Organizing our life and relationship and house and stuff is so very overwhelming to most of us (me included)! To Lauren Pearl it is something she finds relaxing....like a coping mechanism.

She turned her coping mechanism into a business and has used her calming organization as a way to help people find structure in minimizing, clearing out, packing away, and decluttering!

She explains the "needs" and attachments that people have with their things.

The difference between men and women regarding clutter and the emotions around why!

This was such an amazing conversation.

I hope you enjoy, and maybe it sparks a want to declutter in your relationships and home!

His studies beginning in 1983, involved couples and the "love lab". Where the Four Horsemen were created and defined.

Criticism, Defensiveness, Contempt, and Stonewalling are a pretty sure fire way to end a marriage in divorce.

This episode discusses each one and the antidote to stop and prevent them from showing up in conflict and daily life. Putting your marriage in the masters category and out of the disasters category.

So many times I hear couples communicating in the "I" and "You" vs communicating with the "We" and the "Us". The shift in understanding the difference is amazing. Then applying the We and Us will bring the relationship to a level of understanding and forward movement.  Focusing on ourselves as individuals and trying to say we are a couple or a partnership doesn't really work all that well. There are many moments of disconnect when we lose sight of the Us.

Some of us barely talk! And some of us struggle with where to begin.

I came up with some questions to really start the conversation and open up the lines of receiving and giving communication.

Some of the questions help to get to know each other better. To explore areas that may have not been explored before.

Others questions are designed to help converse around the topic of the relationship itself.  To dive in about areas that are great and areas that the each of you feel is in need of some attention.

This exercise helps to understand each other better, increase listening skills, and increase communication in every romantic relationship.
