The church at Philadelphia may have been under pressure to deny the Name of Jesus and the Word of God, but they held fast and glorified Him in all they did. In this letter, Jesus responds with encouragement and praise. He was very pleased with the way they were carrying themselves in the world. And His Words will provide encouragement to us as well. Especially in these days when following Jesus faithfully can be a challenge. This letter is full of truths we can immediately apply to our day to day lives.
