recovery.
As we go about our work as a shepherd of God's sheep; it is important to remember that we are sheep as well and that God loves you and cares for you.
Our strategies, theories, approaches, processes, and techniques are as mud. However, when the Spirit of Jesus is at the center of it, transformation will take place.
One of the means of getting over mental health struggles and relational discord is to do meaningful work and service.
I used Psalm 3 as a metaphor for our struggle against depression, anxiety and discord so we can live life more abundantly.
The Spirit showed me some wonderful insights I would like to pass on to you.
To be truly set free and live life more abundantly, one must be in God's Word, follow Jesus, and experience the truth.
Jesus came for the sick, not for the well. If you are sick: spiritually, emotionally, cognitively, physically, relationally, vocationally, or financially; then Jesus is a good place to start.
If you want to live life more abundantly, then being open and available to help those who are sick is a great posture to take.
The "Experts" aren't always right. Jesus is. To be free fro a life of sin, condemnation must go away. Give people the chance to be free. Be a No Condemnation Zone.
How do you present yourself in the world? As you serve others in God's authority for Jesus' glory; the Spirit will work in and through you for the world's benefit.
Sometimes in life I am so confused, upset, frustrated and angry with God. However, eventually I come to the apostle Peter's conclusion, "Lord, to whom shall we go?"
If you are feeling and experiencing existential angst. The answer may be found in your spiritual diet. Feed on Jesus and see your hunger filled.
What's in Your Hand. John 6:9-14. Offer up to God, what you have today, for the service of others.
Go to War
2 Samuel 11:1.
The time for safety and complacency is over. It is time to go to war against depression, anxiety, and relational distress.
Come on Out!
Jesus is calling us out of our place of safety and comfort to a place of doing our unique “good” in the world.
