Freddie hails from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He recorded his masterpiece “They’ll Never Know Why” in 1968 for Look Records, a division of Starday out of Nashville. It made little noise Stateside but went on to become one of the most popular Northern Soul Scene records at Wigan Casino and just about every other venue at the time in the UK and since.
