What if brands stop guessing what their target audiences want? What if there was a way to turn values into a measurable business metric?

In this episode, the brilliant David Allison joins us to talk about Valuegraphics, the method he created to understand how people make decisions based on their values. David is a Speaker, Human Values Expert, Behavioral Scientist, Author, and Founder of the Valuegraphics Project. In his latest book, "The Death of Demographics: Valuegraphic Marketing for a Values-Driven World," David explains why demographics (people's age, gender, income, etc.) and psychographics (preferences, liked content, online behavior, etc.) are ineffective to create a genuine connection with target audiences, and using Valuegraphics to create values-driven marketing strategies is the definitive solution to the inaccuracy of demographic-based profiles.

“Change is inevitable, growth is optional!”

This is a principle that all good leaders hold dear to their hearts. They do not live in fear of change taking place because they are sure that eventually, it is going to come. They focus on creating teams that can grow, adapt and thrive in their new environment.

However, for a leader to achieve that, they must also be open to growing as individuals by being receptive to new ideas. In industries such as manufacturing, passionate and growth-oriented leaders can help organizations remain highly competitive.

Today, I’m joined by Alex Alvarez, Senior Vice President, Chief Sustainability Officer, and Director of ESG for Brown-Forman. He is responsible for developing and implementing an integrated ESG (environmental, social, & governance) strategy that ensures Brown-Forman’s growth ambitions are environmentally and socially sustainable. The media has done a great deal of damage to the true definition of beauty. It has narrowed it, undressed it, and covered it with strong filters in an effort to make it emulate perfection. True beauty doesn’t need filters and all that, it's about self-love, confidence, and being comfortable with who you are.

The good thing is that society is now fighting back by embracing and appreciating authenticity, naturalness, and individuality.

Today, I’m joined by my friend Angel Cornelius who is also the CEO and founder of Maison 276 – a beauty products company with a sophisticated collection of premium beauty products created with plant-based, sustainable ingredients. She’s passionate about empowering women to celebrate their own version of beauty.

She’ll be sharing with us her personal journey, her inspiration, and the lessons she has learned on her entrepreneurial journey.

Tune in to the sixth episode of The Brand Therapist and learn how our guest created a successful business that promotes the celebration of everyone’s version of beauty.

In This Episode You Will Learn:

  • The triggers that sometimes hold Angel back (07:01)
  • How mentors helped her navigate the business challenges (11:50)
  • Her first business breakthrough and the impact it had on her (16:56)
  • The biggest challenges she faced in her business (22:41)

Gone are the days when a company could just design a logo and a campaign poster, send them to media outlets, and claim they are good at marketing themselves. Even individuals can’t just write a CV listing where they’ve worked and claim it as a personal brand.

Social media has completely transformed how we brand and market ourselves as well as our businesses. We now have billions of people on the most popular social media platforms who are ready to engage, criticize, compliment, emulate, or even buy. Basically, the audience is there, but we also have millions of brands fighting for their attention.

Today I’m joined by my good friend and author of several social marketing books, Allison Lewis. She helps companies, as well as influencers, get the attention and trust of the right audience. After all, you only make money if your brand can say ‘all eyes on me’ to the target audience. She’ll share with us her personal journey and the importance of selecting the right strategies in social media marketing.

Tune in to the fourth episode of Brand Therapist and learn the importance of branding in today’s social media era.

In This Episode You Will Learn:

  • What motivated Alisson to start her business (01:44)
  • How fear held her back before she started the business (05:22)
  • The role her mentors played in helping her transition to full-time self-employment (07:36)
  • How the first big collaboration impacted her (08:33)
  • The lessons she learned along the way (12:13)
