As you put the work in, prayerfully you will be able to discover a Life of Abundance that He has designed specifically for you.
When the Fruit of Temperance (Self-Control) is developed inside of you, you may find that you will revisit some situations that you believe that you have already overcome. It will be up to you to decide how you will move forward. Will you get distracted and give in to the temptations of your past or will you stand true to yourself and to God to show that those situations are behind you? Prayerfully, you will keep moving forward and be ready to experience your next level of growth with the Fruit of Temperance.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will hear another fruit that the Holy Spirit is trying to get you to embrace on a deeper level. When you operate in the Fruit of Meekness, it is not a sign of weakness. As you allow the Holy Spirit to help you walk in the Fruit of Meekness, you will see that your acts of humility towards others will not only give them a feeling of encouragement and comfort, but you will see that it will also give the same to you.
Now that you have been building your relationship with God, prayerfully you have the faith to seek God in your day-to-day walk. As the Holy Spirit continues to take you to a deeper level with The Fruit of Faith, you may discover that it will require you to remember how He has brought you through past situations so that you can have the confidence and the strength to overcome a bigger battle that you may be faced with today. Please stay encouraged that He is still with you and you must keep trusting Him in everything that you do and that comes your way. You got this. Keep the Faith!
There are times where it may be difficult to show goodness or to receive goodness from a person. When you allow your efforts and actions to be guided by God, then it won't seem as if it is a struggle. If you allow your mind to stay focused on doing things to please God, then He will tell you what you need to do. You will then see that you won't be conscious about how you can benefit from something. The Holy Spirit will show you how to listen to Him so that you can represent God and show goodness to someone who needs to experience it and prayerfully, experience Him through you.
On today, I will be celebrating Jesus, Our Lord and Savior. As we are in this season of advent, it is normal to talk about His birth and the love that God had for us by providing the world a precious gift. This sacrifice demonstrated such an unconditional love for each person if they are willing to open up their heart to Him. Whether you find yourself participating in different Christmas activities, shopping, or just being busy as you close-out the year, may you each find the time to enjoy Him. Praise and worship Him for all that He has done for you but more importantly, for who He is.
As you continue to embrace the Fruit of the Spirit, you will hear another fruit being discussed today which is the Fruit of Gentleness or Kindness. This fruit is something that we have been showing more of, especially with all of the things that have happened because of the pandemic. It is always so heartwarming to hear and see people show kindness to those that need some extra help and attention. It is also just good for people to show kindness just for the sake of it, even if someone is not in need. God wants us to represent Him in a pleasing way and being kind to others is one way to do so.
In today's podcast, you will hear how the Fruit of Longsuffering can be developed in you. When you go through the challenges of life, there are times where you don't know how you may make it. When you trust God to help you through your storm, you will begin to see the strength and the endurance that you possess. By relying on Him to help you, you put the focus more on Him than on yourself. As a result, you operate in Him guiding you through some of your most challenging of times and you see that He was always by your side.
The Fruit of Peace is a part of the Spirit that all of us seek after. The phrase "peace of mind is priceless" is a phrase that holds so much truth regardless of what you may be going through. Experiencing peace from God is something that we all strive to attain. Although you may feel that you have peace, when your peace is being guided by God you feel it deeper in your spirit and you know that you can whether any storm that comes your way. Always hold on to God's unchanging hand.
In today's podcast, you will hear how to operate in another Fruit of the Spirit, The Fruit of Joy. There are times that joy and happiness are used interchangeably but there are distinct differences between them. As you listen, you will hear some scenarios where you can decide which one exists. When you are experiencing "unspeakable joy", you will know without a doubt that it is more than just an emotion of happiness. You feel the Spirit of God moving inside of you. The relationship that you have with Him keeps you praising Him while also feeling humbled and grateful to know Him.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will continue to hear how the Fruit of Love can grow inside of you by trusting God. God's actions and His character display love throughout the Bible. As you listen to His voice through the people that He had a relationship with, you will see how each person was guided by God to display His characteristics onto others. God teaches love and wants you to embody this Fruit of the Spirit in everything that you do. Even in the difficult times, your feelings of love will outweigh any negative feelings that the enemy wants you to embrace.
As you seek the voice of the Holy Spirit, He will begin to work on things that are in your life that keep you from living a life of abundance with Him. One of the main characteristics of Him is that He operates in love on a consistent and daily basis. Although you may have hurt feelings or your emotions keep you in a bitter or hateful demeanor, the Holy Spirit can work in you (if you allow Him) to soften and heal the pain that you feel. When you develop the Fruit of Love, you will not only be obedient to what He wants, but you will see that you spent too much time in negativity.
In today's podcast, you will begin to hear the importance of connecting with the Holy Spirit. God speaks to you through the Holy Spirit and you must be open to hearing His voice. He is there with you and He wants to help you in everything that you experience on earth. Regardless of what you have gone through thus far, God is still there and will continue to be there if you allow Him into your mind and your heart. It will be up to you to make a conscious choice to develop a personal relationship with Him. God is there with open arms ready to welcome you in.
As you listen to today's application, it becomes important to apply what you have learned with the Seed of Gossip and the Seed of Honesty. God wants you to be honest and truthful in your conversations with others, but also, in the conversation that you have with yourself. Listen to His voice and allow that to be the guidance of how you communicate with Him, others, and the thoughts that you have within.
God's Seed of Survival - The Seed of Honesty will help you to combat the Seed of Gossip. When you make the conscious choice of operating in God's characteristics, you will display integrity, credibility, and honesty in your demeanor. Learn from Jesus on how He displayed honesty and continue to seek God for more discipline in your conversations with others.
Please understand that just because you have fulfilled certain wants and desires from a lie, it will be short-lived. Listen and see how things can start off being enjoyable, but chaos and confusion will be around the corner.
The last root that is watered to grow inside of you from the Seed of Gossip is the Root of Lying. This root can be very destructive because it goes completely against what God says to do which is to speak truth. As a result, the Root of Lying is also one of the things that God hates. Always know that nothing good comes out of a lie.
Yesterday, I talked with you about the Root of Betrayal and you listened to how a betrayer could be affected in situations. Today, I am going to discuss how victims of betrayals are affected and how they may choose to handle situations that involve unpredictable and predictable betrayals. It becomes important to learn the six steps in order to move forward in your life when someone has betrayed you.
The Root of Betrayal that is watered by the enemy can affect a person deeply and sometimes, it can be hard (but not impossible) for the person to overcome. This root can also affect each person involved differently. Today, listen and see how the betrayer deals with situations.
When the enemy plants the Root of Slander into you, you have decided to not only allow the Seed of Gossip to grow inside of you, but you also give yourself the permission to spread negative and false information about others. See how Jesus dealt with this root with the Pharisees and learn from Him. Also, meditate on the Scriptures Matthew 12:22-37.
Unlike most seeds, the enemy plants the Seed of Gossip into a person in settle ways and most people minimize its level of destruction. Listen and discover how the Seed of Gossip can form into you and cause detriment to your life.
God wants you to keep seeking Him and trusting Him so that you can be obedient to His Will. Therefore, it becomes necessary to not just to go along to get along to please others, nor should your focus be on pleasing yourself consistently. Meditate and memorize the two greatest commandments that Jesus gave to man and let those be your guide daily.
How you communicate and relate to others can be essential in the types of relationships that you build with people. What is your primary goal in the relationship? Listen and determine if your conversations are growing and developing with others and with the Holy Spirit.
God wants you to hear His voice and to operate in the things that He says to do. He also wants you to be able to display forgiveness and to let go of the things that has happened to you so that it will guide you into becoming a better servant for Him. Listen and allow God to equip you completely.
I shared with you yesterday the Plan of Salvation and how to connect with Jesus. Once you have done that, it becomes important to make sure that you learn how to forgive others. Being one of God’s children means also acting like He does. You must be willing to operate in the same characteristics that He does. You will also see how God restored David’s kingdom through one of David’s sons. David’s son touched God’s heart because of what he asked God for as he became king. Always know that God searches the hearts of man.
As you listen to today’s podcast, you will uncover one of God’s most rewarding and necessary character traits that He has bestowed on everyone and that is the Seed of Forgiveness. The forgiveness that He grants to you is not only powerful, but it continues to show the unconditional love that He has for His people. If you haven’t met Him, you can listen, follow, and acknowledge the Plan of Salvation for yourself or to be willing to share it to someone else who may not know Him.

Happy Thanksgiving! Today, I am going to share what I am thankful and grateful for. God has blessed me so much and I couldn't let this day go by without sharing it. If you are able to spend time with family or friends, I hope that you are able to express to them what you are thankful for. If you are not able to be around others, please know that God is with you and it is also a great time to share with Him all of the things that you are thankful for that He has done for you. God's unconditional love is a blessing and something to be thankful for.
As your life continues to spiral downward, you are now faced with the last root that the enemy can form from the Seed of Violation and that root is called the Root of Pain. When you have reached this level, you are now at rock bottom. You keep re-living the painful scenarios over and over again and you can’t find a way past it. As you listen today, you will discover that in your level of vulnerability, it will require you to be ALL IN in giving the situation(s) to God and putting the work in to recover from it. You will also see that sometimes the enemy will use your kids to cause havoc in your life, just like he did with David and his children.
If you find yourself still trying to do things your way, you may start to develop this next root that the enemy can form into you and that root is called the Root of (Feeling) Broken. How did you get to this level of brokenness? Why do you keep holding onto the pain that you had experienced in the past? What will it take for you to move past it? Listen and learn how God can help you answer these questions. See also how David’s children started to follow in his footsteps.
Today, I am going to finish talking about the Root of Shame. As your relationship continues to grow with the Holy Spirit, allow Him to minister to you so that you can learn and grow from your mistakes. Please don’t beat yourself up too bad because everyone goes through things. As you listen to David, you will see that he also messed up, but God was willing to forgive him. God saw his remorse for his sin and his repented heart that showed that David wanted to do better. Your situation may not be the same, but there may be lessons that you can learn from him.
As the enemy keeps trying to consume you and you listen to him, he will begin to plant the first root that comes out of the Seed of Violation which is the Root of Shame. There are many things that a person can feel shame about based on what they may have done in their life. Also, the shame you feel may be the result of the hurt and pain you caused to someone else. Listen and see how you can have feelings of shame that can come from the enemy and from the Holy Spirit.
Today, I am discussing a new seed, The Seed of Violation. This new seed can be hard to escape from because it can affect you physically, mentally, and emotionally, not only as the victim of a violation but also as an attacker. Because it can affect most of your existence of who you are, it can take some time to uproot it completely. Please understand that God will be with you every step of the way if you remain open to Him. Also, do recognize that no one is exempt from sin. See how one of God’s chosen men was involved in the Seed of Violation.
When you become a child of God, do you really see yourself as a child that needs to mature and grow with God, even if you are an adult? This is exactly what needs to take place. Since you are created in the image of God and God is a Spirit, you will need to be trained by Him. You can start to represent Him as one of His children in the correct way. Also, listen and see who God chose next in leading His people.
As you grow and mature as a Christian, you should now be able to put away some of those things that you did in your flesh. Your spiritual nature should not only be visible, but your desire to live in it can become more satisfying. You will see that pleasing God becomes more important than pleasing self.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will hear how to apply some of the things that you have learned in Chapter 12. If the lines of communication don't remain open as well as people choosing not to be accountable or responsible for their actions, then the struggles become harder to overcome but not impossible. God is Love and He wants you to come to Him sooner than later so that you can avoid the enemy's tricks of deception. Whether you are young or old, allow God to guide you so that you can give love and receive love in a way that is pleasing in His eyesight.
In today's podcast, you will hear a more indepth conversation of how the husband and the wife may have challenges due to past experiences, upbringings, and environments. Because of this, it becomes important for communication to be strong between the two of them and love being displayed. The Seed of Love may need to be shown consistently so that they are willing to be open in their communication. By doing this, each person will see the hand of God working in the relationship.
As you listen to Part 2 of God's Seed of Survival - The Seed of Love, you will hear different scenarios and how they may cause people to react in a certain way. What keeps people divided? Why do people react negatively instead of positively in a situation? Why do people choose to hate instead of choosing to love? Why do you think that you should give into your physical desires with another person when God has already blessed you with a spouse to love? Trust in God and what He has given you to love.
In today's podcast, you will hear God's Seed of Survival, The Seed of Love, that will uproot all of the destructive seed and roots that are planted into you from the Seed of Lust. As you listen, you will hear the importance of operating in love and allowing God's love to reign into your heart in a way that is pleasing to Him. Although you may want to express love in a physical way, God wants you to be guided by Him to do things in a way that you are staying true to your spiritual connection to Him. Allow His Love to teach you how to express love to others.
As you listen to the final destructive root from the Seed of Lust that can be planted into you by the enemy, I pray that you are learning and growing from his destructive patterns that can tempt you with your desires. Although it may seem harmless in the beginning, his goal is never to be harmless. His goal is to cause as much turmoil in your life, especially with your spouse. He knows that by doing this, it breaks the covenant that was built by God. I pray that you will always seek God and allow Him to be the guidance and stability that you need to keep the peace within your relationships.
In today's podcast, I will continue to share how the adversary can plant another new root into you if you choose to listen to him and that new root is the Root of Prostitution. Within this root, you will hear the parallel stories of how Gomer dealt with Hosea and how Israel dealt with God in their disobedience to each one. This root deals with one's own selfishness. You can also see the extended bodily harm that can happen within this root with STDs that can form. It becomes necessary to listen to God at all times to avoid the sexual temptations and desires that can cause destruction.
This additional root that comes from the Root of Non-Consensual Fornication can be a very difficult and complex root to handle. Within this root, the adversary twists things around causing either you to have sexual desires towards a family member/relative or they have forced their desires upon you. Either way, it is not what God wants for your life. You must find a way to stop this behavior. It will take counseling from God and from an experienced professional to help you break-free from these thoughts and desires. You must take the first step to make the change. Will you do it?
As you listen to today's podcast, you will hear how another root from the Root of Non-Consensual Fornication can be formed inside of you. This particular root can have a stronghold on you that will be difficult to uproot. The Root of Molestation can be formed from other people's physical aggressions upon you, whether they are close to you or distant. Depending on what they also feed into your mind, it can be very hard to overcome from, but not impossible. Please allow yourself to open up to God and allow Him to help you and heal you from the deepest parts of your pain.
In today's podcast, you will hear the other side of fornication being formed which is the root of non-consensual fornication. This level of fornication is so much harder to deal with because these sexual desires are forced upon a person. When the adversary plants this root into a person, the aggressor's main goal is to fulfill their desire without being concerned about the damage that it causes the other person. If this root has been forced upon you, please allow yourself to seek the counsel and help that you need to get through this.
As you continue to listen to the next subroot that is formed from the main root of the Root of Consensual Fornication, you will see how the enemy keeps trying to deepen this root to make you consumed with your desires. You will hear how the Root of Pornography provides more challenges because the enemy intertwines it with getting or paying money for the fulfillment of your desires. You must not allow yourself to get caught up in the schemes of his deception. Seek God and allow God to help you to get your desires under control.
As you listen to today's podcast, I will continue to share how the adversary deepens his hold onto you by developing the Root of Consensual Fornication so that it can grow and go into another direction of destruction. As your sexual desires deepen, he will want you to act upon them even if it is within yourself. You may not feel comfortable in talking with God, but God already knows your struggles. As difficult as the conversation may be with God, He still wants you to seek Him so that He can teach you how to escape these desires and have the discipline that you need to push through.

Receiving salvation is one of the greatest things on earth for each person to have. After you have repented of your sins, acknowledged that Jesus shed His blood, died, and resurrected, and you accept Him as your Lord and Savior, then you begin to live your life for Him. As you spend time with Him, you will develop a close and "personal" relationship with Him. As you seek Him daily, I pray that you choose to follow Him and do things according to His Will. Some days will be easy while other days will be difficult, but you can make it if you keep trusting Him in everything.
When it comes to making sacrifices, there are times that some people just don't want to do that. They don't want to deprive themselves of things. Their mentality is to get whatever they can get at all costs with the mindset that it will also benefit them. God wants people to make sacrifices to help Him and to help others, but He also states that "obedience is better than sacrifice." Regardless of how much sacrifice that you may do in your life, God still wants you to be obedient to Him. Which will you choose moving forward?
In order to walk in discernment, it will require you to not only spend time with God, but it will also be necessary for you to recognize His voice when He speaks to you. When you are consistently spending time with Him in His Word and you see how God is guiding you, you will be able to know what your next moves should be. If by chance things don't go in the way that you anticipated, please don't get discouraged. God is still with you and always has a plan for your good and His glory.
God gives each of us mercy, even when we don't deserve it. Although there is a goal to be obedient to Him, sometimes the selfish nature can get the best of you and you will do whatever you want to do, whenever you want to do it. If things start to spiral downward because of the desire to please self, it is then that you may seek God to ask Him for forgiveness and to have mercy over your life. He wants you to stay in obedience to Him consistently so that you can operate in His mercy on a continual basis. Will you make a commitment to Him?
One of the things that many people struggle with is their lack of healing from past hurts. There are times that people may think that they have healed from a difficult situation only to realize that there are some areas that they still need to work on. The situation that they experienced may be partially healed but not completely healed. As a result, they haven't let go of it nor have they forgiven themselves, the situation, or others involved. It becomes crucial to allow God into your heart and allow Him to get down to the deepest areas of your pain so that you can operate in healing completely.
One of the things that God gives you is the freedom to choose. As your relationship has developed, prayerfully you are choosing Him more in your life versus doing things your way. The choices that you make will dictate how the outcome will be on your situations, your decisions, and your life. Following God and trusting Him in everything continues to show who you represent and it will be God's Will being displayed in your life.
When people are trying to get ahead in life, you will see that they put the effort into it and work hard to reach their desired goals and dreams. Most of the time, they are able to achieve what they set out to accomplish. What happens if you see people putting the effort into a situation but they have hidden motives and agendas behind it? Their main goals are selfish in nature. Unfortunately, those types of situations can lead to destruction and pain which is why it is important to ask God to guide you every step of the way. He wants you to put the effort into accomplishing the plan He has for you.
How often do you trust others? Do you trust people completely or partially? Do you trust people when they have "proven" themselves to be trusted? Can you be trusted? One more to add...how much do you trust God? It is questions like these that will be discussed today. People have different reasons of why they trust and why they don't trust others or even God. In situations where they don't trust, many times it stems from a past hurt or a wrongdoing that took place. It will require healing, forgiveness, and learning the lesson to be learned in order to really move forward.
As you listen to today's podcast, prayerfully, it will cause you to reflect on how you show positivity to others. Although you may know the difference between good vs evil, does your actions display good or do you find yourself being more negative to the situations that come your way? I know certain things can affect you in different ways so it becomes important to seek God consistently so that He can help you through some of those rough days that may take you down a negative path.
As you continue to grow with God especially in your relationship with Him, you will see that your level of confidence is building up inside of you. You will be able to determine this as you are faced with challenges in your life and how you decide to handle them. Regardless of how bad things can get, you have it inside of you to keep pushing, to keep believing, and to keep trusting in God to get you to your destination. Know that God has your best interest at heart and you must have the confidence to make things happen for yourself, and most importantly, to make things happen for God.
In today's podcast, you are able to see another characteristic of God which is the ability to operate in excellence. There are times where it may seem natural to do so because of the goals that you are trying to achieve. The challenge that can come about is when the things that God is guiding you too are not appealing to you nor are they things that you want to do. Because of your obedience to Him, you follow His lead and discover a new, heartfelt, and more valuable way to operate in excellence. You now look at this characteristic with selfless eyes instead of selfish ones as you do His Will.
In today's podcast, I share another attribute of God which is Operating in Good Morals. In our society today, you are faced with the decision of making a good choice or a bad one. There are times where your decisions can be uncomfortable or you can go down a negative path, especially if there are selfish motives taking place. It becomes important to allow your thoughts to be aligned with the Word of God so that He can guide you into operating in an image of who He is.
When you are developing this attribute from God, please stay encouraged. As long as you are checking in with God, you should be able to have some peace with the things that you are undertaking. Also, you will see that the more that your relationship with God grows, your desires become aligned to what He wants you to do instead of you doing the things that just please self. You will see that this helps your determination to be more focused and God-centered which ultimately helps you to accomplish His will.
As you listen to today's podcast on Encouragement, it is an attribute that we all would like to encounter at some point in our lives. Whether you are gifted naturally in giving encouragement to others or you are the one who needs to experience it yourself, a feeling of encouragement in a situation can help a person to keep going, to keep seeking, and to keep living. Throughout the Bible, God displays encouragement to each soul with the hopes that no one feels defeated by the adversary. Allow God to minister to you and to give you the encouragement that you need.
In today's podcast, you will hear another attribute of God that should be displayed in your life. By operating in loyalty, you will not only show how God has moved into your life, but you will show how your relationships have become meaningful and long-lasting because of the loyalty that you have shown to them. This is not something that happens overnight. There may be times where you are tested to see how loyal you will be. You will have to decide if you will be loyal to God and represent Him OR if you will be loyal to yourself and operate in your own ways. Which way will you choose?
If there was ever a time that one of God's characteristics is something that each person should learn, it is today's topic of "Walking in Honesty." Most people would verbally say that they walk in honesty on a consistent basis and it would be wonderful if people's actions displayed that as well. If you were to look at relationships that have fallen apart or become strained, you may uncover that dishonesty was a reason behind its destruction. Because God wants us "all" to be in fellowship with one another, it becomes crucial that we allow His teachings to manifest inside of us. Honesty is the best policy!
As you listen to today's podcast, you will continue to hear the discussion on God's characteristics and how we are to learn and embrace them on a daily basis. When you think about showing respect to others, you may find yourself having to put self to the side and show respect to someone, even if it is hard to do. God needs you to represent Him in a pleasing way. Also, there may be times where you need to seek God diligently in order to have respect for yourself. God loves others and He loves you; therefore, it becomes necessary that you respect yourself and feel respected by others also.
There have been many things that you may have experienced and prayerfully, you have been given some tools to help you conquer those things. It becomes important also to walk in kindness when you may have been wronged or if you just don't feel like being kind to others. The goal becomes for you to take the focus off of you and to put the focus on God on what He is asking you to do. Be a true representative of Him and Walk in Kindness.
In today's podcast, you will hear another attribute of God that should be displayed in your life. By operating in loyalty, you will not only show how God has moved into your life, but you will show how your relationships have become meaningful and long-lasting because of the loyalty that you have shown to them. This is not something that happens overnight. There may be times where you are tested to see how loyal you will be. You will have to decide if you will be loyal to God and represent Him OR if you will be loyal to yourself and operate in your own ways. Which way will you choose?
If there was ever a time that one of God's characteristics is something that each person should learn, it is today's topic of "Walking in Honesty." Most people would verbally say that they walk in honesty on a consistent basis and it would be wonderful if people's actions displayed that as well. If you were to look at relationships that have fallen apart or become strained, you may uncover that dishonesty was a reason behind its destruction. Because God wants us "all" to be in fellowship with one another, it becomes crucial that we allow His teachings to manifest inside of us. Honesty is the best policy!

When you think about showing respect to others, you may find yourself having to put self to the side and show respect to someone, even if it is hard to do. God needs you to represent Him in a pleasing way. Also, there may be times where you need to seek God diligently in order to have respect for yourself. God loves others and He loves you; therefore, it becomes necessary that you respect yourself and feel respected by others also.

You have to be able to talk and listen to Him just as I shared in Chapter One of the book. It is important to keep the lines of communication open with Him regardless of what is taking place in your lives. Although some people pray to God when bad things are happening, He wants you to also pray to Him when things are good. Praying to God is necessary and should be done on a consistent basis.

Many times, people will say that they have displayed strength when they have faced obstacles in life. Although that may be true, the goal becomes to display strength not only in a physical and mental capacity, but also in a spiritual capacity. This will require you to spend the quality time with God that is necessary so that you can hear the Holy Spirit and operate in His voice regardless of what you are faced with.
Forgiveness can be a difficult characteristic of God to embrace. When you feel hurt or upset, especially from someone that may have caused it, it becomes hard to "turn the other cheek". However, God requires it. We all want to be forgiven by God, so it becomes necessary to operate in forgiveness with others as well as with yourself. You don't want to continue to keep living in hurt and pain, especially from the past, so allow yourself to develop this characteristic of God so that you can be free from all of it.
As you listen to today's podcast, I will continue to explore how all of us are to walk in humility. It becomes necessary to make a choice of putting self to the side. As you will hear, Jesus taught us lessons of how to show service to others. Although it may be difficult at times, He still wants each of us to be concerned about the well-being of others, even if it challenges how you operate in the leadership roles that you have. Allow God's voice to be the guidance that you need in displaying a heart of humility.
As things can become more complicated in today's world, it can be challenging to keep your peace. You must allow yourself to be open in receiving it when it does come your way. When God is trying to keep you in a state of peace, it becomes important to hear His teachings so that you can rest on His guidance and not your own. By staying in obedience to Him, this will help you to walk in peace daily.
In today's podcast, I revisit how the adversary can cause you to get consumed into your own thoughts and desires hoping that you will give in to a selfish nature. As you have learned over time, it becomes important to listen to God instead of the enemy. The more you spend time with God, your desires begin to change. You will start to feel His love and embrace it in such a way that you intentionally seek God more. You "want" to praise and worship Him because of the love that you have for Him and you will also have an openness to express genuine love to others.

Today, you will see how the first root from the Seed of Peril can be planted into you. It becomes important for you to feel what you feel when you are experiencing the passing of a loved one. Take it one day at a time and allow God to heal your heart.

Will you follow the will of God or will you continue to rebel against God and do things the way that you want to do them? It is a choice that you will always have to make moving forward.

Listening to His voice through the Holy Spirit will teach you how to have hope in life's challenges. Prayerfully, you will do so one step at a time by praying, studying His Word, and seeking Him faithfully each day.

If you listen to the voice of the adversary, you will see that the next root is planted into you from the Seed of Rebellion which is the Root of Siege. Within this root, you will find yourself dealing with more opposition and therefore, causing roadblocks to occur. This becomes unfortunate for you because not only does it make your life more complicated, it can cause a delay in your progress. What will you do moving forward to change this current dilemma?
As this new root from the Seed of Rebellion starts to evolve inside of you, it not only shows you the downward destruction that can happen to you, but others will see your aggressive demeanor and they will start to put distance with you as well. It becomes so important to listen to the voice of God and allow His voice to be the guiding force to help you to turn from the path that you are on and to start a new route of obedience with Him.
In Part 2 of the Seed of Rebellion, I continue to share with you some examples of how the Seed of Rebellion can cause you to treat others unfairly or it could cause you to react to things selfishly. Either way is not the way that God would want you to be. He wants you to use the gifts and talents that He has placed inside of you to serve others in a positive way and to represent Him in a pleasing manner. Please continue to seek His voice so that you can be who you are supposed to be...an image of God.
As you continue to be on this journey with God, there are times that you choose to follow Him and then there are times where you may do things outside of His Will. The disobedience that you choose may not seem as bad in the beginning of it, but over time, the adversary will continue to guide you to a path of negativity and destructive outcomes. Prayerfully, you will say no to the enemy (and even yourself) and yes to God so that you can stay on the right and purposeful path with the Lord.

There are times that some things can be minimized or you may not have a care or concern about what others may be going through. It is one thing to respect someone's privacy but it is a totally different thing to disregard their situation completely. God wants you to be proactive in showing compassion when you see someone hurting or suffering. Be the vessel that He has called you to be and be obedient to what He has told you to do.
In today's podcast, you will hear how God's Seed of Survival - The Seed of Compassion can be planted into you to uproot the Seed and Roots of Disregard if you continue to remain open in hearing His voice. You will see that in order to operate in this new seed, you will need to put self to the side and allow your compassion to be displayed to others. The true test is when you have a sincere heart for someone who may have done something wrong to you and instead of wanting bad to happen to them, you show a heart of compassion. Learn from Jonah and represent God in a pleasing way.
As you listen to the podcast today, you will hear how the Root of Frustration (the last destructive root that comes from the Seed of Disregard) can cause more challenges in your life. When you are at this stage, it becomes hard to see the positive in things, sometimes in anything. It will take some conscious effort to not re-live things continuously, especially if it is going to take you down a path of frustrations and pain. Learn from Jonah's life and allow God to move in your life in a positive way. It will take for you to keep the focus on Him so that He can guide you to a more uplifting outcome.
As the next root starts to develop from the Seed of Disregard, you will see yourself falling into a deeper level of turmoil within. When you are in the Root of Despair, you don't see ways of overcoming challenges in your life. As things start to spiral downward, you not only don't have the motivation to pull yourself out, but you don't have a desire to do so. Things seem hopeless and you have a hard time trying to decipher what to do next. It is at this time that you will need to seek God with your whole heart and allow Him to minister to you where you are. Trust Him because He already knows.
In today's podcast, you will hear how the first root (The Root of Indifference) can be developed from the Seed of Disregard if you allow the adversary to whisper into your ear to create negative thoughts into your mind. He will keep trying to get you to ignore, avoid, or become indifferent with the people who may be around you or with people in general. The more you become desensitized to people's lives, the more you stay on his path of destruction. Please listen to the voice of God and allow His Words to resonate in you so that you can keep relating to others in a positive way.
In today's podcast, you hear how a new destructive seed (The Seed of Disregard) can be planted into you if you choose not to seek God's voice. This particular seed can cause you to either minimize the things or people who are around you or to not care at all. This seed creates a negative persona within you which causes you to not show a feeling of concern, an act of kindness, or a level of compassion for another human being. It becomes important for you to not allow the adversary to create this type of mindset inside of you. Seek God and listen to Him at all times.
As you continue to seek God and follow His will, there may be times where you may not do what is expected of you because you don't feel like it. As time goes on, you may not see things moving in the direction that you would like for them to go. It will require you to want to follow and to listen to God. It will require you to be obedient and disciplined to what He is asking you to do. It will require you to let go of the things that cause a self-centeredness to keep existing. When you have a submissive will to God, your outlook on life changes and your vision becomes more God-centered.
As you start your day, I hope things are getting better with you in spending time with God. It becomes important to make the necessary time so that you can hear His voice and know what your next steps should be. Also, there may be times where things become difficult to achieve and you may not want to continue on your journey. Please don't get discouraged and try your best to find a way to dig deep so that you can stay obedient to the assignment that He has given you. Things may get challenging but not impossible. Follow God's lead and let Him guide you each step of the way.
As you journeyed through the Seed of Jealousy and the Roots of Grudging, Judging, Vengeance and God's Seed of Faith, how will you apply the information to your own life? What steps will you make to not only prevent you from operating as Joseph's siblings did, but what things will you do moving forward to show that you will have complete trust or FAITH in God? The Root of Jealousy can affect you in different ways. As you listen to today's podcast, I will be sharing with you the effects that "inward judgments" can have upon you and how God wants you to trust in what He has placed inside of you.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will hear that there are situations that can cause you to stay stuck in them and as a result, the first root from the Seed of Jealousy can form which is the Root of Grudging. Within this root, the adversary will try to keep replaying in your mind all of the things that have caused hurt, or frustrations, or even insecurities. If you allow yourself to go down that path, you will find yourself reliving things that God has tried to heal and deliver you from. Find a way to listen to God's voice so that you can keep the past in the past.
When the adversary plants the Seed of Jealousy into you, he tries to make sure that you are looking at other people's progression in life. The goal for him is for you to compare yourself to them and conclude that your life is not going well while also creating resentment of them inside of you. You must find a way to turn off that negative voice and listen to what God is saying to you. God knows where you are in life and He is still preparing you to be the child of God that He needs you to be. Please try your best to look inwardly to God and allow Him to be the focus that you keep.
As I share with you some insight from Chapter 8 of the book, you will hear how important it is to connect and be guided by God. As you focus on your goals, it becomes necessary to be in tune to God's voice because the enemy will try to find different ways of distracting you to take you off of your path. As you listen to today's podcast, you will see how helping others can also be challenging and why God needs you to maintain balance in your life.
As you journey on this earth, there will be opportunities for you to grow. There may also be times where you will need to make some choices in your life that will cause change to occur. If you keep an open mind, you will be able to see how God guides you on the path that you are on. However, if your focus becomes centered on you and you alone, you can have some challenges that probably could have been avoided. Allow your heart and mind to be open to receive the guidance and direction that He wants you to have.
As you try to apply all that you have heard and learned with the seed and roots of idols, stay encouraged. Some situations may be hard to handle with yourself and some may be hard to deal with in others. If you continue to keep God front and center, He will help you and lead you into the direction you need to be going in. Believe in Him and also, believe in yourself.
As you continue to listen to Part 2 from the Seed of Deliverance, please allow yourself to be open in hearing the voice of God. Regardless of what has happened in your life, God can still turn things around for the better for you, but you must be willing to let Him guide you. Prayerfully, you will start a new journey with Him as you give yourself the permission to be free.
Although the Seed of Idols and its roots may have had a detrimental hold on you, God always has a plan to help you conquer the attacks from the enemy. The more you keep listening to God's voice and staying obedient to what He has told you to do, the more you will be delivered from these acts of destruction that the enemy tries to tempt you with. As you listen to today's podcast, stay encouraged and know that God wants the best for you.
As I continue to share about this last root from the Seed of Idols, you will see that it is one thing to have this root inside of you. It becomes even more challenging to deal with someone else that has this root inside of them. How do you handle it when they have wronged you? What steps do you take in trying to resolve the situation? Prayerfully, you will include God in every step that you take with others as well as with your own self.
When the adversary has you participating in this root, it can have a major stronghold on you. You will want to continue in it and it will be up to you to make the conscious choice to follow in the will of God or to continue to operate in how you want to do things, regardless of the hurt that it may cause others, and yes, even "you." You will have to be committed to God completely in order to break from this root. Are you willing to do so?
The adversary continues to keep the focus on you as he tries to have a deeper hold on you by creating a new root from the Seed of Idols. Within this root, things become even more challenging for you because you don't want to see things any other way except for how you can benefit and people will start to disassociate themselves from you. It will take a conscious effort from you to break this inner mentality. Are you willing to do so? If not, what keeps you here?
Today, you will see how the enemy can start to form a new root from the Seed of Idols if you continue to follow his narrative. Within this new root, you will be consumed with self and you don't have a problem letting people know of your success. Allow God to minister to you. It is not a problem to share those things but there should be a balance in celebrating self and celebrating others also.
When this new seed is planted into you, it can come in various forms depending on how much time, emphasis, and power that you give it. Regardless of what idols have formed, it will require you to make God the priority in your life as He helps you prevent these idols from developing and growing stronger. It will take effort, but you can do it with God's guidance.
There will always be times where you will need to make a choice of doing things to please self or doing things to please God. As you seek God and listen to His guidance, it will help you to become more obedient to Him. Although things will continue to affect you and/or influence you, it will be your actions that determines your stand on things and who you choose to serve.
Hopefully and prayerfully, your relationship with God continues to grow and you are starting to hear His voice with more clarity. The adversary will continue to try to get you off of your path by influencing you to indulge into certain wants and desires that you may have. You will need to seek God even more so that He can guide you into receiving the things that are from Him and not the things that can cause you to spiral downward.
There will always be a choice to make on how to deal with situations, whether positive or negative ones that come upon you. As you try to determine which direction to go in, allow God to be your guide. Some things are harder than others but He will equip you with everything that you need to make it through.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will discover the new seed that can uproot and conquer the Seed of Worry and the roots that come from it. This new seed can require some time and you may go through a process in order to master it, but with God things will work out for your good and God's glory. This becomes evident when you listen and see how Job continued to handle things in his life.
There are times where worry and anxiety are used in similar ways, but there are distinctions between the two. Although things may be uncertain to you, God knows exactly what is going on and He wants to help you through it. Prayerfully, you will open up to Him and allow Him to guide you every step of the way.
The adversary will continue to take hold of you if you allow his voice to reign inside of you, causing the next root to take effect and cause even more detriment to you. This root will solicit a reactive response but there are times you can suffer in silence. Listen and see how to handle this root and gain more insight from Job's life as he experienced the root of suffering.
As you listen to today's podcast, things can continue to spiral downward if you keep allowing the adversary to get the best of you. If he does, a new root is planted and it can affect all areas of your life: body, soul, and spirit. See how Job dealt with this root when he was attacked by the enemy. Could you handle it the same way as he did?
As you listen to today's podcast, you will discover a new seed, The Seed of Worry, that can be planted into you by the adversary if you allow the things of the world to consume your mind. Try to remove the distractions that the enemy keeps bringing to you and allow God's voice to be your focal point that guides you to peace.
God is always there. Can you allow yourself to be guided by God and to trust Him in everything that you do on a daily basis? Know that God hears your every prayer and you must believe in that. Listen and learn from Job as you continue to build your own personal relationship with God.
There are so many things that are going on in the world and it can become overwhelming if you allow yourself to get too consumed with all of it. What will you do in the midst of it? Whose voice will you hold onto to give you the peace and the wisdom that you need to get through it?
As you listen today, I share my own thoughts of the anger that people may be experiencing. As you look at our society, there are many things that keep people on the edge. It becomes important to know where that anger stems from. It is the enemy that is pulling the strings and placing the negative thoughts into your minds. How you choose to handle situations either with God or without Him will determine if things evolve positively or negatively.
There are many things that can cause you to be angry and some rightfully so. However, you must keep in mind that you can’t allow the things that you may want to obtain to cause you to lash out onto others. Also, you can’t allow “your” expectations of someone be the driving force of what you think someone else should do for “you”. God has each person on a plan of purpose for Him, so it becomes important to know what that plan is for your own life.
Because you are tired of operating into the Seed and Roots of Anger, you are now open into hearing the voice of God. God plants the Seed of Peace into you to not only help you learn how to process your feelings but so that you can align those feelings to His Word and not be consumed by them. Surrendering to Him completely becomes the key and you will have to do that, just as Moses did. God calls all of us to live in peace with everyone.
As you continue to deal with the Root of Blame, it can become hard to let go of. You will hear that the children of Israel didn’t handle things well also. The hurt and pain that you feel others had caused you may drive you to seek revenge on them; however, you must find a way to heal from it. Learn the lessons that are necessary, and you will be able to grow as God wants you too.
When the Root of Blame is planted into you, there are times that you feel that your hardships or challenges is because of what someone has done to you. Although there may be some things that you may have done in your life, blaming others becomes easier than pulling up your own mirror and holding yourself accountable. As you listen, God wants you to resist the devil so that he will flee from you in your mind and you will make the choices that God wants you to make.
As the Root of Negativism continues to operate into your life, you must realize that it becomes imperative to not allow other people to influence you. Leaders can struggle in this, and they may have to learn how to delegate so that they can do God’s Will, just as Moses had to learn this quality also. Asking others to help not only benefits you, but it allows God to use someone else’s gifts too. As you listen, trust God completely and be open to other ways of doing things.
There are times that negative things can happen to you, and it can keep you stuck in those situations. When the Root of Negativism is planted into you, it can become difficult to push through the painful events of your life. Also, other people can cause you to feel down because of the negative information that they always share with you. Learn how to prevent this type of behavior from resonating into your spirit.
Today, you will continue to hear about the Root of Complaining as you uncover the other component which is being a receiver of complaints. Although you may not be a person who complains, how do you respond to people who complain frequently? Do you hold them accountable? Do you allow them to express themselves and just listen to it? You will see that it may require you to either share your concerns or to be understanding by not putting expectations on them that they may not be able to handle.
If you continue to allow your feelings to be guided by the enemy, you will see that he will start to develop his first root that comes from the Seed of Anger which is the Root of Complaining. The Root of Complaining consists of two components. Today, listen and hear how being a giver of complaints causes you to only think and operate in your own feelings. Because of this, you will see how things can affect you and how Moses dealt with the children of Israel with complaining behaviors.
Although negative things may happen to you, it is up to you on how you will choose to respond to those things. The enemy will keep bringing the situation to you front and center while God is trying to guide you into an opposite direction. As the enemy planted the Seed of Anger with the children of Israel, you will hear how God guided Moses to handle the situation. The Seed of Anger can get planted into you if you allow your feelings and emotions to get the best of you. How will you choose to handle things?
As you are trying to listen to God, it can be challenging on how to process His answers for your life. When you want a specific answer, His response may not be in the way you want it and as a result, you may not accept His answer and do things the way you want them to be done. God will never leave you nor forsake you, so you must trust Him in everything. You will hear that Moses had to learn that also.
It becomes important to understand that as a human being, you have three main components: a body, soul, and a spirit. Once you understand how each one guides you, it will become necessary to process how you can be drawn in by your feelings on a situation. Operating in your emotions can cause both positive and negative reactions. Listen to God and allow Him to guide you on what He says and sees is best for your life.
At some point when negative things come upon you, you must find a way to do the opposite of what it is saying. If you are alone, find someone to connect with so that you can build a positive relationship with them. Sometimes, the best way to overcome situations in your life is to do something positive into someone else’s life. Listen and see how saying “no” to the enemy and “yes” to God can be a benefit to both you and others.
As you have been dealing with The Seed of Loneliness, by now you can see how there can be a step-by-step process that can keep you in a mental and emotional state of feeling alone. God does not want you to live in that state. He wants you to know that He is always there. God plants the Seed of Respect into you, and He wants you to respect yourself and to respect others. When God puts His stamp of approval on you, you are validated by Him so hold onto that. Listen and see how God had respect for King Saul even within all the things he went through.
Although life can be very hard, it can also bring joyful and wonderful experiences. However, when negative things happen, there is a tendency to hold onto those situations and minimize the great things. These are the ways that the enemy seeks to destroy you. You are worthy, valued, significant, unique, and loved unconditionally. Please don’t minimize who you have been created to be. God created you specifically for a defined purpose so you must keep living and believing in yourself that you CAN reach and fulfill all that God has for you.
Because fear can cause deeper levels of isolation, you may not feel comfortable being in a relationship. You must continue to hold onto what God tells you and all the things that He has equipped you with to overcome this root. God wants you to connect with others. He also wants you to let go of situations that were not favorable in your life. Listen and learn how to use those things as tools for growth and not crutches of despair.
Many people struggle with fear. There are many things that people have a fear of so it can be a strong root that can be hard to overcome, but it is not impossible. The goal for the enemy is to make you feel as if you don’t have what it takes to overcome it. King Saul also operated in fear and didn’t handle things the way he needed to. Listen and see the different ways that fear can consume you and how you should respond to it.
As I continue the discussion from yesterday on The Root of Rejection, it becomes important to decide whose voice you will continue to keep listening to, God’s voice or the enemy’s voice. There will always be things that can challenge you, but you must believe that God is still working behind the scenes to help you. Listen to see how King Saul chose to do things and how it worked out for him. You must learn how to trust God in EVERYTHING!
In some instances, the enemy doesn’t have to work as hard in forming the Root of Rejection into you. You may be at the crossroads of life, so you don’t know what to do next. You seem to hold onto all the negative things that have happened to you, and it causes you to feel as if no one is there. You must find a way to muster up the courage and believe that your life is significant. Always know that God wants to use you to do a mighty work for Him.
As I continue the discussions on the Seed of Loneliness, one of the ways that the enemy can trick you is to make you think that you don’t need anyone, not even God. As he isolates you, you will start to get content and believe that you are in total control. As you see how King Saul handled things in his own life, learn from him and make sure that you are including God in all the decisions that you make. You will be glad that you did.
As your journey continues in self-discovery, how open are you? Do you allow yourself to engage with others or do you stay to yourself? The enemy would love to keep you by yourself so he plants the Seed of Loneliness into you so that he can keep placing thoughts into your mind to make you doubt yourself and feel insecure. God wants you to learn how to step outside of your box and discover who you really are with Him. Keep spending time with God to find out.
It becomes important that you understand one major thing while you are here on this earth…you are NOT alone. God is always with you and by connecting to Jesus, you will see Him in a different way. The enemy will always keep trying to convince you differently, but it becomes important to turn off his voice and learn how to listen to the voice of God.
I shared with you yesterday the Plan of Salvation and how to connect with Jesus. Once you have done that, it becomes important to make sure that you learn how to forgive others. Being one of God’s children means also acting like He does. You must be willing to operate in the same characteristics that He does. You will also see how God restored David’s kingdom through one of David’s sons. David’s son touched God’s heart because of what he asked God for as he became king. Always know that God searches the hearts of man.
As you listen to today’s podcast, you will uncover one of God’s most rewarding and necessary character traits that He has bestowed on everyone and that is the Seed of Forgiveness. The forgiveness that He grants to you is not only powerful, but it continues to show the unconditional love that He has for His people. If you haven’t met Him, you can listen, follow, and acknowledge the Plan of Salvation for yourself or to be willing to share it to someone else who may not know Him.
As God plants His new seed into you, you will see that things not only work better for you, but you have a willing desire to seek God more to please Him instead of pleasing self. You will recognize that your level of contentment is worth the effort and you realize more and more that you didn't need the things that you thought you needed or desired. Trust God's voice just as Samson did and know that God has you.
Today, I will pick up from yesterday's overview of Section 1. There are going to be things that influence you in the world that can cause you to get off the path that God has you on. Have you been able to operate in God's Seeds of Survival or are you operating in the adversary's seeds of destruction? Hopefully, you have been putting the work in and you have allowed the Bible and the books of Conquering the Seeds of Destruction to help you.
Today, I will be covering a brief overview of what I have covered so far in dealing with the seeds and roots of destruction. I pray that you will make a commitment to do the necessary work that is found in the book and the workbook. Learn from the people in the Bible and implement the tools from the books to achieve the life of abundance God has for you.
As we all have been approaching Easter Sunday/Resurrection Day this week, I wanted to reflect on the precious sacrifice that was made for all of mankind. Jesus Christ suffered a horrific death to pay for the sins of man. Because of his unconditional love, He saved us and allowed us to be restored back to a right relationship with God. He gives us the choice to accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Prayerfully, each person will accept Him and develop a personal relationship with Him because our spirit yearns to be back home with God. May we all praise and worship Him ALWAYS!
Receiving salvation is one of the greatest things on earth for each person to have. After you have repented of your sins, acknowledged that Jesus shed His blood, died, and resurrected, and you accept Him as your Lord and Savior, then you begin to live your life for Him. As you spend time with Him, you will develop a close and "personal" relationship with Him. As you seek Him daily, I pray that you choose to follow Him and do things according to His Will. Some days will be easy while other days will be difficult but you can make it if you keep trusting Him in everything.
When it comes to making sacrifices, there are times that some people just don't want to do that. They don't want to deprive themselves of things. Their mentality is to get whatever they can get at all costs with the mindset that it will also benefit them. God wants people to make sacrifices to help Him and to help others but He also states that "obedience is better than sacrifice." Regardless of how much sacrifice that you may do in your life, God still wants you to be obedient to Him. Which will you choose moving forward?
In order to walk in discernment, it will require you to not only spend time with God, but it will also be necessary that you are recognize His voice when He speaks to you. When you are consistently spending time with Him in His Word and you see how God is guiding you, you will be able to know what your next moves should be. If by chance things don't go in the way that you anticipated, please don't get discouraged. God is still with you and always has a plan for your good and His glory.
God gives each of us mercy, even when we don't deserve it. Although there is a goal to be obedient to Him, sometimes the selfish nature can get the best of you and you will do whatever you want to do, whenever you want to do it. If things start to spiral downward because of the desire to please self, it is then that you may seek God to ask Him for forgiveness and to have mercy over your life. He wants you to stay in obedience to Him consistently so that you can operate in His mercy on a continual basis. Will you make a commitment to Him?
One of the things that many people struggle with is their lack of healing from past hurts. There are times that people may think that they have healed from a difficult situation only to realize that there are some areas that they still need to work on. The situation that they experienced may be partially healed but not completely healed. As a result, they haven't let go of it nor have they forgiven themselves, the situation, or others involved. It becomes crucial to allow God into your heart and allow Him to get down to the deepest areas of your pain so that you can operate in healing completely.
One of the things that God gives you is the freedom to choose. As your relationship has developed, prayerfully you are choosing Him more in your life versus doing things your way. The choices that you make will dictate how the outcome will be on your situations, your decisions, and your life. Following God and trusting Him in everything continues to show who you represent and it will be God's Will being displayed in your life.
When people are trying to get ahead in life, you will see that they put the effort into it and work hard to reach their desired goals and dreams. Most of the time, they are able to achieve what they set out to accomplish. What happens if you see people putting the effort into a situation but they have hidden motives and agendas behind it? Their main goals are selfish in nature. Unfortunately, those types of situations can lead to destruction and pain which is why it is important to ask God to guide you every step of the way. He wants you to put the effort into accomplishing the plan He has for you.
How often do you trust others? Do you trust people completely or partially? Do you trust people when they have "proven" themselves to be trusted? Can you be trusted? One more to add...how much do you trust God? It is questions like these that will be discussed today. People have different reasons of why they trust and why they don't trust others or even God. In situations where they don't trust, many times it stems from a past hurt or a wrongdoing that took place. It will require healing, forgiveness, and learning the lesson to be learned in order to really move forward.
As you listen to today's podcast, prayerfully, it will cause you to reflect on how you show positivity to others. Although you may know the difference between good vs evil, does your actions display good or do you find yourself being more negative to the situations that come your way? I know certain things can affect you in different ways so it becomes important to seek God consistently so that He can help you through some of those rough days that may take you down a negative path.
As you continue to grow with God especially in your relationship with Him, you will see that your level of confidence is building up inside of you. You will be able to determine this as you are faced with challenges in your life and how you decide to handle them. Regardless of how bad things can get, you have it inside of you to keep pushing, to keep believing, and to keep trusting in God to get you to your destination. Know that God has your best interest at heart and you must have the confidence to make things happen for yourself, and most importantly, to make things happen for God.
In today's podcast, you are able to see another characteristic of God which is the ability to operate in excellence. There are times where it may seem natural to do so because of the goals that you are trying to achieve. The challenge that can come about is when the things that God is guiding you too are not appealing to you nor are they things that you want to do. Because of your obedience to Him, you follow His lead and discover a new, heartfelt, and more valuable way to operate in excellence. You now look at this characteristic with selfless eyes instead of selfish ones as you do His Will.
In today's podcast, I share another attribute of God which is Operating in Good Morals. In our society today, you are faced with the decision of making a good choice or a bad one. There are times where your decisions can be uncomfortable or you can go down a negative path, especially if there are selfish motives taking place. It becomes important to allow your thoughts to be aligned with the Word of God so that He can guide you into operating in an image of who He is.
When you are developing this attribute from God, please stay encouraged. As long as you are checking in with God, you should be able to have some peace with the things that you are undertaking. Also, you will see that the more that your relationship with God grows, your desires become aligned to what He wants you to do instead of you doing the things that just please self. You will see that this helps your determination to be more focused and God centered which ultimately helps you to accomplish His will.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will be asked on how you display strength. Many people look at strength in different ways. Some people describe it based on their physical strength while others explain people's level of strength based on how they handle situations mentally and emotionally. This can be shown by responding in silence instead of reacting to a situation. Through it all, allow God to guide you into handling situations with His strength and responding in a way that is pleasing to Him.
As you listen to today's podcast on Encouragement, it is an attribute that we all would like to encounter at some point in our lives. Whether you are gifted naturally in giving encouragement to others or you are the one who needs to experience it yourself, a feeling of encouragement in a situation can help a person to keep going, to keep seeking, and to keep living. Throughout the Bible, God displays encouragement to each soul with the hopes that no one feels defeated by the adversary. Allow God to minister to you and to give you the encouragement that you need.
In today's podcast, you will hear another attribute of God that should be displayed in your life. By operating in loyalty, you will not only show how God has moved into your life, but you will show how your relationships have become meaningful and long-lasting because of the loyalty that you have shown to them. This is not something that happens overnight. There may be times where you are tested to see how loyal you will be. You will have to decide if you will be loyal to God and represent Him OR if you will be loyal to yourself and operate in your own ways. Which way will you choose?
If there was ever a time that one of God's characteristics is something that each person should learn, it is today's topic of "Walking in Honesty." Most people would verbally say that they walk in honesty on a consistent basis and it would be wonderful if people's actions displayed that as well. If you were to look at relationships that have fallen apart or become strained, you may uncover that dishonesty was a reason behind its destruction. Because God wants us "all" to be in fellowship with one another, it becomes crucial that we allow His teachings to manifest inside of us. Honesty is the best policy!
One important characteristic that God wants you to embrace and apply is His characteristic of showing forgiveness to others as well as with yourself. He doesn't want you to show anger, revenge, and judgement to others who have wronged you. Although your pain may be raw and you don't understand why they have treated you this way, God still wants you to forgive them. God also wants you to forgive yourself and not stay in a feeling of condemnation, especially if you stayed in a situation longer than you needed too. Believe that God is always there for you and operate in forgiveness.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will continue to hear the discussion on God's characteristics and how we are to learn and embrace them on a daily basis. When you think about showing respect to others, you may find yourself having to put self to the side and show respect to someone, even if it is hard to do. God needs you to represent Him in a pleasing way. Also, there may be times where you need to seek God diligently in order to have respect for yourself. God loves others and He loves you; therefore, it becomes necessary that you respect yourself and feel respected by others also.
In today's podcast, I share the importance of communicating with God. When you are building your relationship with Him, it becomes important to keep a two-way dialogue with Him. You have to be able to talk and listen to Him just as I shared in Chapter One of the book. It is important to keep the lines of communication open with Him regardless of what is taking place in your lives. Although some people pray to God when bad things are happening, He wants you to also pray to Him when things are good. Praying to God is necessary and should be done on a consistent basis.
When the Fruit of Temperance (Self-Control) is developed inside of you, you may find that you will revisit some situations that you believe that you have already overcome. It will be up to you to decide how you will move forward. Will you get distracted and give in to the tempations of your past or will you stand true to yourself and to God to show that those situations are behind you? Prayerfully, you will keep moving forward and be ready to experience your next level of growth with the Fruit of Temperance.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will hear another fruit that the Holy Spirit is trying to get you to embrace on a deeper level. When you operate in the Fruit of Meekness, it is not a sign of weakness. As you allow the Holy Spirit to help you walk in the Fruit of Meekness, you will see that your acts of humility towards others will not only give them a feeling of encouragement and comfort, but you will see that it will also give the same to you.
Now that you have been building your relationship with God, prayerfully you have the faith to seek God in your day-to-day walk. As the Holy Spirit continues to take you to a deeper level with The Fruit of Faith, you may discover that it will require you to remember how He has brought you through past situations so that you can have the confidence and the strength to overcome a bigger battle that you may be faced with today. Please stay encouraged that He is still with you and you must keep trusting Him in everything that you do and that comes your way. You got this. Keep the Faith!
There are times where it may be difficult to show goodness or to receive goodness from a person. When you allow your efforts and actions to be guided by God, then it won't seem as if it is a struggle. If you allow your mind to stay focused on doing things to please God, then He will tell you what you need to do. You will then see that you won't be conscious about how you can benefit from something. The Holy Spirit will show you how to listen to Him so that you can represent God and show goodness to someone who needs to experience it and prayerfully, experience Him through you.
As you continue to embrace the Fruit of the Spirit, you will hear another fruit being discussed today which is the Fruit of Gentleness or Kindness. This fruit is something that we have been showing more of, especially with all of the things that have happened because of the pandemic. It is always so heartwarming to hear and see people show kindness to those that need some extra help and attention. It is also just good for people to show kindness just for the sake of it, even if someone is not in need. God wants us to represent Him in a pleasing way and being kind to others is one way to do so.
In today's podcast, you will hear how the Fruit of Longsuffering can be developed in you. When you go through the challenges of life, there are times where you don't know how you may make it. When you trust God to help you through your storm, you will begin to see the strength and the endurance that you possess. By relying on Him to help you, you put the focus more on Him than on yourself. As a result, you operate in Him guiding you through some of your most challenging of times and you see that He was always by your side.
The Fruit of Peace is a part of the Spirit that all of us seek after. The phrase "peace of mind is priceless" is a phrase that holds so much truth regardless of what you may be going through. Experiencing peace from God is something that we all strive to attain. Although you may feel that you have peace, when your peace is being guided by God you feel it deeper in your spirit and you know that you can whether any storm that comes your way. Always hold on to God's unchanging hand.
In today's podcast, you will hear how to operate in another Fruit of the Spirit, The Fruit of Joy. There are times that joy and happiness are used interchangeably but there are distinct differences between them. As you listen, you will hear some scenarios where you can decide which one exists. When you are experiencing "unspeakable joy", you will know without a doubt that it is more than just an emotion of happiness. You feel the Spirit of God moving inside of you. The relationship that you have with Him keeps you praising Him while also feeling humbled and grateful to know Him.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will continue to hear how the Fruit of Love can grow inside of you by trusting God. God's actions and His character display love throughout the Bible. As you listen to His voice through the people that He had a relationship with, you will see how each person was guided by God to display His characteristics onto others. God teaches love and wants you to embody this Fruit of the Spirit in everything that you do. Even in the difficult times, your feelings of love will outweigh any negative feelings that the enemy wants you to embrace.
As you seek the voice of the Holy Spirit, He will begin to work on things that are in your life that keep you from living a life of abundance with Him. One of the main characteristics of Him is that He operates in love on a consistent and daily basis. Although you may have hurt feelings or your emotions keep you in a bitter or hateful demeanor, the Holy Spirit can work in you (if you allow Him) and soften and heal the pain that you feel. When you develop the Fruit of Love, you will not only be obedient to what He wants, but you will see that you spent too much time in negativity.
In today's podcast, you will begin to hear the importance of connecting with the Holy Spirit. God speaks to you through the Holy Spirit and you must be open to hearing His voice. He is there with you and He wants to help you in everything that you experience on earth. Regardless of what you have gone through thus far, God is still there and will continue to be there if you allow Him into your mind and your heart. It will be up to you to make a conscious choice to develop a personal relationship with Him. God is there with open arms ready to welcome you in.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will hear how to apply some of the things that you have learned in Chapter 12. If the lines of communication don't remain open as well as people choosing not to be accountable or responsible for their actions, then the struggles become harder to overcome but not impossible. God is Love and He wants you to come to Him sooner than later so that you can avoid the enemy's tricks of deception. Whether you are young or old, allow God to guide you so that you can give love and receive love in a way that is pleasing in his eyesight.
In today's podcast, you will hear a more indepth conversation of how the husband and the wife may have challenges due to past experiences, upbringings, and environments. Because of this, it becomes important for communication to be strong between the two of them and love being displayed. The Seed of Love may need to be shown consistently so that they are willing to be open in their communication. By doing this, each person will see the hand of God working in the relationship.
As you listen to Part 2 of God's Seed of Survival - The Seed of Love, you will hear different scenarios and how they may cause people to react in a certain way. What keeps people divided? Why do people react negatively instead of positively in a situation? Why do people choose to hate instead of choosing to love? Why do you think that you should give into your physical desires with another person when God has already blessed you with a spouse to love? Trust in God and what He has given you to love.
In today's podcast, you will hear God's Seed of Survival, The Seed of Love, that will uproot all of the destructive seed and roots that are planted into you from the Seed of Lust. As you listen, you will hear the importance of operating in love and allowing God's love to reign into your heart in a way that is pleasing to Him. Although you may want to express love in a physical way, God wants you to be guided by Him to do things in a way that you are staying true to your spiritual connection to Him. Allow His Love to teach you how to express love to others.
As you listen to the final destructive root from the Seed of Lust that can be planted into you by the enemy, I pray that you are learning and growing from his destructive patterns that can tempt you with your desires. Although it may seem harmless in the beginning, his goal is never to be harmless. His goal is to cause as much turmoil in your life, especially with your spouse. He knows that by doing this, it breaks the covenant that was built by God. I pray that you will always seek God and allow Him to be the guidance and stability that you need to keep the peace within your relationships.
In today's podcast, I will continue to share how the adversary can plant another new root into you if you choose to listen to him and that new root is the Root of Prostitution. Within this root, you will hear the parallel stories of how Gomer dealt with Hosea and how Israel dealt with God in their disobedience to each one. This root deals with one's own selfishness. You can also see the extended bodily harm that can happen within this root with STDs that can form. It becomes necessary to listen to God at all times to avoid the sexual temptations and desires that can cause destruction.
This additional root that comes from the Root of Non-Consensual Fornication can be a very difficult and complex root to handle. Within this root, the adversary twists things around causing either you to have sexual desires towards a family member or a relative has forced their desires upon you. Either way, it is not what God wants for your life. You must find a way to stop this behavior. It will take counseling from God and from an experienced professional to help you break-free from these thoughts and desires. You must take the first step to make the change. Will you do it?
As you listen to today's podcast, you will hear how another root from the Root of Non-Consensual Fornication can be formed inside of you. This particular root can have a stronghold on you that will be difficult to uproot. The root of molestation can be formed from other people's physical aggressions upon you, whether they are close to you or distant. Depending on what they also feed into your mind, it can be very hard to overcome from, but not impossible. Please allow yourself to open up to God and allow Him to help you and heal you from the deepest parts of your pain.
In today's podcast, you will hear the other side of fornication being formed which is the root of non-consensual fornication. This level of fornication is so much harder to deal with because these sexual desires are forced upon a person. When the adversary plants this root into a person, the aggressor's main goal is to fulfill their desire without being concerned about the damage that it causes the other person. If this root has been forced upon you, please allow yourself to seek the counsel and help that you need to get through this.
As you continue to listen to the next subroot that is formed from the main root of the Root of Consensual Fornication, you will see how the enemy keeps trying to deepen this root to make you consumed with your desires. You will hear how the root of pornography provides more challenges because the enemy intertwines it with getting or paying money for the fulfillment of your desires. You must not allow yourself to get caught up in the schemes of his deception. Seek God and allow God to help you to get your desires under control.
As you listen to today's podcast, I will continue to share how the adversary deepens his hold onto you by developing the Root of Consensual Fornication so that it can grow and go into another direction of destruction. As your sexual desires deepen, he will want you to act upon them even if it is within yourself. You may not feel comfortable in talking with God, but God already knows your struggles. As difficult as the conversation may be with God, He still wants you to seek Him so that He can teach you how to escape these desires and have the discipline that you need to push through.
Within this podcast and those moving forward in Chapter 12, Parental Discretion is Advised especially for children and youth who may be listening. As the adversary tries to plant this root into you, you will hear how it starts and how the covenant that you have with God can be broken. The Root of Consensual Fornication can cause an internal war to take place and you struggle on how to handle it. It becomes important to seek God daily and allow His guidance to be the spiritual force that you need within to help you deal with these desires.
In today's podcast, I continue the discussion on the Seed of Lust and how the adversary tries to influence you by operating in your desires. Although you will make the choice to participate, he will try to give you reasons of why you need to fulfill what you may be experiencing. You may want to do so also but will it please God? Is that what God wants for you? As you listen to what Joseph went through, learn from his life and trust in what God is guiding you to do.
Within this chapter, parental discretion is advised due to the sexual nature of this chapter. As you listen to today's podcast, you will hear how the enemy can plant the Seed of Lust into you. This particular seed is one that will be discussed in length because it is one that can cause extensive damage to relationships that you have built. Although it is up to you to make the conscious choice to participate in it (just like the other seeds), the adversary will make this seed front and center to you so that you will give in to your desires of lust in a physical way. Can you deny your flesh?
In today's podcast, you will hear how God wants a close and personal relationship with you. He wants you to be proactive in building one with Him as He has always wanted. There are times where the emphasis is placed on building relationships with others and then He is thought about if your relationship with another person starts to have problems or issues. Although He wants you to connect with another person in a biblical way, He still wants you to have a personal relationship with Him first. By doing it this way, you will be guided by Him and have healthier relationships with others.
When you first started this study, one of the things that was asked was the importance of building relationships. In today's podcast, you will revisit the discussion on relationships but it will consist of taking things to a deeper level. Many people start relationships for several different reasons. What things are important to you when you start a relationship? How open are you in expressing your feelings? Are there certain things that will prevent you from moving forward in a relationship? Always remember that it is important to be true to yourself and true to others.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will see that it becomes important to make a conscious choice or decision to be concerned about the needs of others. There are times that some things can be minimized or you may not have a care or concern about what others may be going through. It is one thing to respect someone's privacy but it is a totally different thing to disregard their situation completely. God wants you to be proactive in showing compassion when you see someone hurting or suffering. Be the vessel that He has called you to be and be obedient to what He has told you to do.
In today's podcast, you will hear how God's Seed of Survival - The Seed of Compassion can be planted into you to uproot the Seed and Roots of Disregard if you continue to remain open in hearing His voice. You will see that in order to operate in this new seed, you will need to put self to the side and allow your compassion to be displayed to others. The true test is when you have a sincere heart for someone who may have done something wrong to you and instead of wanting bad to happen to them, you show a heart of compassion. Learn from Jonah and represent God in a pleasing way.
As you listen to the podcast today, you will hear how the Root of Frustration (the last destructive root that comes from the Seed of Disregard) can cause more challenges in your life. When you are at this stage, it becomes hard to see the positive in things, sometimes in anything. It will take some conscious effort to not re-live things continuously, especially if it is going to take you down a path of frustrations and pain. Learn from Jonah's life and allow God to move in your life in a positive way. It will take for you to keep the focus on Him so that He can guide you to a more uplifting outcome.
As the next root starts to develop from the Seed of Disregard, you will see yourself falling into a deeper level of turmoil within. When you are in the Root of Despair, you don't see ways of overcoming challenges in your life. As things start to spiral downward, you not only don't have the motivation to pull yourself out, but you don't have a desire to do so. Things seem hopeless and you have a hard time trying to decipher what to do next. It is at this time that you will need to seek God with your whole heart and allow Him to minister to you where you are. Trust Him because He already knows.
In today's podcast, you will hear how the first root (The Root of Indifference) can be developed from the Seed of Disregard if you allow the adversary to whisper into your ear to create negative thoughts into your mind. He will keep trying to get you to ignore, avoid, or become indifferent with the people who may be around you or with people in general. The more you become desensitized to people's lives, the more you stay on his path of destruction. Please listen to the voice of God and allow His Words to resonate in you so that you can keep relating to others in a positive way.
In today's podcast, you hear how a new destructive seed (The Seed of Disregard) can be planted into you if you choose not to seek God's voice. This particular seed can cause you to either minimize the things or people who are around you or to not care at all. This seed creates a negative persona within you which causes you to not show a feeling of concern, an act of kindness, or a level of compassion for another human being. It becomes important for you to not allow the adversary to create this type of mindset inside of you. Seek God and listen to Him at all times.
As you continue to seek God and follow His will, there may be times where you may not do what is expected of you because you don't feel like it. As time goes on, you may not see things moving in the direction that you would like for them to go. It will require you to want to follow and to listen to God. It will require you to be obedient and disciplined to what He is asking you to do. It will require you to let go of the things that cause a self-centeredness to keep existing. When you have a submissive will to God, your outlook on life changes and your vision becomes more God-centered.
As you start your day, I hope things are getting better with you in spending time with God. It becomes important to make the necessary time so that you can hear His voice and know what your next steps should be. Also, there may be times where things become difficult to achieve and you may not want to continue on your journey. Please don't get discouraged and try your best to find a way to dig deep so that you can stay obedient to the assignment that He has given you. Things may get challenging but not impossible. Follow God's lead and let Him guide you each step of the way.
In today's podcast, I share with you my own challenges with the Seed and Roots of Hunger and how God planted the Seed of Discipline into me. Although you learned from the lives of others in the Bible and you have read in my book my own personal testimonies from each chapter, I decided to share with you my story on today's podcast. I tried to make this relatable with the hopes to give you some encouragement and to let you know that you are not alone, especially if this is a seed (and roots) that you are dealing with. Trust God as I did and let Him help you through it.
Now that you have seen how the Seed and Roots of Hunger can cause destruction into your life, it becomes important to know that you can overcome the temptations and remain in control of your body. There may be times that you want to treat yourself to something that you enjoy, whether it is a meal or an outfit that you want to get. It is not a bad thing as long as it is done in moderation and it keeps you in a healthy state physically, mentally, and emotionally. Allow God to guide you so that you can be whole and complete for Him.
In today's podcast, I continue sharing the accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and how he tried to share that it was more important for people to look at someone's character instead of the color of one's skin. Afterwards, I discuss the importance of each person doing a self-analysis of the type of character that you are currently displaying. It is easy to be vocal on things that you may or may not agree with but what does your silence display when difficult conversations are being discussed? Please make sure that your silence doesn't create more harm or damage than it needs too.

God will continue to guide you to be conscious of how you handle things with your food and in life. You can also learn from the life of Daniel as he showed discipline and commitment to God regardless of what he was ordered to do by King Nebuchadnezzar. Even though there may be things in front of you or you are exposed to situations that can affect you, you will still make a conscious choice to either follow God or not. What will you do?
In today's podcast, you will hear how God's new Seed of Survival, The Seed of Discipline will uproot the Seed and Roots of Hunger if you continue to listen to His voice instead of the voice of the adversary. It will take intentional effort from you but you can do it. There will be times that things may seem difficult OR what you are being told seems impossible to overcome from but know that God is bigger than all of that. Trust God and allow His Will for your life to be the answer instead of the negativity that the enemy wants you to listen to.
In today's podcast, you will hear how the adversary can plant the last root of the Seed of Hunger if you continue to allow his voice to be the main narrative that you listen to in your life. The Root of Disease can function on both ends of the spectrum as it tries to cause destruction in your life by operating in either obesity or anorexia. This root will not be easy to overcome but with God's help, you can be guided by Him to help you to stay balanced physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Today, you will hear how the enemy can plant the next root from the Seed of Hunger if you listen to him. One of the things that is different about this root is that the enemy doesn't have to work as hard in trying to convince you to do things the way he wants you to do them. When you are in the Root of Yielding, you are surrendering to his ways with ease and you choose to keep doing things that way. Whether you like it or not, you don't want to put the effort into changing, so you are living your life without any convictions from God. How long do you think you can keep doing it this way?
When the adversary begins to plant and water this new root called the Root of Distress that forms from the Seed of Hunger, he can cause destruction on either end. Whether you deal with over-eating or under-eating, this root can make your body to become imbalanced. It can also affect your mental and emotional capacity when dealing with it. It becomes so important to recognize that God knows what is happening to you. He wants you to rely on Him to help guide you into a place of balance and peace of who He has created "you" to be and not the voices of others who may influence you.
As you listen to Part 2 from the Seed of Hunger, you will hear how the adversary can cause other people to influence you on your eating habits. It becomes important for you to make sure that you are being guided by God and allowing Him to provide you the information that you need in how you eat and take care of your body. The enemy's influence may start off small in the beginning but as time goes on, you can see how other people's comments can dictate what foods you choose to eat and how much or little you eat. Allow yourself to be influenced by God and also like the person that God created in the mirror.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will hear how the adversary can plant the Seed of Hunger into you if you continue to listen to his voice. The Seed of Hunger can operate in two ways, either over-eating or under-eating. There are many things that can happen with each facet, so it becomes important to recognize what may be happening to you with your food intake and allow God to guide you in the process. Seek Him daily as He helps you to understand your body and its design.
In today's podcast, you will hear how God wants us to be conscious of our temples/bodies, the area where the Holy Spirit resides. As you focus on reaching health goals this year, please allow God to be the voice inside of you that guides the decisions that you make on your daily meals and eating habits. Some days may be better than others but try your best to be conscious of making better choices with the food that you eat so that your body can be strong and healthy.
As you begin the year, many of you have goals, resolutions, and visions that you want to accomplish this year. What will it take for you to keep the consistency that you need in accomplishing everything that you have set forth? Will you include God in your plans? I pray that you will check in with Him daily so that you can be on the path that you need to be on. Stay excited and know that He has a mighty purpose for your life.
Happy New Year! I hope that you are excited about what this year brings and how God will use you to fulfill your purpose on the earth. As you start today, allow today to be a day of reflection. Seek God and ask Him to help you in understanding the lessons that took place in your life while also guiding you to write the vision for your life moving forward. As you write it, remain open so that you can hear the Holy Spirit speak to you. Know that God has a plan for your life and this year is "the year" to execute it. Be Excited, Be Present, and Be Bold in LOVE!
As the year comes to a close, there have been many things that you may have experienced and prayerfully, you have been given some tools to help you conquer those things. Today, I wanted to share another characteristic of God which is the ability to walk in kindness. Although for the most part, it may seem easy to do so, it becomes important also to walk in kindness when you may have been wronged or if you just don't feel like being kind to others. The goal becomes for you to take the focus off of you and to put the focus on God on what He is asking you to do. Be a true representative of Him and Walk in Kindness.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will hear another one of God's characteristics being discussed which is Displaying Strength. Many times, people will say that they have displayed strength when they have faced obstacles in life. Although that may be true, the goal becomes to display strength not only in a physical and mental capacity, but also in a spiritual capacity as well on a consistent basis. This will require you to spend the quality time with God that is necessary so that you can hear the Holy Spirit and operate in His voice regardless of what you are faced with.
Forgiveness can be a difficult characteristic of God to embrace. When you feel hurt or upset, especially from someone that may have caused it, it becomes hard to "turn the other cheek". However, God requires it. We all want to be forgiven by God, so it becomes necessary to operate in forgiveness with others as well as with yourself. You don't want to continue to keep living in hurt and pain, especially from the past so allow yourself to develop this characteristic of God so that you can be free from all of it.
As you listen to today's podcast, I will continue to explore how all of us are to walk in humility. It becomes necessary to make a choice of putting self to the side. As you will hear, Jesus taught us lessons of how to show service to others. Although it may be difficult at times, He still wants each of us to be concerned about the well-being of others, even if it challenges how you operate in the leadership roles that you have. Allow God's voice to be the guidance that you need in displaying a heart of humility.
As things can become more complicated in today's world, it can be challenging to keep your peace. You must allow yourself to be open in receiving it when it does come down your way. When God is trying to keep you in a state of peace, it becomes important to hear His teachings so that you can rest on His guidance and not your own. By staying in obedience to Him, this will help you to walk in peace daily.
On today, I will be celebrating Jesus, Our Lord and Savior. As we are in this season of advent, it is normal to talk about His birth and the love that God had for us by providing the world a precious gift. This sacrifice demonstrated such an unconditional love for each person if they are willing to open up their heart to Him. Whether you find yourself participating in different Christmas activities, shopping, or just being busy as you close-out the year, may you each find the time to enjoy Him. Praise and worship Him for all that He has done for you but more importantly, for who He is.
In today's podcast, I revisit how the adversary can cause you to get consumed into your own thoughts and desires hoping that you will give in to a selfish nature. As you have learned over time, it becomes important to listen to God instead of the enemy. The more you spend time with God, your desires begin to change. You will start to feel His love and embrace it in such a way that you intentionally seek God more. You "want" to praise and worship Him because of the love that you have for Him and you will also have an openness to express genuine love to others.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will continue to reflect on how you are processing this information that has been given to you. Are you hearing God's voice with clarity? Are you able to recognize the enemy's attacks against you and are you able to resist him? Have you been able to spend more time with God in prayer and studying His Word? Prayerfully, you will see a difference in your life. Stay encouraged, stay excited in what God is doing in your life, and enjoy your relationship with Him.
As you have been involved in the Conquering the Seeds of Destruction Study, I pray that it has given you an insight of how destructive seeds and roots can be planted into you. It is up to you to make the conscious choice to want to walk with God to not only remove them, but to grow with Him. If things are not happening for you, see it as a blessing from God and know that God has not left you nor forsaken you. Keep trusting in God and watch what He does in your life.

The enemy will always try to have a deeper hold onto you if your focus is more on what you may want instead of what God wants for you. Each person on the earth has a breaking point; therefore, it is vital for you to understand God's teachings of reaping what you sow. Allow yourself to be influenced by God so that He can guide you into having humility while trusting Him in everything.
Today, you will hear how the adversary can plant the second root into you from the Seed of Jealousy if you are still open into listening to his voice instead of the voice of God. The Root of Jealousy can affect you in different ways. As you listen to today's podcast, I will be sharing with you the effects that "inward judgments" can have upon you and how God wants you to trust in what He has placed inside of you.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will hear that there are situations that can cause you to stay stuck in them and as a result, the first root from the Seed of Jealousy can form which is the Root of Grudging. Within this root, the adversary will try to keep replaying in your mind all of the things that have caused hurt, or frustrations, or even insecurities. If you allow yourself to go down that path, you will find yourself reliving things that God has tried to heal and deliver you from. Find a way to listen to God's voice so that you can keep the past in the past.
When the adversary plants the Seed of Jealousy into you, he tries to make sure that you are looking at other people's progression in life. The goal for him is for you to compare yourself to them and conclude that your life is not going well while also creating resentment of them inside of you. You must find a way to turn off that negative voice and listen to what God is saying to you. God knows where you are in life and He is still preparing you to be the child of God that He needs you to be. Please try your best to look inwardly to God and allow Him to be the focus that you keep.
As I share with you some insight from Chapter 8 of the book, you will hear how important it is to connect and be guided by God. As you focus on your goals, it becomes necessary to be in tune to God's voice because the enemy will try to find different ways of distracting you to take you off of your path. As you listen to today's podcast, you will see how helping others can also be challenging and why God needs you to maintain balance in your life.
As you journey on this earth, there will be opportunities for you to grow. There may also be times where you will need to make some choices in your life that will cause change to occur. If you keep an open mind, you will be able to see how God guides you on the path that you are on. However, if your focus becomes centered on you and you alone, you can have some challenges that probably could have been avoided. Allow your heart and mind to be open to receive the guidance and direction that He wants you to have.
Now that you have seen how the adversary can plant the Seed of Rebellion and its roots into you, I pray that you will embrace the Seed of Hope that God has planted into you and apply it to your life. There will always be challenges that you will face on this earth, but it all depends on how you look at the situation and the position that you choose to take on it. Will you follow the will of God or will you continue to rebel against God and do things the way that you want to do them? It is a choice that you will always have to make moving forward.
As you listen to today's podcast of Part 2 from the Seed of Hope, you will continue to see how God tries to guide you in this seed of survival. Listening to His voice through the Holy Spirit will teach you how to have hope in life's challenges. Even though you may have done things your way and avoided God's voice, He will still give you another chance if you have a sincere heart to turn from a rebellious nature. Prayerfully, you will do so one step at a time by praying, studying His Word, and seeking Him faithfully each day.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will hear the importance of following God and allowing His new seed, The Seed of Hope, to resonate into you. Although things have been challenging for you, all is not lost. Sometimes, hope may be all that you do have. Understand that God didn't bring you this far to leave you so allow His voice to reign in you and to be the guiding force that you need to pick yourself back up again.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will see how the last root can be formed from the Seed of Rebellion which is the Root of Desolation. Although things may seem as if they have gotten the best of you, please don't give up. Regardless of how you may feel, you can still rise above it if you are willing to trust and believe that God will bring you through it all. It is up to you on how you will allow your thoughts to guide you. What step will you take to pull yourself up? Believe in yourself and in God.
If you listen to the voice of the adversary, you will see that the next root is planted into you from the Seed of Rebellion which is the Root of Siege. Within this root, you will find yourself dealing with more opposition and therefore, causing roadblocks to occur. This becomes unfortunate for you because not only does it make your life more complicated, it can cause a delay in your progress. What will you do moving forward to change this current dilemma?
As this new root from the Seed of Rebellion starts to evolve inside of you, it not only shows you the downward destruction that can happen to you, but others will see your aggressive demeanor and they will start to put distance with you as well. It becomes so important to listen to the voice of God and allow His voice to be the guiding force to help you to turn from the path that you are on and to start a new route of obedience with Him.
In Part 2 of the Seed of Rebellion, I continue to share with you some examples of how the Seed of Rebellion can cause you to treat others unfairly or it could cause you to react to things selfishly. Either way is not the way that God would want you to be. He wants you to use the gifts and talents that He has placed inside of you to serve others in a positive way and to represent Him in a pleasing manner. Please continue to seek His voice so that you can be who you are supposed to be...an image of God.
As you listen to today's podcast, I continue to share what I am thankful for. There are so many things to be thankful for and to just be given a a fresh new start each day with God's mercies and grace is a gift within itself. I pray that you can also find ways to thank God for all the things that He has done for you in your life.

If you are able to spend time with family or friends, I hope that you are able to express to them what you are thankful for. If you are not able to be around others, please know that God is with you and it is also a great time to share with Him all of the things that you are thankful for that He has done for you. God's unconditional love is a blessing and something to be thankful for.
As you continue to be on this journey with God, there are times that you choose to follow Him and then there are times where you may do things outside of His Will. The disobedience that you choose may not seem as bad in the beginning of it, but over time, the adversary will continue to guide you to a path of negativity and destructive outcomes. Prayerfully, you will say no to the enemy (and even yourself) and yes to God so that you can stay on the right and purposeful path with the Lord.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will hear the experience that Ezekiel had in His encounter and vision that He had with God. The experience was so great that I am sure it was hard for Ezekiel to verbalize the glory of God. As you spend time with God today, I pray that you will also have an encounter with Him that leaves you seeking and glorifying Him daily.
Although it is never easy to face difficult things that come into your life, it becomes necessary to address and resolve those issues so that they won't continue to keep building up inside of you. God wants you to know that He is with you every step of the way if you keep trusting and believing in Him to help you through it. You can do this and you have to keep telling yourself that you can.
In today's podcast, you will be asked to reflect back and apply what you learned from Amos, the destructive Seed and Roots of Exploitation, and the new seed that God plants into you to uproot that destruction which is the Seed of Courage. Please understand that regardless of what you may feel that you can acquire in the world, especially with money and power, God has created you to do and be so much more for His Kingdom. Listen today and learn how to follow the path that God wants you to be on.
As you continue to listen to Part 2 of the Seed of Courage, allow yourself to think about different situations that have happened in your life and how your thoughts continue to guide you. Understand that God wants you to embrace the positive things that He has said about you and to avoid the negative thoughts that may affect your mental stability. Prayerfully, you will allow your voice partnered with the Holy Spirit inside of you to give you the confidence and the courage that you desire.
As you continue to seek out the voice of God and you remain open to be guided by Him, The Seed of Courage can teach you how to uproot the Seed of Exploitation and its roots, but it can also provide you the help that you need in gaining more trust in Him. There are many things that can prevent you from having the courage to move forward. Whether it is the attacks that are coming at you or it is your own fear that hinders you, by embracing the Seed of Courage you will feel and know that God is always with you.
In today's podcast, you will hear how the Root of Corruption can get the best of people as they seek to get whatever they can, even if it is at the expense of others. Although Amos dealt with this root over 2000 years ago, unfortunately, those same types of things happen today which lets you know that the adversary continues to influence people to do what he wants them to do. It becomes important to break this destructive pattern that he has you in by choosing to do things God's way.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will see that the things that Amos faced with the children of Israel are things that we also deal with in our own society. The Root of Fallacy seems to grow more and more. There are times where people want to listen and follow all of the narratives that are being conveyed on the air waves, social media, etc. as opposed to listening and doing the will of God. Prayerfully, there will be a sincere desire to seek God and do what He says to do so that we can represent Him in a pleasing way.
When the adversary tries to build the Root of Complacency in you, you can find yourself stuck in the challenges of life. As the enemy keeps attacking you, you may find yourself continuing to do things the way you want too. Following God is not your focus because you stay content. Try your best to break-free from this pattern and surrender to God. When you do, you will discover new things about yourself and with others.
As the adversary tries to plant this new seed into you, you will continue to battle within your mind and your thoughts as to the path that you will "choose" to take. Although there are times that people want to say, "the devil made me do it", it still becomes a matter of choice. Will you keep listening to the things that can cause destruction to you or someone else OR will you choose to listen to God so that He can guide you to a life of obedience and to have peace of mind with Him? Listen to today's podcast and see how Amos continued to share how the children of Israel handled things.
The goal of this study is for you to understand that you are not alone. Although there are times where you may feel that only negative situations happen to you or you may feel as if you can never get "a break", as you are reading the Bible and doing this study, you can see that people in the Bible had their own struggles as well. Throughout all of it, God is with you and He wants you to lean on Him so that He can help you, heal you, and develop you into the child of God that He has created you to become. Stay encouraged and know that you can do this.
As you are journeying through this study, I hope you are learning from the people in the Bible that has been shared and that their stories become not only teachable moments for you, but also that you can relate to their lives personally. Hopefully, their stories have also given you the courage to share your story to someone who may be going through some similar situations that you have experienced. As God guides you to share, may your life be the example that will help bring someone closer to God.
Now that you have seen how the Seed of Pride and the Roots of Arrogance, Prejudice, and Ruling can be formed inside of you, and you allow the Seed of Humility to uproot all of that, how will you use these lessons moving forward? As God continues to teach you, I pray that you will consistently listen to His voice in the Word and embrace the Holy Spirit living inside of you so that it can be the guidance that you need to make the right choices and decisions to please Him.
As you have continued to listen to God, you will now learn how to uproot the Seed of Pride and its roots by allowing Him to plant this new Seed of Humility inside of you. Developing this new seed can be challenging at times and it will cause you to break some things inside of you, but you will see that walking as a servant for God will have its rewards. The humility that you gain from it will be life-changing and worth all the effort that you have put into it.
As I share with you the last root that comes from the Seed of Pride, you will see that the main goal is to operate in a manner of control. The adversary will be trying to guide you to use authority in ways that it only pleases you. It will be important for you to turn away from that voice and allow God to use you in a way that not only pleases Him but you will have a sincere desire to help others as well.
As I conclude with the Root of Prejudice, I hope that you will make a conscious choice to follow the will of God instead of what the adversary is trying to influence you to do or act in a divisive way. Continue to learn from God as the Holy Spirit guides you. Also, as you listen to how King Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel, and his friends handled things, prayerfully, they will be teachable lessons for you to embrace.
As you continue to journey through the Root of Prejudice and you see how the enemy can develop it inside of you, you will learn the distinctions between direct and indirect racial prejudices. As you listen to the examples of each and discover how a negative pattern can form inside of you, please allow it to cause an awareness within you that not only prevents it from layering up inside of you, but also stops those narratives from being conveyed to others, especially your children.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will see how the adversary will begin to build his first root from the Seed of Pride if you decide to continue to follow his lead. If you choose to listen to his narrative, you will see that this can be one of the most destructive roots that can form and will go against one of God's greatest commandments...loving God and loving your neighbors. Prayerfully, you will allow God to continue to shape you and help you to build relationships so that you can be used by Him in a positive way.
If you decide to avoid God's voice, you will find that the adversary will begin to form the first root that comes from the Seed of Pride which is the Root of Arrogance. This root can make your relationships with others challenging because of your conversations and opinions that you may display to them. Please allow your behaviors to represent God and not the adversary. Listen today and also see how King Nebuchadnezzar displayed arrogance.
As you listen to today's podcast, you will discover how King Nebuchadnezzar showed his pride and made distinctions with people. There are times that the same can happen to you if you are not careful. Learn from his life and allow God to teach you how to watch out for the adversary's schemes in trying to influence you to have a selfish pride with others.
As the adversary begins to plant this new seed of destruction into you, initially you don't look at it as something that serious. You can have the Seed of Pride in various type of ways and you don't see the harm in it. Although there may be some truth to it, when the enemy causes this seed to grow into it, you will see not only the harm that it can do to you, but you will also see the damage that it can cause to others. Look to God and try to prevent this seed from forming into you.
As you listen to today's podcast, God is wanting you to continue to build your confidence and rely on Him. Regardless of how things may appear, God has and is the answer that you need to get you through what you may be facing. The enemy may try to get you to focus solely on you, but you must not listen to him. If you remain disobedient to God, you may find yourself dealing with some similar challenges that the children of Judah faced with King Nebuchadnezzar.
How confident are you about yourself? What or who do you lean on to give you the additional guidance that you need? There are many things and people that can take you in various directions and if you are not careful, you can be misguided. Listen and allow God to be the One who gives you all the confidence you need.
As you start to apply everything that you have learned from Nehemiah's life and the things that I have shared from the podcast, prayerfully, you will start to recognize that people will come after you because of your positivity and the belief that you have in God. Try to be strategic in your planning and your actions so that you can operate in God's authority and leadership. You will then see that the enemy doesn't have any power over you at all.
As I pick back up from the Seed of Leadership, it is important for you to push through everything and then, make the conscious choice to do it. Focus on God and please don't let the confusion around you to cause you to jump in and do things outside of God's will because of the pressure you feel inside. Always let your actions represent God in truth and in leadership.
Having leadership in situations is not always easy. It takes "intentional" time with God and being obedient to His guidance. There are times that you know what you need to do but you don't want to do it because of the amount of time that is required to complete the task. It becomes important to know your limits and keep balance in your life. Also, God knows what you are equipped with and you have to believe it for yourself.
As you listen to today's podcast and uncover the last root that can be planted into you from the Seed of Opposition, it becomes important for you to follow the lead of the Holy Spirit. The adversary will keep trying to get you to follow his pattern but you must not go down that path. Seeking God daily and allowing Him to minister to you will prevent you from reacting with the Root of Attacks, not only with yourself, but with others as well.
As the adversary starts to develop the next root from the Seed of Opposition, he steps up his game causing more destructive patterns to exist with the element of intimidation and power being its guidance. Whether it is you showing intimidation to others or other people are showing it to you, God does not want anyone to think that they have control over another person. Accountability will always be given. If it is not shown here on earth, God will definitely have the last say, so please know that.
There can be many different reasons that cause people to protest. Many times, it is based on an injustice that was done. There are times where it could be environmental, physical, political, and career-oriented. Regardless of what the nature of the protest is, your voice should be guided by the Lord and that He is ordering your steps to do His will and not the will of yourself. When you are taking a stand, please make sure that you know exactly what GOD told you to do so that it gives Him glory.
As the adversary begins to plant his next destructive seed against you, it becomes important to know what is really happening in the situation. Although the seed of opposition is coming against you from others, there may be some underlining events that have taken place with them to cause them to react in the way that they do. In every situation, please don't minimize the power that words can have positively or negatively. Listen and see also how Nehemiah continued to handle his challenges.
As you listen to today's podcast, I will continue the conversation on the importance of following the "will" of God. Although there are times that you have great intentions of doing so, there are those times that you can get pulled into other people's narratives; therefore, causing you to do or say things that are opposite of what God expects from you. Listen and discover some character traits from Nehemiah on how he operated into doing the will of God.

How is it going? As you know, it is up to you to spend the quality time with Him and apply the things that He is teaching you and guiding you to do. Now that you have journeyed through the Seed and Roots of Desire and you have also seen how Samson handled things, what have you learned? What do you think your next steps should be and how will you begin to move forward in your own situation? Remember, nothing good comes from selfish desires, especially ones that are influenced by the adversary. It may require you to make hard decisions but you can do this as long as you keep trusting God in all of it.
As God plants His new seed into you, you will see that things not only work better for you, but you have a willing desire to seek God more to please Him instead of pleasing self. You will recognize that your level of contentment is worth the effort and you realize more and more that you didn't need the things that you thought you needed or desired. Trust God's voice just as Samson did and know that God has you.
There are many things that the adversary can cause you to be addicted too if you give in to them. Regardless of what things you may feel tempted to participate in, you must find a way to refrain from them and allow God to direct your path. If you don't, they can cause a destructive path and it could take years to let go of them, if you are able to let go at all. Seek God and allow Him to give you the strength to stay true to Him and true to self.
There are times when your hurt and pain can get the best of you. As a result, you begin to form a plan to operate in these emotions by allowing the adversary to develop the next root inside of you which is the root of retaliation. Try your best to turn off his voice and listen to what God says in His Word. As you listen to today's podcast, you will see the mistakes that Samson made in his life and learn what God is trying to teach you.
As the first root starts to develop from the Seed of Desire, it will be important for you to lean more on God to guide you in the plans that you have for your life than to lean on others or your own selfish desires. Once you recognize that God is your source, show Him how much you appreciate Him by praising and thanking Him for all that He has done for your life.
It seems natural to have desires. Most people desire things with a sincere heart and then there are things that people desire from a selfish nature. The adversary can pull you into many directions causing you to desire things that are not aligned by God. It becomes important to seek after things that provide ultimate satisfaction and not a temporary fix. You can achieve that by seeking after God, having things guided by the Spirit, and learning also from Samson's life.
When you are trying to develop your plan with God, it will require you to be more open in your communication with Him. Allow Him to speak to you with clarity. Also, please don't be discouraged if there are times when things don't go the way you want them too. It is natural for some things to not go as anticipated but keep pushing through so that you life will be aligned the way God (and you) intended for it to go.
As you start to create your plan for your life, it becomes important that you are consistently checking-in with God so that you are following the right path. Of course, it is easy to do things the way that you want to, but are they the right choices and decisions to make? How will you know? Listen to today's podcast and allow your heart and mind to be open to hearing God's voice.
Whether you are trying to equip yourself to get a promotion on your job or you decide to rebrand yourself for a new experience, having a detailed plan will help you in your journey. Seek out the necessary resources that you need but in all of it, please make sure you ask God for direction so that you can fulfill the purpose that He has for you.
As you try to apply all that you have heard and learned with the seed and roots of idols, stay encouraged. Some situations may be hard to handle with yourself and some may be hard to deal with in others. If you continue to keep God front and center, He will help you and lead you into the direction you need to be going in. Believe in Him and also, believe in yourself.
As you continue to listen to Part 2 from the Seed of Deliverance, please allow yourself to be open in hearing the voice of God. Regardless of what has happened in your life, God can still turn things around for the better for you, but you must be willing to let Him guide you. Prayerfully, you will start a new journey with Him as you give yourself the permission to be free.
Although the Seed of Idols and its roots may have had a detrimental hold on you, God always has a plan to help you conquer the attacks from the enemy. The more you keep listening to God's voice and staying obedient to what He has told you to do, the more you will be delivered from these acts of destruction that the enemy tries to tempt you with. As you listen to today's podcast, stay encouraged and know that God wants the best for you.
As I continue to share about this last root from the Seed of Idols, you will see that it is one thing to have this root inside of you. It becomes even more challenging to deal with someone else that has this root inside of them. How do you handle it when they have wronged you? What steps do you take in trying to resolve the situation? Prayerfully, you will include God in every step that you take with others as well as with your own self.
When the adversary has you participating in this root, it can have a major stronghold on you. You will want to continue in it and it will be up to you to make the conscious choice to follow in the will of God or to continue to operate in how you want to do things, regardless of the hurt that it may cause others, and yes, even "you." You will have to be committed to God completely in order to break from this root. Are you willing to do so?
The adversary continues to keep the focus on you as he tries to have a deeper hold on you by creating a new root from the Seed of Idols. Within this root, things become even more challenging for you because you don't want to see things any other way except for how you can benefit and people will start to disassociate themselves from you. It will take a conscious effort from you to break this inner mentality. Are you willing to do so? If not, what keeps you here?
Today, you will see how the enemy can start to form a new root from the Seed of Idols if you continue to follow his narrative. Within this new root, you will be consumed with self and you don't have a problem letting people know of your success. Allow God to minister to you. It is not a problem to share those things but there should be a balance in celebrating self and celebrating others also.
When this new seed is planted into you, it can come in various forms depending on how much time, emphasis, and power that you give it. Regardless of what idols have formed, it will require you to make God the priority in your life as He helps you prevent these idols from developing and growing stronger. It will take effort, but you can do it with God's guidance.
There will always be times where you will need to make a choice of doing things to please self or doing things to please God. As you seek God and listen to His guidance, it will help you to become more obedient to Him. Although things will continue to affect you and/or influence you, it will be your actions that determines your stand on things and who you choose to serve.
Hopefully and prayerfully, your relationship with God continues to grow and you are starting to hear His voice with more clarity. The adversary will continue to try to get you off of your path by influencing you to indulge into certain wants and desires that you may have. You will need to seek God even more so that He can guide you into receiving the things that are from Him and not the things that can cause you to spiral downward.
Regardless of how bad things seem, God can still bring you through it. What will be the steps that you take to start the process of healing? Will you allow yourself to be committed to the plan of growth and progression? Although you may feel alone, you are never alone. This root will solicit a reactive response but there are times you can suffer in silence. If he does, a new root is planted and it can affect all areas of your life: body, soul, and spirit. See how Job dealt with this root when he was attacked by the enemy. God's Seed of Survival, The Seed of Joy will overpower the Seed of Bitterness if you are in total submission to allowing God to handle the situation completely. Hold onto God's voice at all times and you will ultimately feel His presence working inside of you through the Holy Spirit.

As I continue the conversation of the Seed of Bitterness, it becomes necessary to understand what has become your focus. What is the dialogue that you keep having in your mind? When will you choose to start a new narrative of positivity and peace within? Listen and allow today's program to help you in the process.
Today, you will discover a new seed, the Seed of Bitterness that can be planted into you if you continue to choose to do things your way instead of God's way. Today, I will pick up from yesterday's overview of Section 1. There are going to be things that influence you in the world that can cause you to get off the path that God has you on. Have you been able to operate in God's Seeds of Survival or are you operating in the adversary's seeds of destruction? Hopefully, you have been putting the work in and you have allowed the Bible and the books of Conquering the Seeds of Destruction to help you.
Today, I will be covering a brief overview of what I have covered so far in dealing with the seeds and roots of destruction. I pray that you will make a commitment to do the necessary work that is found in the book and the workbook. Learn from the people in the Bible and implement the tools from the books to achieve the life of abundance God has for you.
God's Seed of Survival - The Seed of Honesty will help you to combat the Seed of Gossip. When you make the conscious choice of operating in God's characteristics, you will display integrity, credibility, and honesty in your demeanor. Learn from Jesus on how He displayed honesty and continue to seek God for more discipline in your conversations with others.
Please understand that just because you have fulfilled certain wants and desires from a lie, it will be short-lived. Listen and see how things can start off being enjoyable, but chaos and confusion will be around the corner.
The last root that is watered to grow inside of you from the Seed of Gossip is the Root of Lying. This root can be very destructive because it goes completely against what God says to do which is to speak truth. As a result, the root of lying is also one of the things that God hates. Always know that nothing good comes out of a lie.
Yesterday, I talked with you about the Root of Betrayal and you listened to how a betrayer could be affected in situations. Today, I am going to discuss how victims of betrayals are affected and how they may choose to handle situations that involve unpredictable and predictable betrayals. It becomes important to learn the six steps in order to move forward in your life when someone has betrayed you.
The Root of Betrayal that is watered by the enemy can affect a person deeply and sometimes, it can be hard (but not impossible) for the person to overcome. This root can also affect each person involved differently. Today, listen and see how the betrayer deals with situations.
When the enemy plants the Root of Slander into you, you have decided to not only allow the Seed of Gossip to grow inside of you, but you also give yourself the permission to spread negative and false information about others. See how Jesus dealt with this root with the Pharisees and learn from Him. Also, meditate on the Scriptures Matthew 12:22-37.
Unlike most seeds, the enemy plants the Seed of Gossip into a person in settle ways and most people minimize its level of destruction. Listen and discover how the seed of gossip can form into you and cause detriment to your life.
God wants you to keep seeking Him and trusting Him so that you can be obedient to His Will. Therefore, it becomes necessary to not just to go along to get along to please others, nor should your focus be on pleasing yourself consistently. Meditate and memorize the two greatest commandments that Jesus gave to man and let those be your guide daily.
How you communicate and relate to others can be essential in the types of relationships that you build with people. What is your primary goal in the relationship? Listen and determine if your conversations are growing and developing with others and with the Holy Spirit.
God wants you to hear His voice and to operate in the things that He says to do. He also wants you to be able to display forgiveness and to let go of the things that has happened to you so that it will guide you into becoming a better servant for Him. Listen and allow God to equip you completely.
I shared with you yesterday the Plan of Salvation and how to connect with Jesus. Once you have done that, it becomes important to make sure that you learn how to forgive others. Being one of God’s children means also acting like He does. You must be willing to operate in the same characteristics that He does. You will also see how God restored David’s kingdom through one of David’s sons. David’s son touched God’s heart because of what he asked God for as he became king. Always know that God searches the hearts of man.
As you listen to today’s podcast, you will uncover one of God’s most rewarding and necessary character traits that He has bestowed on everyone and that is the Seed of Forgiveness. The forgiveness that He grants to you is not only powerful, but it continues to show the unconditional love that He has for His people. If you haven’t met Him, you can listen, follow, and acknowledge the Plan of Salvation for yourself or to be willing to share it to someone else who may not know Him.
As your life continues to spiral downward, you are now faced with the last root that the enemy can form from the Seed of Violation and that root is called the Root of Pain. When you have reached this level, you are now at rock bottom. You keep re-living the painful scenarios over and over again and you can’t find a way past it. As you listen today, you will discover that in your level of vulnerability, it will require you to be ALL IN in giving the situation(s) to God and putting the work in to recover from it. You will also see that sometimes the enemy will use your kids to cause havoc in your life, just like he did with David and his children.
If you find yourself still trying to do things your way, you may start to develop this next root that the enemy can form into you and that root is called the Root of (Feeling) Broken. How did you get to this level of brokenness? Why do you keep holding onto the pain that you had experienced in the past? What will it take for you to move past it? Listen and learn how God can help you answer these questions. See also how David’s children started to follow in his footsteps.
Today, I am going to finish talking about the Root of Shame. As your relationship continues to grow with the Holy Spirit, allow Him to minister to you so that you can learn and grow from your mistakes. Please don’t beat yourself up too bad because everyone goes through things. As you listen to David, you will see that he also messed up, but God was willing to forgive him. God saw his remorse for his sin and his repented heart that wanted to do better. Your situation may not be the same but there may be lessons that you can learn from him.
As the enemy keeps trying to consume you and you listen to him, he will begin to plant the first root that comes out of the Seed of Violation which is the Root of Shame. There are many things that a person can feel shame about based on what they may have done in their life. Also, the shame you feel may be the result of the hurt and pain you caused to someone else. Listen and see how you can have feelings of shame that can come from the enemy and from the Holy Spirit.
Today, I am discussing a new seed, The Seed of Violation. This new seed can be hard to escape from because it can affect you physically, mentally, and emotionally, not only as the victim of a violation but also as an attacker. Because it can affect most of your existence of who you are, it can take some time to uproot it completely. Please understand that God will be with you every step of the way if you remain open to Him. Also, do recognize that no one is exempt from sin. See how one of God’s chosen men was involved in the Seed of Violation.
When you become a child of God, do you really see yourself as a child that needs to mature and grow with God, even if you are an adult? This is exactly what needs to take place. Since you are created in the image of God and God is a Spirit, you will need to be trained by Him. You can start to represent Him as one of His children in the correct way. Also, listen and see who God chose next in leading His people.
As you grow and mature as a Christian, you should now be able to put away some of those things that you did in your flesh. Your spiritual nature should not only be visible, but your desire to live in it can become more satisfying. You will see that pleasing God becomes more important than pleasing self.
In this introduction of Chapter 5, you will first get an overview and summary of what has already been discussed in the first 4 chapters. Also, you will continue to see the importance of operating in your spiritual rebirth and remaining open into building a close and personal relationship with God. It will be important to hear God’s voice so that it can guide you daily in staying obedient to Him and preventing the enemy’s distractions to overtake you.
At some point when negative things come upon you, you must find a way to do the opposite of what it is saying. If you are alone, find someone to connect with so that you can build a positive relationship with them. Sometimes, the best way to overcome situations in your life is to do something positive into someone else’s life. Listen and see how saying “no” to the enemy and “yes” to God can be a benefit to both you and others.
As you have been dealing with The Seed of Loneliness, by now you can see how there can be a step-by-step process that can keep you in a mental and emotional state of feeling alone. God does not want you to live in that state. He wants you to know that He is always there. God plants the Seed of Respect into you, and He wants you to respect yourself and to respect others. When God puts His stamp of approval on you, you are validated by Him so hold onto that. Listen and see how God had respect for King Saul even within all the things he went through.
Although life can be very hard, it can also bring joyful and wonderful experiences. However, when negative things happen, there is a tendency to hold onto those situations and minimize the great things. These are the ways that the enemy seeks to destroy you. You are worthy, valued, significant, unique, and loved unconditionally. Please don’t minimize who you have been created to be. God created you specifically for a defined purpose so you must keep living and believing in yourself that you CAN reach and fulfill all that God has for you.
Because fear can cause deeper levels of isolation, you may not feel comfortable being in a relationship. You must continue to hold onto what God tells you and all the things that He has equipped you with to overcome this root. God wants you to connect with others. He also wants you to let go of situations that were not favorable in your life. Listen and learn how to use those things as tools for growth and not crutches of despair.
Many people struggle with fear. There are many things that people have a fear of so it can be a strong root that can be hard to overcome, but it is not impossible. The goal for the enemy is to make you feel as if you don’t have what it takes to overcome it. King Saul also operated in fear and didn’t handle things the way he needed to. Listen and see the different ways that fear can consume you and how you should respond to it.
As I continue the discussion from yesterday on The Root of Rejection, it becomes important to decide whose voice you will continue to keep listening to, God’s voice or the enemy’s voice. There will always be things that can challenge you, but you must believe that God is still working behind the scenes to help you. Listen to see how King Saul chose to do things and how it worked out for him. You must learn how to trust God in EVERYTHING!
In some instances, the enemy doesn’t have to work as hard in forming the Root of Rejection into you. You may be at the crossroads of life, so you don’t know what to do next. You seem to hold onto all the negative things that have happened to you, and it causes you to feel as if no one is there. You must find a way to muster up the courage and believe that your life is significant. Always know that God wants to use you to do a mighty work for Him.
As I continue the discussions on the Seed of Loneliness, one of the ways that the enemy can trick you is to make you think that you don’t need anyone, not even God. As he isolates you, you will start to get content and believe that you are in total control. As you see how King Saul handled things in his own life, learn from him and make sure that you are including God in all the decisions that you make. You will be glad that you did.
As your journey continues in self-discovery, how open are you? Do you allow yourself to engage with others or do you stay to yourself? The enemy would love to keep you by yourself so he plants the Seed of Loneliness into you so that he can keep placing thoughts into your mind to make you doubt yourself and feel insecure. God wants you to learn how to step outside of your box and discover who you really are with Him. Keep spending time with God to find out.
It becomes important that you understand one major thing while you are here on this earth…you are NOT alone. God is always with you and by connecting to Jesus, you will see Him in a different way. The enemy will always keep trying to convince you differently, but it becomes important to turn off his voice and learn how to listen to the voice of God.
In this introduction of Chapter 4, I share with you how people want to know why they are here and what their purpose is. As you start to search for what you like to do and who you are to become, you run into some challenges along the way. If you don’t know how to handle them, it can cause you to be distant with others. Know that God doesn’t want you to stay in this mindset of being isolated. He created you to be involved in relationships.
As you listen today, I share my own thoughts of the anger that people may be experiencing. As you look at our society, there are many things that keep people on the edge. It becomes important to know where that anger stems from. It is the enemy that is pulling the strings and placing the negative thoughts into your minds. How you choose to handle situations either with God or without Him will determine if things evolve positively or negatively.
There are many things that can cause you to be angry and some rightfully so. However, you must keep in mind that you can’t allow the things that you may want to obtain to cause you to lash out onto others. Also, you can’t allow “your” expectations of someone be the driving force of what you think someone else should do for “you”. God has each person on a plan of purpose for Him, so it becomes important to know what that plan is for your own life.
Because you are tired of operating into the Seed and Roots of Anger, you are now open into hearing the voice of God. God plants the Seed of Peace into you to not only help you learn how to process your feelings but so that you can align those feelings to His Word and not be consumed by them. Surrendering to Him completely becomes the key and you will have to do that, just as Moses did. God calls all of us to live in peace with everyone.
As you continue to deal with the Root of Blame, it can become hard to let go of. You will hear that the children of Israel didn’t handle things well also. The hurt and pain that you feel others had caused you may drive you to seek revenge on them; however, you must find a way to heal from it. Learn the lessons that are necessary, and you will be able to grow as God wants you too.
When the Root of Blame is planted into you, there are times that you feel that your hardships or challenges is because of what someone has done to you. Although there may be some things that you may have done in your life, blaming others becomes easier than pulling up your own mirror and holding yourself accountable. As you listen, God wants you to resist the devil so that he will flee from you in your mind and you will make the choices that God wants you to make.
As the Root of Negativism continues to operate into your life, you must realize that it becomes imperative to not allow other people to influence you. Leaders can struggle in this, and they may have to learn how to delegate so that they can do God’s Will, just as Moses had to learn this quality also. Asking others to help not only benefits you, but it allows God to use someone else’s gifts too. As you listen, trust God completely and be open to other ways of doing things.
There are times that negative things can happen to you, and it can keep you stuck in those situations. When the Root of Negativism is planted into you, it can become difficult to push through the painful events of your life. Also, other people can cause you to feel down because of the negative information that they always share with you. Learn how to prevent this type of behavior from resonating into your spirit.
Today, you will continue to hear about the Root of Complaining as you uncover the other component which is being a receiver of complaints. Although you may not be a person who complains, how do you respond to people who complain frequently? Do you hold them accountable? Do you allow them to express themselves and just listen to it? You will see that it may require you to either share your concerns or to be understanding by not putting expectations on them that they may not be able to handle.
If you continue to allow your feelings to be guided by the enemy, you will see that he will start to develop his first root that comes from the Seed of Anger which is the Root of Complaining. The Root of Complaining consists of two components. Today, listen and hear how being a giver of complaints causes you to only think and operate in your own feelings. Because of this, you will see how things can affect you and how Moses dealt with the children of Israel with complaining behaviors.
Although negative things may happen to you, it is up to you on how you will choose to respond to those things. The enemy will keep bringing the situation to you front and center while God is trying to guide you into an opposite direction. As the enemy planted the Seed of Anger with the children of Israel, you will hear how God guided Moses to handle the situation. The Seed of Anger can get planted into you if you allow your feelings and emotions to get the best of you. How will you choose to handle things?
As you are trying to listen to God, it can be challenging on how to process His answers for your life. When you want a specific answer, His response may not be in the way you want it and as a result, you may not accept His answer and do things the way you want them to be done. God will never leave you nor forsake you, so you must trust Him in everything. You will hear that Moses had to learn that also.
It becomes important to understand that as a human being, you have three main components: a body, soul, and a spirit. Once you understand how each one guides you, it will become necessary to process how you can be drawn in by your feelings on a situation. Operating in your emotions can cause both positive and negative reactions. Listen to God and allow Him to guide you on what He says and sees is best for your life.
Initially growing up, it was hard for me to understand where I fit in. As time went on, the lack of confidence within continued to challenge me and I found myself trying to be a people pleaser instead of being the child of God I was created to be. What I had learned was that I needed to surrender to God and to seek His approval instead of the approval of others.
In my own personal testimony, I have had my struggles with the Seeds and Roots of Miscommunication and Misinterpretation causing many years of trying to figure out my identity and where I belonged. What I had learned was that going through the journey is never easy, but I had to trust God in all of it. Over time, I was able to see God’s hand in it from the beginning.
Learning how to operate in God’s standards instead of the world’s standards can be challenging but not impossible to do. There are times that you may also need to show a sincere act of kindness to help others instead of helping yourself. When you do these things, you will look at gaining approval in a different light.
Whose voice do you listen to… God’s voice or the enemy’s voice? What do you think or believe about yourself when you receive information? It is these two questions and others that will be addressed so that you can operate in a life of approval with God. He wants that for you, and you must decide if you want it for yourself.
Staying guided by God becomes necessary and important for you to not be distracted by the enemy. He tries to place people into your life to place expectations onto you so that it can cause you to feel as if you don’t measure up on certain things or that people only see you as significant based on what you did for them. Listen to God’s voice and learn your real worth just as the new man Abraham did.
The Seed of Approval that God plants into you is so important for you to know because He wants you to understand who you are and whose you are. When you understand that, you will be able to handle the affirmations that God speaks into you as well as the characteristics of Him that He teaches you through the Holy Spirit living inside of you.
Although things may look hopeless and you feel that you are at rock bottom or at your breaking point, you must find a way to not allow the enemy to feed into your mind with the Root of a Nervous Breakdown. He wants to keep you in that defeated mentality. Listen and find ways to keep trusting God and know that He will heal your broken heart, just as God did with Hagar.
Have you ever gotten to a point where nothing makes sense anymore? Do you feel that you are unsettled, and you don’t know what your next steps should be? The Root of Being Unstable can cause you to make irrational decisions because you are not allowing God to help you to think things through, but you are allowing the enemy to guide you in your emotions. When the root of insecurity comes upon you, you have decided to listen to the enemy as he causes uncertainty and anxiety to reign in your life. Unfortunately, he will make sure that every hurt, flaw, and mistake is front and center in your life and you continue to re-live those things over and over in your mind. Learn how to break the enemy’s cycle of a defeated mind as shown through Abram.

What type of thoughts do you keep replaying in your mind? How do you view yourself? Do you like what you see in the mirror? God wants you to look and act like Him because you were created in His image. God wanted the same for Abram and told him what He would give him. It becomes important to have good thoughts and to let go of the bad ones. Learn how to process your thoughts and allow God to help you.
Many of the characteristics that exist inside of you may be because of the ideas, opinions, or viewpoints that were planted into you, whether positively or negatively. As you have grown, what feedback do you embrace and internalize. Listen and see what things that others have said about you that has shaped you.
Being able to communicate within all the various types of channels and venues can be rewarding. However, if open and positive communication are not achieved, are you willing to put the work in to reach a level of understanding? Discover the various clarifying questions to ask so that you can reach effective communication while never assuming anything.
Today, I am picking back up from our discussion yesterday on the Seed of Truth. Talking with God is important in building a close and personal relationship with Him. Learn different ways of praying and its importance of why to have it in your life. You will also see how the Seed of Truth was planted into Adam and Eve and how their life progressed with God.
Getting to the truth is one of the most important things that each of us should seek after. What becomes the foundation of that truth? How do you align yourself against the truth? The first root, which is the Root of Doubt, can form into you if you are not for sure on what to do next in your life. Listen to what happens as the serpent continues to influence the woman and see how she responds and begins to change.
