Blake carried on with our Ephesians series and opened Ephesians 5 verse 1 - 21 for us.
The message was titled: Living as Children of the Light

We had a wonderful day gathering with Women from all around and went deeper into the Fruit of the Spirit as spoken about in Ephesians 5:22-23

He spoke on how we were, as gentiles, separated from the people of God; what God has done for us through Jesus; and as a result, what we now stand in: A New Multi-Ethnic Family of Jesus
Hylton Millar joined us from One City Church in Westville to continue week 4 in the Ephesians series. The message was from Ephesians 1vs15-23 and was titled
‘The Dead, Defibrillated and Designed’
He highlighted how we were dead in our sin and God defibrillated us (made us alive) and has designed us to work.
This week Prince Blom carried on our Ephesian series by looking at EPHESIANS 1:15–23
He exerted us to:

Ask for Divine Revelation (1:17–20)

- To know the riches of the inheritance of the saints

This week Blake continued our series on the book of Ephesians by expounding on chapter 1 verse 11 to 14.

This week Prince started unpacking the book of Ephesians as he looked at the first few verses addressing our new identity in Christ. In Christ we are blessed, chosen, adopted, redeemed and forgiven
In today's society, we have so many voices that we could listen to, which often leads to a battle in our minds. Blake takes us through scripture and practice steps in which to over come the battle of the mind:
Step 1: Identify the thoughts that are shaping your life
Step 2: Search the Scriptures to see if these thoughts are
true
Step 3: Remember the war is won, but there are still battles
to fight!
Step 4: Take every thought captive through prayer
A Happy Fathers Day to all biological dads as well as social dads. Blake took us through a few scriptures that remind us of the kind of Father that God is to us:
1) He Is Compassionate - Psalm 103:13
2) He Provides and Protects - Matthew 7:9-11
3) He Is Always Present - Deuteronomy 31:6
4) He Disciplines in Love - Hebrews 12:6
In life we all reach a point where we find ourselves at a cross road and we need to make a decision. Prince walks us through Genesis 13:1-18 and how Lot and Abram both had to make decisions and how we should follow Abram in looking to God to make our decisions.
Mosala looks at Acts 20:17-38 leading us and charging us as we Ordain Prince Blom onto Edlership. We looked at how Calling, Character and Community all play a part in Eldership for both the church as well as Prince in leading us.
After the vows taken by both Prince and the church, we had a moment of words of encouragement spoken over Prince for this momentous day for all of us!
We took a look back at our church's history and where we got our name and vision. Blake reminded us that our vision statement - Reconciled to God through Jesus, we love all people - comes from 2 Corinthians 5: 14-21 and how we are to be people who are loving and to reconcile to God and to others.
2 Corinthians 5:14-21, teaches us about : Advancing God's kingdom on the earth. We are ambassadors on the earth. We represent God in every sphere of our lives (work, family, friends).
See just like a fig tree can look radiant and blooming with leaves and have no fruit, so can we as believers look like we have got the christian life perfected, but spiritually we are suffocating. (Mark 11:12-14)
Prince teaches on Acts 1:12–14. We take away the following practical points: Join community groups. Find trios — grow your faith together. Overcome the fear of making friends. Live your faith with others! Submit your life. Find community. Devote yourself to prayer.
CHRIST IS RISEN!
Looking at 1 Corinthians 15:1-22, we take away the following:
What If Christ Had Not Been Raised? (v. 12-19)

IT'S GOOD FRIDAY!
As we hear Gods word from Ephesians 2:1-3 and learn about the death of Jesus on this momentous weekend for Christ followers we take away the following four things:
- Christ's death paid the penalty we deserved. (Sacrifice)
- Christ's death removed from us the wrath of God we deserved. (Propitiation)
- Christ's death overcame our separation from God.(Reconciliation)
- Christ's death "redeemed" us out of bondage to sin and to Satan. (Redemption)
Looking at Ephesians 5, Steve and Anna took us through three practical steps on how to live out Ephesians 5:

We had a morning learning all about the Holy Spirit and being filled with the Spirit. Steve shared from the book of Mark to teach on the Holy Spirit.
We loved having Prince preach on Esther 4:8-16. We took away the following three points:
- Certain circumstances will prompt us to embrace our true identity.
2.Mordecai's faith doesn't rest on Esthers efforts.
- We have been appointed for such time as this.
It was such a privilege having Nkhanyiso Dlamini preach on his last Sunday with us at Reconciliation Road Church.
We looked at Genesis 12:1-3 and the story of Abram on the journey to Canaan.
Don't be satisfied with less then what God calls you to.
We end off our Joseph Series with Blake preaching on Reconciliation. We looked at Genesis 50: 12-21, and learnt to get out of God's seat.

Kenan continues our Joseph series looking at Genesis 40:1-23. We dive into how Joseph modelled suffering. Taking away three things:

This Sunday was Sign Up Sunday and we loved hearing from Blake the heart of serving and our identity in the House of God.
This is our second sermon in the Joseph series where Blake preaches on Temptation. Sexual temptation is the stand out of this chapter in genesis 37, yet there are 3 main temptations we can pick out of this chapter. Money sex and power are the massive idols in the world today.
We can take away that trusting God even when things don’t make sense because he has His sovereign hand over everything even when we don’t see it.
We kicked off a new series this Sunday, looking into the life of Joseph, starting in Genesis 37: 2- 34. Blake took us through sin and brokenness, the hidden purposes of God and lastly the hidden patterns of grace.
We started off with a family moment, showing love and appreciation to the Moffat family as it's their last Sunday with us before they move to Johannesburg.
Tom preached a powerful message, sharing how everyone needs Jesus, and so everyone is on the same level. This need unifies us and makes us the same. Your weakness is designed to push you towards God. He is everything that you need.
We took a walk through Josephs life and the seasons he went through on his journey with God and through this walk we learnt six things from Josephs seasons - Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Taking a walk through Luke 24:13-35, Kenan poses two challenging questions to us: has your disappointments diminished your view of Jesus and are you in a position where you can walk and hear Jesus?
Reading from Luke 15:11-31, Blake preached on three ways in which we can live in light of the gospel:
Live Godless (Irreligious), Live Religious, Live Loved.
As we head into the new year, Blake gives us three ways in which we can prioritise God and grow closer in relationship with Him.

After a tragic event at our Youth Camp, Nozi takes us through how we can learn from our Youth kids and how God is Omniscient (all knowing), Omnipotent (all powerful) and Omnipresent (always present), that He is everything to Everyone!
Starting off 2025 with a great message from Prince from the book of Hebrews (chapter 6:13-20). We looked at how Abraham waited patiently for the promises of God. That God is not a man and He has an unchanging nature and lastly that Christ is our forerunner.
We looked at Isaiah 9:1-7 and the cross, the cradle and the crown as our kids unwrapped each gift through the service, celebrating the birth of our Saviour.
Blessing took us on a journey starting with Exodus 15:22-27, giving us the historical context and explaining life in the desert where we need to adjust our focus to the beauty of change in a new season and turning bitter waters into living waters.
Patrick walks us through Mark 4:35-41 and reminds us Jesus is in the boat with you and brings calm to your stormy seas.
Gareth preached a stand alone message delving in to John 14vs1 Do not let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.
Week 5 concludes the powerful series celebrating the Reformation truths. Blake expounds on Soli Deo Gloria, to the Glory of God alone.
Blake kicks off our new 5 week series on the 5 Solas as we celebrate the 507th birthday of the reformation last week.
Patrick walks us through 1 Peter 1:1-12 and exhorts us on how to endure the trials we face.
Zip walks us through 2 Tim 4:6-22 as we close our series through the letter of 2 Timothy.
We continue with our journey and look at 2 Tim 3:10-4:5 and the importance of making the word central in our lives.
Prince continues our journey through the letter of 2 Timothy. In this message he unpacks 2 Tim 2:14-3:9.
Nozipho continues our journey through the letter of 2 Timothy and unpacks 2 Tim 2:1-13.
Prince walks us through Acts 4:32-37 as we discover what it means to be of one heart and one mind as the church of Christ.
In this the final week of the Nehemiah series, Blake walks us through chapter 6 and together we learn four practical things we can do to ensure that we finish strong.
In this 8th week of the Nehemiah Series we look at Nehemiah 12 together and see five reasons why we as God's people sing.
Kenan walks us through the second half of Nehemiah 5 and shows us what we can learn from Nehemiah on how we can become other-centred.
Blake walks us through the beginning of Nehemiah Chapter 5 and together we draw out four practical encouragements that help us confront the injustices we see around us.
Blake continues our journey through Nehemiah and looks at what types of resistance we can expect when we seek to carry out what God has called us to and how to overcome that resistance.
Prince takes us through Nehemiah 3 and looks at moving from me to we, and the heart for serving as an expression of we.
We continue our journey through the book of Nehemiah by looking at chapter 2. In it, Nehemiah reveals 5 helpful questions that can help us move from Here to There with the Holy discontents we have been given.
Kenan walks us through Acts 22, looking at the incredible story of Paul and how God calls him into ministry as an Apostle
Blake starts our new series through the book of Nehemiah and looks at how God grants the gift of holy discontent and what to do about it.
We spent the morning looking at the discipline of community. But is community a discipline? Can we really call it a spiritual discipline? Just like prayer and fasting, and solitude, are disciplines that we practice that encourage us in a walk with the Lord, that draw us closer to him. So is community.
Infact, more than a discipline, it is a command. God is a God of community. In Genesis we see that He made us for community, knowing that it is not good for man to be alone.
Who does God say we are? How do we get to know this truth about ourselves?
“True Freedom is knowing the boundaries the Lord has placed for me and staying within those boundaries because it is good for me.”
Blake brings the Jonah series to a close by looking at Jonah 4, where we see God’s gracious and compassionate nature at play as he gently leads Jonah to the realisation of his hate towards his enemies. Reading Jonah is like looking into a mirror and we’re forced to ask ourselves the question whether we are in fact Jonah in the story.
When we drift, God mercifully recorrects our course. We become reluctant on God’s mission when we drift into spiritual indifference, but God’s mercy makes us come alive again to His purposes
We become reluctant on God’s mission when we try to live for ourselves and don’t treat God as God. We make a power grab at God, whilst simultaneously letting other weaker powers (idols) make claim over us - stopping us from obeying the mission of God.
With the ascension of Jesus Christ often not being emphasised, Blake walks us through five statements related to Jesus’ ascension in an effort to highlight this significant and climactic event in Jesus’ life.
All that we have done and gone through from the inception of the Saviour Series, has been an account for us to know with certainty all the things we have been taught using the eyewitness accounts of believers who came before us. This has been so that our faith would be stirred and we would know that what we are proclaiming as Christians is the truth.
In this message, Blake explores the what, why and how of the spiritual discipline of fasting by looking at what Jesus says about it in the gospel of Matthew
In this Resurrection Sunday message, Blake looks at the significance for us as believers, of the good news that Christ has risen!
