"Your time should be managed on the move, because it cannot be paused while you stop and figure things out." - Johnnie Williams III

Each and every podcast episode allow for me to find my way back into the flow - as long as I focus my energy and attention on the theme and thought. My process for producing each message is 3-fold, beginning with tapping in and allowing my marker to dance across the white board that contains my show notes. Once that is done, i usually take a day or maybe a few hours to sit with it, look at it and then move on to record it.

As I walk into my home studio and hit the power button, I am already ascending into a higher state of...or enlivened state. My heart begins beating slower, which is seemingly the opposite of what would be expected, but I actually begin to relax into what will ultimately become another thought stirring experience for whomever might listen. My intent with each episode is to capture my energy during this moment of flow as I focus upon a single-quote I may have created more than 7 years ago. I try to remember where I was and what I might have been doing, thinking or trying to say; and make sure that I allow that to come back to me as I began to share with you the listener(s).

This episode's message allowed me to briefly highlight the obvious notion - that time does not sit nor stand still despite our desire for it to do so. It (time) doesn't slow from the pace we have set for it to tick and tock along with our lives. Therefore, at best all we can do is manage it better and better from experience gained from wasting it or losing it and paying the high price.

I quickly offer up a way that I escape the grip of time and you can as well, before signing off with a couple of questions you should consider answering:

1) When is the busiest part of your day?
2) Where do you get caught wasting the most time?
3) How do you make up for lost time? (and... can you?)

"Mother Nature has been trying to teach me something very important - KEEP GROWING." - Johnnie Williams III

This episode tackles the concept of personal growth and offers an interesting analogy with regard to others not desiring to grow with you. Be sure to call the Thought Line to share your opinion of what you've gotten from this podcast and any of the others 47 episodes that each pack unique messages to be discovered.

If you are looking for an engaging way to mirror your own personal growth and development, I suggest you going out and purchasing a pot, some potting soil and a plant (seed) that matches your personality or the life cycle of your improvement efforts. Plant the seed the day you intend to begin your journey and do exactly what it takes to insure its growth for yourself. Water, fertilize and nurture your ambition just as you do the plant and just keep pace with it until the steps become habit and it feels un-natural not to do them.

Remember that "Time is Truth and Truth is Time" and all shall be revealed in just a matter of time.

Ask Yourself:

1) What does a plant need to grow?
2) Where do you need the most time growing yourself?
3) What does that growth look like?

"The power is in your hand... If you have a question raise it, and if you see someone in need, be sure to lend it." - Johnnie Williams III

What does it mean to speak your truth?
What would you say - or do you say?
Who is drawn to your truth and welcomes it?
Who avoids your truth by rejecting you or discouraging you from sharing it?

Can your TRUTH be shared without offending someone or being taken as disrespect?

This episode suggests and urges for you to Speak Your Truth...

But maybe it was at school or even at home that we learned to suppress it and opted to mute ourselves. Today, the internet offers some the virtual courage to say things safely behind their screens that they probably wouldn't in person. And because of this, many have been insulted and angered by so many sharing their truth in disrespectful and dysfunctional ways.

Ask Yourself:

  • What is the most memorable question you had answered by raising your hand?
  • When was the last time you lent a hand to someone in need?
  • How did that make you feel?

"One thing my grandparents taught me... You can't spend towards retirement, but you can save for it." - Johnnie Williams III

It's NEVER TO LATE to:
- start something new
- stop making the same mistakes
- try a different approach
- change your mind or perspective

The focus in this episode is on the retirement plans and practices of employees and those opting for entrepreneurship. You will be challenged to ask yourself what is your spending ratio, as it relates to how you spend on wants and needs.

The analogy used during this episode played off the hugely successful book by Robert Kiyosaki, 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad'. But instead referenced the retirement planning of my entrepreneurial grandparents and my employee grandparents. Many Americans do not have the type of long-term savings that will insure a comfortable retirement, and this show will offer up a reason to take some time to really Think About It...

Ask Yourself:

1) What type of spending personality do you have?
2) Where can you cut back on wants to save what you need to?
3) How will this step enhance your retirement?

Some say that life is a rat race you will never win I say we should at least think your way to the front of it.” - Johnnie Williams III

Notice I didn’t say:

-Work your way to the front of it…

-Run or race your way to the front of it…

-Cheat your way to the front of it…

Check out this video that describes a 1950 Harvard university study using similar rats that were both domesticated and wild. The study aimed to see how long the rats of different circumstance would swim before giving up. The findings were very interesting and speak to the Hope and hopelessness that is present within men and women across the globe. Some still have hope in succeeding and thriving despite the obstacles they are confronted with. But many others have given up on trying to access the possibility of getting more out of life.

Don't Give Up...

Do you believe you can continue to survive or even thrive within this man-made rat race?

Don’t give up – keep pushing – keep kicking – keep dreaming – keep loving the journey of life!!!

The think about it brand and podcast or about encouraging, reminding, and inspiring good people to think critically and independently. I offer an array of services and products that attempt to support the creation of a productive habit of thinking deeply more often to avoid the predictable rat traps that have caught too many of us due to unconscious reactions.

Something to think about…

Ask Yourself:

  1. What has life and stress done to your optimism?
  2. What is one thing you can do to make your life easier to manage?

As a child, I followed in my parent's footsteps… As I’ve gotten older, I have begun to create my own.” - Johnnie Williams III

Who is telling your story? Is it you? What do you feed into the abyssNess of his – story?

My personal story has many chapters that include highs and lows, as well as close calls and some very amazing moments too. I have been blessed and fortunate to tell my story for a living – but sometimes that has required that I relive some emotional moments. These moments have served the purpose of helping me in connecting with others currently going through a similar (present) moment or tough time. So, I will share the pieces that offer food for thought in tangible life lessons that offer value to those paying with attention.

It was my father who told me and taught me to be bigger than my story and its challenging chapters. He would know – as a child he was left to battle Polio without the support and assurance of his own father who was left to battle tuberculosis – TB – after returning from World War II. So essentially, he shared in the footsteps of health-related struggles like his father… my grandfather. But it was his personal fortitude that determined that polio would not render him crippled – crippled physically nor emotionally. So, he forged on at an early age to craft his own steps and his own perception of himself despite doctor, family, and the opinion of friends who all doubted his fate. But now, here he is telling his own amazing story of loving his wife of 51 years and raising three sons as he helps to guide his six grandchildren who too can follow in his footsteps until they’re able to create and craft their own.

Ask Yourself:

  1. What is one example that your parents set for you?
  2. What is something you have accomplished it makes you proud?

If you desire to accomplish anything in life, please delete the (t) in can't; you can only succeed without it” - Johnnie Williams III

Have you ever placed an order at a restaurant and mentioned to remove something they had as an ingredient you didn’t want included? Well - let’s hold the (t) - you can do it!

I feel that many of us have learned can’t from someone who couldn’t bear to watch us fail or fall short. So, we were conditioned to say can’t more often than not. I can’t - you can’t – we can’t... sound familiar? Just saying what you can’t do shouldn't feel natural coming from your mouth or feel as foreign as a language that you do not speak. Well, there is some small group out there that is busy working on removing the (t) in can(t).

Are you one of them…?

I see the ( T ) representing time… The time needed to develop a can’t into a can! But realistically there are some things that we really are unable to do, but the sad reality is for too many of us, we will opt for adding the (t) way too soon.

How many of you have once said?

-I can’t ride a bike – but now you do!

-I can’t swim – but now jump in the deep end!

-I can’t cook - but (now) still manage to burn a pot of boiling water ( lol ). Keep trying!

-I can’t do that – but now do much-much more!

Know that I once said "I can’t manage my own podcast… I can’t edit it. I can’t record it." And then I had to edit my can't and replace it with can to arrive at episode 41 of season 3.

Ask Yourself:

  1. What has your heart been trying to say to you?
  2. What would happen if you actually listened?
  3. And, then what?

"A boat can't set sail with its anchor down... The same holds true for people anchored to fear and ignorance." - Johnnie Williams III

This episode by Johnnie Williams suggests that you starve those doubts which might contribute to the death of your personal development. So just as the quote mentions, the anchor that exists in so many people's lives must be addressed before wasting time and effort to proceed forward.

This thought encourages that we ask a tough question...

Are you sailing?

If you answered yes - that's great! But where exactly is it that you're headed. And, if you've answered no - or feel that you're not where you aspire to be. Ask yourself why this is your reality?

Be sure to check out the five F's that can become anchors if not managed correctly.

F- family
F- friends
F- finances
F- focus
F- fun

"My goals mean a lot less when there are no obstacles for me to overcome in accomplishing them." - Johnnie Williams III

What is your intention (currently)?

We often aim this question at others in protection of our safety and security when socializing with them. But it is time time really explore this question for yourself...

Intention has been defined as a thing intended – an aim or plan – also the healing process of a wound.

Would our goals be worth accomplishing if they lacked the obstacles that make achievement feel worthwhile? But, why the obstacle – what purpose do they serve… Think About It!

Obstacles serve as the lessons that fall between our desire for things and the acquisition of those things. It’d be like:

  • Sitting down for an exam for just showing up
  • Winning the heart of someone special without any special effort
  • Running a touchdown without any defense trying to stop you
  • Being selected as the winner of a one person election

Would these scenarios make you feel special?

We were all once like the worm that aspired to fly, and the only way for it to overcome the obstacle of gravity was to self-isolate itself within a cocoon, and then struggle to escape it. The butterfly could just remain a word but there’s something driving it towards the desire to fly. So, what’s your intention?

Ask Yourself:

  1. How would you define what a goal is or is not?
  2. What is one of your most challenging goals you’re working on right now?
  3. And, what are some of your obstacles?

Today’s newspaper will only provide me with yesterday’s news, leaving me on my own to navigate this day.” - Johnnie Williams III

Show me some day or one day on your calendar.
I’ve found that (even) tomorrow is nearly impossible to find. This is because they don’t really exist… well—- maybe as concepts that we use loosely, as if they make up our reality.

Is today the day you stop living your yesterday’s?

Is today the day you step beyond your comfort zone?

Is today the day you join the Thought Tribe?

For the purposes of recording this episode, I’ve done something that I haven’t done in many years. I went out and bought a newspaper. But not just any paper- nor is it a local paper. I got one that is available across our country. (2/15/2022 edition) And, as I look at its cover, it speaks of an invasion of one country upon a smaller one. The poor ratings in race relations taken from a gallop poll that I wasn’t asked about maybe you were. It speaks of hospitals overwhelmed by Covid and some of them requesting our National Guard. It speaks of a pop stars life as a dad.

But most prominently placed on the cover page is what company was crowned king of the Super Bowl commercials, as if they needed any more publicity – or maybe they – being the company, paid for this product placement as well.

No words from all that I mentioned empower you on this new day! As I venture further into the paper - headlines are beckoning my attention:

"Respect is like your passport into different communities, countries and conversations... Don't leave home without it." - Johnnie Williams III

This episode highlights the term integrity using American Express cards used as a metaphoric point of reference and context. (Click on the word integrity to access a powerful video by the late Dr. Myles Munroe)

The Green (classic) card suggests we respect nature
The Gold card suggests we practice the 'Golden Rule' of etiquette
The Platinum card suggests we level up to the 'Platinum Rule' of service
The Black card offered a transition for the host to focus attention around his lived experience

Respect may be a universal currency, but integrity is your personal reason for offering, extending and displaying respect. So never leave home without it...

Ask Yourself:

1) What types of things do you do or say to convey respect?
2) What have people done to you that felt disrespectful?
3) And, how did you respond?

Being lonely is not nearly as taxing as welcoming BAD company.” - Johnnie Williams III

Are you in love right now?

No is the wrong answer, because you are or should be in love with yourself. This episode explores why parents put their children first, where soldiers put the country first, and married couples put their spouses first.

The question is posed as to whether this philosophy of loving others first pays off or creates unnecessary expectations on those we claim to love. Maybe by putting others first and loving others first -is like us working from the outside of self back inward. Too many of us entertain the wrong company for moving forward and self-improving in this life. It is suggested that we stop avoiding the reasons why we don’t like being alone and begin to challenge these thoughts and feelings so we might hold spaced and hold out for the ideal people that should occupy time and emotion in our lives.

Ask Yourself:

  1. What are some things you think about when you are by yourself?
  2. What bothers you most about spending time alone?
  3. What have you learned about entertaining bad company?

Here is where I am, and there is where I aspire to be… But, when I get there, I’ll still be here, just without the [ t ].” - Johnnie Williams III

In this podcast I’m going to share my biggest goals and mission to complete. But I must keep on going to realize the satisfaction of accomplishing it… My wife assignment has mandated I grew mentally unlearn the mental conditioning that might prevent me from progressing forward.

My four major life goals:

1-Speak to 1 million youth (completed)

2-Donate 1 million dollars (completed)

3-Serve 1 million people online each day (in progress)

4-Earn 1 million each calendar year (currently manifesting)

We often believe things take a long time because we’ve been taught the time takes along slowly. We were showing a lot of time looks like I learned to despise the process and the patience needed. “Yet, time seems to fly when we’re having fun.” So, I am having a ball figuring out how to serve one million people daily in an effective way that helps to generate 1 million annually.

Consider my personal philosophy that the [ T ] in There = the TIME between here and here

REMEMBER: We all came from nowhere and find ourselves now-here (same word)

Ask Yourself…

-where would you say you are life?

-Where would you say you’re headed if all goes as planned?

-And, how far have you already come just to get here?

One candle has the power within it to ignite thousands more, and each of them will possess the same power.” - Johnnie Williams III

I have made a career out of giving back and helping others… But now I aim to help people – help people. I look to help the parents that need some advice with encouraging their children. I look to inspire the brilliant activist to keep growing forward towards their purpose to serve others. I look to assist small business owners exploring ways to market themselves while making a difference in the lives of their consumer base. And so on and on…

My desire to give back has been fueled by PASSION. My purpose determined what I was going to do with my life, but it was my passion that afforded me the energy to get it done!

I soon realized that when I removed the [ i ] from the word pass[i]on and moved it in front of the [ p ], I saw its purpose. And that is to provide the energy to pass on what we have come to contribute to humanity. Artists pass on unique messages via their canvases, poetry, songs, and entertainment. An amazing message that my father gave to me was - we all gain some amount of “Help Esteem” when assisting another person. He believes that a giver gets this from giving to another…

So, give something back, and ask yourself:

  1. What do you call the flame that burns inside of you?
  2. Do you believe that sometimes in life, or flame gets extinguished?
  3. Will you share one of the past 30 podcast episodes with someone you know?

Life is a series of routine acts, with some memorable moments; you just have to be fully present to benefit.” - Johnnie Williams III

Life‘s too short…

-to hold grudges against another

-to live it someone else’s way

-to wait to do what you want to do

-to get caught up being a fan of someone else and living through their life experiences and highlights

-to waste time feuding with loved ones your mind losing (so love them now)

Don’t believe that life’s too short? Just observe a life that is teetering on deaths doorstep, and you understand or better interstate and that your time is ticking, and you got less of it then you started with. So, enjoy the journey!

With every introduction comes an opportunity… So, get out there and introduce yourself to the world.” - Johnnie Williams III

We’ve all been encouraged to give our all, but that’s all we have to give. But how often do we (actually) give our all?

  • All the time
  • Some of the time
  • At no time

Me personally, I only give my all when it comes to my passion and the messages I have to pass on. When helping people help other people, I have no problem giving my all. I give my all some of the time when asked to do things by others but my others that I really don’t desire to do. At no time have I given my all when commanded to follow rigid rules imposed upon me.

I can remember my parents getting their point across with clear expectations and incentivized outcomes. They often told me to “stop doing a half-a-job" when completing tasks, and this expectation has benefited me greatly.

As I introduce myself to the world I (now) have a body of work that reflects all of my efforts, and all that I know. Therefore, I feel good when introducing myself to others.

Ask Yourself:

  1. When was the last time that you introduced yourself to someone new?
  2. What seems to hold you back from introducing yourself to others?

It is a shame that advice is so hard to give away, when there are so many people in desperate need of it.” - Johnnie Williams III

Well… ready or not, here it comes.

But, life does not have to be as tough and difficult as it has become for so many of us. If only we’d stop and think about the advice we’ve been given, the examples we have witnessed, and the questions we could or should have asked the right people.

Are You Ready (to)?

-Trust

-Forgive

-Love

-Help

-Learn

-Listen

In this episode I’ll build around these simple terms that can blossom in value when framed to serve us. You might want to spend a little time reflecting on the underlined words shame, hard, and need. Far too often the terms underlined in the quote are tied to emotions that keep us from reaching out and accepting the help and support that is available to most of us.

Ask Yourself:

1) What advice of someone close to you been trying to give you?

2) Why have you been resistant to excepting advice from them?

When I take time to judge others, I am really just taking a break from working on myself. “ - Johnnie Williams III

This Episodes team could also be seen as everybody is somebody… Like every single physical body on this earth plane is another body or piece of the divine whole. Always complete prior to our arrival Dash but as we destroy ourselves, each other, and the earth we share… We only see the reflection of our own inner struggle with ego in our outer world. A chaotic world we created with the gift of free will but now struggles to sustain peace because it was built upon "a better than you" mentality and framework.

This week's theme could also be seen as the one is one and I believe that all is of the one source… So, everyone is some part of the one source that has been named many things by the tongues of men and women around the world.

Do you feel or believe that you must become something to become someone? This is not by accident – but rather by design. We were each in doctrine and into an ego - system masked as an ecosystem. We didn’t create the ecosystem that sustains us, but we all are participating in the ego system that is killing our joy and maybe our future too.

Who do you see as someone or somebody?

-The influencer or the follower or both?
-The teacher or the student or both?
-The entrepreneur or employee or both?
-The entertainer or the fan or both?
-The politician or the voter or both?

Consider that life is like a gym, you came here to work out and work through some things, and we get stronger the more weight we move or emotional gravity we defy. So, anyone not working out or working on them self is likely people watching or judging which ties into the thought of this episode.

Ask Yourself:

1) What hurtful things have you said about another person?

2) How would you feel personally if the same things had been said about you?

This podcast episode will invite you to stare into the mirror for three minutes. The purpose for this is to generate a genuine answer to the question - What are three things I see in me and three things that others see in me. Over the years I’ve had many conversations with myself where I’ve referred to “them and/or they” a lot… but no more!

This can be very dangerous when giving so much power to the peers surrounding us. This is why the “references “peering into the mirror”, as in I see what others see in my mirror. Whose image of you are you most concerned with when:

-shoe shopping

-car shopping

When life is beating you up and you decide to hit back… Make sure it’s not your loved ones catching your punches. “ - Johnnie Williams III

With so much of our lives saddled with responsibility, I want a more focus upon our emotional responsibilities to manage and conduct ourselves in a suitable manner for cohabitation.

Statements like:
“I’m sorry” “I didn’t mean to be mean” “I was just mad" “I’ll try to do better” “I didn’t mean it" get old really fast. And love and respect shouldn’t be challenged to ignore these and many more lapses and personal accountability.
But...
-parents do it
-Siblings do it
-husbands and wives do it
-Boyfriends and girlfriends do it
-Best friends and friends do it to

How often do you engage with your loved ones in a verbally or physically aggressive manner?

Why is it that these folks (maybe we are the folks) struggle to find the confidence to face the root cause of their real frustrations?

Where does this suggest that Love should be tested in such a way for us to endure this type of treatment for the sake and preservation of it?

It’s time we better play the cards we’ve been dealt in such a way we better ACE the situations. This can be managed by:

A... awareness of our emotional struggles
C... control over the things we say to others
E... esteem to pull through instead of pulling others down.

We live in a country with major issues and many tragedies that resort from domestic violence amongst loved ones. Does that make any sense? Taking personal responsibility doesn’t mean being perfect – but it does require that you steward over your energy at all times.

ASK YOURSELF:

1) In what ways have you taking out your anger on a loved one or someone close to you?

2) Why did you choose to release your frustrations on them?

When I worked at being average, I was (unfortunately) very successful at it. Now, I am working on greatness and will see what happens.” - Johnnie Williams III

You are not defined by a race, gender, culture, nor your community; only by you, unless others are granted the authority to do so. Defining yourself is the master key to this life, because the truth is - there aren’t many pursuits as worthwhile. Unfortunately, we don’t start out as a master (key). We must undergo a process that aligns with our own unique purpose,be cautious not to get caught up in comparison to others.

I consider this to be our die cutting stage of life. So…

D-discard

I-inferior

E-emotions

to

C-cultivate

U-useful

T-transformations

Have you heard some people speak of themselves as nothing very special or unique? They say things like “I’m just…” or “people like me...” and so on and so on. This limiting thinking process must be shed like the unnecessary metal from a key being cut for a specific door. You must be refined first before your doors of opportunity will open. But opting for average is like expecting the dummy key to work like a master.

Are you willing to die to your old self to reveal your higher self? This will require that you commit to the process… The die cutting process.

Ask Yourself:

-What does being average require from you?

-What does being great require from you?

-What does greatness look like to you, and I will look associated with you?

I suggest that you practice practicing what you preach, prior to preaching it to others.” - Johnnie Williams III

Maybe you thought I meant to say practice makes perfect, but that’d be an incorrect answer. For instance, would you say that you are perfect? What about your parents or maybe your kids? And, while we’re at it let’s consider the friends that we’ve chosen, are they perfect?

This episode's podcast deals with the common philosophy on perfection that needs to be edited to focus more on improvement which we all can accomplish. I believe we live in a follow me society the exists off of whims and shallow ideas and ideologies that haven’t been perfected, challenged no well thought through. There are too many gurus in today’s saturated marketplace selling fool‘s Gold for fiat currency - that’s no longer backed by the gold standard.

Be sure to practice improving upon yourself (first) and practice what you preach to others (second) before you begin preaching it as if it were the only truth.

Do you think the following professionals (always) practice what they preach?

-politicians (Y / N)

-police (Y / N)

-parents (Y / N)

-preachers (Y / N)

-physicians (Y / N)

-professors (Y / N)

-psychiatrists (Y / N)

-pharmacists (Y / N)

My mom always told me to keep life as simple as a #2 pencil. Now, I’m paying the price for erasing her advice.” - Johnnie Williams III

Like the news we read, lots of the experiences we face or confront in life are repeated over and over.

-Relationship trouble

-Emotional stress

-Addictive situation/substances

-Decisions that must be made

All of these things, we’ve been through before and are still here – to bear witness that we are enough to get through it again. My mother was suggesting with this particular thought that we as a society can write chaos and confusion into our own life stories or something more pleasant and positive as long as we keep things simple.

In this season 2 episode, I also share a 5-point analogy using a pencil that you don’t want to miss.

  1. Shed the unnecessary things
  2. Sharpen yourself daily
  3. Don’t break what cannot be fixed
  4. You can’t erase very much
  5. Re-sharpen yourself when getting dull

You never fail, unless you fail to learn from the situation. Seek out the people that have failed and also those who have succeeded at what you wish to accomplish. Both have invaluable information for you.” - Johnnie Williams III

Do you learn from your failures? Or do you hide them or (even worse…) avoid doing anything that might result in another failure?

What if failure came with no stigma, would it be easier for us to embrace? Can you see that everything we enjoy is a byproduct of improvements made from the failed attempts that proceeded to successful outcome?

There’s a polarity that lies between success and failure that I see as progress… So how are you progressing through this life? So many of us learn in order to avoid failure – when we can also learn from it (failure) as well. The most important aspect to failure it’s not repeating what has caused the failure; but trying something new over and over until you get it right.

Something to Think About…

We all had to learn to roll over before we crawled, then we crawled (somehow) before we were able to walk. And we all failed our way there with each and every fall we endured. But we never stopped to avoid failing again. We were lured by each faiLURE to continue towards the desired outcome. So, step to the lessons that await you with each failure and see them as the prerequisites to success.

Who can you connect with that has succeeded at doing or acquiring what you desire?

Who can you connect with that has failed at doing or acquiring what you desire?

"I have realized that my path is just that; my path, and most won't be willing to walk it with me, therefore, I proceed alone." - Johnnie Williams III

I must be honest there are days when I question the path that I’ve chosen for myself. There are also the days that I have been awarded and revered for the path that I have ventured down. But, every single day I must walk my path…

In the Matrix movie, Keanu Reeves character took a journey to discover a new truth and also to rediscover himself. The main three character were given names I feel to be very insightful :

Morpheus - metamorphosis (change)

"Energy wasted on worry has never solved a problem; identify your solutions and invest energy there." - Johnnie Williams III

Some say FEAR is false evidence appearing real, while others feel it is future events artificially realized. But, I feel that FEAR is rooted in:

  • Family/Friend engagements
  • Enemies we now need to confront
  • Addictions that we use to avoid or cope
  • Reality that we cannot escape and must accept

In this podcast episode I share a common scenario of the monster in the closet that introduces my new word that replaces - the phrases of FEAR - like I'm scared... or I'm afraid for you... and please Be careful... These are just moments that cause us CONCERN. We can address our concerns, but it's difficult to deal with and grapple with the illusion that fear actually is.

Fear is a waste of vital energy and life force, and all for false evidence appearing real. I THINK what concerns most of us - is the unknown to come, that might or might not happen. I would like to suggest you address worries when they actually cause (actual) PAIN, and you can identify the PROBLEM. That's when it'd be wise to construct a PLAN that lays out a PROCESS for you to PROFIT from the life experience.

Did you know that scientist have found that our bodies function best when operating above 19htz of energy? But, while studying the impacts of different states of emotion (energy in motion), they found that FEAR lowers us to just 4htz. That is some cause for serious concern.

ASK YOURSELF:

1) What is something that has been worrying you or generates fear?
2) Have you found that worrying works for you, and is justified?
3) Have you downloaded the Think About It... app on your Apple or Android

I’ve learned that being right has never done anything for my relationships but getting it right has done everything for them.” -Johnnie Williams III

I was often told to work it out as I was growing up. Whether it be sibling issues, homework equations I needed help with, fights with friends, co-worker disagreements, or life challenges.

Are you getting it all wrong trying to be right? (Y/N)

Play with this analogy I’ve demonstrated on many stages:

Stand across from another person, with both of you facing the other. Then, each of you point towards your right and see what happens.

You’re both right!

Yet, you both pointed to the others left; demonstrating that both of you can be right and wrong at the same time. Maybe we need to be more accepting of different perspectives and focus more on finding a common ground while sharing common goals.

ASK YOURSELF:

  1. when was the last time you thought to be the one that was right – even if you were wrong?
  2. Was there ever a time you felt you want the argument – but it cost you the relationship? (if yes… was it worth it?)

None of us can outrun our past, nor can any of us catch the future. I suggest pacing yourself with the flow of today.” - Johnnie Williams III

This quote was crafted to spare you the time I have wasted toiling over a painful past that my thoughts, findings, and opinions can do nothing about. And as a visionary, I have squandered so many moments on the thought of future possibilities.

Do you know how beneficial it’ll be for you to take some deep breaths each day?

When you’re feeling stressed – or getting frustrated with life or others… Taking a breath will never fail you – but just might save you or maybe a relationship. Think about it… Life begins and ends with it, so there is power in this simple exercise of self-regulation. I know that yesterday can be addictive and tomorrow quite mesmerizing, but we only catch the flow in the present moment. So don’t miss your opportunity.

Why do we love our past so much?

And… How is it the future offers us so much hope?

Maybe the fact that many believe our future is shaped by it… the past that is. But I find that to be untrue. You might respectfully disagree, but I believe that we live in, and exist in a vacuum comprised of only (right) now. So, all there is- is the present that’s often wasted on reliving our past or looking beyond our present.

People don’t fall in love; they fall in action – and that love will fade as your actions turn to in-action.” - Johnnie Williams III

We must work for it… (Love that is) Some of the ways in which I try to display L.O.V.E. is to:

L. listen to them

O. offer my respect

V. value who they are

E. encourage they grow

There are no shortcuts to the real thing with the right one for you. So, stop rushing an emotion that requires time and experiences. Love is not what it’s often portrayed as… It might be cultivated in the good times, but it truly reveals its presence in the not so good times. The problem may be that most of us have love activation habits – but not the type of habits to sustain the love we've generated by our initial actions.

Many of us were never taught about the five love languages and without this knowledge we head out into the world of relationships seeking what we clearly cannot define for ourselves. For love does it make one hole, but often reveals the holes that one is safe to reveal. With awareness, of how you give love and wish to receive it back will serve you very well in the long run. And, to truly wrap your hand around someone you love you need not only focus on their love language a preference nor your own; you must deliver love in each of the five ways. The truest testament of one’s love is the labor of efforts to improve in areas where were the weakest.

The Five LOVE Languages:

  1. Words of affirmation
  2. Quality time
  3. Acts of service
  4. Gifts
  5. Physical touch

Forget about bringing something to the table… Today, winners are putting something on the plate.” - Johnnie Williams III

Ask yourself... Is it your time?

Ask yourself... Is this going to be your year?

I want you to win – but not at the expense of someone else having to lose. We all win each and every time one of us improves something about ourselves (our inner selves - that is). The outer more cosmetic changes only serve to change perspective, but not the overall collective frequency for which and of which we all contribute.

So… It’s time to win!

This week's thought (see quote) invites you to do more than just show up to the workforce promoting your intelligence or the fact that you might be smart. Rather, it is suggesting that you become a creator of something that is tangible and the necessary. Can you create a product, or a program? Better yet, how about generating more profit for yourself or your business, or someone else’s company for whom you work for.

Today, winning is requiring a lot more than just basic knowledge and education. Winners are the folks that are able to apply what all they know and quickly gain new skills that can be applied to continuously add value.

Have you been preparing yourself for this moment? If yes then it’s time to win.

“Don’t fall for the illusion of wealth… Nice things represent the money we HAD, not the money we HAVE.” - Johnnie Williams III

Why is it so difficult to keep life simple? Maybe it’s because they (the industry) made the “look of wealth and success” available to consumers to purchase or finance. But this illusion we often craft and buy into, only make the wealthy-wealthier.

It’s like chasing the wind; you’ll never catch up to it! Nor will you become rich by spending to look like you already are.

Think About It…

Wants and needs must be deciphered between because we’ve been CONditioned to want more and want it now. Maybe it was the television that is re-shaped our vision and perspective with programming that is grooming the American mind like a dull weapon that takes time to cut to the chase. One show at a time and one commercial at a time (too).

We didn’t want a new washer and dryer until we saw them on the tell lies to our vision – Think About It…

Do we really need it, or do we just really - really want it? And, for how long do we really want it (or them) once we’ve gotten it, or been with them? Our needs don’t change as fast as our once shift from one thing to the next. Maybe that’s why we always want to make more money, and maybe we just need to save more of what we already have.

  • the inner battles w/self

We are often lured into battles over:

Relationship issues, political differences, our children's issues, acts of disrespect, unmet desires, financial spending, family drama, lack of compromise, and misunderstandings with others.

If you think about it…we are energy, and each battle robs us of that - that we truly are (which is energy). Who has time to fight their personal battles when there’s always an outer battle enticing us to engage our energy?

So many of us struggle with holding onto the wrong relationships for too long and fail to let them go before getting hurt. This is often because we struggle with these 4 common influences:

  1. The peers we’ve allowed to negatively influence us and our decisions.
  2. The problems that we create for ourselves and/or inherit from others.
  3. The pressures we all struggle with to meet the challenges of life and/or the expectations of others.
  4. The pride that we apply in very dysfunctional ways that doesn’t benefit us; but rather opposes our forward progress.

ASK YOURSELF:

Was there a time that this was your experience?

How did you come to the decision to finally let go?

You should only live life looking forward… Because, looking back at yesterday while experiencing today is backwards living.” - Johnnie Williams III

It sounds obvious – so why am I saying or suggesting to live while living?

Are you living fully?

Are you existing barely?

Are you truly alive?

Are you holding your breath?

Are you in a state of fear?

Are you surviving till the weekend?

We need to take our minds out of reverse and drive forward…beyond the speed bumps and fender benders of our past. This is why the clock ticks forward… It’s suggesting the most logical direction and clear suggestion for us to follow.

So, keep going and keep growing.

This episode's theme is a reminder that we have all come from nowhere and now find ourselves now here so we should live fully before returning back to nowhere from which we have come. Just think of how unnatural it is for us to live out our today’s crippled by the experiences of yesterday. It’s like drinking yesterday’s coffee, or a flat soda. Somethings are just better experienced fresh – just like today!

However, there is science that supports why we struggle with this:

95% of our day is managed by our subconscious mind and just 5% is spent conscious and creatively aware. Our minds our often fully programmed by the age of 7, which is why it’s been mentioned…

“Give us your nations children till the age of seven and we will shape your entire society.”

Now think:

  • Seven days of creation
  • Seven chakras
  • Seven hermetic principles

This is a number representing completion. Therefore, there are seven action items I’d like to suggest you complete each day until it becomes habit (subconscious).

1 - start the day with 7 deep breaths

2 - while bathing or showering consider 7 things you’re grateful for

3 - drink 7 cups of pure water

4 - hug at least one person for 7 seconds

5 - take a walk (move around for more than 7 minutes)

6 - call or message a loved one who brings you joy

7 - end the day with 7 deep breaths (release it and prepare to welcome new today)

ASK YOURSELF:

What have you been through that hijacks your attention?

What reminder can you create to remain focused on the present day and moment?

“Inspiring others to help others is my strategic plan for changing this crazy world. It all adds up… 1+1+1 = change”. - Johnnie Williams III

This quote was created to remind us all that change will require we add up all of our efforts to equate to a necessary shift. Because we are the problem that needs solving...and we are the solution for solving the (present) problem.

The theme and quote are an interesting combination about relational collaborations and change. As we could not pick our parental partners, nor our family partners neither, so picking good partners should go without saying. But here I am saying it!

Think about the type of PEOPLE you need around you - because:

People

Empower

Or

People

Limit

Each Other

So, it's time that you DEFINE what does a better world look like to you. Start by REFINING the things you say or do to improve the world, helping to make it better. But, you must ALIGN with a tribe of people that have a similar vision as you, and RESIGN from any dysfunctional partnerships that'll keep you from growing and moving forward.

Watch out for the human parasites who:

1) invade upon your time -

2) draw upon your resources - and -

3) determine or dictate your behavior.

I would never pick a team of people to help me lose on the basketball court. But when lacking awareness in past — I am guilty of leaving the door to my inner circle unlocked. I proceeded into partnerships unguarded, thinking that I could ENCOURAGE the best out of anyone and that has proven to be wrong and has taken much time and patience to get things back right.

I never stopped to ask mySELF:

Who am I (really) looking for and why am I looking for them?

How will they make it onto my team and what will they contribute as a teammate?

When (and why) will I remove them from my team?

I am forever an optimist that remains rooted in reality and grounded by the gravity of what is… But I think in order for the people to see a better world, we must partner with one another and work at it and on it together.

“How is it that so many conversations invite truth, then make the person arriving with it feel so unwelcome?” Johnnie Williams III

This theme and Thought are a simple and powerful:

Suggestion - Watch your mouth…. Because your words and thoughts hold extreme power.

Question - Why is a truth often unwelcomed? Is it because the lie may contain some benefits?

Let’s make this quote and theme relevant to our current times….

"Watch Your Mouth Johnnie Williams"or the social platforms we have come to utilize and trust will take down your content or maybe demonetize your pages. And, when we finally get some thought stirring information through the AI defense system, the responses go cold the phone lines go silent and the email inbox remains empty. This leaves me with the question…

Who really wants to truth?

Let's focus on TRUTH or The Real U (or universe) That’s Hidden.

  • Accept It
  • Tell It
  • Find It
  • Speak It

The thought and theme go together like a right and left hand.

On one hand you must watch what you say to yourself or about yourself - because - you’ll be right!

On the other hand you need to beware or be aware of what you share; and with who- you share your truth -or- the truth with. They may not want it!!!

So many of us rely upon mass media as our go to source for truth. But what makes this very interesting and concerning to me, is the etymology and roots of origin for the word media and its plural designation as medium (The intervening substance through which impressions are conveyed to the senses or force acts on objects at a distance.).

Are we the objects? Are we being silenced by those pushing a solo media narrative?

"Life is a lot like an airline flight... You can only carry along light baggage and you must pay extra for an upgraded seat." Johnnie Williams

I believe that we all carry different types of baggage, but there is a price to pay when taking it onto a plane and for carrying it along in life. We will (either) pay a toll in our health or in the accumulating costs of various coping methods that offer illusions of escape or relief.

So many of us take our issues right along with us wherever we go, or are going. We allow yesterday to rain down, despite today's sunshine. We have got to STOP doing this or allowing others to do it to us.

ENJOY = inner JOY and the JOURNEY has JOY within it

[ JOY ] Think About It...

Who takes it from you

What is it to you

Where can you find it

When did you lose it

Why can't you keep it

How can you restore it

Don't rob yourself of your own joy, trying to decipher whether your glass is half empty or half full. Celebrate the fact that there's something in the cup!!!

And, whether you're carrying a wallet or purse full of issues, remember that it's not about what JOY awaits you, but the joy that is presently around you to access right now. So ask yourself:

  • What issue are you carrying around that is weighing you down?

  • How can you unpack or unload some of your emotional weight?

  • And, how will this pay off for you?

"We all make mistakes; I'd just make sure they're new ones." Johnnie Williams III

When you become consciously aware of how unaware YOU have been, you will recognize that many mistakes that are repeated are rooted in subconscious habits... And, (5) common mistakes we often make:

1) Speaking without thinking

2) Repeating negative self-affirmations

3) Saying yes when we need to say "NO"

4) Spending money that we don't have yet or anymore

5) Failing to value the most invaluable people in our lives

We can (actually) fail forward when we learn from our mistakes and then fail to repeat them over and over again. So remember that, "None of us can outrun our past mistakes, nor catch our future of possibilities; so pace yourself with the flow of this TODAY." - JW

Time is a man-made concept that I see as one of our most creative - creations. And, it is my greatest resource, and this weeks word to focus upon. Stop wasting it, so you can get paid for it; because none of us can pause it. When we watch our ACTIONS and manage our reACTIONS, we stand to benefit from (potential) monetary transACTIONS.

Ask Yourself:

  • What is your most recent mistake that had consequences?

  • How will you handle the situation the next time around?

  • Who can you save from making it?

One of the best ways that I have found for passing along the wisdom gained from my many mistakes is to offer engaging lectures that inform others and publish books that get the tribe in the habit of thinking.

"Your teachers can help you find an answer... But only your heart can help you find a purpose." Johnnie Williams III

I can remember (long ago) being asked by a young boy from Detroit, Michigan...

Why are you here?

Can we really trust you?

Or - are you going to leave and not come back too?

His heartfelt question activated the passion in me and touched my heart, as this moment offered me the opportunity to embrace my purpose. And, I am still working from those three questions to this day. I still ask myself each of them prior to delving into any new endeavors that focus upon service to others.

The word to focus upon with this thought and theme is [Follow].

I would like to encourage you to wrap your mind around this moment and let your heart lead you to where you are challenged to step in or step up. I believe that in this moment, and on this day, my purpose is to be right where I am- writing this blog recap of The Think About It... podcast #6. But, 7 years ago my purpose was to just catch this thought and write it down so that (today) we can dialogue about its meaning. I strongly feel that our purpose for living is to LIVE, and our purpose evolves with the changing moments. So, the theme, Follow Your Purpose is suggesting that you grasp this moment to serve your SELF and others.

Over the years my concept of purpose has broadened from thinking...

  • It had to be something huge.

  • It had to sound big to others.

  • It is no way that it can be something simple.

I was left to figure out such a deep concept on my own. And, many of the dictionary definitions of the word offer vague analogies to illuminate such a powerful concept. So maybe you should define it for yourself, and operate from that definition.

Here's my definition:

P present moments wrapped in

U unique opportunities to serve a

R role of

P prominence in

O our

S society - that supports

E evolution individually and collectively

3 Questions I'd like to ask you:

1) What is your heart telling you to do with your life?

2) What will you do to provide yourself the time to find your answer?

3) And, once you have found it- what will be your next step?

Thank you again for taking the time to read my podcast comments and be inspired to download the Think About It... daily thought app on either Apple or Android devices.

Silence allows me to coexist with anyone, but communication allows for a meaningful relationship to grow.” - Johnnie Williams III -

To be open and honest with the Tribe… this theme and thought take me back to my frustrations with a past relationship. I wasn’t frustrated because love was lacking. I was upset because our lack of communication prohibited a deeper connection from growing, and silence allowed for years of co-existence.

The truth was:
-I’d never get back the time and I hoped that time would somehow fix what was wrong.

-I felt very alone inside of my beautiful home - shared with others.

-I eventually had to let go because we weren’t a good fit for a lifetime commitment.

It hurt when I finally faced the truth (initially), but I am here today – happy as can be. I’m blessed with the most amazing partner for me in taleenSofee.com . I received this advice and it helped during my transition. It was to be respectful, but understand that I was not responsible for how others might struggle with my truth. The key word to focus on from this thought is [silence]. It has a purpose and should be used wisely, but it does not fix anything and often reveals that something could be wrong.

We find ourselves in a very noisy world that appears in some ways to be getting even worse. But some of our societal issues exist because of the silence. A lot of good people sitting back and watching as time passes, failing to step forward and step up to say something.

  • We need to speak our truth (respectfully)
  • We need to except the truth even when it’s ugly
  • We need to tell the truth and stop living the lies

“The truth hurts a lot less when you decide to set it free…” - Johnnie Williams

Ask Yourself:
Why does the truth hurt?

Who will your true hurt the most?

Do we even seek the truth anymore?

"Today I took my own advice, and it worked! You should try listening to your inner voice more often." - Johnnie Williams III -

I have often told students and coaching clients to write down the ideas and thoughts that come while #caughtinthought - but I didn't always do what I was suggesting. So, as this thought came to mind, I decided (8 years ago) to begin writing down all the crafty and insightful phrases and thoughts as they would come. And they would come to me at the oddest times which often required that I quickly text myself so that I wouldn't forget them. And, this went on for some time.

Wondering what I should do with them, I sat and thought about the advice I'd give to someone else in a similar situation; and then it came to me that I should create a @JohnnieTalks Twitter account for my thoughts. At the time, I only had about 13 thought provoking phrases, but that has now grown into more than 1,111 of my own (original) statements under the brand Think About It... Something inside of me suggested that I write my thoughts down - then I felt it might be wise to post them for others to see. Now you can see where a simple thought (here and there) has taken me, and how a brand has emerged from this one decision.

  • I believe that we all have this deep inner knowing that often gets ignored because we seek others advice which might indicate - we are lacking confidence in our owninnerstanding (an understanding).

  • Sometimes we seek validation for our thoughts and ideas from those we know, trust and follow.

  • What I have found for myself is that I often knew what was best for me - or what I should do (all along).

  • First, you must identify YOUR voice from amongst all the outer noise in the background, which is filled with distractions.

  • I used to always say to myself... "The little birdie in my ear was right, and tried to warn me." But, too often failed to listen to my own discernment and inner wisdom, and suggest that you not fail to follow your own higher self.

The key word from this post that I want YOU to focus upon is beLIEve. For what you believe is what you get. I believed that my simple thoughts would become something one day and here they are, bringing you and other Thought Tribe members to this very blog. But, early on I mismanaged my BELIEFS by thinking that my first book of thoughts was not good enough to publish, because family and friends didn't read or offer feedback on the completed manuscript. So this gem sat on the shelf for 7 yrs until 2020, when so many of us found ourselves soul searching during the great shutdown. It was my own thoughts that held me together and inspired me to pivot back to my writing, since my public speaking career had suddenly slammed on brakes.

3 bits of advice that I have come up with for mySELF to follow are:

1) Finish what you start (this blog is included in that).

2) Mind your mind; meaning your mental health and inner dialogue or SELF talk.

3) Think prior to doing anything, because that act of just doing without thinking is base more in subconscious programming that might be hardwired to direct you straight into a past problem.

We'd like to say that it is our intention to create a Thought Tribe where YOU and others can feel safe to express varying viewpoints respectfully. We promise to celebrate your unique perspectives.

"My dreams flourish at night, then fade in the reality of the daylight, so now I allow myself time to daydream." - Johnnie Williams III -

This thought was the most accurate portrayal of how I have operated for years and years. I believe our minds are like 3D printers that can actually manifest nearly anything into existence. But, this personal power often produces more destructive or chaotic realities for good people that have forgotten that they have forgot. Unfortunately, so many of our dreams and visions fade as we open our eyes each mourning, which serves as the death of ideas that might have set us free.

It is in the dream state that our thoughts are FREE, until we re-awaken back into this assimilation we call life. So my day dreams serve as a way for me to tap back into this creativity which aids the alchemic ability to change anything bad to good. I am a Pisces, born on 3/15/72 (the Ides of March). I have always been a dreamer, but I have worked hard to place frameworks around my concepts and constructs that support their implementation. Some have said that we process nearly 60-80,000 thoughts per day, which reflects our inner abundance or poverty based upon their vibrational frequency.

My ideas seem endless and even limitless at times and that has drawn my attention to the work of Nikola Tesla and his 369 philosophy. The abundance of energy that can be accessed is just like the creative thoughts that we can tap into as well. But, on one of my moments #caughtINthought I realized that my birthdate summed to 369:

March = 3

15th Day (1+5) = 6

72nd Year (7+2) = 9

or you can just take the month (3) and add it to the sum of the 15th day (6) and it = 9

Why do I share this with YOU?

Because, when I was chastised for day-thinking to often as a child; no one knew that I was pondering the American Dream concept. What I saw, that I hope you see is the "I CAN" nestled within the word American. This was very liberating for me as a young Afr(ican) Amer(ican). Seeing that I can... 2 times within my racial classification was very empowering. So, the historical narrative often discussed in His-Story class no longer shackled my mind or mindset to low vibrational thoughts of shame and lack.

And, that was the beginning of the creation of the Johnnie E. Williams, I have become. Please consider subscribing to my podcast and helping to pollinate the positive message by sharing it with at least 1 person. I hope to see you in The Thought Tribe sharing your opinions and aiding the dialogue.
