In episode 6, we speak to Laura Brav, a local Parisian and regular Forest Bathing participant who little by little came to love Nature.
She has been to several outings here in the Paris region that I offer, and together we explore her forest bathing experiences, what it has brought into her life and how her perception and relationship with Nature have evolved thanks to this unique practice.
In episode 5 we speak with the Paris-based, abstract artist Esther Sherrow. We explore together how nature is a source of both inspiration and creativity for her work. Much like Nature, her paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures are all about interconnection.
And over the course of her 30-year career her work has been exhibited throughout Europe and the US.
Take a virtual tour of her artwork at www.esthersherrow.com!
Episode 4, in French, is an interview with Isabelle Boucq, a French clinical psychologist. In this episode she talks about her decision to bring nature into even stronger focus in her professional career by offering outdoor psychotherapy sessions for her clients.
Isabelle is also the first president of the French Federation, Gardens, Nature and Health, and author of "Shinrin-Yoku en famille". She also has a blog Happiness is in The Garden.
In episode three of Nature Circles, author Jon-Erik Jardine talks about his experience being fully immersed in nature on a remote island in Hawaii and how he was able to come to terms with the loss of his brother through this powerful, life changing experience.
Jon-Erik Jardine is the author of Return to Po, a book about nature and the pursuit of the unknown. He has also worked as a habitat restorationist, a native plant productionist and zoo gardener.
Living in London and toiling away as a succesful communications specialist, Hannah suffered burnout and was diagnosed with a functional neurological disorder. With no information available to help her, she found her own way to get better.
Hannah Powell is author of The Cactus Surgeon, which she describes as "a book of mindful moments, savouring the small wonders of nature." She is also the Communications and HR director of the Perrywood Garden Centre in Essex.
In this first episode to Nature Circles, the podcast, I talk about the motivation behind creating this podcast, what inspired the name of the podcast, what you can all expect from listening and a little bit about me your host!
