"If we hadn't spent all that money on Indeed I'd be a millionaire" Sharon said, taking a swig of the $12 Bogle Chardonnay.

It's not easy being a (laid off) hospital CHRO these days. Less when increased staffing costs dragged your employer into the red 4 consecutive quarters.

Healthcare Recruitment teams have a rough relationship with advertising. You don't have an in-house expert on staff; everyone ends up fishing in the same pond, using the same suppliers.

But I think it's time we celebrate the results over high price points. Effective nurse recruitment ads have the potential to generate a consistent flow of qualified candidates.

And they don't need to all come from Indeed or LinkedIn. I've identified $1m of our spend on nurse recruitment advertising. In the podcast I'll share our learnings:

• Offer, audience, message: there are but 3 content considerations

• Create a strategy, standard operating procedures, and specialized resources

• Best way to manage relationships with job boards, e.g. Indeed

• Engaging respondees: making money go beyond the first interaction

• Value category diversification over channel

With International Women’s Day approaching, we began having conversations about the needs of women in healthcare and how they can be supported.Every woman has many roles in life: daughter, partner, mother, friend, employee, employer, co-worker, student… and many more. In December 2021, labor challenges spurred Moody's Investors Service to adopt a negative credit outlook for the healthcare sector. The main factors were nursing shortages and increased labor costs, which were projected to decrease operating cash flow by between 2% and 9% amid comparatively modest revenue gains. Is your Talent Acquisition department performing at top capacity? It better be. A system's workforce is fast becoming the linchpin to its financial success or failure. No longer should HR be marginalized as a "nice to have", a non-essential component of an institution. Recruitment and retention of nurses will enable or disable growth. In 2022, our team helped Healthcare organizations across the US and Canada hire 251 nurses. We believe this sum, while relatively modest, acts as a useful data sample to know what works and what doesn't. Using our own work as a case study and reference, we'll highlight the best practices we saw across 49 Healthcare Organizations last year. This webinar will focus on the 5 stages we've identified you need to improve to make more RN hires in 2023:1. Sourcing - how and where you procure candidates.2. The response rate of applicants - what % of candidates you are able to get on the phone.3. Conversion rate to interview - how many of your candidates are scheduled with the hiring manager.4. Interview attendance - the % of candidates that attend.5. Offer and acceptance - the % of interviewees who start work.Want to understand what's working in today's market and walk away with actionable fixes to your Nurse Recruitment? "Data is the new oil" is a deceptively simple mantra for the digital age. Extractable, usable, and valuable, the more you have, the greater you should become.  Yet, in a 2020 survey of 142 talent acquisition teams, this webinar's guest discovered something surprising. 56% of Talent Acquisition teams have very little or no influence on how their performance is measured, and what to do about it.  On 6 January 2023, we talked to Matthew Craven, Talent Acquisition Sourcing Manager with PeaceHealth in the Pacific Northwest. A skilled practitioner, he imparted insightful and actionable wisdom on using data for:

➤ Improving talent engagement and making more hires.

➤ Increasing accountability for recruiters and sourcers.

➤ Making better decisions.

➤ Identify how to allocate capital and time.

➤ Organizing your numbers in simple sheets through pivot tables and more.

Begin 2023 with intentions to be more strategic and lead by the numbers that count. We hope you enjoy this podcast!

The relationship between recruiters and hiring managers is a key factor impacting talent acquisition processes in healthcare. When these parties clearly understand each other’s roles, demands and processes, and when they effectively communicate and support each other as team members, together they hire more of the right people, faster.  But this relationship can often be challenging. How can healthcare organizations address this?

In this podcast, we’ll be joined by Christy Andrews from the Talent Board. We’ll discuss some of the common challenges in this important relationship and how hiring processes are impacted. Based on the Talent Board’s candidate experience benchmark research and her experience delivering customized “Talent Acquisition & Hiring Manager Relations” workshops, Christy will share key strategies healthcare organizations can implement to improve communication between recruiters and hiring managers. This will enable you to streamline processes, reduce time to hire, and ultimately make more quality hires.
