Boosts Your Mood. Clutter can make you feel irritated because it sends signals to your brain that you don’t have your life together. Living in a messy environment can be depressing. Some people even feel like a failure because of clutter when by contrast, decluttering can give us a real sense of accomplishment.

Heya peeps – its Friday and that means one thing… It’s the weekend babies!! It’s fun time, it’s you time. Yet another 5-day week crammed into 4 (possibly even 3), no doubt that you’re ready to unwind to the max. It’s quite fitting that in the craziness of cramming in all things work, that tomorrow, Saturday 1st of May, we celebrate Worker’s day. And it’s pretty ironic that it’s on a Saturday too. Giggles and irony aside, work has been something that Covid has really made people reassess and re-evaluate. With massive losses, shutdowns, company closures, retrenchments etc., work has become a treasured activity.
The eventing and entertainment industry has been one of the hardest hit by the shockwaves of Covid. Most faced immediate closures and shutdowns on the basis of no crowds being allowed to gather. No audience, means no moola to make the eventing machine turn. Remember it takes an ecosystem to entertain you cool cats. With that in mind, let’s celebrate the heroes who make it their job to make you smile and entertain YOU.
Definition of take each day as it comes. : to deal with each day's problems as they come instead of worrying about the future There's no way to know what the future will bring, so just take each day as it comes and hope for the best.
Heya superheroes, as we cruise towards the weekend AND the end of April, at the speed of light, why not take a moment to slow down and take a little breather.
Tap into the freedom feels. It’s quite appropriate this weekend as we celebrate Freedom Day, shortly thereafter. Tuesday 27th of April is Freedom Day in South Africa. Freedom Day is the celebration and commemoration of the long struggle for democracy in the country. It was the awesome and auspicious day that South Africa held her first democratic elections. And thank goodness for our freedom and the liberties that accompany it.
Speaking of our freedom, lets dive into its offerings…
Happiness and success are preceded by gratitude. We need to happily succeed rather than try to succeed to be happy. Success should not breed happiness. Happiness should bread success. Once we’re happy, and we’re doing something we love in life, success becomes a byproduct. However, when our happiness hinges on our success, good things never come. It’s also a matter of focus...
Let hear what Chris has to say in this regard, thanks for joining us.
Heya peeps, time really is flying and in flash, April is almost a thing of the past. Don’t let this weekend pass you by. Be in the moment and live. Get out there and explore the exciting offerings. Claim your city. Explore all it has to offer you.
Now speaking of exploring… think you have what it takes to catch a serial killer? CluedUpp (https://www.cluedupp.com/) is an exciting, outdoor detective adventure - and it’s coming to Johannesburg on 17th April 2021.
What’s happening you beauties and beasties? I trust that you had a beautiful break and recovered from your chocolate and cocoa comers. If you were anything like me, you were soaking up some sun, chilling with loved ones and just plain, enjoying some time-out. The last few days, I have become incredibly aware of autumn setting in and decided that we need to pack in as much sun-filled opportunities as possible. So here goes…
“Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state. Scholars have found meditation elusive to define, as practices vary both between traditions and within them.” -Wikipedia
Hello superheroes, the cool thing about a 4-day week is exactly that. 4 days of grafting and it’s the weekend…
The flip side of that, is that 5 work-days are essentially crammed into 4 – making it quite the grind of a week. But stick with me cause it’s the weekend nonetheless.
"Personal branding is the conscious and intentional effort to create and influence public perception of an individual by positioning them as an authority in their industry, elevating their credibility, and differentiating themselves from the competition, to ultimately advance their career, increase their circle of influence, and have a larger impact." There is so little and so much happening at the moment, makes me feel a bit like I’m on the set of Stranger Things! So many companies that have been around for years have dissolved leaving so many people wondering what to do – find a job? begin a start-up? collaborate with a group, be a part of the gig economy? – it’s endless… The pandemic has become an inflection point for many… not excluding myself. I’d like to share my historical inflection point with you...
Human Rights Day is commemorated annually on 21 March to remind South Africans about the sacrifices that accompanied the struggle for democracy in South Africa.
The 1960s were characterised by systematic defiance and protest against apartheid and racism across the country. On March 21, 1960 the communities of Sharpeville and Langa, along with their compatriots, embarked on a march to protest against pass laws.
Our democratic government declared March 21 Human Rights Day to commemorate and honour those who fought and lost their lives for our liberation and the rights we enjoy today. Our Constitution is hailed as one of the most progressive in the world.
It is because of the sacrifices of these people that we can enjoy weekends and time with the people that we love most, irrespective of race, religion, sexual orientation or any other category that attempts to box us. Realise your Rights and remember your responsibilities!
With our History lesson done, it’s time to crack on with all things weekend!

March is Human Rights Month in SA – and boy, can I speak about Human Rights and the accompanying list of responsibilities. But we will get into that next week. In the meantime, you have the right to have a lot of fun.
Last year, National Children’s Theatre opened their new outdoor theatre: the Imagination Theatre. In this time of COVID and its harsh realities, children (and parents!) need to escape the confines of homes and screens and reconnect with their imaginations. Through stories and music, little ones can find healing and understanding in these unprecedented times.
From March the 7th through to the 18th, NCT’s outdoor Imagination Theatre will...

Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers in the body. Their job is to transmit signals from nerve cells to target cells. These target cells may be in muscles, glands, or other nerves.
The brain needs neurotransmitters to regulate many necessary functions, including:
Chris takes us through these processes in today's episode.
This week, fellow South Africans gathered on couches across the country to listen to our Main Man, President Cyril Rhamaposa. We have been graduated from Level 3 directly to Level 1. Wow, we even skipped a level. With all this excitement comes great responsibility. I’m not saying, don’t have fun, I mean hello!! I am all bout the fun.
What I am saying is, don’t mess it up.
This weekend,
Chris shares his thoughts on this very important self-care-love-respect topic, enjoy...
