Tim and Alexander continue the conversation they began in episode 1 and lay a few more foundational bricks in place as they exploration of the structure of Astrology.
There is a "philosophical mindset," or framework in Astrology that is a mirror of God's creation that we all share. It is "Astrology Rooted in the Reality of the World." We understand that the birth moment inherently encompasses the Whole of the cosmos and that we each carry an aspect of that entirety, of that Wholeness, within us.
The point of a consultation is in some sense is to reconnect with our Wholeness and with each other, to realize our ability to love and be loved.

This is the inaugural episode, and we hope it will be the first of many shows together. Today we discuss "The Nature of Astrology," and how the astrological experience is really indistinguishable from the lived experience that triggers the same sense of awe and reverence we might feel in nature. For example, when looking at the actual planets in the night sky, or perhaps when listening to the great horned owl in the wild while staring into an "eye piece" at the starry firmament, all the while a black bear, pacing the perimeter has come to check us out, for interloping in her woods and to sniff around camp while most of us "barely" notice she is there, and to see for herself whether or not she might not rustle up something for dinner from the unlocked coolers we left unattended.
The dialog moves playfully in an unscripted but helpful way. Alexander relates the essential structure of Astrology to the Seasons, and to Nature. He eloquently teaches us how we too are a part of the same structure, and that ALL is connected: Astrologers, seekers, great horned owls, and bears. All of us! Astrology represents these connections through symbol, and the symbolism of Astrology is the language astrologers use to help clients discover the connections in their own lives, to make personal maps of meaning for their life, and together with the astrologer, to embrace a sacred sharing that is Astrology.

On this episode The Astral Core goes on an unscripted riff in an attempt to set the stage for what's to come. Unlike the much bandied about predictions concerning lunations, eclipses, or Great Conjunctions, that seem to fall like so many trees in the forest, we hope to add levity and meaning to your astrological journey by personalizing our astrological observations and providing context as well as much needed perspective. We want to prod listeners to be more circumspect and less vulnerable to Astrology that is sensationalized by provocative interpretation.
