The Middle East is a region that often gets clouded in politics and trivial matters. Hidden behind that, however, is an area with a strong culture and unique identity. Despite common sentiment, this region is on the cusp of dramatic social change. The decisions that will be made in the near future have the ability to unlock tremendous potential for societies within the region and throughout the world. Common analysis focuses on differences, I seek to focus on commonalities and to avoid the emotions that often blur an accurate understanding of the problems and potential.
