Hello Hello Hello and welcome to another Sun Turtle Takeover!Evan Keen is in the Rockpool Studio with up-and-coming musicians Ash, Fraser & Logan otherwise known as Monsanto - an indie rock trio hailing from Ayrshire. On this episode Evan and the band talk about Monsanto's story so far - how they got together, branding and rebranding, their musical influences and their forthcoming gig in association with Sun Turtle Records at Venue 38, in Ayr on Wednesday 24th May 2023!For more information on Monsanto please check out: https://linktr.ee/monsantobandSun Turtle Press Release:For the last few months Ayrshire Colleges’ Access to HNC Music course has been practicing and getting ready for a showcase coming up soon. This year's group of students have been nothing short of amazing throughout, and they are looking forward to performing in front of a live audience. Thanks to Knights of Ni, we are grateful to be able to present a showcase of what Ayrshire Colleges’ Music course has to offer. The gig will be taking place at Venue 38 in Ayr on the 24th of May 2023. The doors will open at 7PM, with the first artist coming on at 7.30PM. For this event it will be free entry. There is an age restriction of 14+ on this event, but it will still be a great time. Throughout the 2nd semester the students have been working on live performances, working in groups of 3 or 4 to learn to play with other musicians, and perform music that might be outside their comfort zone. There have been a lot of rehearsals going on and everyone is eager. For many of the bands that will be shown on the night it will be their first time in front of a live audience playing what they have been learning for the last couple of months. The bands playing on the night include: Monsanto, Odd Socks, Sunburst Revolution, Kraftheeds & Holly Rollins. One of the bands playing on the night, Monsanto had this to say: “It is a great opportunity to be able to play at such a well-established venue. We are excited to show off what we have been working on for the last few months” --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rockpoolpodcasts/message
