Who’s buying and selling in this market?
Although the number of buyers and sellers, mortgage rates, home prices, etc., have changed (and will continue to change), we still see people out there making moves.
In our most recent months, we have had many clients move to Portland to be near family or for jobs. We’ve also worked with several investors who actively stay looking for properties. Third, we’ve worked with families with changing dynamics such as needing a multigenerational home, aging parents who are downsizing, marriage, and divorce.
In this episode, we will talk about navigating buying or selling in this market, our process that is customized to where you are in life, and how to remember that you are “dating the rate” and can refinance when rates change. The National Association of Realtors (NAR) as well as other larger real estate companies are being sued and have been placed with a $1.8 Billion judgement.
The question in play is on the transparency of the Real Estate industry and how Buyer’s Agents get paid.

Baby boomers are now the most significant demographic buying and selling homes. Although we are now seeing that this demographic is much more active, traveling, exercising, etc., we are seeing those around 75ish transitioning themselves or parents in this generation of their homes.
In this episode, we will discuss the transition to aging in place and what that can look like for different families. I’ll talk about how my certification, training, and passion as a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) can help with this transition.
This designation allows me to know all of the questions to ask, how to have those hard conversations, and the resources we have available to help the transition be as smooth and stress-free as possible.

How many hats do you wear?
Sometimes we feel like Dr. Seuss with our hats stacking so tall! We have personal and work hats. The personal ones are pretty self-explanatory, mom, husband, father, wife, friend, etc. but sometimes the hats we wear as Realtors are not always so evident.
