Poetically: Recent Episodes

My podcast is a compilation of famous narrative poems reflecting wisdom. Through the usage of my euphonious voice, I poetically narrate the content of every famous poem in a vivacious and authentic way. Bear in mind that whenever listening to my unique voice with an emotional range, you’ll unconsciously long to play the episodes again.
Elevation is a poem written by the French poet Charles Baudelaire and published in 1857. He believed that Romanticism represented the ideal. In his poem, he imagined traveling beyond earth, which is full with ancient woe and ill, to the imperceptible and oblivious space. This is a translated version of the poem made by George Dillon.
Maya Angelou is a well-renowned American novelist and poet born in 1928. In her poem Still I Rise, she exhibits the African American people’s experience with an implicit reflection of their constant willingness to keep their spirits, tenacity, power and courage to the upmost level no matter the hard circumstances.
Good Timber was written by the American poet and short-story writer Douglas Malloch. In it, Douglas anticipates the future state of people with no goal in life, especially the ones who do not strive on a daily basis to reach a decent stature inward and outward. He figuratively compares between a tree’s bad timber with an idle silly person, then he compares a tree’s good timber with a patient and hardworking person. Patience and daily strife are what contributes in the making of a good essence no matter the hard circumstances.
The poem was written by the American Poet and educator Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. One of his famous poems are “Paul Revere’s Ride” and “The Song of Hiawatha”. In his poem “A Psalm of life”, he urges people to think & act in the living present, and to get rid of depressed & melancholic thoughts about the unknown future and the buried past. He praises the eternal soul which does not slumbers, and he distinguishes it from the transient flesh which is made of dust (or clay) and becomes dust after death.
The poem was written by the well-renowned John Masefield. He is one of the great storytellers of English Poetry. The poem tends to urge whoever longs for the exotic sea life to go back and enjoy its joyous moments. My poetic narration is based on the English (British) form of Received Pronunciation RP in a seemingly natural & authentic way.
Only a Dad is a poem written by the British-born American poet Edgar Albert Guest known as the People’s Poet. The poem reflects the daily strife of fathers to provide a decent life for their families. This audio was recorded according to the English (British) form of Received Pronunciation RP and it poetically narrates the father’s journey to ensure a better life for his close family members.
Vision was written by Jessie Belle Rittenhouse who was born on December 8, 1869, in Mount Morris, NY. She was a poet, literary critic, compiler of poetry anthologies, and lecturer. The audio was recorded according to the English (British) form of Received Pronunciation (RP), and it poetically narrates the journey of the poet to the mountains.
This narrative poem was written by the American lyrical poet and playwright Edna St. Vincent Millay. It exposes maternal love, and it constantly reflects the pure love between the mother and her child no matter the hard circumstances. This audio was recorded according to the English (British) form of Received Pronunciation RP, and it authentically & poetically narrates the strong emotional bond between the mother and her child during the cold & gloomy winter.
