Adrienne and Jordan sit down and interview Sky, founder and CEO of Break195 - a non profit dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of sex trafficking survivors. Sky shares all the details on how she started this new non-profit including the meaning behind the name. Tune in to find out more and how you can help.

https://www.break195.org/
Instagram: @break195inc

About Break195: Over 800,000 people go missing around the world every year. The people who aren't immediately found run a higher risk of being sold into some form of human trafficking. For many the sex trafficking industry is where they end up. This is because unlike drugs, a human can be sold over and over and over again.

Often times, victims fall into the vicious cycle that sexual abuse often brings. Once a person is sexually exploited, they run a higher risk of becoming a perpetrator themselves.

At Break195, we are dedicated to ending this cycle.

Our ultimate goal is to stop the demand for human trafficking. When the demand is halted, the supply will quickly follow. The demand is so high because it is currently extremely easy to access illegal (displaying trafficked victims and children) sexual content on the internet. Pornographic websites often stimulate the desire for this material as well as making it readily available.

We are passionate about ending the exploitation of humans.

Break chains. Break out. Break the cycle.

Just like our podcast name, this episode title is also tongue-in-cheek.  We met the typical way most sister-in-laws meet each other!  But we wanted to recount a few events that made us grow close even though we live halfway across the country from each other.  We also have a special guest help close out the episode.

Locations mentioned:

Before Adrienne and Jordan discuss the 3 reasons why they started this podcast, they recount their "mom chuckles" from the past week:

Listen how Jordan survives a run away Trader Joe's cart during a massive rainstorm and how Adrienne's attempt at a chore chart backfires...or is it a win?

These two sister in law are excited to officially start the podcast and share why.
