It's time to get real, raw, and vulnerable!
In this episode, I share the next level I am reaching for and the internal "challenges" that are cropping up as I step into it. Overwhelm is a big one. Reflecting on my feelings, I realized this overwhelm wasn't due to the busyness of my schedule or the demands of my responsibilities. Instead, it stemmed from my internal dialogue. I kept telling myself that I wasn't doing enough, that what I was doing wasn’t enough, and that I needed to be doing more. This constant pressure and self-criticism fueled my feelings of overwhelm and stress. Newsflash: this is an indication of my expansion! If you can relate and want to more seamlessly step into your next level, this episode is for you!

One of the most common questions I get asked is centered around this idea of: how do you believe in yourself when you're just starting out? How do you believe in yourself when you're taking that first step? Maybe it's stepping outside of corporate; maybe it's building your business; maybe it's creating your first design and putting it out on the world... how do you maintain this belief in inner solidity in yourself? How do you deal with this dichotomy of wanting to do something and wanting to go after the more you feel called to at the same time, struggling to believe "Is this really going to work for me? Can I really do this? Can I really achieve the amazing vision that I have for myself?"

We all have value and purpose! As big dreamers and high achievers, we are naturally keen on fulfilling our purpose and leaving our mark on the world; it is a deeper inner knowing that we are called to do more, have more, and be more.

In this episode, special guest, Babs Faseesin, a Chief Strategy Officer who earned his PhD and is the author of "Cracking the Life Code," shares some of the internal obstacles that have hindered him from seeing his true value: Imposter Syndrome, the battle for authenticity and acceptance, going against his parent's will to pursue his calling, and others.

What happens when you judge, criticize, or blame yourself for not getting it right sooner or not hitting your goals by the date you set? These can certainly be hard to go through. But do they have to be?

Welcome to Seeing Your Inner Brilliance - the podcast that is here to continually point you to the truth that the key is inside of you, it’s your inner brilliance. And that key is also the portal to unlocking your very own big dream.
If you find yourself feeling a little unmotivated, maybe you don’t feel 100% today or you could just use a good pick me up, you’re in for a treat with today’s episode.
And, if you are feeling that way, I really acknowledge you for showing up and anchoring in.
As a big dreamer, it’s easy to get bogged down in the daily grind and the minutiae of the small details we have to be involved in to build our dream. At times, this can even move into debilitating resistance, overwhelming doubts, or even the so well known yet no so popular rabbit hole.
There’s no doubt that during these times, your confidence is going to be tested. You may wonder if you’re cut out for this or if all this effort is worth it.
No matter where you are today and how you’re feeling, I’m so glad you’re here. Full disclosure, I was having one of those days too when I recorded this episode with our special guest and fellow big dreamer, Hashondra Jernigan. She’s a Certified Life Coach who openly shares how overthinking has been one of her biggest obstacles, Motivational Speaker, Author, Singer-songwriter, Founder of the Pink Group, and Co-owner of Shonie’s Braids. See, she’s just like us… on a mission to do it all and be all she can be in this world!
This conversation was exactly what I needed to remember who I am, the mission I'm here to do, and why I'm here to do it. I have no doubt that this episode will leave you feeling the very same way.
Press play now.
And then, be sure to access Hashondra's book, Unattached - the final season.

Welcome to Seeing Your Inner Brilliance - the podcast does just that it helps you truly see yourself because seeing yourself is your inherent power. When we truly see ourselves for who we really are, it allows us to be ourselves, and then we can bring the fullness of who we are into our calling and everything we do.
One thing is true: us, big dreamers encounter a lot of stuff along the way that can spin us for a loop. It comes with the territory. We are going to encounter upper limits as we rise into our next level of success, doubts are going to resurface or maybe even come to surface for the first time, thoughts that we have never even had before are going to be triggered inside of us, and, many times, they can slap us in the face leaving us debilitated from being able to move forward.
I don’t mention this to discourage you or shame you in any way. No, it is highlighting the paradoxical beauty that big dreamers go through because we're the ones willing to push our limits to go beyond what our mind can fathom, to go beyond the expectations and limitations that perhaps have been put upon us, to go beyond what we originally believed was possible for ourselves. This is a result and a byproduct of our coming into that scale. And with each level we climb, we are inevitably going to encounter new patterns, new beliefs, new doubts, new fears, new insecurities, and new barriers that we have to migrate and navigate through in order to get to the other side.
Why? Because we cannot become who we want to be… We cannot get to where we want to go by remaining who we are and where we are. And so these doubts, fears, insecurities, and barriers that arise within us are windows of opportunity for us to clear, work through, and heal from because we cannot take the same chains of this season into the next season, especially when we are looking to grow and expand at the magnitude at which we are looking to go. So these barriers are going to be inevitable, internally and externally. They physically manifest themselves in all different ways.
In today's episode, I chat with my friend Cassandra about some particular barriers that she’s encountered: unknowingly being stuck, comparison to name a couple, and we talk about some external barriers she has faced: racial discrimination and the glass ceiling. Cassandra is a Speaker, Author, and Mentor. She’s a former VP of a Fortune 500 Company who is no stranger to self sabotage and self neglect. So buckle up for this potent and powerful episode as Cassandra shares with us her story and how she worked through these barriers. The overall message I want to leave you with is that yes, we will encounter these internal and external barriers, and at the same time, we can break through them, we can rise above them, we can work through them, we can overcome them in a way to where they will not hold us back or they will not keep us playing small and we can learn how to work and move with them so they are not debilitators of our success and impact, but rather, spring boards of it.
Tune in now to this powerful conversation.

If you feel a nudge on your heart to do more than what you're currently doing or if you are in the beginning stages of pursuing your dreams and desires, this episode is for you!
Like so many other big dreamers, you've done the brave work of realizing that you want more and have claimed it. Unfortunately though, any doubts or obstacles don’t magically go away once you start walking down this new path. In fact, oftentimes, they get louder and more intense.
That's why in this episode, together with my friend Kim Laughlin, we focus on the confidence and courage it takes to go against your own grain and continue down the path you know in your heart you are called for.
Kim, owner of Cultural Apex Coaching and with having two decades of experience in HR, and I both share our journeys, and, through our experiences, we talk about some things that helped us solidify our belief and resolve that we were going to pursue the dreams that were different from the ones we originally paved for ourselves.
From my personal and professional experience, solidifying our belief in ourselves is the ticket to “successfully” staying on this new path. If we don’t believe in ourselves and anchored into who we are and what we want, then we are going to stumble, fall, wobble, and even quit the path. We could wind up chalking it up to it being too hard to be an entrepreneur, that there are too many other realtors out there, or some other external issue; when really, it’s an anchor issue, not a boat issue - if you get my analogy.
The purpose of this episode is to empower, uplift, and inspire you on your journey! Kim's mission is to support leaders in creating a culture that loves Mondays. In her new Mastermind, she serves those looking for a confidential, unbiased, and no judgement zone to navigate hard people problems with peers or team members. Welcome to the Seeing Your Inner Brilliance podcast - the space for women like you who are on a mission to big, radical, earth shaking things in this world to see themselves for who they really are instead of who life has shaped us to be. But how can we see ourselves if we don’t know ourselves? And how can we be ourselves (to create that amazing life we envision for ourselves and the world) if we don’t see ourselves? I’m your host, Self-Worth and Confidence Coach, Charlsey Childers.
It’s interesting because our dreams and desires, whether we want to be a big name in the real estate industry, fashion industry, coaching world, whatever it is, our dreams and desires can be a source of fuel for us; they can also be exhausting though, right?
We’re trying to learn new skills, grow our audience or network, find the recipe for success, and/or figure out how to show up when we have kids around us 24/7. There’s a lot to do physically. And then not to mention the doubt, comparison, what ifs, fears, insecurities, and questioning that commonly rises within us as we go after our big goals.
Ahh all we want is to do what we love and build the life that we want from the deepest place of ease, confidence, success, and authenticity as possible, right? Embodying and showing up from this type of power is the epitome of my work. I approach it from the incredible trifecta of cognitive psych, emotional psych, and energetics. My guest today approaches it from the perspective of masculine and feminine energy and somatic embodiment.
If you desire to feel more safe, confident, and successful within yourself, then you are about to listen to a powerful, expansive, and esoteric conversation!!! Get ready!
In this episode, I’m joined by a super special guest. She’s Filipino-American, a TedX speaker, and Trauma-Informed Master Coach who empowers women to unleash their feminine energy and purpose. My guest today is the incredible Leslie Saglio! She is a global expert in women's empowerment and embodied feminine leadership.
Leslie is here to help us become more confident, successful versions of ourselves who experience more joy, pleasure, and fulfillment so we can make a bigger impact and income with less stress and more flow.

Pop quiz: what is one of the topics unitesall women no matter how successful we are, how high our income is, how many people we’ve impacted, or how much we love our family?
If you answered, body image, then you are correct!
What if loving ourselves and embracing our unique kind of beautiful with compassion and acceptance was on the portals to help us reach the amazing, wildly successful, and incredibly impactful life we desire?
If you thought today, "ugggh, I can't stand my thighs" or "gosh, she is so much prettier than I am," then this real, raw, high-vibe conversation is for you! Press play now.
This is a next level conversation that will help you get to your next level because loving ourselves (body included) is a portal to cross to get to the amazing life we desire.
Joined by special guest, Coach and Curvy Body Advocate, 3x Published Author, Host of The Balance + Bliss Podcast, and mom of two, Andrea Mondoux, we discuss dismantling societal expectations, rewriting our self-narrative, and amplifying our inner motivation in order to love ourselves, love our bodies, and be the women we want to be.
Andrea's passion for body acceptance and confidence ignited through her own journey two year journey of self-reflection, transforming her habits, and recognizing the narratives that had been pushed onto her. She is changing the future of health and wellness, and how those perceive achieving it. She encourages others to take small steps in their pursuit of wellness and to remind themselves that they are the authors of their own stories, allowing themselves to reframe negative thoughts and to focus on self-compassion and acceptance. She emphasizes that the number on the scale does not determine your worth, and if you want to lose weight, it is important to explore the reasons why and to ensure that it is for yourself and not to meet an ideal standard of beauty.
For more support in loving your body, you can follow Andrea on Instagram, listen to the Balance and Bliss podcast, and/or download her free resources. I love you and you are so deeply supporting in being the woman you want to be!
Did you know there's a healthy side to people pleasing and perfectionism?
On the surface, yes, they are rooted in trying to make others happy or trying to accomplish an illusionary standard in order to prove that we are capable and deserving. In a nutshell, that is what we know people pleasing and perfectionism to be.However, if we peel back the layer on both of these, they are actually rooted in desire. We have a desire to be someone who makes others happy. We have a desire to be someone who feels satisfied and acknowledged. We have a desire to be someone who goes farther than most people are willing to go or someone who embodies high standards for herself.
Where we get tripped up is the underlying energy and beliefs for why we are doing the thing we are doing. If we’re doing something so someone sees us and validates us, and we use their acknowledgement as proof that we are enough, then it’s people pleasing, and derived from disempowering beliefs. If we are doing something for the sake of needing it to be exactly right or to go exactly the way we want it to in order to be deemed qualified, then it’s perfectionism, and also derived from disempowering beliefs. When our underlying energy and beliefs for why we are doing the thing we are doing comes from a place of wholeness and inner knowingness, then that’s the healthy side of “people pleasing” and “perfection.”
My friend and owner of Cornerstone Virtual Partners, Nicole Bernardo, does a really beautiful job of speaking to the healthy side and unhealthy side of people pleasing and perfection, and that’s why I asked her to be a guest on the show today.
Nicole was raised by a father with a militant way of being, instilling in her a drive to be perfect and to please both him and herself. As an adult, she took control of her own life and pushed to prove herself, leading to a successful career. Despite hitting a glass ceiling, she decided to take a leap and became an entrepreneur. She persevered, working hard to acquire clients, and ultimately, her former employer wished they had her back at a rate they couldn't afford. Nicole was proud of the cards she had been dealt and continued to play the hand with determination.
By the end of this episode, if you consider yourself a people pleaser and/or perfectionist, then my hope is that you will walk away knowing that you don’t have to completely stop these tendencies; it’s not about you currently doing anything wrong and needing to quit cold turkey. No! It’s about shifting the underlying energetics and beliefs underneath these tendencies where the magic and freedom is.
To connect with Nicole, you can find her on LinkedIn and the Cornerstone Virtual Partners website.

Have you ever wanted to do something but felt silly or like it's impossible because it's never been done before? Or maybe you've wondered if you have what it takes to juggle it all?
Those are the questions we unpack on this episode of Seeing Your Inner Brilliance. Charlsey talks with Marjie Hadad, the spearhead of a parenting movement that uses PR Strategies to raise confident, resilient, and successful children.
While raising her three children and building her PR career, Marjie realized she had a secret weapon: using the PR strategies and techniques from work on her children. Her children responded really well to the techniques, so she kept using them. Now, as adult children, they encouraged her to share her golden nuggets with other moms! And that's what she did. In her new book, "The Power of PR Parenting, Marjie, uses her professional expertise to empower other moms with PR strategies to raise confident, resilient and successful children in her new book, "The Power of PR Parenting." She created her own parenting approach and movement!
For example, in this episode, she says, "share with them the best of you, in addition to your personality and your love and positive reinforcement, etc . But if you're really good at something, teach your kids that skill. And whether they do it well or not is completely irrelevant. The point is that they had the experience and they had an opportunity to try it."
May this episode help you cultivate the confidence to follow your heart even if it seems out-of-the-box or never done before! You can do it!

What makes it so special? Because in celebration of the one year anniversary of this incredible podcast reaching thousands of you around the world, I decided to add in an Unstoppable Woman Series in addition to the weekly episodes.
'Unstoppable' means different things to everyone, but the one true thing is that we are all unstoppable in some way. We all have things we have overcome, and, simultaneously, we all have things that we are still working to overcome. That’s okay. That’s beautiful. And we can honor ourselves in the process of it all.
What better way to do that than to feature some women who have become unstoppable in their own way? May this series bless you and encourage you. May it be the inspiration you turn to when you’re having a day where you just aren’t feeling. May it be a lifeline for you when it all feels too much. And, ultimately, may it continue pointing you in the direction of your unstoppable.

In this episode, Charlsey and Jen dive into relearning how to take care of ourselves, do it from a super healthy space of nurturing ourselves and wanting to vs as a last resort or some sort of checklist item at the bottom of our to do list, and embracing the changes our bodies go through and embracing the woman you’ll be on the other side of embracing the changes: babies, aging, and menopause.
Jen Brango is an accredited life coach and metabolic optimization coach who helps midlife women learn how to take exquisite care of themselves so they can get their confidence and power back. Through her own journey, shelearned that we can take care of ourselves from a place of nurture rather than pressure or as a last resort, and that it takes an internal look at how to love yourself. Through identity-based habits, we can learn to trust themselves and focus on the baby steps to become their future self, rather than focus on what they should be doing. The key is to fill our tank up with enriching activities and to create a new belief that they can prove by showing up.

How many times today have you wished you had more time in the day or if you just had a little more time, you would be able to do all of these wonderful things?
Ah, yes, there is a very real feeling that we don’t have enough time. There’s a reality to this because we literally have 24 hours in a day.
There’s also a lot of conditioning around how we view time. We can blame time for being the reason why we can’t do things or why we aren’t where we want to be, we can feel very limited and restricted by time, and we can also feel like we don’t have any control over how we spend our day. There can be an immense amount of pressure we feel when it comes to time.
I don’t know about you, but I am constantly adjusting and readjusting myself and my thoughts around this. You’ll hear about this in the episode. That’s why I brought in my friend and time management and productivity expert, Jaimee Campanella to help us break free from "the shoulds" and "have tos" of time management and help us adopt a revolutionary new way of thinking about time so we can create intentional, fulfilling experiences and take control of our own lives.
Jaimee found herself in a trap of feeling like she should be doing more and making an incredibly long to-do list during a season when she felt exhausted, burnt out, and had no control over her time. She is a time strategist and productivity consultant who mentors and guides parents, professionals, and entrepreneurs to take control of their time. She is the creator and principal facilitator of the Time Power program that gives people the essential tools and strategies to avoid overwhelm and tame chaos so that they can regain control of their time for good .Ultimately, she helps people to understand that they have the privilege and responsibility to choose how to spend their time and with intention. She encourages people to look for signs that they need to dig deeper, such as feeling like they don't have time to do something or falling into the hustle culture of "more, more, more."
Jaimee is such an incredible resource on how to become a time ninja! Download her free training, "3 Shifts to Take Control of Your Time." You can also learn more about her Time Power program to be equipped with the essential tools and strategies that successful and beyond-busy moms and entrepreneurs use to avoid overwhelm and tame chaos, so that they can regain control of their time for good. Or connect with her on LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram.
By the end of this episode, I hope you will feel empowered to shift away from the "shoulda, woulda, coulda" mentality about time, create a sense of work-life balance and avoid feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and burnt out, and use time for doing more of the things you love!
And if you’re realizing that you often feel like you don’t have enough or what you’re doing/putting into things isn’t enough, then that’s where I can come in to help you dig up this root belief that’s entangled with conditioning, expectations, and internalizations. My confidence program, Unstoppable, can deeply serve with this! Click here for more details. Prices go up significantly on March 1!
You are wonderful! Keep anchoring to your seeing your inner brilliance!
With love,
Charlsey

Are you doing all the things externally yet feeling like something is missing?
What if you could do something where you feel so aligned and pumped up everyday that it lights your soul on fire vs wasting your time is a job that doesn’t fulfill you and doesn’t give you what you want bc you’re trying to measure success for external validation?
I know, #dreamlife. These are some questions we’ll be unpacking today on Seeing Your Inner Brilliance with my friend and Career Coach, Ashley Fernandez.
Have you ever found yourself thinking: “I should stay in this career because it’s what I went to school for,” “I should have a 5 year plan,” “I should join this program because THAT is the thing that will change the game for me??"
I know I have! And it wasn’t until I could no longer maintain the misery I was feeling in my career that I decided enough was enough. For Ashley, her catalyst for going from unfulfilled to fulfilled was when her mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
When do we all claim a life of fulfillment for ourselves? When we do all of us female powerhouses claim the life we desire and deserve? When do stop designing our life around what it looks like on the outside?
And when do all make this change or at least admit to yourself that you’re going to make a change and choose more inner success, fulfillment, and loving yourself enough to go against the grain to follow your passion… Then what?
Because anytime we want to make a shift, it freaks out our conscious mind. It’s used to keep us safe. It has a doctorate in safety, comfortability. It scores a 6 on its performance review.
We have to train it to work with us rather than against us. Because if you’re trying to lean into maybe doing something entirely new, shifting your life in a way that hasn’t been done before in your family, or stopping the endless, exhausting belief that success equals your achievements, # of clients, amount of podcast downloads, digits on your paycheck, etc, you are shocking your nervous system. It’s good… it’s so good.
But the unfamiliar is our mind’s worst enemy. It's so important for us to learn how to get our mind on board with what you’re doing or it’ll spiral you into second guessing yourself at every turn, doubting you’re worthy or capable of going in the direction you feel called to go in vs continue the path you think you logically need to go in.
Tune into to hear how Ashley went from doing it all because she felt like she had to... to doing it all from a place of passion and being lit up.
Ashley is a mom of two boys, Recruiter with a Fortune 500 company, and Career Coach for high-achieving women. She specializes in helping women uncover what is holding them back from designing a career and a life they don't want to run away from. Why is it important to open ourselves up if we’re silently struggling, not as happy or bubbly as we seem to be on the outside, or aren’t seeing the results we want?
And how do we peel back a layer to go a little deeper within ourselves to figure out what’s really going on?
In my confidence program, Unstoppable, I compare it to looking under the hood of a car. If a warning light or engine light comes on while you’re driving, are you going to just keep going and never check it? No, at some point, you’re going to pull over and pop the hood. You’re going to dig a little deeper.
Are there disempowering beliefs we’re believing? Are we forcing ourselves in different directions bc of the pressure we feel? Is it effects from unrecognized trauma? Have you gotten so caught up in thinking that you should make a to do list everyday the same way Brendon Bruchard does it? Or do you feel like you should keep spending time with someone because you want it to work out?
Big or small, these shoulds really get us in a chokehold.
Let's say you do open yourself up, which my guest, Jen and I go into what this looks like on this episode, then what do you do next? Where do you go from there?
How do you go from struggling to thriving, feeling as good on the inside as it looks on the outside, and be satisfied with where we are even if we aren’t seeing the results we want? What action steps can you take? Because you’re in control here, sister! You really do. It may not feel like it sometimes. Life may feel harder than you’d like. It may be a constant cycle of trying, failing, picking yourself back up, trying, failing, and around you go.
I assure you: your power is stopping that cycle! It’s putting on the brakes and saying, “no more. This isn’t fun and I’m going to do it differently!”
Take a listen to this episode! You’re going to get some really great value out of it! And if you’re looking for greater support in this area, I got you, girl! Yes! These are the exact things we deal with inside of Unstoppable, my confidence program dedicated to empowering and equipping driven women to feel deeply confident in who they are and what they’re called to do. There is literally nothing else out of there like this. So if you feel a strong pull to stop pretending, faking it till you make it, or silently struggling and have a real desire to deeply know who you are and approach life from that confident, self-assured place, Unstoppable is for you! Click here for more details. Hurry though because prices go up on March 1, so say yes to yourself before then!
If you aren’t quite at the place where enough is enough, that’s okay. This episode is powerful, it’s inspiring, and it’s actionable.
Jen does a beautiful job breaking down the steps we need to take for greater freedom and healing. As a Lifestyle Transformation Coach, she guides women affected by addiction from their center so helps them reclaim their true identity, so they can experience greater happiness and healing. I pray this episode is exactly what you need today! When you truly see your inner brilliance, and let that inherent power shine, that is when you become unstoppable!
xoxo,
Put this episode at the top of your todo list today! It is required listening for every woman. We are going to blow the freaking lid off of how you view your emotions.
Let's get to the bottom of why you and I erupt like a volcano sometimes, and, more importantly, learn simple ways to gain control of your emotions, so you can feel more fulfilled, at peace, and joyful.
It doesn't matter what your childhood was like, how much trauma work you've done, or how good you are at faking it till you make it, I know your past is affecting you in unexposed yet damaging ways... and, oftentimes, you don't even realize how its affecting you.
You have days, Iike I did, where the fog and resistance feels heavier than others. Then there are also the days where something seemingly small sets you off out of nowhere. No shame, gf! I know it's exhausting and I know the guilt of when you say and do things you later regret.
Just last week I snapped at my kids and husband for something silly. And it turned into, "I always go out of my way to make sure you all get what you want and are taken care of, but, when mom wants something, it’s like pulling teeth.” In the past, I would have beat myself up for days for yelling like that and felt ashamed because I got angry. Instead, because I’ve learned how to practice these tools, I surfed by emotional waves. I still wish I hadn’t yelled and cursed like that. Now I know where it comes from and why. I can own my anger and my behavior because I know I am not my anger. After surfing my emotional waves, we were able to have a family discussion about the power of our emotions, then wound up having a great day. That would not have happened before. I would have stayed mad, maybe stormed out of the house, and the day would have been ruined.
And that is the goal of this episode - to equip you with tools and knowledge to lean into your emotions instead of stuff, ignore, or be overpowered by them.
Wouldn’t you love to get out of this cycle of pretending, faking it till you make it, and emotional vomiting? Would you love to take control of your emotional life as an adult?
The good news: you can change your relationship with your emotions, and, in turn, repair the crap from your childhood, which will bring you more fulfillment, joy, and peace in life. You’ll be able to show up for your dreams more consistently, feel closer to your family, and feel better about yourself.
So, who is going to teach us all of this? I’m joined by my friend, Jamie Weatherholt: a licensed mental health therapist, certified hypotherapist, owner of Enlightened Counseling & Healing, LLC, and co-host of The Shrink Show podcast.
Listen to this episode and really try to absorb what Jaime shares because the pain and emotional triggers you’re experiencing is not who you are.
I know you’re going to send this to every one of your girlfriends because every woman can benefit from this kind of inner work!
Learning how to have a healthy relationship with your emotions is life-changing whether you are 46 or 26! It is also impactful for your lineage!
As the queen of your world, you have so much power inside of you and are so capable! Thank you for listening and let me know what comes up for you when you’re listening.
With love,
Charlsey

I hope this tragedy can bring us closer. My heart is still heavy and distraught over the news that Stephen 'tWitch' Boss died from suicide.
He appeared to be one of the most positive, happiest, fulfilled people in this world. His smile and light was radiant and infectious. He was inspiring with his talent and with his accomplishments.
tWitch was admired by millions for dazzling us with his dance skills on So You Think You Can Dance, and then infecting us all with his energy on the Ellen DeGeneres show as DJ and Co-executive Producer.
Two other people have come across my feed this year who also seemed like the last people in the world to commit suicide: Cheslie Krysta and Neena Pacholke.
In reading Cheslie and Neena's story, I got the sense that they too lit up their world with their personality, talent, and beauty.
All three of their stories have brought up so much sadness and confusion inside of me, and it may be bringing up a lot for you too.
We do not have to know people personally to be impacted by their life or their death.
Maybe it's bringing up memories of a breaking point or near breaking point in your own life. Maybe you too have struggled in silence or are struggling in silence right now, which is why I wanted to talk about this today.
Perhaps, like me, you're having a hard time processing how someone so accomplished and "had it all" could end their story this way.
Perhaps you too have felt the weight and heaviness that can come with being a high-achiever.
Or maybe you could just really use some honesty, vulnerability, and encouragement right now to remind you of the truth that lives inside of you.
So I wanted to connect, and share three things that are coming up the most for me since the news of Cheslie's passing, to be honest. Neena's and now tWitch's have only reinforced by desire and urgency to talk about them.
And I want us to stay connected. We need each other. We are wired to need each other.
My Instagram is @charlsey_childers. You are loved! So loved for who you are!
And, if you are in tremendous pain right now or know someone is, PLEASE use a lifeline for support to help you through this pain.
Trained volunteers are standing by to help you, and they want to help you. Call the National Suicide Hotline, which is 988 in the US. Or, test HOME to 741-741 for the Crisis Text Line.
Thank you for being human with me and listening to this episode! I love you!

Do you ever beat yourself up for not being able to take big steps toward your dreams? Do you have trouble celebrating yourself for the small?
If so, then you are in the right place!
This episode focused on celebrating small steps & accomplishments. My guest, Lanette Pottle, learned that it’s important to take small steps rather than waiting for the big leaps. She shared her story of being a single mother with a toddler, having to bounce around, and not having a job or place to live. She explains the importance of trusting your intuition when it comes to sharing your story, and to be selective of who you trust with it. She encourages us to take the time to reflect and acknowledge the small steps we take and how they build a runway to our ultimate success. Finally, she encourages us to start questioning from a place of curiosity and understanding, rather than doubt.
Life & Business Strategist turned Book Coach & Publishing Mentor, Lanette Pottle, teaches female speakers, coaches, and entrepreneurs how to turn their wisdom into authority-building, impact-making books.

Take an honest inventory! Does your doing and the actions you're taking bring you more satisfaction than when you're being? If so, this could be a sign that you're overcompensating your doing in order to prove your worth. This is a common thing among high-achieving women!
Mentally, we may know that our worth isn't based on our performance or productivity. But it's easier said than believed. I have often feel pressure to do more and be more. Maybe you have too. I realized that I've been falling victim to the "should story" - thinking I should be a certain way or do certain things in order to be successful. But the truth is, I am enough just as I am. I don't need to force myself to be someone I'm not. I am worthy, capable, and deserving of all good things. When I operate from this place of knowing, I am unstoppable in my pursuit of success and impact.
In this episode, I break down the psychological reasons for why we feel the pressure to constantly do more. Tune in now to learn:
1. The pressure we feel to succeed may be coming from our own expectations of ourselves, rather than from external sources.
2. We may be falling victim to the "should story" - the belief that we should be doing or measuring up to certain things in order to be successful.
3. We can heal the root causes that keep us stuck in this cycle by going deeper and uncovering our hidden beliefs.

"What if following our dreams actually means following the path these feelings are leading you down?" - Charlsey Childers
After an unplanned break from my usual productivity-driven routine, it reminded me that the key to a fulfilling life is focusing on who you are being, rather than what you are doing. This two week break from life and it was really tough, but also really good. I was challenged in a lot of ways, but I learned a lot too. I realized that following my dreams doesn't mean changing my outer world first. I have to focus more on who I'm being in each moment, and less on doing. I also realized that the journey is just as important as the destination.
In this episode, you will learn the following:
1. How our feelings are data, not directives, and what this means for our dreams and goals
2. The importance of focusing on who we are being, in each moment, rather than what we are doing
3. How the journey to our goals is just as important as the goals themselves

Welcome to part two of our conversation with my friend, Angie Collins, on how to faithfully trust your decisions in the unknowns, unexpected and silent struggles. I don't know about you, but it can be really hard to lean in and trust yourself, in your dreams and in your God when there are so many unknowns, so many things outside of your control, and at any moment, something can literally catch you off guard and cause you to spin in circles.
What about those moments though when we are silently struggling, meaning that we are feeling one way on the inside, however, we appear to have it all together on the outside. For whatever reason, maybe you're so drowned out by the doubt and the insecurity or afraid to talk to somebody about it because you feel like no one understands you or gets what you're going through.

Believing in yourself and pursuing the things on your heart takes courage and confidence. Before you can build that belief, you have to be certain your desires are yours.

**You are back for part two of Owning Who You Are and What You Want. On last week’s episode, we started talking about the idea that when you’re desiring and even creating a better life for yourself than the one you’re currently living, it requires you to stand firm in who you are and stay focused on what you want, so you can have unwavering confidence in yourself, be your own cheerleader, and maintain your power over your thoughts and feelings bc goodness knows, they have the ability to get out of control.
Today, I am doing something special for you as a listener of the podcast. I took 3 hot topics from last week's interview, and, over the next few weeks, I am going to give you practical tips and strategies to help you build the belief in yourself you need to stand in your power and gain momentum on your desires.
The first topic we talk about is making the shift from where you are to where you want to be. What is the first step you need to take to pursue the things on your heart?
Tune in to find out and discover three practical ways to build your belief in a way that allows you to own your success and become unstoppable.

In this episode, we are talking about owning who you are and what you want.
When you're on the journey of creating the life for yourself that you envision - whether it be through becoming an entrepreneur, living sustainably, following your passion, etc - this journey requires you to stand firm in who we are and stay focused on what we want, so we can remain confident in ourselves through the obstacles we face, keep going in the direction we're going regardless of who supports us, and remain grounded in our own thoughts and feelings.
This journey demands for us to have an unwavering belief in ourselves and what we're called to do even when people don't support us, no one is cheering us on, and our own doubts get in our way. That can be really challenging.
As you're listening to this interview, I invite and encourage you to think about moments in your life where you can relate. Perhaps your spouse didn't support your desire to make a change or perhaps there have been times when you felt like you didn't know who you were. Hang onto these moments as you answer these two writing prompts:

When not dealt with in a healthy way, this negativity shows itself in many different ways. For instance, it can damage our confidence and self worth, cause us to not believe in ourselves, or get in the way of our success. When these negative thoughts are extreme, the manifest in extreme ways: anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, etc.
Today's guest, Nancy Daniels, has had a successful career as a radio and tv reporter, and is now coaching people on how to use their voice on camera. When her thoughts manifested into a mental health disorder at a young age, it hugely impacted her confidence. In this episode, she shares how she first recognized that her thoughts were more than negative thoughts, cultivated the courage to get the help she needed, and the number one thing she did to build her confidence again in herself. Do you ever feel like things have to be a certain way? Maybe you find yourself obsessing over life needing to look perfect or appearing like you have to have it all together...
You're not alone! And nothing is wrong with you!
As an ambitious woman, you naturally have an ability to see opportunities and have a desire to make things better. This is a great quality!
What trips us up is when we expect everything to be perfect all the time, we can't accept that messy can mean good, and we beat ourselves up when things look different than we thought or hoped they would. We start identifying with our mess... "a messy house means that I'm a mess!"
