In our effort as advocates against gender-based violence, sexual harassment, rape, and femicide Ubuma Leadership founded The Black Men’s Imbizo. The Black Men’s Imbizo is a national conversation bringing together black men of all ages around to discuss and formulate solutions to the challenges of black male identity and masculinity. The Black Men’s Imbizo gathers youths, professionals, academics, students, community, traditional and religious leaders in the black community. All participants engage in a discussion which at its core seeks to find ways in which we (as a society) can change males
In our final segment of "COVID - 19 and the Black" we seek to answer the important question of, "Where to from here?". The first and second episode gave an opportunity to have open and honest conversations about observations made on the black man during a global pandemic. When we say where to from here, we must bear in mind the urgency of the moment. The urgency of it has not just been this moment but its been the moment that women have been living in quite literally at least for the last seven hundred years in which we have recorded history for. So yes, brothers, sisters where to from here?

For our second installment we are joined by the women of Ubuma Leadership. Our female leaders alongside our champions take the conversation further by sharing their own honest and intimate experiences of the black man during COVID -19. We also tackle the famous question of "What Maketh A Man?" a crucial question to consider when the topic of male identity, manhood and masculinity comes up. Listen, learn and engage by sharing your thoughts and comments which we are always eager to hear.
In this episode we are joined by our Black Men's Imbizo Champion to reflect on their experiences as men during this pandemic. Our champions also share with us observations which they have made about black men during these times.
