What happens when you’re tired but keep asking your body to push through?
In Part 1 of this three part series on exhaustion and rest, we explore the physical exhaustion that can arise when we repeatedly override the body’s natural rhythms. Ignoring fatigue, tension, and moving through hormonal or seasonal changes as if our energy should remain constant...
Over time, this disconnection can leave us feeling depleted, tense and unable to truly settle.
In this episode, you’ll discover:
• What it means to live in a state of physical override
• Why exhaustion isn’t always solved by getting more sleep
• The difference between checking out and high-quality rest
• How yoga nidra can support deep rest and renewed body awareness
• How to begin responding to your body before its whispers become demands
If you’ve been experiencing fatigue, burnout or disconnection from your body’s needs, this episode offers a welcoming place to begin listening to your inner rhythms again.

What happens when the life that looks safe on paper no longer feels true in your body?
In the first-ever guest episode of the Innerswim Podcast, Jaylyn sits down with Serena Arora: bestselling author of Unbound, Ayurvedic health practitioner, certified yoga therapist, retreat leader and international speaker.
Born in Canada to an Indian father and Chinese mother, Serena shares her nonlinear journey of untangling herself from cultural conditioning, generational expectations, people-pleasing and the pressure to follow a path that never fully felt like her own.
Together, Jaylyn and Serena explore:
• The inner conflict between intuition and obligation
• Why the “safe” path isn’t always the most life-giving one
• Serena’s concepts of “immigrit” and “immiguilt”
• How inherited fear and conditioning can live in the body
• Breaking generational patterns without rejecting the women who came before us
• The maternal lineage behind Serena’s memoir, Unbound
• Ayurveda, yoga, nature and feminine embodiment as pathways back to ourselves
• Learning to trust your inner compass and choose a more aligned life
This is a heartfelt conversation about immigrant daughterhood, ancestral healing, burnout, belonging, feminine wisdom and the courage it takes to become the woman you have always known yourself to be.
If you have ever felt caught between who you were expected to become and who you truly are, this episode is for you.

What is the spiritual meaning of menstruating under a full moon or new moon?
In this episode, we explore the relationship between the menstrual cycle and the lunar cycle, and what your bleeding time may reveal about your energy, emotions, inner world and personal season of transformation.
Bleeding under a particular moon phase does not mean you are more spiritual, more aligned or doing your cycle “correctly.” There is no moon phase under which you should menstruate. While the full and new moons carry symbolic meanings, the deeper invitation is to notice how you feel during the moon phase you're currently aligned with.
In this episode, you’ll explore:

In this summer solstice episode, we explore three rituals and reflections for the 2026 Summer Solstice on Sunday, June 21. This is a gentle invitation into cyclical living, seasonal reflection, and aligning with the light at the peak of the solar year.
Together, we’ll reflect back on any insights, visions, or intentions that arose around the winter solstice; move through a journaling ritual inspired by the metaphorical flowers, fruits, sprouts, and seeds present in your life now; and open to the nourishment of the sun through light, warmth, pure prana, and what I like to call light codes.

What if the obstacles, inharmonies, and difficulties we meet along the path are not signs that something has gone wrong, but invitations into deeper growth?
Inspired by a quote from Charles F. Haanel’s The Master Key System, this episode explores energetic flow, spiritual growth, non-attachment, and the sacred exchange between letting go and receiving what we need. We reflect on what it means to compost old energy, beliefs, patterns, and identities so that something more aligned can take root.
This conversation is for the person in a season of deep growth, transition, or inner expansion. Together, we explore being in a more conscious and reciprocal relationship with the universe, moving through your growth edge, releasing what no longer serves, and opening to what your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being may be asking of you now.
For those who are ready to go deeper into these energetic principles and embody them more fully, you are invited to discover the Innerswim Sanctuary membership: a space for empowered creatives, intuitives, and seekers who are ready to live with more depth, presence, and inner alignment.

Welcome to this episode about self-empowerment, claiming your space, and living your full potential. It’s a common story in womanhood — and especially within highly sensitive people — to shrink, contort, or override our inner impulses for the sake of making others comfortable. Shrinking ourselves in this way leads to frustration, resentment and regret, because the reality is that we are here to take up space, radiate our beautiful, authentic energy, and expand. This podcast episode offers practical tips and insights for claiming your space, grounded in body language, somatic cues, and the language of subtle energy.
If you sense that you could use a little more self-love, self-compassion, and inner permission to stop holding yourself back, this episode is for you.

In this episode, we explore the subtle but powerful gifts of being a highly sensitive person: the intuitive, emotional, energetic, and spiritual strengths that are often overlooked or undervalued.
Many highly sensitive people move through the world feeling like their sensitivity is “too much,” when in truth, these traits can open the door to deeper empathy, creativity, intuition, nervous system awareness, and a more spiritually enriched way of being.
About 20% of the population is said to have highly sensitive traits. Are you one of them?
This episode is an invitation to remember the gifts you carry, the quiet magic you bring, and the ways your sensitivity can become a source of wisdom, connection, and service in the world.

In this episode, we explore the menstrual cycle as a spiritual practice and a doorway into wisdom, intuition, feminine rhythm, and cyclical living. This episode is for anyone longing to reconnect with their body, honour their natural rhythms, deepen their intuition, and bring more tenderness, presence, and meaning into their relationship with their menstrual cycle.
We explore:
∘ Menstrual cycle awareness/Womb awareness as a spiritual practice

∘ How your cycle can support intuition and self-trust
∘ Reclaiming your cycle from shame, pressure, and productivity culture
May this episode support you in listening more deeply to your body and remembering that your rhythm is something to honour.

In this spring-inspired episode of the Innerswim Podcast, we explore the deeper truth that growth is not something we force; it is something that becomes possible when the body, heart, and energy system feel safe enough to open.
Blending nervous system health with subtle energy dynamics, this talk is for highly sensitive and intuitive women who may be craving expansion, clarity, or change, but know that true growth cannot happen from a place of chronic overwhelm, over-efforting, or disconnection. We explore why grounding is essential for healing and sustainable transformation, and how tending to your inner foundation creates the conditions for more easeful growth.
This episode offers a gentle reframe for anyone moving through a new season and longing to feel more rooted, resourced, and aligned from the inside out.

Have you ever said yes to something and immediately felt tension in your body? Or felt a deep sense of relief the moment you decided no?
In this episode of the Innerswim Podcast, we explore how to recognize your body’s subtle signals of alignment and misalignment. Your body is constantly communicating through sensation (like tightness, openness, heaviness, or expansion), and learning to read these signals is a powerful way to strengthen your intuition.
If you’re a highly sensitive or intuitive woman who struggles with decision-making, people-pleasing, or overriding your inner knowing, this episode will help you reconnect with your body’s wisdom. You’ll learn how to distinguish a true embodied “yes” from a “no,” and how nervous system awareness can support more aligned choices.

In this episode, we reframe sensitivity as more than overwhelm or anxiety. If you identify as a highly sensitive person (HSP), an empath, or a deeply intuitive woman, you’ve likely been told you’re “too much” or “too emotional.” But what if your sensitivity isn’t a flaw...what if it’s one of your greatest strengths?

Have you ever noticed that your energy changes through the different phases of your menstrual cycle? In one phase, you're feeling inspired and energetic, and in the next phase, you are quiet and reflective. What if these shifts in energy were a sign of an intelligent design moving through you? And, what if you courageously decided to honour this inner rhythm?
Today's episode is inspired by the intuitive guidance I received from my own cycle: to do in the yang side (follicular/ovulation phases) and to un-do on the yin side (luteal/menstruation). Easier said than done! But when we honour our energetic shifts through the cycle, we support our creativity, nervous system regulation, hormonal balance, happiness, and more.
I hope this episode encourages you to connect with and trust your own inner rhythm, as it guides you to becoming who you are meant to become.

Dear Ones,
Welcome or welcome back to the podcast!
I wanted to create a quick episode explaining why I've rebranded this show from 'Human Flower' to 'Innerswim.' Don't worry, the intention to connect with womb wisdom, menstruality, and intuition still lives here. If anything, it's growing stronger!
Innerswim is the name of my website, and it reflects all of the beautiful offerings that I share to support intuitive women. More on that in the podcast.
I hope you enjoy this little re-introduction!

Jaylyn
