So, Gary, are there reservations when you go on a first date? Apparently, a few.

On this episode of Men Talking Frankly, Traci & George talk with Gary who joins them to discuss what he’s wary about when it comes to dating. What do we look out for? Everyone suffers from nerves on a first date, but let’s be authentic.

Then they explore some of the new vernacular – well new to some of us more seasoned punters:

Ghosting – is that really new, or is it social media’s attempt to rebrand what we use to say, …” They’re just not into you!” Hear what Gary has to say about this.

Then on a more serious note, even though we tend to focus our discussions at the more lighthearted end of the spectrum, on occasion we veer into more serious territory, such as …. ‘Angel Shots’ and what’s it all about.

Join Traci & George in a lighthearted & some not-so-lighthearted conversation with Gary, about first dates and what to be mindful of.

Good, bad, safe, a sea of bad photos - where do we start.

Whilst we have only dedicated one episode to online dating thus far, I am sure we will revisit this again down track.

However, on this episode Traci &George chat with their guest Gary, about his experiences with online dating and what more would we like to know about someone, other than just a photo which likely leads to random Likes and Dislikes?

Gary finds some of the brief and on occasion, blunt comments devoid of effort, such as: “Don’t just ask me what my weekend was like. It was good thanks.” Or, “What’s your favourite movie?” … very ho-hum. So, stop with the cliches – of course we all like good food and sex!

Can you assess values or personality, when do you actually get face-to-face, how much time do you waste?

So, if you choose not to go online, where do you meet a potential partner. Well, at Partenaire Introductions, we are pretty sure we know the answer.

In the meantime, stop scrolling through those endless images and join Traci & George as they have a lighthearted conversation about online dating – warts and all.

Dr Anthony joins us again this week on Men Talking Frankly to discuss how he coped after divorce.

Divorce and the separation that follows, are always stressful. What is important though, is what we learn. Does it get easier as you get older? Do we develop coping mechanisms post-relationship, or as the doctor suggested, immerse ourselves in our work …..which may be a distraction rather than a coping mechanism.

We ask, what do you wish you had been told about the opposite sex when you were younger? With the benefit of hindsight, Anthony tells us not to look for perfection.

Join Traci & George, along with Anthony for another candid discussion.

How much of our waking hours do we spend thinking about our love interest? Is it really 85% and if so, how much time does that leave to do anything else!

On this episode of Men Talking Frankly, Traci & George talk with Gary about the concept of love and he candidly talks about his first time he fell in love. We also explore what butterflies mean to a guy. Whilst some may define a racing heartbeat as a symptom of falling in love, Gary has a more pragmatic view.

Then in a world of swipe left or swipe right, you might just be surprised as to what our guest has to say about one-night stands. Romance is not dead. There are still gentlemen and true romantics out there. There may even be Twin Flames, albeit I am guessing there may be a few sceptics on this podcast.

We also learn the pressures that family may put on us, particularly if you have European parents like Gary. He tells us that his mother just wants to see him married. He says she has reached the point that she’d be happy if he brought home an East German weight lifter as his bride – no pressure! Regardless, Gary says the wedding invitations will come from his parents.

We look forward to being one of the 500 guests! It will be an Italian wedding after all.

Join Traci & George in a lighthearted conversation about the Concept of Love. Amore.

At times we all crave our own personal space, but cohabitating with your ex!

On this episode of Men Talking Frankly, Traci & George talk with Richard about his experience cohabitating with his ex-wife. In short, he wouldn’t suggest it. The Antarctic was warmer than his household whilst cohabitating!

Not surprisingly, complications arose….however in the interest of all parties, he had to suck it up. Pretty sure they all did.

The conversation opens up to explore sleepovers, ambiguous loss and how to handle sexual urges in the middle of the night! Well maybe not in Richard’s case.

Join us on Men Talking Frankly, when Richard does exactly that.

This week Traci & George chat to Simon, the ‘hunter/gatherer’…about the term 'provider'. He brings a unique perspective! The definition of provider has become too narrow and today it means so much more.

Women are still asking themselves, “Can we have it all?”, ..... but what about men….. can men have it all? And as we get older, do we really think about our partners providing for us?

This week on Men Talking Frankly, Traci & George chat to Anthony, who is a renowned medical professional.

We discuss whether or not we can change our behaviour and Anthony says, yes, we can. Just as he has learnt to do with each new relationship… and by his own admission, he has had a few.

We do have to compromise to make our relationships work and even set goals to change our behaviour. What can we do better to improve our relationships?

Join Traci & George in conversation with Anthony to find out, as he shares his professional opinion, along with a personal perspective.

Courting… remember that wonderful time in the early stages of a relationship when a special someone is trying their hardest to sweep you off your feet.

This week on Men Talking Frankly, Traci & George talk with Gary, a true romantic Italian who reminds us of courting etiquette. It’s not always smooth sailing though, as Gary tells the story about his failed attempt to ‘woo’ a woman… when his romantic gestures came perilously close to being misconstrued as stalking!... “Mi dispiace, signorina!”

We are also reminded of the pent-up sexual energy after enduring lockdowns, as well as learning a new term – fencing - and that doesn’t mean as a combat sport!

Another topic on the table this week is – checklists. Do they exist and if so, is the criteria impossible to live up to, as well as red flags – those early warning signals that in hindsight may have saved both time and heartache.

Join Traci & George, as they are entertained and courted by possibly our most romantic guest thus far. Sono innamorato.

This week Men Talking Frankly might get a little uncomfortable as we talk with Anthony about intimacy…..what it means to him and to men generally. Is it just sex, or can it be about honesty and affection? We will find out what Anthony thinks, which includes the medical confirmation that sex, is in fact, good for your health.

Our guest this week is a doctor, so whilst asking personal questions is familiar territory, on this occasion we have turned the tables on Dr. Anthony, who now finds himself on the receiving end.

We posed a number of questions to the doctor, including;

Do all blokes see intimacy as just being physical, or is there more to it?

Do men hold back because they don’t want to reveal their own vulnerabilities?

..... and then we ask, “What kills intimacy?” ….. as Anthony exhales!

Join Traci & George in a lighthearted conversation, which on occasion has Anthony wishing, he was in the other seat!

When do men become intimate in a new relationship,
That men experience the same emotions getting ready for a date, and
Going with the flow.

We also hear from Jack and George about controlling your ‘butterflies’. Don’t put timeframes on early relationships…maybe it’s just a slow burn.

This week Traci & George chat with Simon - not your everyday guy next door. Rather a former elite athlete who these days lives ‘off the grid’ – quite literally. We talk with him about equality in relationships, sharing values and being on the same pathway. We discuss ‘gaslighting’, together with positive reinforcements and even touch on ‘Classic Conditioning’ developed by Pavlov’s Dog.

Simon talks about how he feels about sharing finances - he reckons he’s ‘stupid’! Maybe or maybe, he thinks money gets in the way of a successful relationship.

This week’s episode is all about love and romance as you get older. Our guest, a supremely fit guy in his early 60’s, suggests if we stay fit and healthy, we can then reap the benefits such as more chances of falling hard and fast in love. We learn men’s wants and desires don’t change as they get older.

We also ask, does your heart still miss a beat when your partner walks in the room. Then on a more intimate level, our guest talks about meeting his new partner after sadly losing his wife and how living with his new partners’ children was a learning experience.

This week Traci & George chat to Simon about listening – which Simon says he is happy to do…when he is interested in the subject! He also says he has perfected the art of ‘looking like he is listening’ – sound familiar.

Like many men, he admits there are times when he struggles to tune in, particularly when he is doing something else. Yep, you’ve got it. Men and multi-tasking! We hear that when women start a conversation with “I’ve been thinking…”…..blokes may be in for a long haul!

On a more serious note, we discuss Simon’s experience coaching male & female athletes and is there a difference in style required? Whatever Simon says, by his own admission, he is very economical with his words.

In this week’s episode of Men Talking Frankly, we chat to our co-host George and our guest Kev about; Can men pick up signals from women or do women pick up nuances more readily? All she wanted was a foot massage – or was it!
