We are delighted to release episode 6 were host Simon Matthews talks to SGP’s Managing Partner, James Nicholls, who shares our progress to date on our route to Net Zero.
In this episode we hear from Simon Matthews as he hosts a series of Net Zero Workshops across our offices in London, Leeds and West Midlands.
At each office we asked for ideas to reduce our carbon emissions, as individuals, as an office, and across the whole company at SGP.
Our next step is to evaluate those ideas and and take the most promising to our Board meeting. We’ll give an indication of the likely carbon savings for each idea and the cost and time involved to implement each one.

In a departure of previous discussions, we are taking the opportunity to learn about our recently revised Guide to Building Materials and the Environment. Targeted at those who work in the Built Environment the guide explores the environmental impact of a wide range of building materials and products.

After a lot of hard work we’ve now completed an initial calculation of our full carbon footprint, and forwarded our data and evidence to our partners at Planet Mark for certification.
In this episode we talk to Laura Allenden, our Office Manager, and Karen Coekin, our Financial Controller. We discuss all the work that goes on behind the scenes.
