Let's talk about real issues that affect us in the 903. We are sick and tired of being sick and tired by what the corporate media and DC politicians are doing and how they are trying to control how we must think and how we must vote. There are obvious facts right in front of our faces, but we are being told "Don't believe with your eyes; rather trust what I say." The Inconvenient Truth in the 903 podcast is dedicated to open dialogue to discuss real issues that affect our families and our communities.

As we approach record gas prices, people are hurting all across the U.S. and yet nothing is being done to solve the crisis. While the mainstream media keeps telling us that politicians and the White House are doing everything they can to solve this crisis and get gas prices under control, it's still increasing every day as well as everything that effects our lives. Why is there such a need for foreign oil when we got the very thing we need under our feet? Why do we keep buying from one country that hates us to the next and think that will continue to solve our problem? Let's have a conversation about it.
As a parent of 3 biracial children, ages 9, 7 and 5, each of my children has been attacked and targeted by other children who set their sites on them to cause harm. Have you had a child go through the same thing? How did your school handle the situation? In each of my children's situations we weren't informed until after school was over and then most of the times conversations with the principal or teacher never happened. How are we, as parents, supposed to know our children are safe at school? Is there something happening at school where the teachers aren't following protocols or are they and the "next step" doesn't take place by the higher ups? Let's have a conversation about it.
Let's get something straight....dirty politics has no business in being in politics. Why can't a candidate run on their own merit and character? Shouldn't that speak for itself? Why does a candidate feel the need to tear their opponent down and build theirselves up to look like the best candidate? We all know at the end of the day these candidates who throw mud at each other will go out to dinner for laughs. Let's have an open conversation about dirty politics.
Today's show highlights a few people from black history that have been written out of most history books. And their impact of what they did years ago still impact generations since. It's deeper than that though. There is history from all cultures that's being written out of history books and not being talked about or even recognized. Let's have an open conversation about it.

Dr. Khalilah Comacho-Ali, the widow of Muhummed Ali, was the keynote speaker for the Texas African American Museum inaugural fundraiser and Dr. Ali surprised the whole event by donating $1 million to the museum. Not only was her donation a blessing, her speech was really impactful on all who attended. Her words resonate with the Inconvenient Truth in the 903 podcast and here are a few take aways from this historic event.
Smith County resident, mother, grandmother and activist Delia Gray comes on to the show to have an open conversation about the word Colored in the NAACP organization name. As an African American woman herself, she finds the word offensive and have even gone to the local chapter in Tyler, TX as well as the national chapter in Baltimore, MD wanting to have an open discussion about possibly changing or taking the word Colored from NAACP. Hector Garza is Co-Deputy Chair of the Smith County Democratic Party as well as Precinct Chair 79 also for the Democratic Party.
