'Apocalypse' in Ancient Greek means a disclosure or revelation of great knowledge. In a churning world, two sisters with extremely different opinions and very similar values unite to discuss wildness, fear and transformation, finding love as a grounding force in a tumultuous time. Humanity stands at a great precipice of awakening and we believe the journey is inward to become the change.
We talk deeply about astrology, nature and this wild ride on earth, bringing the 'both/and' to life. We unite where the sun and the moon collide.

In today’s episode of our podcast, we talk to one of our Wild Sky Sisters, Sophie Maliphant. Tamara and Sophie met in 2017 during a Wild Power course with the Red School. We were ecstatic to find each other as we were both working with Nepali communities and developed a friendship that has blossomed into many different areas: in friendship, non-profit work, astrology and design. We are launching a collaboration with with Sophie to illuminate small businesses by combining our talents: the Wild Sky Sisters partner with you to do a Business Natal Chart Reading and the Firefly Creatrix partners with you on a creative package for your logo and visual elements. In this episode, Sophie talks about how she first cognitively knew she was a free spirited creatrix at the early age of four. She entered the more rigid and structured world of graphic design as an adult and is now reclaiming her wild roots as a free-spirited visual magician. Sophie reveres and does much work with menstrual cycle awareness and the wisdom of our natural cycles. She birthed Kumari’s Moon Cycle: a collaborative project that illuminates the moon cycle for young girls in a beautiful book and is complemented by empowering workshops. In Jungian psychology, everyone’s shadow is that part of themselves which they do not want to acknowledge, usually due to shame or fear. The “shadow” can in fact be anything, including a “bright shadow”–gifts or strengths that a person disowns for one reason or another. Others before me have argued that much of the evil in the world may be due to our inability to own our shadows; that healing requires this ownership and self-management. Integration and self-correction then prevents truly harmful deeds from being acted out.

In this launch episode of the Inner Apocalypse, two sisters, Ang Moffitt and Tamara McLellan, discuss the name 'Inner Apocalypse' and why we chose it. We then go deeply into what a trigger means to us and how we can come to the teaching that is held within each one.
We discuss family and who can trigger us deeply (Ang's Mars is directly on Tamara's ascendant).
Tools to help with Triggers:
*Using the phrase "Button pushed, trigger engaged" in the moment to help bring awareness and take a pause.
*Use the mantra - "My safety lies in my defenselessness" (from A Course in Miracles).
*Take one deep breath.
*Ask yourself before you speak - "Is this kind, is this true?"
*Take 15 minutes before responding.
Journal questions:
How can we learn from a trigger?
What event or circumstance happens to you where you feel the most triggered?
Do you allow yourself your first reaction?
Who's responsibility is it once you have been triggered?
After that reaction, is your tendency to blame or shame?
How can you take responsibility for yourself in the trigger?
Do you offer trigger warnings when speaking about deep intense topics?
How can you see the trigger mirrored within?
Have you been triggered by joy?
Homework:
~Notice the triggers as they come in this week, notice the physical change that comes with it, and sit with the feelings.
~Ask the question - Where does this live within me?
~Simply take responsibility for what we can control - with how we respond.
~Contemplate the balance between self and other.
~Create a list of the things you love about a respected person in your life. Read the list aloud to yourself while looking yourself in the eyes in a mirror. All of these things exist inside of YOU.
