Jane Gleeson-White joins us to discuss the value that we place on the environment, and on women. We also hear Jane's thoughts on sustainability, what it means to her and way in which individuals can be more sustainable.

Jane Gleeson-White is a writer and the author of four books: Six Capitals(2020, 2014), Double Entry (2011),Australian Classics (2007) and Classics (2005), and three recent essays: ‘Erasure: Women, economics and language’ (Griffith Review 73, August 2021), ‘My womb is not terra nullius’ (Choice Words, 2019) and ‘Valuing Country’ (Griffith Review 63, 2019).

Her book reviews and essays have been widely published, including by the Griffith Review, Sydney Review of Books, Meanjin, Sydney Morning Herald andThe Guardian.

Rachel Perkins joins us to discuss the 'Sustainable Development Goals' and what they mean. Rachel also gives us her thoughts on what sustainability means to her, and what individuals can do to make an impact.

Rachel has completed her PhD in regional tourism at Griffith University, while also working at the Griffith Centre for Sustainable Enterprise where we she led the ‘War on Coffee Cups’ campaign, earning her a Staff Sustainability Award. Rachel also teaches within Griffith Business School over a number of courses including Leadership for Sustainable Business and The Purpose of Business.
