Today I interview ARES MEYER. In 1982, 2,000 couples took part in a mass wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The event was organized by the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, founder of the Unification Church, who matched many of the brides and grooms himself. As a teen, and led by his father, Ares Meyer and his brother found themselves going from Zero to Religious, real quick and all of a sudden he realized that they were growing up in the middle of this religious organization. They believed that all the members should only marry each other to reestablish God's lineage on Earth. Ares and I have a compelling conversation about culture, religion, racism, hip hop and his love and admiration for Malcolm X and Tupac Shakur. I hope you enjoy!
