Reading ch. 5 of Divine Love & Wisdom. It's high-concept, and yet it applies to our every moment: Being and Existence are one. And in God-Man, they are distinguishably one. That is, the concepts of being and existence can be distinguished by the intellect, but in operation they are completely one. One application: if struggling with the idea that God is absent, first acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ as the Divine Human, then think of Him as Being itself, which is inherently Human in form. Being--the one who Is, Was, and Is to come (to speak from the New Testament) and the I AM (to allude to His name in the Old Testament, Jehovah). Does He seem so far away now?
