Today is about all things MENTAL HEALTH!
I chat with associate attorney Nora Cozzillio about her own mental health journey, along with:
Nora Ezzat Cozzillio is an associate attorney at Tully Rinckey, PLLC and a DMV native. She is a
first-generation Arab American and a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park and
The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.
Nora has dedicated her legal career to assisting others who face threats to their livelihood or
careers as a result of severe civil rights violations on behalf of their employers, mentors, or
supervisors. While that has been her primary practice field, Nora’s legal experience is quite
expansive and includes practice in human and labor trafficking law, military justice, sexual
assault, immigration, family, international business, privacy law, and labor and employment.
Some of her previous positions include working for a pro bono legal clinic where she
represented and advocated for low-income clients in immigration, domestic relations, and
administrative proceedings. Nora also developed legal materials and literature to be used in
presentations by international NGOs to immigrant communities informing members of their
rights when confronted by ICE and DHS challenges. Immediately following law school, Nora was an associate at a civilian military defense firm where she primarily conducted work on appellate cases predicated on sexual assault, one of which was heard before the Supreme Court. Nora is currently an associate attorney at Tully Rinckey, PLLC where she represents federal sector and private industry employees with various civil rights claims and labor disputes before federal tribunals and administrative agencies.
Nora was diagnosed with severe Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and depression during her first year of law school, which is commonly understood as the most difficult and challenging year of any law student’s career. After processing this new development, Nora made it her mission to fully understand her diagnoses and the ways in which she could heal and adapt, particularly in an industry that neglects and delegitimizes the mental health needs of its laborers. Since then, Nora has advocated for more effective and accessible mental health assistance at the law school and practitioner levels. Nora is also a tutor and mentor to law school students who seek guidance and assistance in navigating all things law school related, including the most important principle of prioritizing their mental health.

Balance--something we all aim for in some way in our lives.
And yet so often it feels so out of reach or overwhelming to obtain.
Why is this?
With how yang our society is, the answer can be simpler than we think--find more yin.
Find quiet moments. Nourish our bodies, minds, and spirits unapologetically. Take breaks when we need them. Focus on keeping it simple.
In today's episode, I have guest Rachel Redmond, an acupuncturist and Ayurvedic practitioner on to speak to the concept of yin building and cultivation in our everyday lives, including a focus on her online program "The Yin Way!"
With practical tips, education, and anecdotes, this information packed episode will give you all the tools you need to start slowing down, tuning in, and cultivating more yin and harmony within yourself. We all have divine potential to do this already, it just begins with taking a simple step.

So often we talk about the idea of "getting our sh** together"--but what does this really mean?
It might mean going to school, getting a job, getting married, having kids, being financially affluent, or something totally different (or a combination or all of the above!).
But why are these things how we define having it all together?

When people are asked what they want out of life, most of the time they answer, "I just want to be happy." It is in our natural human condition to avoid pain, seek pleasure, and strive for happiness in every facet in our lives.
And yet, if we didn't have pain, suffering, challenge, uncertainty, and all of the other "negative" experiences in life, would we even know how to define happiness or goodness or even recognize it when it was there?
Today's wellness chat is about this and so much more--and our wonderful guest is Dr. Carly Hudson. She is a chiropractor, speaker, author, and host of the Healing Ground Movement Podcast. Through her own physical struggles from an early age that left her with numerous handicaps over the years, she learned to find strength in the struggle--and to take lessons away from her challenging experiences. Trauma can come in many forms--oftentimes we think that something horrific has to happen for it to be categorized as trauma or to feel validated in suffering from PTSD as a result. Let's talk about SPIRITUAL HEALTH! So often when we think of wellness, we think of our physical bodies and minds, but what about our spirits? What about the energy that moves through us every day? What about our divine connection to each other and the world and our soul's purpose?
I believe that our mind, body, and spirit are all deeply connected, and when we focus on our spiritual health as well as our mental and physical, our growth in life can be endless.
Our guest today is Whitney Schrader. She is a spiritual warrior of love. She has the gentleness of a child and the heart of a warrior that she utilizes to bring total, complete transformation to her clients and every person she encounters.
Whitney's journey began since the day she was born. Whitney's lifelong challenges and triumphs of her journey have been her greatest inspirations and are her areas of expertise she works with her clients with: twin flame and spiritual partnerships, self-love, navigating spiritual awakening, ascension, clairsenses, toxic relationships, prescription medication, lyme disease, chronic fatigue, marijuana, alcohol, codependency, addiction, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, abuse, sexual repression and sexuality, intimacy, food, entities, mental health, shame, guilt, fear of self, and money.
In 2017, Whitney had a near death experience and was suddenly wide awake after going through a spontaneous twin flame kundalini awakening. This event catapulted Whitney into a deep dive of healing herself. Every aspect of Whitney's life had to surrender to the Phoenix--burning away all that no longer aligned with her highest truths and allow herself to rise from the ashes of old programs, societal conditioning, and outdated karmic patterns.
Whitney's destiny was always to allow her tests to be her testimony and to allow her life to be an inspiration to others and an innovation of a new way of living and existing on Earth as a Human.
She started working with natural herbalism, supplements, and homeopathy to heal her chronic lyme disease struggles. She works with the energetic components of disease, pain, pharmaceutical use, and uses nutritional detox methods to heal the entire body, mind, and spirit on all levels emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Whitney uses a variety of ancient-futuristic energetic practices that blends Western and Eastern medicines. She is an intuitive chef and works to heal through the medicine of food. She is a shaman, intuitive empath, intuitive chef, life coach, reiki master, and holistic metamorphosis practitioner.
Active imagination, visualization, inner child play, music, dance, movement, and sound are crucial to her own personal healing and the healing sessions she conducts with her clients.
Whitney's sessions work everything from ancestral healing, inner child healing, holistic herbal remedies, quantum energy healing, dance, shamanism, and intuitive guidance.
She is your personal spiritual cheerleader who provides a safe, comfortable, unconditional loving container to empower you on your journey.

Stress/unconscious eating--something that so many struggle with! While sometimes we understand that we're eating because we're stressed, oftentimes we don't even know why we're doing it, making it that much harder to stop.
The good news is, there IS a reason why, and our guest on the show today (health coach Laura Folkes) takes us through why this happens AND how to break the cycle! Through detailing her own personal health journey with weight loss, habit change, and relationship with food, Laura insightfully dives into practical steps we can take starting today to facilitate deep healing and sustainable change!
For over 6 years, Laura has been transforming people’s relationships with food. Her own journey towards experiencing a truce with food and 60 pound weight loss led her to become a Certified Holistic Health Coach ensuring her clients don’t feel deprived so the journey is sustainable.
Laura has supported over 75 clients who know what they should be eating but have a hard time sticking to it by helping them identify the familiar patterns keeping them stuck. Ever heard of Functional Medicine? It is system that seeks to resolve chronic dysfunction by closely partnering with the client/patient to understand what in their history could have contributed to their symptoms. By understanding the interconnectedness in the body and how disease evolves from all aspects of the mind, body, and environment, steps can be taken to reverse many chronic illness dynamics. AND, today I want to speak to the more yin side of wellness--the side that our yang, "push-harder-to-achieve-more" culture doesn't always recognize as wellness or self-care, but is CRUCIAL! :)
It's a little chat, just you and me my friend, where I give you some ideas as to how you can tend yourself for deep, lasting healing and wellness.
Today's conversation is all about an amazing therapeutic technique--EMDR! I chat with licensed psychotherapist Sal Schittino (who specializes in this modality). He speaks to what the technique is, how it's beneficial, and his insights on the magic and necessity of engaging in therapy for deep, long term healing. Sal specializes in EMDR with particular focus on PTSD, anxiety, depression, and trauma recovery. To connect with him further and learn more about how you can grow and benefit from this modality of treatment, see the show notes below! __________________________________

This is another Hannah gettin vulnerable one my friends--I've had some massive moments of enlightenment these past couple months and have begun a deep healing journey around my patterns of codependency, enmeshment, and anxious attachments. It is work that is changing how I see so many things, and it is just the beginning!
This episode is full of magic, abundance, and powerful energy my friends! In this interview, I chat with Brianna Rose (a Kundalini business coach and spiritual entrepreneur) about her business, the practice of Kundalini, and how to utilize our own energy and intention to create a powerful life of abundance, prosperity, and health. The more we can tap into the natural energetic forces that are always within us, the more we open ourselves up to ultimate flow and magic in this life. Brianna delivers a potent vibration to her work and in this interview, and I know that this chat will leave you feeling inspired and curious to learn more about all that Kundalini has to offer.

My journey with birth control has been one that is like too many others...trying everything under the sun with no success and no support. Finally, after over a decade, I'm finally getting information and making some long term changes. So in this episode, I detail my period and birth control journey, along with the beginnings of what I've been learning. Women's reproductive health and health in general has always been something that I've been interested in, and now that passion has been taken to new heights because of my own experience! So I hope you enjoy my friends! And if you have questions or want to keep the conversation going, feel free to connect with me through:

Hey friends! Today's chat is just that--a chat with one of my dearest friends--on lessons we've learned in life. While we talk about a lot of life things in this episode, we both speak to one of the big life lessons that we both share--a history of dating someone who struggled with addiction and passed away. While our stories had different details woven in of course, the emotions and lessons that came from these experiences were very much aligned and have certainly played a part in shaping who we are today.
This episode is one that I did not plan at all--it's one that I wrote no script or bullet talking points for. It's one that came straight from the heart about my state of being recently and the feelings of burnout I've been experiencing after hustling HARD to bring my business back to life after things opened back up post pandemic. I love the fierce energy that comes with hustling--and I also know that I can get carried away with it, and this time my body was showing me signs of burnout. And I did not like what I was seeing. So this has been such a beautiful time of learning for me--all the work I do every day allowed me to pick up on my body's cues far quicker than I would have in the past, and now I am choosing a different way of doing business and life, and I can tell you already that I am finding more pockets of magic, abundance, and zest for life than I ever thought possible.
In this episode, I dive into the concepts of mindset, perception, identity, and everything that goes into creating the life that you want! My guest on the show is David Weaver, a life and business coach who helps his clients create success, fulfillment, and so much more in both their work and personal lives! If you're feeling mentally stuck in some area of your life, this one is a MUST LISTEN--our minds are such powerful tools, and when we can harness them to work for us, the sky is the limit!

In this episode, I talk about the concept of trauma and our label of being a survivor--and how we can take our healing from trauma to an even deeper level in our body, mind, and spirit.
Let's talk about sex. Orgasms. Mind-body connection. Trauma and sexual healing. Body empowerment. Menstrual cycles. The Five Elements of Chinese Medicine. In this episode, I chat with Dr. Willow Brown about SO many amazing things based on the topics listed above! Sexology is something that I’ve begun learning about as I’ve come into my own and done a lot of sexual and spiritual healing for myself, and this chat left me feeling so juiced and excited to continue learning! In our culture, sexuality tends to be over dramatized or shoved in the back of the closet, and it’s time that we bring it out into the open and celebrate it! So I hope you all enjoy this fabulous conversation, I know that there will be so many moments of value as there were for me :)
It's here...I'm FINALLY doing an acupuncture episode!! In this episode, I begin the acupuncture conversation--chatting with you about what acupuncture is, what it can help with, and why it is such an AMAZING preventative medicine! _____________________________________________________
