This was a straight-up action story, making it a good follow-up to the last episode's supernatural thriller. Seeing a newer character like Onomatopoeia in a period piece was cool.
The episode wasn't bad per se, but it's puzzling why they'd change Harley so much. Like with Penguin, making a new original character in a similar story would make more sense.
This wasn't quite as good as the Clayface episode but it was still pretty darn good. It's a perfect example of a show being dark and gritty without going over the top.
I think most fans would agree that Christina Ricci could probably play Catwoman in a live-action film. There are also more puzzle pieces in play for future episodes like the police's increasing frustration with Batman. It's also likely we'll see the villains again, whether they escape individually or en masse.
We have the first trailer for the fourth Captain America MCU film and the finale for the first season of The Acolyte.
This was another case of fans getting pumped up for one thing but then getting handed something else.
This was better than the previous episode but that's not saying much. The characters are still morons who don't at least recognize obvious details.
The third episode is the most controversial one yet. We saw a flashback, but how much did we really see? SPOILER WARNING! The following contains spoilers for The Acolyte Episode 3 “Destiny!” Do not proceed if you wish to avoid spoilers! MAJOR POINTS Sixteen years before the previous episodes, Sol sees Osha and Mae as children. They … Continue reading The Acolyte Episode 3: “Destiny” Review

A post-May-The-Fourth show that talks the new Acolyte trailer as well as Tales of the Empire
Since the six-episode limited series was effectively two stories, we separated the reviews into two posts. The latter three episodes focused on the fate of Barris Offee, who we haven't seen since the end of The Clone Wars.

We got a red-band Deadpool and Wolverine trailer and our usual looks at The Bad Batch and X-Men '97!
A famous Original Trilogy planet cameo paired with a swashbuckling mission and witty banter makes a winning combination for this episode.
This was a tripped-out episode as expected, but man there is a lot to process! We all know nobody stays dead in comics, but the sheer number of apparent deaths is quite substantial.
The Acolyte trailer has generated controversy. Plus we look at this week's episodes of The bad Batch and X-Men '97.
We got the return of Ventress, a lightsaber fight, and an M-Count explanation for the team.
It's arguably the year's most highly anticipated Marvel series, and it's finally here in a two-episode series debut. Today, we look at all things X-Men '97!
We're in the latter half of The Bad Batch's final season and the band is (mostly) back together. What awaits our heroes when they dip back into the underworld?
Except for two very brief scenes used as bookends, the entire story takes place on a planet called Lau, where Crosshair and Omega have to work together to survive.
The studio released several screencaps today that took social media by storm. Not only did we get a look at The King of the Monsters himself, but we also got plot and character details as well.
It's practically impossible to overestimate the amount of baggage attached to this film, even without the controversy around its main star, Ezra Miller. Not only is there a ton of real-life drama, the DCU films have largely failed to see the success seen for the MCU.
How close the film is to the comics will finally be known when The Flash hits theaters later this week!
A third trailer for WBD's upcoming blockbuster, The Flash, was just released. Let's take a look at what we may have in store when The Flash hits theaters next month.
WBD dropped the second, and possibly last, trailer for the hotly anticipated DCU film The Flash.
This episode felt about as Star Wars as you can get. It had the swashbuckling adventure, the basic good & evil, and the well-timed comedy space opera is known for.
This was a satisfying conclusion. I don't get some of the criticism this season has gotten.
Star Wars Celebration announced three new Star Wars feature films are on the way. Plus a look at The Mandalorian Chapter 22: Guns For Hire
Christopher Britton returns as Mr. Sinister for X-Men '97, Kevin Smith talks Gunn's DCU, plus a review of The Mandalorian Chapter 20
James Gunn is officially directing Superman Legacy, The Flash is Tom Cruise Approved, and the obligatory review of The Mandalorian
It's a pretty safe bet that this episode will be compared to last year's Andor series since it deals with morally questionable ethics on multiple side
This was not the best episode of The Mandalorian, but there was still plenty of good stuff. It planted plenty of seeds to tease what we might see this season.
Mark and Seth look at the second part of the Tom Baker story The Brain of Morbius. This is a perfect example not only of Tom Baker’s Fourth Doctor, but how Doctor Who often paid tribute to classic horror tropes. The mad scientist Dr. Solon needs The Doctor’s head in order to resurrect the evil … Continue reading Examining The Doctor #100: Brain of Morbius Part Two

November 22, 1987: Chicago residents had a very weird and possibly creepy once-in-a-lifetime TV event...

A look at character alignment tropes using superheroes and other fictional characters as examples
Things finally kicked into gear with this episode. Maybe that was why these three episodes were released at the same time. It might have been harder for an audience to wait weeks for a show to pick up speed in this day and age of bingeing and streaming.
This premiere is probably planting a lot of seeds to be sewn in future episodes. The acting is top-notch, and the setting still feels very much like Star Wars.
D23 unveiled several trailers for Star Wars and MCU properties. We also got our live-action Ezra Birger. Plus looks at the final Black Adam trailer and some current and future mergers
Just going by these screencaps, it looks like this season will focus on Din/Mando'struggle with what he believes and what he hears from Bo-Katan and her Mandalorian buddies.
The previous trailer showed hints of Cassius Andor's childhood and young adult life. This one focuses on the difficulties working in The Rebellion not just for Andor, but for Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgard) and Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly) as well.
Marvel released the first teaser trailer for another upcoming MCU series, Secret Invasion. Samuel L. Jackson returns to reprise the role of former SHIELD director Nick Fury.
We'll have at least one episode with Ahsoka, Qui-Gon, Dooku, Yaddle, Anakin, and Mace all in it, which may be the most eclectic lineup of Star Wars prequel characters ever assembled.
With all of the cancelations going on for WBD and HBO Max projects, it's refreshing to see a fan-favorite series getting renewed.
This was a fine episode but it really is only notable for the returns of Blonsky and Wong. It seems that Wong showing up in just about any MCU environment will never get old.
