In this episode, we discuss how my podcast went through a merger from Anchor.FM to Spotify for Podcasters, why I am stepping back into podcasting not just as a hobby but stream of income for me, the benefits of a social media fasts, challenges I experience in moving to a new place and how I was able to receive a prophetic word "Don't Become Weary In Waiting" from those experiences.

Hey Journeys? Where y'all been? I know y'all like girl, "where have you been?." I was in the middle of it. Can we talk about being in the middle of it?
There will be times when things seem so dark? When things seem so isolating? When things seem so barren and lonely, like you are in the valley depth, the depths of it all? When you can't see your hand right out in front of you. Where do we go from there?
I have definitely been in a void period of my life. I recently did a mental health update talking about how I was a messy, broken, sad and disappointed person over my 30th birthday. As I'm recording this episode, I am 29 years old and I am actually three days before my birthday. Before I could get to this point of acceptance, excitement and acknowledgement I was in the middle of the fear around the unknown not knowing what was going to happen next, I was in the void.
When you're in the void, there's this feeling as if nothing is moving, shaking nor happening. You try to find a way to pray to God, you try to find a way to hear from God and it's just like, you're not getting answers.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your cares upon God and giving your worries your concerns once and for all.
It is up to us to really be able to navigate effectively while in the void. What does navigating effectively in the void mean? It's being still and knowing that all your needs are taken care of no matter what. It's truly trusting and knowing that all is working together for your good. That is being still trusting the process with the awareness of what is already pre written and predestined for your life.
It looks different for everyone. Know that you are on your own journey. Because you are unique. You fearfully made. Just like we were told in the word before. It won’t always hit at the time you’re in the void. But when it does. It’s always divine. So think about all the times that things seemed to not be working out for you. Remember how God showed up and showed out on your behalf. God is rooting for you. I’m rooting for you.
I want to leave you with an Angel message and prayerfully it brings you comfort as you navigate through this dark period of your life. You are not alone. We all go through grief, loss, depression, uncertainty on this journey we call life. But the dark knight of the soul is only a space in time. That too shall pass.
“Corinthians 4:17-18 talks about troubles being temporary. “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

In this episode, we create an ideal day together to reflect the BEST 24 hours of my life. I was inspired to return to this manifestation technique, after my latest mental health therapy session. My counselor encouraged me to take more accountability for that which I want to accomplish daily in my life through intentionality. What is you ideal day? In what ways can you be more clear about your desires, wants and needs?
Lately, I have felt like tumbleweed in my day to day. Just having a lack of clarity around what I want in my friendships, relationships, work and ultimately for myself.
It's the last year of my 20s and we are two months away from my 30th birthday. Spirit nudged me to observe a personal, holistic and spiritual fast for 40 days prior to entering the third decade of my life. I've chosen to abstain from the following: alcohol, coffee, weed and meat/poultry.

Think about how you can spend your time this week - Me Time vs Free Time vs Available Time. What comes up for you? After having a therapy session with my counselor, I came to realize how I revolve my life around the following: people, jobs, projects, passions and creative endeavors. There has been health neglect as well lately as I have not had serious intention about my holistic health. My priorities have been external factors but not myself. A few practical ways I've worked on shifting this behavior is by making space for myself through creating a gift list where I take something each month to give to me, taking quality time with me to meditate/breathwork/journal etc. The only way to show up fully for others is by showing up for yourself first. Do not allow guilt, people pleasing, unworthiness etc to cripple you in the aspect of honoring yourself.
Honor is defined as high respect or great esteem also adhering to what is right or a certain standard of conduct. As a verb it means regard with great respect or fulfill an obligation or keep an agreement.
"Damage can be caused by lack of self honor:
You let others make decisions for you/unduly influence your choices
Get into career(s) you don't love
Don't take care of your health/wellness
Bury your true self/feel disconnected from the world and your own life
Self-Honor Can Radically Change Your Life by leading you to be and do who you really are and in the way people will respond to you." - S.K. Camille

In this episode, I share an experience that I am in the middle of at the moment: Oversharing vs Undersharing with Friends About Your Relationship. Recently I have lost friends and for me I feel like a part of it may be around my relationship. Historically, I have been very open to share with close friends/loved ones for advice/guidance; however that has changed for me after much soul searching. Dating someone who is polar opposite to you yields you to learn so much about different ways of life and being. I have advocated for differences but I cannot sit here and say relating to differences is always easy. While I am open and talkative, my partner is reserved and quiet. Over the years, we have worked through levels of compromise around sharing vs not sharing.
Lately I have reflected on the following:
What is it that I feel comfortable sharing with others about my relationship/love life?
What aspects about my partner are okay to talk about and what aspects about them are not?
How is it that I can be open with my friends while simultaneously respecting my partner's privacy/wishes etc.?
P.S. I recorded this in two parts as my energy shifted. I hope you are still able to follow along, gain valued insight etc.

An episode where I share how I navigate through my experiences with mental health therapy and spiritual self counseling. Dissecting how I communicate in relationships and the ways in which that is perceived. Setting the example for evolutionary connections without imposing my views on others, wanting them to show up as us. Showing up as oneself is not meant to be a trigger for fear of abandonment/rejection. We have a great deal of responsibility to self to stay true to ourselves. The more you be who you are the more you will attract who's meant for you.
Say yes to yourself first. Saying YES when you mean NO to others will negatively impact your relationships that lead to resentment or even codependency. Realize the serious financial implications that can come up when you feel indebted to others. How do you know when a relationship is meant to be severed? What makes you feel like keeping a relationship in your life is worth it?

A conversation with RikDaRula about their movement Positive Energy Community and how it all started. They share how they grew up in a traumatic environment, overcoming depression after a sports injury and key members of their soul tribe. As a chosen one sometimes we experience the Dark Knight of the Soul period where things seem like they are coming to a standstill for you, where your purpose seems out of reach. Key therapeutic practices that may help along the way would include Breathwork, meditation and body movement. In this episode, we discuss how to ask for what it is that you want, the benefits of doing nothing, and how to be financial conscious using methods of minimalism and riding the desire for instant gratification. This past quarter I have cherished “doing nothing,” but overtime the programming of laziness being equated with doing nothing. Do I have space to do nothing when I could be accomplishing a goal? Systematic programming in work ethic, accolades, and compensation has been a challenging cycle for me. It is important for us seeing money as currency from a new perspective. What are your priorities in responsibility (due to your age) that are not really serving you right now? Give yourself space to be without judgment of how you’re showing up (or not showing up). Be conscious of the ways in which your spending is (or is not) holding you back from the things that you really want.

In this episode, we process through my many interests and the emotions around being an online presence. I have been blessed with a plethora of creative ideas but have struggled to weave my ideas together into something tangible that in turn I can make a living for myself. I have felt very disappointed in myself for falling into a pit of procrastination and inconsistency. I feel like I have loss myself these days in things that are not aligned with what I truly see for my life. So I’ve been questioning what is more aligned with the unique I see in me. While not allowing fear of abandonment to make me believe that being myself will lead me to losing people I love. Lately I felt that I have sold myself short from being my most ultimate self. Ive been trying to find my faith, optimism, grace and space for myself. My podcast is a place that I feel free to express myself without judgement and societal pressure.

We are almost at the tail-end of the first quarter of 2022. I will be turning 28 soon and it is a reminder that there is so much work that needs to be done because I have been in a crazy space of feeling like I have not been showing up/doing enough. Processing a tug of war in my relationships/work has caused much upheaval in my life. Grieving over walking away from my comfort zone and things that are no longer serving me has taken me away from doing the things I love and enjoy, lately. Major shifts have happened in my life which inspired me to talk about adjusting to change and how I feel as if my upbringing has not prepared me for that. Since I did not have an opportunity to go many places or travel growing up it stunted my ability to adjust to change.

In this episode, we converse with Kyndra Donelson, KD, founder of Protect Yo Energy (PYE). PYE specifically spreads awareness on the importance of Energy. The mantra of PYE is as follows, “Life can already be hard to navigate. Removing people, places and things that no longer serve you or your higher purpose make life so much easier to maneuver through. We will not stop until every human understands the Mantra!”
KD shares her background story on how she developed her entrepreneurial spirit. Since coming from a family of hustlers, she started selling things in grade school. She was involved with youth and workforce readiness programs which shaped who she became today. It took wisdom to put herself in better environments from school to neighborhood and work experiences.
Her gender identity posed a challenge as she felt she wasn’t able to be her full self nor accepted by family members. It caused her to runaway because she felt fed up by her situation. This decision led her to get around people of like minds in a new location. At a very young age, she knew she was different. Her experiences are documented in her book, The Climb, where she talks about glimpse and pieces of her upbringing, the mountains she had to climb, coming into her sense of self and her spiritual journey.

In this episode, I speak on how I have been called to go a different path. When you are in a space of reaping the harvest of the seeds you have been planting, it feels profoundly amazing. You have to know who you are because adversary will come. Keep your root energy in tact by grounding yourself. Stand in the territory of your power - gently, compassionate, and loving. Revelation will present itself to you. Your power cannot be denied. You are the manifestation of being fully human and divine.
I have been toiling with the fact that I am going to be quitting my job and trying to figure out where do I go from here. I have been preparing for this for lifetimes. The preparation for this moment is so divine. I was sent from heaven to this 3D plane. My mission is to bring LOVE into every situation. It’s in me. Trust in the knowingness that nothing is happening by chance.

Happy Holidays! I have something to say because I love creating spaces of discord. Let’s address it. I hope ya’ll did not let this holiday stress ya’ll out over getting gifts for one day. We just came through a trying time last year. Unfortunately, some people did not put things into perspective about life and immediately went into the same programming that we have been operating under in the last age. A shift in consciousness needs to happen. What is really important in life? It is important that we recognize our privilege, normalcy etc. Some people are not in a space to give, they are trying to get back on their feet. So many people are running themselves mad, experiencing anxiety and overworking themselves just to give gifts for one day. Just because someone doesn’t give you gifts, doesn’t mean they don’t love or care about you. It is not your call to delegate what somebody does with their money. We are not in a position to tell people what to do with their money. It is not up to the people in our lives to fill moments of temporary satisfaction for us. We have to get into a space where we acknowledge and recognize and celebrate the small things. You cannot have wish fulfillment, pleasure, joy and happiness in life seeking it outside of yourself. Stuff will not bring you happiness nor peace. Stuff is not going to fulfill you nor does it validate how some loves, cares and/or feels about you. The things that you want from others, get it yourself!
Cherish yourself and the people in your life. There is a deeper reason for every season. Do not let external things over-consume you. Always remember that you are enough. Anyone who is meant for you, will be for you without conditions.

A reflective conversation with Reid P. Moss of MissMosstheBossTV and Moss Moves Media. We share our story of how we met during undergrad at Spelman College and reflect on where life has brought us 5 years post graduation (hers… not mine I’m a dropout lol). Sometimes we expect things in life to go a certain way for us and then when they don’t, we can do one or two things: be in a space where we are mad at the person/the world for not showing up in the way in which we’d hoped OR we can transmute that energy (use it for a greater purpose that truly serves you). The blessings that come to you may be the result of suffering. Some people who have suffered for so long are now reaping the benefits of a good life (this is a good thing). Being able to speak out and set boundaries takes a lot of courage. At times, we have to love people from a distance who gaslights us for their own emotional fulfillment.
Black content creators/influencers have an imposed stigma to be the token, white-washed and palatable mold in order to be presentable enough for brands. Marjanilane made a Instagram post about, “Being Left In The Dark,” the things they don’t tell you about being a content creator. “With the rise and accessibility of social media it has been easier for Black creators to find traction in popular social media culture. Unfortunately, these spaces are not Black-friendly for influencers, creators, and brand owners because we are left out of the loop in education and access. Between the lack of knowledge on how to interact with a company to deliberate low offers due to our race, we are at a disadvantage. Black influencers need to be aware of the fact some companies are going to want you to ‘put on a face’ for their product. Of course, right? However for us, this face will typically mimic code switching and even toy at being ‘palatable’ Black. Take your time to research the company’s prior influencer partnerships, content and general representation of POC. If it it smells like it is pandering to their idea of diversity - it probably is. All money is not good money.”
When you start to change your mindset, environment there are things about yourself that evolves with you. Unfortunately, you may not be able to bring everyone with you. This may feel like a heavy burden when those around you are not elevating with you. It is important to have a secure sense of self and embrace your journey, knowing that you cannot change the negative stigmas about being out of touch nor can you control people who choose to project their fears/unfulfilled dreams/judgements/opinions on you. What you can control is the message that you bring and ensuring you are living your soul mission and life purpose.
It is time for us to step into our life force, God energy. We can have that spark and joy that we were born with BEFORE our human conditioning. Allow your light to shine through that makes others want to be deeper, tune in more, present etc. You will reap the rewards for staying true to yourself.
What is it that truly matters? Where is it that my focus shall truly lie?

An engaged conversation with Julieanne Nassetta Combest (mystic, doula, business coach, tarot reader, bodywork therapist and breathwork practitioner) about her journey through healing and expansion. She speaks about the ways she sought out a fresh start, independence and self-discovery after being in a limited, oppressed environment that no longer served her. Her many moves compelled her to find spirit, herself. From this confidence, she integrated her new self in old and new spaces which ultimately led toward much upheaval. When in these spaces, she faced many challenges: "coming out," not being supported by family, rejection and even heartbreak. A lot of healing and relational work came out of this period in her life. Through this conversation, a major theme emerged, “Who are you at the core and how do you feel about yourself?" Ask yourself today, "Do I believe that I am worthy of love, joy and pleasure?” We urge you to remember, in all of us, there is a deep truth that we are divine!
Julie shares how bodywork and breathwork has impacted her journey with Temple Healing Arts RVA. Her business is primarily focused on spiritual healing work. She speaks to her initial insecurities and first experience with massage and how it healed much energy, emotion, grief and trauma that she had suppressed over the years. Bodywork should be accessible and inclusive for everyone as we believe it is healthcare. This is deep healing work even though it is often seen as "fancy luxury spa experience." Julie later stepped into breathwork facilitation on her own then manifested a training class where she now shares it as a modality through Temple Healing Arts RVA. Breathwork is reported to be, "an immediate change in one’s life." She states, "the brain often fights the process initially and over time the body takes over. Energy starts to move out of the body. Breathwork brings emotional release, connection to the self, connection to spirit and any stuck energy begins to move out the body. If we are not changing the chemistry of the body then it’s not going to work.”

The 7 types of rest we all need include physical, mental, emotional, social, creative, spiritual and sensory rest. There are different techniques we can use to fulfill rest in our lives like more sleep, naps, deep breathing, relaxation, stretching, music, meditation, silence, offloading emotion baggage, talking to a good listener, going to therapy, catching up with an old friend or conversely taking a break from socializing, reading a book, taking a walk in nature, doing things that give you a sense of purpose or meaning, turning off devices/screens and finding quiet. Consistency and intentionality creates habits in our lives. Whether its waking up early, getting into a fitness routine, finding your quiet or even reading a book - you consistently doing these things create behaviors in your life. Behaviors, addictions, habits, ways of being, mindset, thoughts require us to shift from doing things the way we have always done it. It’s time to try something new, recharge and revitalize our lives.
This year was one of those years that went by so fast. So much transformation has occurred in myself that has been way beyond what my mind and diction can fathom/articulate. Blessings and love has shown itself upon my life. I am proud of myself for honing into my vision and having a greater sense of my, “Why.” I’ve got a handle on seasonal depression, anxiety, dissatisfaction and unfulfillment through therapy and shadow work. This year I traveled a lot (locally, nationally, and internationally), spent time with my family/friends and truly did my soul work. Being more intentional about my finances has put me in a better position than I had been this past year. I have pushed myself beyond the limits to gain clarity and I feel way lighter. The things that have been good for my wellness and well-being: breathwork, massages, pulling oracle cards, journaling, researching, learning myself, meditation, moving my body and going out in nature. Surrounding myself with positive people, protecting my energy and setting boundaries have been really beneficial for my year as well. There is nothing I would change and I have no regrets. I am exactly where I am meant to be.
Extension of gratitude to my listeners, experiences and loved ones.

Sacred spaces for creating and fostering sisterhood, friendship and community do exist! The common goal of wanting to heal as women is what connected Jamila Rachel and I. Jamila Rachel, mentor, community advocate, tutor and IT Help Desk Specialist, shares her exploration through mentorship, education, religion, spiritual modalities, love and life lessons. She discusses the challenges that emerge when stepping out of ones comfort zone to reap the benefits of our harvest. Our perspectives in friendship and sisterhood can be changed by the people we choose to surround ourselves with. We discuss techniques used to cope for self care: prayer, yoga, setting boundaries and being conscious of what one eats. Having faith is so essential in navigating through this life. At times, our faith may waver and we must tap into the modalities that brings us back to believing in the things we cannot see. Different religions tend to open the doorway for spirituality. We may be blessed with people in our lives who see the light in us, when we cannot see in ourselves. Sisterhood and community is built on a foundation of love, trust and support. It is up to us to create the spaces we wish to see. We have to be the example for what we wish to see in the world.

“There’s been plenty of times those close to me missed important dates and occasions but I don’t have bad blood towards them. Some people are genuinely doing the best they know how with what they got. We can’t expect even our closest loved ones to always be there or have space for us. Support is a two way street yes but give people grace to be what they can be not who you want them to be. I had to stop taking a lot personal a long time ago. The biggest lesson for me right now is learning how to parent, befriend, show up for, and love MYSELF. P.S. Cling to nothing/no one.”
On this journey, I had to get into a space where I stopped taking things personally because everything is not meant to be taken personal. We have to release these attachments that we have with human things to truly connect to source energy/spirit. There is so much pressure put on people by societal expectations as to how we are suppose to show up in specific roles in life. Honestly, people are showing up the way, in which, they know how. They are using the tools, knowledge and experiences they have gained and are just tying to figure it out. We are ALL trying to figure it out. It is time to go beyond these structures that are conditioned for us to meet. We have to parent, befriend, and support ourselves. No more looking unto others for external validation. We have to be in a space where we step into our own sovereignty, autonomy and self-sufficiency. Know that these societal structures mean nothing in the realm of higher consciousness, source energy.
The age of social media made me notice key things about imitation and duplication, that everyone are not original nor have the ability to be an innovator. I realize that people who carbon-copy me, are inspired by me. I am truly gifted as a creator as I can make something from nothing. I no longer search for people to give me recognition for copying me. Sometimes I want to share my achievements, goals and accomplishments but I had to take a step back and realize that showing these things don’t really matter. I no longer allow myself to feel guilty about not posting on social media as soon as things happen. I’m prioritizing my life differently, offering myself grace and space to just be in moments for myself, without having to announce everything. I feel so much pressure when having to post on so many platforms at once. It gives me anxiety! I am moving away from the constant need to be relevant, the desire to have certain amount of followers/subscribers, to make a certain amount of money, to have sponsorships and ads run on my platforms, getting invited to events and moving into a space where I can create, do something I love and enjoy and share my voice in a way that resonates and helps others.
Affirm: The doors of opportunity are open for me. I am in a space of surrendering to the idea that I have to work a job to pay bills/live to pay bills. I don’t dream of labour BUT I am willing to work in healthy environments, places where people respect and appreciate my talents for who it is that I am and where customers compensate me generously for my skills, talents, abilities and who I am. I am taken care of with or without my job. I do not feel guilty for making the best decisions for my mental health and emotional stability. I have courage that everything I need is readily available for me. Trust and believe that it is so!

There have been so many times where I have felt misaligned in my life. In turn, I had to be redirected in order to continue on the path of my evolutionary process and spiritual growth. I took time to go hermit mode recently to focus on myself and building my own personal security and stability from within. As within so without.
Recently, I accessed my past relationships. There was this narrative that I created that I could not have an attractive person who treats me well, that if I did have someone physically attractive in my life that I had to do two things in order to keep them: give them whatever they asked for and whatever they wanted. As a relational being, I truly love companionship but haven’t always made the healthiest decisions nor set the best boundaries with others. Overtime, I had to learn to speak up for myself and demand my true heart’s desires. It was truly a process to get to this point. When you get tired of being sick and tired, you will step into your power and leave situations and relationships that no longer serve you. This is why it is so important to know yourself and not allow loved ones/societal expectations to be your puppet master. Guard your heart with all diligence (Proverbs 4:23) and protect your energy, always. Have discernment when it comes to energy vampires and narcissists. Keep them at a distance; love them from a far.
Self-expression, sexual prowess and divine feminine energy embodiment is so important in creating the reality you want for your life. My experiences in past relationships and connections have taught me to learn the things I don’t like/what I do like, to speak up for myself, to articulate my needs and desires, and gave me the tools I needed to stop people pleasing. These things prepared me to be a strong, confident woman who speaks up for herself. Know that receiving and having pleasure in your life is okay. No one should relinquish their pleasure for the emotional fulfillment of others. Misalignment helped me gain wisdom through learning lessons presented to me in life.

In this episode, we discuss how it is time to take action, release practicality, and make adjustments. I have been called to do intuitive readings for the collective and using oracle cards as a tool to facilitate these messages. As I am coming into my own autonomy and releasing lessons learned from my past upbringing and stepping into my purpose more. I am truly expanding right now and I have been shown the reflection of me in others. It’s like I’m connecting more and more with my soul tribe each and everyday. I cannot wait for you all to meet them at some point on the show. I am truly supported! Practicing yoga, meditating and different breathing techniques have been extremely helpful in me going into the void of my essence. There are so many reminders that I experience in my life that shows me how I am on the right path. I am being conscious and intentional of the things I am spending my money on. I am creating the foundation for something greater than fulfilling temporary satisfactions. Even still, listening to my intuitive knowingness is guiding me in the direction of a truly fulfilled life in the most simple things. How rewarding! I am so grateful to be supported by my spirit guides in this way. Go into things with the best intentions when decision making. Be in a space where you can be your authentic self. Do not hide who you are. No more compartmentalizing parts of yourself for the benefits of how others want you to show up. Integrate the multi-dimensionality of the self into oneness. Source energy.

In this episode, we discuss an occurrence where a woman was denied access to a local church due to the fact that she did not have a negative COVID test or vaccination card. Zaza Ali replies, “this is the time where the temple within will reign supreme. Everyone is showing their hand right now. People, institutions, religions - they’re all showing us who and what they’ve been all along. Nature will bring you solace sis. Identify the beautiful places in your area and commune with God directly, without interference from a frequency that serves a God other than yours. The book says 144,000 right? Stand with pride and walk tall ❤️ this will only last a short time.” This speaks volumes because a lot of times we search outside of ourselves for our healing while the answers are really inside of us. That is God energy. Be empowered by who you are as a divine being. Your strengths, abilities, talents and skills within has equipped you for this time to get through challenges, tribulations and difficult times in life. Do not allow external forces to convince you that you are not enough. This is not to be internalized but it is to be released. Full moon rituals are important in letting go of the things, people, thoughts, beliefs and narratives that do not serve you anymore.
This podcast is a sacred space to share thoughts, beliefs, opinions and perspectives without judgement. The opportunity to commune with like-minds is truly a blessing. The most valuable lessons I have learned are those that came through by living. We are learning everyday! Be aware. Listen more. Acknowledge the happenings of your life. Be in the flow. Nothing happens by chance. All the decisions you are making are preparing you for every moment. When you find yourself in a space that you are ungrounded, consider communing with nature. We are human beings co-creating with the universe. We are all essential to the circle of life. It is a time to shift our ways of living from the old paradigm into a new one that is clean, holistic, alkaline, natural so on and so forth. This will keep you alive and healthy. Share your knowledge and insight with your family and communities and encourage them to be bold and courageous during these times. We are raising the vibration!
Greater is coming than what we have seen. The positions of power are shifting. There is a tower moment that is building. Institutions and people of the old system is being pulled off the throne. The phoenixes, Liliths, queers, chosen ones, beacons of light are rising up in this new age.

In this episode, I’m feeling a little under the weather and share some of my natural remedies to bring myself back to health. Cerasee tea is something I’m am trying for the first time. It is a great detoxifier and really helps the gut. The root of many sicknesses and ailments can be combatted in the gut health. This is from my experience not health advice, always check with your medical doctor before considering any natural remedies.
The life path number is your destiny number and mine is 11. 11 is a master number and amplified as it repeats the number 1. 11 is a highly charged intuitive number. Modern methods of stress relief include yoga, meditation, aromatherapy, hypnosis and self hypnosis.
For ya’ll who don’t know, I am in a long-distance relationship and my partner returned home this week. This week has been a metamorphosis. Think of it as CHANGE. An analogy that it is linked to would be that of a butterfly transitioning from a caterpillar. I’ve been processing the feels of Flame not being here and finding my own sense of individuality outside of my partnership. On my earlier journey, I was a needy, codependent person in relationships. At times, I fear abandonment and I know it stems from childhood. With this newfound awareness I can practice embracing and accepting the time I have by myself. It has been helpful being open to the space of being alone. I’ve found security with being with me.. the trueness of who I am. Times are changing for me and I am appreciative that I am the master of my reality.
It’s stacktober (October). Time to set those new money goals, if you haven’t already. I have positioned myself to improve my income and quality of life. Admittedly, I’m nervous going into a new industry but something in my spirit is telling me that this is where I’m supposed to be. It makes me emotional! Investing in yourself can be scary, at first, but we have to step out our comfort zones to really grow. Also, there is value in where you are, as it is building the foundation for where you are going. Be intentional about your actions and ensure that they align with your purpose. Do more things for yourself that make you feel good so you can show up in the world as your ultimate self. Find something this month that you can invest into and in turn invest back into yourself.

In this episode, we talk about the process of RESET and why it is important. We often long to get consistent with something. It is important to have a routine that fosters our growth during transitional phases of our lives. Reset moments are so key. After listening to Lemon Water podcast’s interview with Liz Tran, I was shook. We are stepping into a new season with the most recent Fall Equinox so now is the time to reset. I’m guilty of overpacking my to-do lists, going to and fro, ripping and running so to step out of my mind space... I mediate. It allows me time to be with myself and be self centered. Being selfish is important because you deserve to be there for yourself. We must unpack the programming of putting others before ourselves. Know that you can step away from it all, as needed; it is necessary for your well-being and highest good. Meditation can be so simple. It is fully customizable so make it your own. Meditation is something I, personally, want to step into more for my own embodiment. I can already see the benefits it has had on relieving my anxiety, soothing overwhelm and even strengthening my sense of self worth. I strongly encourage you to get a meditative practice for yourself, if you don’t have one already. Our goals require sacrifice. Though being productive and having goals is commendable, try not to let it over consume you and take you away from your true essence.
Be in the flow. Go with the flow. Be in the moment more. Find time for yourself.

In this episode, I reflect on 5-years post my Coming Out Story, September 16, 2016, the day I came out publicly on my YouTube channel. Love is Love. A lot of people at this time was not speaking openly about their sexuality. It was a transformative time for me because I was able to take a difficult time in my life and transmute that energy into a beautiful sacred space. I was able to live fully and authentically in my truth through my Coming Out Story. My experiences have led me to more sacred spaces like this podcast, Journey Free Podcast. I pray that my story helps others and serve them in a way that offers support, comfort and/or inspiration. Know that you too can be authentic, you can be free. My Coming Out day is homage to the person who helped me walk into this part of myself that I did not know existed at the time and even if I had some inclination it was very suppressed due to my strict, Christian upbringing and being heavily involved within the church. This was a difficult time period in my life because a lot of my family, friends of the family and close loved ones shunned me for being a part of the LGBT community. I was expected to live a certain lifestyle and it caused a rift between my identity, sexuality and religious beliefs and values. It took me to uproot myself from my family, programming and past conditioning to fully step into the truth of who I am. It takes courage to take a leap (even though you may be afraid) to explore your emotions and who you are… beyond the “you” that was told to you. Do not live in lies nor facades. It is not true. Take an inventory on your feelings as well as the connections in your life. Trust the process because in due time things will turn out the way it was meant to. You may feel that it is impossible to move past heartbreak, that you won’t be able to love again etc. God consciousness is forgiving those that hurt you, loving them anyway and wishing the best for them. There is no need to carry burdens that you can just release. Be free from wounds and trauma. Be clear-minded. Now is the time to forgive.

In this episode, I share my life experiences through conversation along the spiritual journey experience. I extend my gratitude for the present moment. On this path, I have come to realize that the things within me, that have been nudging my spirit, are a part of my legacy (greater than myself). It is time to take action and go after the things you want in life. Lately, I have been worried about money. A part of my purpose is to speak through my experiences, even those insecure and self doubtful thoughts, even the times where my faith is not as strong and help others through my process. I know that I get these feelings because of lack mindset, poverty thinking based on my earlier journey and upbringing. I am currently in my Saturn Return and I’m determined to be gentle with myself during this time. Sometimes I question if the decisions I have made with money were the best. Since returning from Mexico, my sense of awareness has been strengthened. I feel blessed that this is my life and that I am living my manifestations. I speak about my process of going after money versus taking time for creative work and consciousness development. I have geared my time more towards the things, life that I want to manifest for myself. Stay tuned to hear what gift I received moments after casting my cares and praying to God.

In this episode, I share my new energy and inspiration with ya’ll coming into this September’s New Moon in Virgo season. We dive into my ways of procrastination and how it has hindered me from pursuing my dreams fully. I’ve made excuses, wasted money, turned down opportunities because of insecurities in my self worth. Limiting beliefs and not feeling like I am good enough has led me to compare myself to others while moving from a place of ego. Envy can be an ugly trait. Stop looking for validation outside of yourself. Know that God has called you for this assignment, calling, assignment.. your purpose. There are 10 truths around knowing your self worth that will allow you to be free. The effect of not having a good self-image can impact our lives significantly if it is not addressed. This is why it is important to seek God in order to have a full grasp of our self-worth. Realize that positive affirmations are truths that help us stand in our power. The way that you think creates your reality. Be aware of all the synchronicities that are occurring in your life right now. Ask for and live in joy and bliss. You can have it because you deserve it. Granted we all go through things but it is guaranteed that you will get through that thing by applying faith. As light workers, you can use your pain, hurt, trauma and wounding and transmute that energy into healing and be of service to yourself and others. Create mantras to aid you in your healing process. They really work! Also, find a therapeutic practice to help you heal. As for me, that practice is meditation and journaling. Visualization techniques are good manifestation tools to use as well. You are whole and complete as you are - this is your true and most authentic power. The answers are inside of you. Work from the place you are and continue to build on that space. Give yourself space to go through the process and figure it out. This spiritual journey is a marathon not a sprint. Trust the process. Be patient. Be grateful for all the moments, those you perceive as good and even the ones you perceive as bad. Take this time to go out in nature and connect with Mother Earth. By reducing the stimuli (social media, electronics, etc.) you can really reconnect with yourself from with.
Check Out Alina Alive’s, “New Moon September 6th! 5 Things to Know ♍️✨” video for more information and writing prompts on this Virgo energy.

In this episode, we have a conversation about the beautiful synchronicities that have shown up for me in the form of spirit animals and angel numbers. Since recent world events, I have taken advantage of the ability to be able to have a location-independent job work lifestyle, it has allowed me a chance to travel way more than I did 3 years ago. I was inspired by this lifestyle from the "Zero to Travel Podcast." I am living the manifestation of my dreams of being a digital nomad. How amazing is that? Everywhere that I go I have the opportunity to make a living for myself while simultaneously living my best life. One caveat of being in a different environment (away from home) is that it is easy to get off track of your regular routine, alone time and going for your goals. There are so many distractions within this 3D space of productivity, hustle culture, hard working, and securing the bag. These things move you further and from the 5D space of tapping into your truest, divine and most ultimate self. Higher consciousness. Capitalistic and industrial societies have programmed us to believe that output into companies and jobs is more essential than our on internal time for self. Doing nothing is also productive. Do not overextend yourself in spaces that do not serve your greatest and highest good. Take time to meditate, breathe and enjoy the moment.
I used to have a fear of lizards as a child. I have overcome that fear since growing in my spiritual journey. I have become more connected to nature. There have been so many lizards that have come into contact with me. They are beautiful creatures. A Youtube channel called, “Magical Crafting, interpreted the spiritual significance of lizards. It has elements of self care, survival and escape. It embodies the fire element as well as has connections to the root chakra. Ground yourself more. Be instinctive. The lizard asks you to make a change to better your future. Reflect on, “What can I do now to ensure my success?” Sometimes it is important to detangle yourself from the current situation to be able to move on. There may come a time that you have to leave something or someone behind to move forward. On your spiritual journey, you will be connected to your soul tribe. You can attract new meaningful, deep, and spiritual connections. So, do not get wrapped up in the current situation now / the surface level and let it consume you to worry. The minute details don’t matter. See from a higher perspective. Trust the process. Go through the process with your new energy and mind-frame. How you see life from your perspective is valuable.
When in connection with others we have to realize that each person is coming from different perspectives, experiences, past hurt, trauma and upbringings. This often posses conflict when finding yourself amiss negativity with others. It is important to offer yourself, and others, a space of grace and step away from spaces that are not conducive to effective communication. Stepping away does not mean you are not invested. In means you care about effectively communicating in a productive and mature way. A lot of times people perceive you from the person you used to be on your earlier journey, On your spiritual journey, you will grow beyond your old ways of being. Have security in you. Do not allow others to deter you from what you know about you. You are enough!

In this episode, we have a conversation about the process of being alone. How it is essential to take time out to be by yourself when in partnership with others. It takes a certain level of maturity and security to be alone. Throughout my journey this has been challenging due to me feeling a sense of abandonment, being codependent in relationships as well as putting others needs before my own. In 2020, I felt so alone because I did not have many local connections where I lived. It is important to trust the process of what God is doing to you, with you, and through you in your life. God has developed me to be a secure woman who is okay having time to self. Oftentimes, I am called to go and socialize with others. It is key to find the soft spot of engaging with others and making space for self. Balance in all things, where possible. Being by yourself truly is a transformative experience which makes you stronger, better. Hermit mode is a space that I go to often when I need to be there for ME. Make delegated free time for yourself outside of your availability for others. Time for self is also productive so be gentle with yourself during these times. We learn boundaries through experiences and time. Protect your energy at all costs. Your spiritual evolution will truly transform you. Keep prayed up. Go to source about concerns that you may have and the matters of your heart. Your inner guidance system is there to lead and guide you on your path. To love yourself, intimately, is to know yourself. If you notice that your connection with God energy and faith has been dwindling lately, consider a prayer log. It is a practical tool that can be used to really tap in to self - you are a universe. Live in your divine power daily. Everything you need is inside of you. Inhale patience and exhale worry. Treat each day as if it is your last. After listening to the School of Greatness Podcast, addressing how we can change from where we are to where we want to be. Also, how we can assess our internal barriers that prevent us from being our ultimate selves and living our best life. Consider the cost benefits when decision making. We discover connections and how to decide whether to keep a relationship or not. Do you believe that zodiac signs are key indicators in knowing how someone moves? How have karmic connections shown up for you lately? Do you find yourself engaging with self sabotage and ultimately stunting your growth? It is a time for introspection. What are your values? Where do your priorities lie? What part of your shadows are being revealed to you, right now? Know for yourself. Trust yourself. Tune in. Pray more. Give yourself grace. Learn. Change. Evolve. Reinvent. Transmute. Love more, unconditionally. The highest form.

In this episode, we reflect on my feelings toward a comment that was made from a close loved one that, "You Always Going Through It." Believe it or not this statement really triggered me as I didn't hear it once, but twice from two different people. As a person who is overcoming the care of what people thinks of me and the search for validation from others, it made me think about this very thing and why it did not resonate. I thought that maybe I do loathe in suffering, chaos, and confusion while another part of me saw this as my soul mission and life purpose that my experiences help others. It is so important to surround yourself with like-minded people and remove yourself from associating with nay-sayers. Someone who resonated with me stated the following, "...the reason why we are always going through things is because we choose to do the work by enduring and learning so that we can help others. You are a special being and those who are placed in your life need to help guard and protect you! You are not here because you just want to hang out, you are here because you have chosen to make a difference in this realm... all of your feelings and emotions were valid at that moment and are still valid now. People always want us to be how they need us to be so that they can dump on us and feel better instead of carrying their own weight and dealing with their own stuff."
Have a filter within yourself that truly helps you be tapped into who you are, your inner knowingness. This is your power. Be careful of what you listen to and what you say. Be conscious of your thoughts. I personally know what it feels like to go through mental turmoil. I know that this is stemmed from my DNA code, as an African-American woman, where I come from and my upbringing. Alot of people look at me and see me as a beautiful, positive, light being but it is important to recognize that I am also darkness and shadow. All these things make me who I am. I have experienced two dark nights of the soul within my life. These periods helped me to regain, re-channel a sense of self. My God power energy. It works!
As I am evolving, this process may not always be understood by others, or even myself sometimes. Ask yourself, how your evolution is teaching you, blessing you, happening for you and not against you. If someone wants to leave your life, let them go. Love is not supposed to be tug and war. Do not surround your value in other people. The true value that you have for self is yourself. Resistance makes stronger. Surrender to divine power. Transform and evolve the meaning of security within self. Protect your energy and boundaries. See the reflections of yourself in others. Sometimes we deny aspects, qualities, and characteristics of ourselves that we see in others. Address this! The notion that you are perfect, almighty, and have "made it" hinders you from the evolutionary process. There is always more to go through and grow through!

In this episode, I pay homage to the podcasters who came before me who inspired me to start the Journey Free Podcast. Honestly, listening to others' shows gave me the courage to create my own podcast. This episode is a chill one as you'll take a drive with me around my city to run a couple errands. Admittedly, since I work from home I have been guilty of not taking the necessary time to be outside, in nature. So affording myself these moments to get out for a drive is definitely necessary during these times especially working from home. I reflect on the past month, the struggles and challenges I endured in it on my spiritual journey. Oftentimes, mainstream "spirituality" influencers neglect to share the shadow side of the spiritual journey; however, that side is a major part of the process. We have to be aware of all that comes with the spiritual journey process including the challenges and deep soul work. As someone who discovered many spirituality tools (tarot, oracle, astrology and natal charts) early on my journey I was really amazed by it all and excited to have access to these things. I came into this not really knowing what the process would be like, not knowing all that it would take. I am so grateful for the amazing beings who have been there to support me through this spirituality journey in ways that are unmatched and truly life changing. I feel so blessed for my connections, those who have come for reasons, seasons, and/or a lifetime. As a result of connecting with my spiritual mentor, I was able to gain insight from my own astrology birth natal chart which revealed so much about myself and fueled my deep dive into reinventing, unlearning and relearning who I truly am.
Summer vibes are in the air! Happy July to each and everyone of you. Get out there and bask in the natural elements that are so abundant and readily available to us. July is a month that I am devoting to my healthy holistic lifestyle changes. It literally starts with one step at a time. Change can be challenging yet rewarding. Start with one choice that you can make that your future self will thank you for. It does not have to be major it can be very simple. There is no need to make it harder than it has to be. Be gentle with yourself knowing that you are doing the best that you can with what you have. Now is an important time to be in tune and aware of your overall wellbeing. You are what you eat. What you consume you become. Consider natural alternatives, herbs, supplements, foods and so on that you can keep your immunity strong and remain healthy, vibrant beings. From my personal experience, consuming sea-moss (irish moss) and elderberry syrup has kept me without any fatal illness during a time that is considered a global health crisis. I am not a doctor; however, my experience is proof of the amazing possibilities that are available to each and everyone of you. In the words of Louise Hay, "You Can Heal Your Life." Always remember. . . movement is medicine. Find ways in which you can incorporate more physical fitness activities in your day to day life whether through exercise, walking, yoga, dance and so on. You are your biggest investment and I pray this episode finds each and everyone of you happy, healthy and well.

In this episode, I reflect on my journey as a new podcast show host. My first quarter of the Journey Free Podcast has been a blessing as I have consistently posted weekly since March. I am so proud of myself as this is just the beginning and I intend to keep going. Admittedly, finding a quiet place to record can be challenging, at times, as I live with others. I do want to produce the best quality content but at times I resort to some not so common places to record. Find out where this episode was recorded by tuning in to our first segment on, "Living with Others." Remember there will be times you may have to compromise and think outside of the box to solve the problems that come up in your life.
Greater is coming! My vision for this podcast definitely exceeds where we are today. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for this space and the opportunity to share my life experiences through conversation; however, I am confident that my talents, gifts and abilities will positively impact my listeners and even myself. It's important to 'big up' yourself. Be your biggest cheerleader. Dimming your light does not serve your greatest-highest good.
How to be confident?
Acknowledge where you are great
Be confident in yourself despite the perceptions of others. You are enough.
Be shameless and take action towards the opportunities that are available to you.
Have you ever wondered what your dreams mean? Do you want to know why you dream? Have you ever considered keeping a log of your dreams or even setting an intention for your dream state before going to sleep? In our second segment you can listen in on my dream journal. It gets pretty personal! This was definitely a moment of vulnerability for me as I don't share my dreams with everybody. I feel we have a connection and I trust ya'll with this part of me. My dream actually set the premise of this episode. I reflect on what I read, what the dream taught me and what I feel like spirit wanted me to know from what I dreamt.
Lately, I have been challenged with finding my place: a sense of belonging and togetherness with a tribe of like-minded individuals. After going through current world events, for this past year, it has put me in a position where I have felt extremely isolated and lonely. This time has taught me to take time for self care, to be alone and learn more about myself. My dream taught me about my need for social acceptance and the growth that I have reached as I am now a person who is strong-willed enough to step away from spaces that do not serve me. I now know that I am called to be with a certain group of people. I acknowledge that my message is special and it is for a certain group of people. I trust that the universe has great things for me socially to come. I am being patient with the process knowing that greater is coming. The right people will connect with me but in order to reach that space I have to put myself first. There is no need for me to attempt to fit in because I was born to stand out. Be unique unto yourself! Your individuality is special.

In this episode, we discuss how sometimes things in life don’t have to be so structured. It is okay to flow from the heart. Take a chance on yourself and step out of your comfort zone. You never know where your life could end up and the opportunities that can flow for you in your life. You are your biggest asset. Make it count. Don’t sleep on your gifts. The astrological energy of Sun in Cancer takes life in unexpected turns. It is a time to celebrate the joy, light and blessings that Summer brings. Cancer is a deeply sensitive nature. When the Sun is in Cancer, listen to your feelings and respond to them in a constructive matter. It is a time to nest, spend time with loved ones/family/friends, cook dinner, work on a project, cuddle, watch a movie, say "I love you," go no where and get comfortable. Cancer is an emotional sign that brings on mood swings. Look forward to intimacy: gentle, sentimental, feelings and loving the love.
My emotions have been extremely heightened. There has been much shadow work and inner childhood healing taking place. It’s been difficult to show up for others and external things because I have felt so debilitated, lately. Rest and staying to myself has helped me heal this. Boundaries are so important for your peace.
When I turned 17, my identity that I knew, at the time, was taken away from me. Know that your sole identity is not defined by your family nor friends. We have to know ourselves outside of our roles and attachments. Fulfillment comes from "being" not "having" and "doing." Taking space for introspection to learn who we are at our core is so essential. We are all trying to discover and go within, to navigate the world in a way that’s our most ultimate selves. We have to go through waves of challenges and heightened emotions using therapeutic practices. The spiritual journey can be very simple. Get in homeostasis with your true self. A lot of us get stuck in ways of thinking because of the way we’ve always done it. We have to assess our mindset. Our environment and family plays a huge role in how we develop. So it is important to separate ourselves to know what truly belongs to us and what does not.
Affirm
I’m ready to align my chakras with my true being. I’m ready to step into my personal power. I’m am the one who will change my family tree through my spiritual healing process.

In this episode, we speak about how everyone is not meant to come with you and the people who you think are your friends may be moved out of your life so that you can go to your next chapter. Friend groups can often be a comfort zone for us and ultimately stunt our growth. Sometimes we put being accepted by others on a pedestal which may cause us to be mutable, people please and neglect truly getting to know ourselves. The reason I don't have friends, right now, is because I make people go deep within themselves. Alot of people don't want to go deep within themselves so they avoid people like me. I am "beyond" my age group, in a sense, and alot of people are not ready for what it takes to be my friend. My reality has shown me that people are interested in the idea of being my friend but no one is genuinely ready or prepared for what it takes to be my friend. This time in my life has created alot of alone time for me. I do believe that my current environment stifles my growth, limits me and I do not challenge myself when in this space. I question, "why is it so hard to make friends as an adult?" Sometimes growth requires new company, new locations, new mindsets. Maybe my growth in my current environment is not in relation to other people, maybe that growth is in relation to myself. The growth is from within. I spark my own evolutionary process. Now is my time to step into my own power within and use that power for my own greatest good. I do not have space for the collective at this time. Real true dark worker energy comes from doing ones own life/own experience, helping oneself get to greater and ones highest good. Sometimes people are in our life on assignment. Get rid of energy vampires who make you only choose them, monopolize your time, and drain you. Quit holding on to people because of history. Find the courage within yourself to let go of people who are not conducive/beneficial to your next chapter in life. If we can let go of these attachments, we will then be able to better become aware of our own beingness, conscious awareness of self and security in self. There is nothing outside of ourselves that is more important to us than us. There is no one outside of you that can get you to your next chapter. You have to go for yourself. Fear of the unknown tends to weigh heavy on you and bring anxiety in your life. We have to find empathy and compassion for ourselves. The very things we hope for our friends and loved ones, we need to give that also to ourselves. Give yourself space to make mistakes. Don't take life so seriously. Be cool with not having it all figured out. As long as you are fulfilling your soul mission and life purpose then you are okay! Embrace your reality and continue to do the work.

Hey Journeys! Where ya'll been? In this episode, I speak on a what I have been going through in my personal life - a real dark night of the soul it seems like to be honest. We take a deeper dive into my emotions as I explain the tower moment that brought me to my personal freedom and autonomy. It is so important to be surrounded by like minded individuals and have a genuine support system of people who love and care about you. You can really create the reality you want by scripting and visualizing. We are powerful beings and can align ourselves with the life we want. As long as you are on the frequency as to what you want you will align with it. Realize that your wants, needs and desires truly matter and you deserve to have it for yourself. No matter what anyone has to say about it, you deserve to live the life you want and to be filled with love, joy, happiness and peace. Challenges come and challenges go. It is up to you to keep a positive mindset and remain optimistic. Uniqueness is so special. Embrace the differences about yourself as it makes you who you are. Someone out there feels better because you exist. It is key to show up as your authentic self as you never know the depths of positive impact you have on others and the world just by you being yourself. We all have special purpose to show up and contribute to the collective consciousness. Be you! Enjoy!

Hey Journeys! Where ya'll been? In this episode, we discuss how to be accountable and, in turn, become the best version of yourself. I have been nudged by spirit through my life experiences, synchronicities and dreams to be more accountable for my actions. It is time to let go of old structures and systems that encourage you to look for power outside of yourself and be in a space of power from within. In Louise Hay's book, "The Power Is Within You," she speaks on taking accountability and being within your power - to not have a victim mentality of your current reality. Have you played the victim? Ask yourself, how you can shift your ways, communication with others and take back authority over your life and actions? We have to take accountability for ourselves and stop pointing the finger at others. We have to show up for ourselves in a way that we are filling our own cup and building a level of trust with ourselves. Look at the one in the mirror, who is you. Be in your truth! Also, be open to learning more beyond your current existence. You can be permeable to change at any point in your life. You can renew your mind and be transformed by this newness. There is no evolution without change; "Be the change you wish to see in the world." Live in your power, today, and apply it to your life. Enjoy!

Hey Journeys! Where ya'll been? In this bonus episode, we delve into the intuitive astrological and energetic energy of the Full Moon In Libra occurring March 28, 2021. This is a journal style read of my research over the course of a few days based on Raising Vibrations findings and how the findings have resonated with me in my own personal life. We look at Chiron in Aries and its role in our healing process. There is space to rediscover what is real for us. We can actively shift constraints that may have been placed on us in the past. Another aspect that is going to be occurring during the Full Moon in Libra is the Sun Chiron Venus conjunction. It yields us to recognize the wounds we carry as well as look at the potential to liberate and step into something new. While the Saturn Uranus Square calls us to fade away outdated realities/truths that doesn't align with us and shifts us into our true liberated, free selves. It's so important to hear your own voice right now and embrace your individuality with joy, honor and love. We have the ability to decide what group/tribe dynamics that are congruent with who we are as individuals and those who truly embrace us for who it is that we are. "When in relations we are always in relation to ourselves." Big mirroring/reflecting energy is happening now! Acknowledge what your perspectives are and recognizing as to whether they serve your higher self or not. No forced connections over here, okay! Take time for deep introspection and reflection during this time. Change is inevitable as we evolve. That is okay! Be gentle with yourself and hold yourself in compassion and love as you are experiencing these changes. We really can step into the now of our new, and the new of our now. Happy Spring Equinox to each and everyone of you. I am praying that you all are feeling a sense of vibrancy, abundance, wellness and in your energetic freedom. Enjoy!

Hey Journeys! Where ya'll been? In this episode, we discuss communal support as an act of self love. Inspired by Dreams In Drive Episode 259 on How To Be A Fear Fighter with Luvvie Ajayi Jones, podcast host author, and speaker, shared how a close friend of hers encouraged her to get out of a space of fear to go after an opportunity that manifested in the best way for her - community support as a act of self care. Communal support is wellness and allows you to be the best version of yourself. If we return to the way in which we thrived on community in the past and integrate those practices and values into modern times then we can return to a space of source energy: love and humanity.

Hey Journeys! Where ya'll been? In this episode, we have a conversation about pretty privilege and it's impact on beauty standards, body confidence, and cultural influence. TLC's - Unpretty lyrics sets the tone for this topic as it describes the way in which many women feel they are not beautiful and it encourages women to look inside themselves and gain confidence that they are pretty just the way they are no matter what judgment they receive externally. I have personally been negatively impacted by others teasing me for my looks from a young age. The trauma that I endured followed me into adulthood and posed many challenges as a reflection of this treatment. My confidence has come in waves as I toil between feeling worthy and unworthy. The narratives that have been replayed in my head from society led me to low vibrational states of people pleasing, attention seeking and manipulation in some of my closest relationships. Be reminded that confidence is a virtue and starts within. As within so without.

Hey Journeys! Where ya'll been? This episode is my very first and I am so proud of myself for finally bringing this manifestation into fruition. A podcast is something I always wanted to create but convinced myself so many reasons not to just do it. My life path has led me to wonder where is my place in this world, what is it that I am supposed to be doing? How can I show up in a way for others that is positively impactful and meaningful?
